1441  Other / New forum software / Bitcointalk Beta on: November 02, 2020, 06:08:59 PM
I think it won't be a bad idea if someone creates a website with epochtalk and implement scrap the data that's given on bitcointalk. I.E. Bitcointalk with current posts, etc but on epochtalk (with epochtalk design) but with disabled login function. I think it won't be a bad idea cause as it seems we don't have access to beta.bitcointalk.org and won't even have in a near future (was there anything said about that by theymos?). At some point, some people may visit new beta and it will help us to get used to epochtalk version of bitcointalk
1442  Economy / Services / Re: Tower.bet Signature and avatar campaign(FULL) on: October 29, 2020, 10:22:10 PM
Whole ton of users leaving  Cry
That's because as it seems, bitcoin's price is rising and those users found that at the moment there are open spots in another campaign and can collect almost 2x coins.

I have nothing against someone or against any campaign but the problem is that when you are hired and manager included you in his advertisement strategy, it's not right when you just leave for some more bucks. It also doesn't mean that you have to follow a manager for months but when you jump from campaign to campaign because of a higher offer on weekly basis, that's not really good.

Are you dumb?

It was stated that the campaign will end in 1 week check the quoted message.

So expect many users will secure there slot to the other camp.

If the campaign is for long term for sure no one leaves.

And this is not new here so expect that to happen and don't take it as seriously.

Your statement represent that you are not good campaign manager if you are looking to be work with that in future.

Last Im sure you post this message just to get the attention of manager so that on the next camp you will get a higher chances of acceptance. This is busted tactics and don't lick butts just for a future slot, LOL!
First of all, be polite! On 23 October he stated that campaign would end in one week but participants left it the second day (on 24 October).

I know that this kind of behaviour isn't new there and I don't blame anyone for that, I just stated my opinion around this.

P.S. I am not campaign manager, hope it was a TYPO from your side.

P.P.S. No, it wasn't just to get the attention of the manager. At first, I hate such behaviours and then, if you think that it was done to gain attention, then I believe manager would at least think the same and you know what? It leaves a negative effect on the manager about me. And again, better to check your lexis when you talk with a stranger. It's a basic thing that you should have learnt in your childhood.
1443  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Tower.bet 🎲🔥 New Platform arrived 🎲Crash 🎲 HiLo 🎲 Wheel 🎲Contests 🎲 on: October 29, 2020, 06:00:27 PM
~snip
You will be needing 23,475,000 XP to be able to reach level 40, that's more than 10BTC in equivalence to be wagered.
I know it's not hard for big gamblers, but it's really hard for those small wants.
I'm not against it, but I think the level required to be able to activate the ghost mode should be lowered, I guess level 10-20 will do.

There are six status and up to 59 levels on website:

|
Status
|
Levels
|
Wagering Requirements
|
|Newborn|0-9|0.04 USD|
|Rookie|10-19|1.66 USD|
|Amateur|20-29|8.41 USD|
|Advanced|30-39|114.20 USD|
|Pro|40-49|1,921.00 USD|
|Master|50-59|48,378.00 USD|

So, in order to achieve 40 level, you need to wager 114.20 USD (39th level) + 33.00 USD = 147.20 USD (40th level). I think it's very low requirement for wagering. People wager 10x more on one bet and it's really nothing and very easy to achieve. Also, it's boring when everything is easily accessible, the whole charm is in process, not in result.

