it feels like projects like  these, scrypt, group buys.  are design to suk  coin out of the bitcoin community. just an secondary layer to the manufactures . dont think for one second the people runing these outfit  dont no what their doing, everything is goin according to plan for them. but i cant blame them for my failures , theres enough math  involve for me to make an educated choice.  just gotta give them an applause and say well played.
Pretty much.  I'm basically of the same opinion at this point...minus the applause part Smiley
1462  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling my exchange domain bitske.com on: June 29, 2014, 05:50:15 PM
Are you aware that your site isn't currently working?  Brings up the index page just fine but as soon as I select either Buy or Sell from your one and only drop-down and click [Go] it results in a 404 Not Found error.

Don't think you'll get a whole lotta offers with it in it's present state.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: DigitalCoinFarm - Get shares to build your own cloud scrypt asic miner today on: June 29, 2014, 05:45:06 PM
Were there actually plans of selling off the hardware at some point? I don't remember that part.

ASIC hardware is made to be sold to noobs when it's not more profitable.

I'm waiting for the admin to reply to my mail.

I'm not worrying too much. We can either switch to more GPU mining or buy new hardware.

Well, that makes one of us anyway :p

OP fella hasn't even been logged into his account since April 9th :/

Also, I sent an e-mail to them about a week and a half ago regarding future direction and to ask an opinion on GPU settings but no response

So... who knows something we don't? Lots of buying just now...
One person comes to mind immediately...the fella running this project.

And more than likely all the big private investors that don't even frequent the forum.

lost most of the btc i invested in cryptx but held onto a few shares just in case.
1465  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: June 29, 2014, 03:37:51 AM
It actually might not be a bad buy.  It's getting close to the calculations we made

0.02 is a good price for 15Gh (25% avg diff), it can make a break even before September and profit after that.

Until the "loan" is paid back it's more like an effective 7.5GH
1466  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 3 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: June 28, 2014, 11:41:13 PM
there was no mention of a buy out. Either this or let's wait for another buying opportunity.
This was the deal.

At current prices, 30btc gives you ~10% of this project.
Good time to buy cheap, but it will be impossible to sell shares if the value doesn't go back up.
40% loss? when? how?
why???
3 reasons as to how in my opinion:

1.) Ridiculously high hosting/admin fee's
2.) The fact that cryptx doesn't have ability to make their own chips and boards
3.) Ridiculously inadequate communication with shareholders
1467  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: June 28, 2014, 11:36:10 PM
I've got a question. When ScryptX was announced, wasn't part of the excitement the statement that hosting costs for PETA were going to be reduced by 44% or something like that since they would be sharing the hosting burden? Did that ever actually happen, because I see only a couple BTCs being taken per week for ScyptX hosting and the Peta hosting fees hasn't really changed all that much.  My memory/understanding of the situation could serve me wrong or maybe there was a big drop in hosting costs for PETA, but I figured I would ask.
It was a 50% reduction.  Initially cryptx was charging a whopping 0.50/kw/h if you can freaking believe that!!  Now the 0.50/kw/h is essentially split across the two assets.  This way your only getting screwed half as hard essentially...unless you also decide to invest in the scrypt fund that is :p
1468  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 3 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX on: June 28, 2014, 05:28:00 PM
The deal looks good, any reason for not taking it?

Even if we take it, we're still not keeping up with difficulty...

So, there's no more profit in mining anymore?
Of course there is, just not for anybody but cryptx himself.  If you really want to see where this asset is heading one has to look no further than his sha256 project and it's only getting uglier by the moment.  Should I buy in now you may be asking?  Just know this, unless cryptx fundamentally changes something about these two projects (cough cough hosting fee's, in house board/chip development) the scrypt version of his asset will do exactly the same thing over time :/

*Yes, looking for my exit position on both asset's.
1469  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: June 28, 2014, 05:20:30 PM
It actually might not be a bad buy.  It's getting close to the calculations we made

Calculations that assumed 7%/week growth and 100% reinvestment ROI, neither of which seem very likely. There is a price at which this is worth buying, but it aint very high.

My calculations above didn't include any reinvestment.  I'm thinking it would have been better if cryptx were actually shareholders so they actually cared about the price. Just like Facebook and others are majority holders and really so care a lot about the price.  With the current situation they don't care even if it goes to 0 because they still get their hosting fee.

But they have now burnt bridges with all their shareholders. Who is gonna invest with them in the future?  I emailed them about reducing hosting fee and no response

Boy howdy, certainly burned this bridge that's for sure!  abdullahadam raises a great point though regarding cryptx not even holding any shares not being much incentive for him to see this project succeed.  Next week's hosting fee's should be roughly inline with what is being paid out for "loan" pay back and dividends, by the following week we should be paying more for hosting fee's than we are receiving in dividends.  Game set and match goes to cryptx and cryptx alone on this one :/
1470  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto stocks listing, CPW on: June 28, 2014, 04:16:28 AM
I wonder if RiverBoatBTC would be interested in taking this case on for possible recovery?
1471  Economy / Securities / Re: [AUTOTRADE]BTC hedge fund by BtcAutoTrader(The first automated BTC hedge fund) on: June 28, 2014, 04:09:10 AM
bentleysui was last active yesterday and I have to assume he's been reading this thread.  Not looking good at all.  Don't know whose still buying these shares but whoever you are you are more than likely throwing away satoshi's it appears at this point.
1472  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: June 28, 2014, 03:40:51 AM
Recent difficulty spike is related to KNC miner.
They are shipping their Neptunes now.

I choose not to panic.

In the case of the Bitcoin network exponential growth won't last forever.
This project will continue to be around. Let's see where we are in 24 months.

True enough...but with shares at current price, 50% to pay off loan, and huge hosting/admin fee's it only needs to go on for 3 maybe 4 months max sadly.  That's the problem.
1473  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (15GH/S per Unit) on: June 27, 2014, 11:34:01 PM
This ship is sinking fast!

10:1 tell's me I'm not going to love the cryptx post much despite the moving to p2pool (which I think ultimately is a good thing).
1474  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why Double your BTC when you can 100x it! (Read how) on: June 27, 2014, 11:09:52 PM
Think the OP needs to be changed to

'Why Double your Fee-yuck with your BTC when you can 100X it!!'  (Read how)

Buying and holding doesn't double anything insofar as BTC is concerned.
1475  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DodZombie is pretending to be me, DobZombie (doD & doB) on: June 27, 2014, 11:02:57 PM
Dude...screw this guy!!  Twat waffles like this really piss me the fuck off!  Hope nobody actually sent this piss-ant a single satoshi.  Hope your fund-raiser is working out DobZombie.

Negative feedback posted on DodZombie suggest others do the same.
1476  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinpal.net, Winterparker, AKA Ryan Tyson Gay of winter park FL on: June 27, 2014, 10:55:36 PM
No shit?  So are you still planning on carrying through with some sort of financial fraud filing against him as well?  JIC I went ahead and entered my info on your sig. link deal.

Or switching to p2pool Wink

This would be my guess.

Sheesh...can't even dump my shares at this price...guess I'm not the only one waking up to the grim reality.  Looks like your words are being heard mister Puppet.

Just me or is Havelock buggin...?
Working here...for now.

Edit: not working anymore :/

He could certainly at least throw a bone by lowering hosting fee's (yes I'll keep harping this point) but that's about as likely as Santa delivering 25% more hashing power out of thin air.  This really bums me out I have to say.
