2361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start: Daytrading? on: October 30, 2019, 01:05:36 PM
At first how can you start with day trading especially when you really start and are new in it? You will miss a lot of good chance I guess.
So I would say: Avoid day trading at first when this thing is new for you (suggest to avoid in future too).
N1 thing that I would suggest to you is: It's not needed to catch every moment, you have to catch good and best ones, this way you'll achieve success in trading.
Of course tools are recommended cause they help you in analyzes and different things, if they are beneficial for you, why not to use them? But don't forget to read every bitcoin and crypto related news, they often affect prices.
2362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A million altcoins on: October 30, 2019, 10:56:06 AM
I seriously doubt there is a decent altcoin. Any reason that someone will provide in order to follow and buy into a project, is looking like advertisement that has no foundation.
I can't find anything solid that makes me want to follow an altcoin. Between 30,000 cryptocurrencies I don't see something that will surprise and evolve into a major player.

Bitcoin is 10 years old and there is actually nothing better happened all this time. Everything else looks like a cash-grab, full of fake news and hopes, full of invalid information about the tech, about decentralization and safety. Almost every blockchain has already been 50% attacked, Ethereum rolled-back it's own chain, Litecoin has no reason to exist, Monero perhaps had a reason but still so many problems with privacy, XRP, Stellar i can't find the reason people are still buying them. Some shitcoins had a chance to become something with all that influx of money in 2017, but devs thought it was better to re-invest all that money into private mansions and lambos instead of research and development. How do you think tech giants became the empires they are today? They allocated all profits into creating something better every year. Microsoft for example didn't pay a single dollar in dividents for the first 15 or 20 years of it's existence. All the profits were allocated in RnD. Which altcoin did the same? They all rushed to offload their billion coins and dump them on investors faces while talking about moon and taking over the economy. Such nonsense.
To conclude, I see every altcoin as overpriced by at least 10x right now and shorting all of them where it is possible into any pair available, BTC or USD.
I see all altcoins dumping 90% more at least and perhaps then we will find out who was milking them for profits in 2019 and who was actually working and has a decent product with a future.
I 100% agree with you, there hasn't been much of an imporvement after creating bitcoin. 99% of altcoins are useless too and creating for profit purposes. Btw does Monero has problems with privacy? Cause I know and have heard from a lot of people, also bitmixer owner stated that Monero is the best cryptocurrency for privacy protection.
The sad fact is that developers really don't care about improvement, ethereum's algorithm wasn't asic resistant and they weren't working on improving it too. Create something and leave it on it's own isn't right, everything needs development.
But still that tech compare is a little bit odd to my mind cause that's science and research plays a huge role while in cryptocurrencies ideas are main ones too.
2363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could invest in a project with it's own hardware device, WOULD YOU? on: October 29, 2019, 08:36:32 PM
That's a good question OP and to be fair personally I think these wallet, especially most known two ones: Ledger and Trezor will do something similar of what you said. Maybe their plan is to make their wallet hardwares popular and then create coin and offer you cashback which will be on your wallet and you'll be able to use it after buying and starting using of your ledger/trezor wallet. Maybe something similar of this will happen and we will really see the real scenario and not only opinions stated there.
But also on another hand that situation looks like Intel/IBM/Nvidia/HP and similar brands running their own OS after making their products popular and working on windows/linux for a while.
2364  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: October 29, 2019, 08:10:30 PM
What if all those big corporates and businesses starts using crypto as a mode of payment just to avoid tax which will cause a direct loss to the government which uses tax for the betterment of the country. This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?
What if governments don't let them to start even using cryptocurrencies? Facebook decided to add Libra but it caused some conflict between facebook and US government.
On another hand who says it's possible to avoid paying tax by just adding bitcoin or cryptocurrencies? Don't you know that they can pretty easily tax you? Bitcoins are valued by usd, so you'll have to pay some percent of btc/usd. So from the very beginning, it's impossible to discuss about such thing because that will never happen. On another hand bitcoin payment in corrupt countries sounds very funny cause more likely they enjoy cash.
2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He's thankful he found "Bitcoin" on: October 29, 2019, 07:40:06 PM
in the end it is the user's responsibility to do extensive research about the thing they are buying. for example when you are buying a phone you just don't go to a flee market

LOL! I remember I've seen somebody having a (Chinese) "IPhone" running on Android.