Huh? why both of you have different answer? Which one is correct?

tbh, wagering "only" 147.2 USD sounds too low for me. All people would be easily reached lv 40 if that's true.
Apologies, it was my mistake. I didn't read that there was Level Rewards given, instead I thought it was USD equivalent of Bitcoins that was needed for wagering but after all it was nice table.

tower.bet
numanoid gave you a good suggestion, it will be wise to make PM available on certain level cause a lot of users may ask for tips and that's very boring and uncomfortable from a player's perspective. Also, otherwise, it will be good if users have an option to enable/disable PM receive option or set min restriction on senders levels. Such service is free on most online crypto casinos, so, I think lowering of required level (40) would be better.
1444  Economy / Marketplace / Re: shipping cash to escrow? on: October 29, 2020, 05:08:07 PM
If I want to buy some physical items here on the marketplace, are there trusted members who can act as escrow? If so, can I mail them cash, like actual dollar bills, which they would hold on to until they have the physical items, then escrow forwards the physical items to me and ships the cash to the seller?
As what mentioned above, escrows here are willing to help for any kind of transactions but if you're offering a cash payment, it would be hard since mailing cash is prohibited in most mails even it bypass in country's origin there's still chance that it would be noticed on the receiver's (escrow) country.

Besides this is bitcoin related forum, at least make it one of the option for payment when transacting here.

have you heard about  Money Order? this is the way of sending Cash to another person through mail. and it's legal and 100% safe. you can even send money through money order to other countries.  and you can use Westren Union.
The problem is not sending of the money. the problem is that escrow. I think there is no such Escrow providers who hold a Fiat Cash Escrow.  OP has to find another solution or look somewhere else for his desired person.
Not only money order but there are other internal money transfer services offered by different companies, I mean services similar of Moneygram. I hugely doubt anyone will accept cash via mail from random user. Also, if he and recipient live in USA, then Money Order is okey but if they are from different countries, this can turn into a serious problem. There are countries where it's illegal to send money via post, it will be confiscated and you'll get some problems.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend any escrow to take part in such cases (nothing against OP). There can be problems from recipient like money is fake and then sender may say I sent real money and he sent you fake one, etc.
1445  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does auto trading bot make good profit ? on: October 29, 2020, 04:42:40 PM
First of all, bots can't read and analyze news that's written on news websites. Every news, including political and others, may have a huge impact on the price of the currency you trade with. Bots can analyze charts and other mathematical things without mistakes but that's not only the trading. Also, after all, you need some luck. Trading and luck stand together.
And then, there is another alternative which I would call again auto trading without bot. You can register on eToro and pick the trader you wish and follow them. I didn't have experience with it and personally I don't like if I follow someone's decisions but I think it will be better than just turning on bots.
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: October 29, 2020, 04:07:01 PM
No, how digitalisation of currency can make the country more powerful? What makes the country powerful and independent is the strength of economics. The USA has great power in this case because USD is considered as a major, global currency and is the most accepted one. The same doesn't apply to China and digitalisation can't make this process to happen, it has nothing to do with it. Also, digitalisation can't lessen import and increase export (that also makes a country powerful).
In any way, there is a bad situation around china right now. Major countries want to move factories from China to another small countries that have less impact on anything and don't have any power in overall + have cheap workers.
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 29, 2020, 12:42:42 PM
There were some scam accusation threads against some casinos where the problem was that users didn't read their TOS and then were complaining around certain things but at the same time it happened like TOS of these casinos were shit and illogical (once accident was back in 2017 but can't remember the name of the casino).
I wasn't reading TOS and once I started to read, analyzed that there were some things that I wasn't accepting but at the same time it's a problem when you crave to use certain service and you don't care about TOS, just click on next to register.
But it's necessary, very necessary to get rid of unwanted problems.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless gaming now available in land-based casino in USA on: October 29, 2020, 11:54:38 AM
So, in digital wallets, it's meant there that users will be able to pay with Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Samsung Pay, PayPal and with similar services? I don't know much about real life casinos but if it wasn't implemented before, then sounds pretty a good idea. But if there is a hope of direct bitcoin transactions behind it, then I hugely doubt that will ever happen because at some point casinos have a bad reputation when it comes to money laundering related tasks and so does bitcoin, so the combination of these two will raise false alarm among people, probably...
On another hand, this news is very good. More digitalization is expected, covid just hugely boosted this process.
1449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge? on: October 29, 2020, 11:13:38 AM
If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge?
is it going to get worse and worse the more the price up? or it fixed itself
Fees are still high and if it reaches 20K and even more, without doubt it will skyrocket again. I thought we would be more prepared for this time but from the current situation, it seems there will be new 2017 in terms of fees. But the great thing here is that we have a lighting network and more people know about it, so fees shouldn't be a huge problem there. A lot of people will move on lighting network and it will be implemented by a lot of service providers, otherwise, it will be hard to use bitcoin. I want to keep most of my bitcoins on certain wallet and when I need for example some bucks, I don't want to pay tens of dollars in fees. There are many like me.
1450  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: October 29, 2020, 10:31:33 AM
Exactly, a lot of companies put all of their resources into developing digital platforms for their clients that includes: Buy GYM subscription online, order food without cash directly from fast food without 3rd party delivery services, shop clothes, technics and other things online... Some companies were just centred on branches in stores and other places. During the pandemic, a lot of branches were closed because they were unable to pay for rent. Moving online requires some money at first but then becomes cheaper to keep operating. I hugely doubt companies will move from digital platforms to real life when the pandemic will end. So, digital is a new permanent place.
1451  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying a domain with name cheap using bitcoin on: October 29, 2020, 09:22:17 AM
Never I sent any document for a KYC compliance. However, I advise you to give real information otherwise a registrar can cancel your domain (you never know if, for example, someone reports you or something else). And if you don't reply to their email asking questions they will directly suspend or cancel your domain.

