Guess that explains the 521 error I'm experiencing

I think franky1 is onto something there. If they don't have a rock-solid secure infrastructure insofar as security is concerned they more than likely don't want to invite the bitcoin hacker talent anywhere near their systems.

Should I even stick around in this campaign? It's turning really sketchy...
Sure not looking to good for this signature campaign. So the rule of thumb in situations like this is >30 days basically BS?

I still have not received my refund.
Did he ever refund you Mountaingoat?

Well on a slightly more positive note at least there appears to be quite a bit more Buy structure on havelock for peta.

Just an FYI spelling error in your opening post:
*You have to zero or positive trust status, and not be labeled as scammer. **Newibes can not join this campaign.

This is just sad. Though I haven't invested anything in KnC I feel bad for their customers. More and more of these asic manufacturers seem to be walking all over their customer bases. Hope this trend doesn't continue much longer but I fear it will.

I have Teamviewer install to manage my home computer, so I just use that as well.
Teamviewer works great as a windows-based solution if you want to avoid all the headaches associated with port-forwarding, etc. Just setup some sort of proxy-system with teamviewer installed that has access to all the subnets for S2's that you want to be able to access. You can then either access the web-interface or download putty and ssh into the box.

..the community should rally for proven and established members that have been the victim, regardless of "coulda shoulda wudda" finger pointing and provide help where needed, especially for something important. Nothing is 100% safe and secure and I'm a little shocked at the lack of pledges here.
With that in mind (and thinking how upset my real boss would be if our wedding day had been in jeopardy) I'd be happy to send a gift of 1BTC, I don't want it back.
I'm glad to see this too... and i agree -- its a little surprising that more people aren't helping out. I hope they will inspired to the rally. Here here. Couldn't agree with these two posts more. Really re-assuring to see good people helping other good people still a respected aspect of the bitcoin ecosystem.

Are they on blockchain.info or implemented in some kind of code in the protocol?
Do they exist?
Can I see them?

hello, I am a total beginner. I have in my wallet 0.20247 bitcoins. My question is what should I do with them these days (excluding from saving it for years)? Should I buy other digital currencies? Should I invest in funds? if so which ones? Should I donate? Should I play with it in a stock market? Any suggestion or comment would be appreciated.
thanks.
Hold onto these puppies for dear life for the next 36 months.

due to bitcoin, is it possible that there is only one currency in the future? please show your comments. thanks
Highly unlikely imho. I suspect that sooner or later most fiat will lose it's value fairly quickly in most countries in coming years. Hard assets and crypto's seem to be where it's at. As far as there only being one? Seriously doubt that as well. I suspect we will have half a dozen or so relatively stable coins focused on specific feature-set's, services, markets, etc.

Why fix something thats not broken this is more important than you realize. Right. The core protocol should be simple and robust. "Features" should be added at a higher-layer. We don't want "updates" for our money. What I'd like to see at the core level (over the next decade or so) are: - phasing out of transaction malleability by specifying a canonical TX form - floating fees - floating blocksize - block propagation by TX hash when possible - smart blockchain downloads (dispersed across more than one node) Floating fees are probably most important and that's what Gavin is doing now. It is vastly more important to get these changes "right" than to get them "right now." Couldn't agree with this fella more. Slow and steady wins the race at this point. Don't think e-mail has gone through any sort of radical fundamental layer changes since the mid-70's.

Wouldn't recommend selling more than 15-20% of your coins at most. I too am expecting a fairly large dip after the auction but not as a result of anybody buying the coins at Marshall's auction premium. My guess: one or more big bag holders will want to get people to sell their coins so they can re-buy cheap.