It's YOUR responsibility to give them the truth, and put them on the correct path.

https://twitter.com/andrespollan/status/1185455536084541441

I advised him learn about Dogecoin. He surely can reach high numbers faster than with BSV and at least it's a reputable altcoin.
I hope he understands sarcasm.
Haha, that's really very funny when some people pay some bucks and buy Chinese iphone which god knows what is in reality (not ios, not android, smartphone without software/hardware I guess but still smartphone).
Am I the only one who didn't understand the joke? He mentions BTC and BSV, so I think he can make difference between them. Is it sarcasm?
Btw why such scenario didn't come to Roger Ver's mind? He could start like that at first, we all know he is full of shady behaviors but still he has great fantasy cause he recorded video about deleted thread in bitcointalk which was mistakenly posted in Russian board.
2366  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: October 28, 2019, 09:13:03 PM
We have come across so many national currency becoming worthless and recently we have heard the news of barter system in Zimbabwe due to the fall in the value of national currency but what really makes the Fiat worthless? Is it corruption or war or national economical crisis? Or the National GDP which makes it fall?
Current banking system, governments' politics and nonstop money printing makes fiat worthless. We can also add another reason to these: When money gets devalued, prices on products increases while wages stay the same or even worse, decreased. And even if situation gets positive and money gets a little bit valued, prices are still left high. High once - high forever, something like this.
To my mind we need something with fixed value which can't be faked like cryptocurrencies for example in order to prevent massive inflation. They make debts that we have to pay. Taxes are already enough, we don't have to pay another additional fees, money printed and used by government and that loan payed by us, that's shame.
2367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie Trading Question? on: October 28, 2019, 08:39:29 PM
OP at first you have to remember that during trade, you profit because someone loses and also trading depends on luck at some point.
Man it's very hard to catch all the good moments in trading but as I see you catch some one, that's still great result. It's better to catch some good ones rather than catch all of them or mix of good and bad ones.
I'm 100% like you and still can't risk sometimes, it's so hard to make decision and for that reason I missed great opportunities of gaining money. Idk what to do too, still prefer to stick with long term holding or sell when I'm really 100% confident.
2368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling risk is higher when we are on Bear Market? on: October 28, 2019, 07:39:41 PM
What's your thought about this?

I have a scenario for this topic:

John bought Bitcoins when at the price of $18,000 and decided it to HODL.
But after he bought some Bitcoin, the price is starting to decrease, from $18,000 to $10,000 and to $4,000.
So,he already lost his money for almost 50% and he decided to gamble his Bitcoins;

Here's the thing, if you are John and start to gamble, would you bet with high risk (betting with huge amount, betting in low chance of winning, etc)?

Since if it was me, I already lost a lot when I even bought those Bitcoins at $18,000 so the best thing I can do is to gamble it and earn more bitcoins to decrease my loss or breakeven it.