If the problem is the public WHOIS details, Namecheap offers privacy protection service (WhoisGuard) for free, except for .uk, .ca, and probably .london
Sorry for late reply... For 10 years, I have never used my real information on namecheap regarding to domains/hosting and I had a lot of domains + higher plans of hosting. I think this is the least thing you have to worry about but problems may arise if you are using templates from envato and similar marketplaces. One of my domain was locked because of one theme which I had officially bought, so I suggest everyone to keep in mind such cases.

False information + whois guard is a good thing. They don't ask for KYC documents, so no way to know who you are. Just don't enter Bla Blabla as your full name and I think everything will be okay.
1452  Economy / Economics / Re: new central banks currenicies vs fiat currency? on: October 28, 2020, 11:03:51 PM

the goverments have plan to create their own cryptocurrenicies, so the btc and eth was just testing currencies to see how it works and get people to use with cryptocurrenies?
first whats wrong with fiat currency? the cash is works good nothing wrong with this.
second how they are going to control how much to issue the currency and how the value will be backed?
and by who the transparanscy is guranteed?

This is the question that we will never know. We don't know who created bitcoin but we know why he/she/them created it but at the same time we don't exactly know if that's the real reason or the reason that author wants us to believe. It's possible that governments are behind it but at the same time I doubt that because it was proven years ago how hard it was for governments to track bitcoin transactions (maybe it was done to blind us on a long term?).
There is nothing wrong with fiat currencies, I don't want full digitalization because in that case governments will have full control on numbers (money) and will be able to manipulate them the way they wish, they even manipulate current fiats.