What can you say about this? Or maybe you already experienced this.
At irst if John bought bitcoins to HODL as you say, it means he didn't bought those coins for keeping it for 1-2 months, he sees long term investment option in bitcoin. So with that spirit, I highly doubt John would turn away from his way and gamble with coins which was meant to be held (HEDL? Cheesy).
If he lost 50% of his capital and decided to gamble, I think he has to realize that he even increases his chances of losing whole capital if he gambles. With that logic, he could gamble when he bought bitcoins at 18K and play with them to increase whole first time capital and hold that increased capital for future gains.
Sorry but I disagree you.
2369  Other / Meta / Re: Add "Manager" link to signatures on: October 24, 2019, 10:04:20 PM
Great idea, it will really significantly reduce the numbet of bad posts and also people won't say everytime "ban signatures" and something similar. Along with merit, this will be a great combination and double win.
But it will take some work from theymos, idk how he will act but another great idea will be: When you click on report moderator, let this message to be sent to campaign manager. This way there won't be need of clicking on report to moderator and manager seperately. I think it won't be hard. Take one sig code - set managet's link on that. Idk whether it's easy to do something with forum's cms but hope it's possible and not hard.
2370  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Jackbit.io - 🎡 Unique PVP Gambling 🎁 Every 10 min free coins 🎉 25.10.2019 on: October 24, 2019, 09:28:44 PM
This is the first time I visited website and window pop ups where it says website will go online in one day. I see thread was created in 14 september, so was website closed until that or is it just a maintenance?
On another hand they are nice games, I especially liked PVP game, I enjoy such ones but have one question. How much percent do you take from each session?
You know casinos can see server seed and etc and gain profit in dice in case there are investors by playing and losing a lot of money on casino's side, is such thing prevented in PVP game?
Also will be interested if it's possible in future to test luck of that game via mydicebot.
2371  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Minecraft UHC (battle royale) game for bitcoin | NEED HOSTING PAY IN BTC on: October 24, 2019, 08:56:10 PM
To be fair I don't know minecraft well, nor I play this game cause that's not what I enjoy and also don't have time for that but have imaginary about it and for this reason I really liked your idea.
Btw how popular is this game among adults? Among children it's very popular but you need adult audience or at least 14 and higher.
On another hand how much percent from 100% of players use bitcoin?
For cheap hosting, I think russian hosting providers will be best for you but you have to make payments via webmoney and yandex money in most cases. Sometimes depends on hosting, you may negotiate with it.
2372  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: October 24, 2019, 08:39:13 PM
Btw it's really hard to state what can be considered as benefit for people regarding to KYC. Well, you may see some bitcoin services offer standard plans and great opportunities if you are verified, if you say in this situation KYC is benefitial, idk, cause those benefits could be added without requesting KYC documents.
I don't see any benefit in adding KYC, even worse, there is possibility of stealing our data and that happened for a lot of times.
2373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 24, 2019, 08:03:25 PM
Problems aren't those three things that op mentioned in thread, another great problem among them is wish of free money.
There is nothing wrong with that wish alone, everyone wants easy money, some people are very smart and achieve this wish by different work. At first all of these require hard work but problem in this case is that these people are uneducated people. When they are uneducated, they can't think much about why scam projects offer easy money and they fall in love with nice words.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 24, 2019, 07:25:44 PM
Have you ever thought of donating the gambling profits to a charitable cause ?  Sometime people won a big lottery or very high amount of money from betting & gambling games.  Do you ever thought of being generous and helping the poor with this money ?
That's a whole different situation and also one in million wins jackpot or insanely high amount of money from casino. This way I think you really have to donate too cause you were also donated at some point, usually those winners are average people and they really donate some money from it but on another ha.d gambling profits are very low and even those profits are mostly returned to casino back because of gambling again in future. Also if you really want to donate, do it directly without any promises set to yourself.
2375  Economy / Services / Re: Need casino and poker expert - hiring with monthly payment! on: October 24, 2019, 06:26:47 PM
At first please can you state what do you mean in casino expert? In poker expert as far as I understood you are looking for professional poker players to create some club/team for casino? Cause I have seen such things but idk benefits and etc of this, I don't even know if I wrote that idea about poker correctly.
And for those who are interested in Casino Expert position, please state what they will have to do in overall.
2376  Economy / Speculation / Re: what do you think is the best rate price for btc? on: October 24, 2019, 05:48:48 PM
If we've been asked which is better $5 vs $6, of course, we all probably choose $6.
But asking what is the best price rate for Bitcoin, it surely people will think higher than of $5 or $6. Thinking how volatile the market is, we can't determine which one better as it never stays like that forever. If I say that $10k is my preferred price, do others will agree to that? Of course, they won't because they have their own preferred price also.
I think we are asked what you meant and some people got it wrong.
To be fair it's really hard to state your opinion around this subject. I would even say that current price is far higher for bitcoin but at the same time it's more than amazing thing for me to see bitcoin higher than 20K and even more. Btw that's why it's somehow amazing to see how bitcoin's price is calculated, we all create price together, it's somehow similar of democracy.
2377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL CRYPTO BOOM AGAIN? on: October 24, 2019, 04:40:00 PM
Sure it's impossible to say but still... after yesterday hearing i really don't know what to think. Used to be sure Libra entry will boom the market once again but it looks like Libra's not coming shortly.
Is btc halving the most promising ''event'' we are looking forward to (at the moment)?
What did you hear yesterday about bitcoin or related to this that changed your thoughts so much?
Btw yes, bitcoin halving is really promosing "event" to push bitcoin's price to rise and skyrocket and I'll explain why. Well, people couldn't imagine if bitcoin's price reach to 1000$ line again. But whuola, there was halving that summer and from 600$, bitcoin reached to 1000$, then 2000 soon, then it had some falls but still bitcoin didn't stop and it reached to 20K price, in two days it had 4000$ rise too.
So for these reasons, I believe that upcoming halving will be a gamechanger in bitcoin's further price and it will skyrocket again.
2378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: October 24, 2019, 04:10:06 PM
Hi, Gents,

I think there has to be a way to create a tracking system for bitcoin. Every wallet must contain ids. Otherwise, bitcoin can be always used for money laundering. If you want to launder money, you can find a cash seller everywhere. After bitcoin is bought, noone can prove whose bitcoin it is. I think this is the only think that preventing bitcoin to become a global currency. Do you think it would worth this much if it is trackable. I dont think so. There will be altcoins that work with tracking system and ids. They will become a global currency. Bitcoin? I think never. What do you think?
Omg, you are so wrong. At first please can you explain to me what does global currency means for you? Do you want to see bitcoin the only currency in this world used by all of nations? I highly doubt that will happen without whole globalisation, otherwise you can use bitcoin from any place of this world to any place to send money.
Also bitcoin isn't that much safe for money laundering too, if you see a lot of people are caught recently for bitcoin money laundering and scam projects.
Also for global purposes, I think yes, altcoin will be better option, new altcoin with suited possibilities for this.
2379  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin freelancing is dead? on: October 24, 2019, 03:11:41 PM
I'm a person who would like to do some work for Bitcoin, so I monitor freelancing sites occasionally, and at this time I feel like the freelance market in Bitcoin is nearly dead. The Services board is 99% listings of services rather than people who are looking to buy some; XBTfreelancer is empty or has 1-2 projects most of the time; cryptogrind has mostly just ridiculously underpaid projects or again service announcements (shouldn't they be banned there?), and there's also not much available projects overall; workingforbitcoins has very little traffic, just a few projects per month.

It was theorized that Bitcoin will help alleviate poverty by allowing people to work online without any restrictions, but on practice this just isn't happening. In your opinion, what is the reason for this?
Yes, btc freelancing seems dead. XBTfreelancer put some money in it's project to develop it and make popular but seems their plan failed, there is just not much demand on it and to be fair bitcoin freelancer websites are directly going to be opponent of firverr which is very difficult and also their SEO job seems very hard. Still you have to stick with fiverr and if you want bitcoins, convert it.

Also to answer your last proposal, bitcoin can't alleviate poverty and it's not hard to find work online, bitcoin has to do nothing with it. Bitcoin is just a payment method and currency at the same time which is very different, easy and accessible for most people. Does paypal give you restrictions? Or most part of other payment methods? I guess no.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: October 24, 2019, 02:44:40 PM
It often happens that people go out to play a variety of games of chance with a certain amount of money, but in the end they spend everything if they are gone. How to prevent which technique you base yourself on to spend no further. It's hard to just give up, people persistent in gambling that day, so they can't just tell themselves they'll try tomorrow. Why is this difficult? Is it because of greed?
Depends on game to be fair. For example if you love playing live blackjack (which a lot of people enjoy cause it's an exciting experience), then you will find it difficult to stop without spending much because a lot of tables require high minimum bet (the lowest I have seen on most casinos is 5$ but there are maybe some dedicated tables with min 2$ bet).
In dice for example, you can bet some satoshi which games game very affordable to play for anyone + you have possibility to use faucet and play for free for a while, for example Bitsler offers bitsler coins and while playing for free you have ability to win in daily bitsler coin wagering contests.