Btw who says that governments plan to create their own cryptocurrencies? Any currency made by them will be far from cryptographic.
1453  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New to signature campaigns, questions. on: October 28, 2020, 10:02:37 PM
Yes that is true you are only good as your last ten posts, there is no job security here keep learning keep contributing, make yourself a valuable member of this forum, forgot the payment concentrate on what you are posting and it will take you to another campaign, the competition is very stiff and everyday another lower ranked members are ranking and it will compete on available position.
It's very easy to put some effort in your last posts but what does it mean that you put effort but it's easy at the same time? The fact is that you can make the first page of your posts look like you are a genuine poster but then move on second, third and other pages and see how spammy you are. So, the judgement of recent post isn't a good indicator. And about competition, it exists for those who post just for money and nothing more. When you have a passion to post, when you get a pleasure from it and in overall when you are passionate about it and it's not something that's done for just the sake of something, then competition doesn't exist for you cause you are the best. Examples? gmaxwell, achow101...
1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 28, 2020, 08:59:10 PM
As we know as a crypto Community most of people's think that a Bitcoin (any crypto currency) is illegal and scam.
i don't think this is true. most people don't even know about bitcoin and those who do mostly are afraid of it because of the volatile price. the days of people thinking it is a "scam" are long gone.
Oh no, those days aren't gone. I know a person who graduated in Business Administration in Harward in 2016, has an enormous experience in the financial field but believe it or not, she thinks that bitcoin is a scam and pyramid scheme. People dream to study in Harward and idk if these are the conclusions that they make after getting so high-quality education. And to be fair, there are a lot of people who think that bitcoin is scam. Also, at the same time most of them have no idea what the hell are altcoins and people even don't know that there exists bitcoin forks like bitcoin cash and others.

The fact that PayPal implemented cryptocurrencies will make people believe that bitcoin is not an evil thing, that's the pros of it, otherwise I don't see much pros because of personal reasons and opinions around this task.
1455  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns and some discussion about seo on: October 28, 2020, 08:35:24 PM
I heard that if a website can get a "do-follow" link, that will help the website to have a solid backlink. If there are many do-follow backlinks from the other website, it will give a good ranking at the search engine for a specific keyword. The website needs to have a keyword to compete with the other website, and if that website can gain more do-follow links, it would affect the rank on the search engine. If you stop the campaign, even if your link is still at the forum, your position in the search engine may be replaced by other websites because they still use the campaign to have more backlinks from the do-follow backlinks from the other websites or forum. But I don't know much about SEO.
You have to keep a balance between do follow and no follow backlinks, otherwise google will negatively think about it. Some people think that 50/50 is good while others think 30/70 is the most optimal (nofolow/dofollow).
Dofollow backlinks, to say shortly means that you give away your strengths to a website that you link. When search engine bots craw pages, dofollow backlinks give them a signal that makes them understand which website links which one. If you get dofollow backlink from bitcointalk's main page, once the bot checks it, it will hugely increase the rank of your website and it will appear far trustful for search engines than it was before because it got dofollow backlink from a very reputable website.
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the golden opportunity, now what?? on: October 27, 2020, 09:21:18 PM
I am in marketing field for a long time but I gave a little attention to BTC. Now I am  studying about bitcoin. What I got is that a concept which rises from ashes to heavens. But the main aspect which make me to think twice before entering the btc is its high volatility and also I fell prey to the negative views. And when I further watched btc then I got amazed that btc is getting more adaptable day by day. Then I suddenly realised that if anybody would have purchased btc in bulk in the start (In pennies)  and let assume he forgets but now he suddenly  acquainted with his btc then OMG he would have "massive money", cannot imagine.
Lol it's just a thinking but the morale is that I have missed the biggest opportunity and I accept that it's a blunder for not participating positively in btc.
I am into marketing too but it hasn't hindered for me the opportunity to know about bitcoin, opposite, it pushed me to understand more things around it even more. When you are a marketer and into marketing, you have to be very creative and innovative, you have to carefully understand all the trends that are rising and benefit yourself. But nevermind, it's never too late.

Almost everyone missed that opportunity, if you feel unlucky remember that there is a man on this forum who paid 10 000 bitcoin in one pizza, right now - 136 million USD. He could even buy a whole famous pizza company with that money, not only pizza. But fact is fact, that happened and to blame yourself in this case isn't correct. At first, you can't change the past and then - no one in this world knew that that would happened and how you acted was 100% normal and logical, so, no worries. We often miss golden times but it happens like there are best times too.
1457  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: October 27, 2020, 08:48:42 PM
Ronaldo vs Messi on Wednesday, the two GOAT’s go head to head with Juve vs Barca. Who you got, I wonder what odds you get on them both to score  Tongue

Two teams that messed up Steve’s last two Multi Magics playing against each other? We’ll see how that goes.

In the Barca vs Ferencvaros match, Barca got a red card but still managed to keep their offensive intact and they scored 4 regular goals and one penalty. Juve also won their last match with a similar score, 3-1 but did not get any red card.

Barca’s offensive looks very fearful now, it leads me to think that Barca will win this upcoming match but not by a landslide. I don’t think Rolando will test negative in time to play this match.
The sad fact is that Ronaldo got tested and it's negative again, goal confirmed that he will not play against Barcelona tomorrow. Despite the fact that I am Barca's fan, I still don't have huge hopes on this club. This club has been destroyed, abandoned and Koeman isn't magician to fix the problems in one day. Also, idk how Juventus performs but hope it will be an interesting match, at least we will see the legends - Lionel Messi and hope he will do and put his best in this match, also hope Griezzman won't walk like a dead man.

(Hypothetical question, if Bayern were to play Barca right now, would Barca be able to win or draw?)
Without a doubt, Bayern would win again. Barca is almost the same barca for Bayern right now, there wasn't very significant improvement in this club, it will take at least 2-3 months to really see how club performs, whether developing or even going down.
1458  Other / Archival / Re: European institutional investors are interested in cryptocurrencies on: October 27, 2020, 07:58:15 PM
Pandemic clearly shows that demand on Information Technologies and in overall on digital services will rise and it also showed that in reality these are the most demandable sectors but were a little bit under shadow. Demand and moving on digital services clearly indicates that there is one important thing that we need in digital world and it's digital currency. Cryptocurrencies are the best option in this case. Wise investors would be interested in cryptocurrencies and seem it's happening.

Btw in survey it's interesting to know whether some answers belong to Bcash or not and I am a little bit amazed why they didn't ask for Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash instead of only one choice.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery is a poor man's tax on: October 27, 2020, 07:02:26 PM
Lottery is the most notorious of all the gambling institution. The promise of a good life is what makes this a lucrative attraction for the people below or hanging in the poverty line. Although the odds of winning is higher than becoming an astronaut, many still take the chance to get the coveted numbers. Unless you are a statistician/mathematician or you have the money the money to buy all the combinations, winning is close to impossible.

Do you think that the pros of playing lottery outweigh the cons or vice versa?

Is government owned lottery a scummy way to tax the poor people?

How far are you willing to gamble to win the coveted jackpot (If you are playing lottery)?

Being a statistician or mathematician doesn't help you in any way. It only makes things brighter for you that it's almost impossible to win because of insane numbers of combinations. To understand this, you don't need to be any of these but one simple formula is enough to calculate the number of combinations according to numbers that take part in the lottery and how many balls will come.
It's not taxation in any way too. Who gives you pressure to buy a lottery ticket? Noone, so, there is no one to blame here except you if you spend a lot of money on it and it affects your financials. The lottery is really a lucky accident that can change your whole life but you have to be very lucky. You can be among 99.9999% that spend money on lottery without benefits or the one who wins.
1460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: October 27, 2020, 05:54:12 PM
Do you use VPN proxy?
Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?

Do You hold Ur machine or wallet in better juridical locations?
And where do you live in such a place where you are under pressure if you trade cryptocurrencies? Or anyone on this forum can tell me any place where laws aren't crypto-friendly? If yes, then also quote from the law.
If you plan to use something, prioritize VPN over proxy because it encrypts and secures all the network traffic. Also, when choosing VPN, be 100% sure that you choose the one that offers unique IP address. When you use regular VPN and exchange sees that sometimes you log in from IP X, sometimes from Y, Z, etc, it does make you look suspicious for them. Their security is like a user must log in from certain IP regularly. New IPs everyday makes it hard for them to understand which one really belongs to you.
