I never thought I'd say this but I now think that this coin could go to parity with bitcoin (on price that is, not on marketcap) at some point. I'm not saying it will, I'm just saying I can see reasons why it could.
I realise thats a bit of a bold statement and back in May when everyone was saying it I was rubbishing them, but the thing is several critical factors have changed since then. 4 things in particular:
[1] - it survived. This is probably the single biggest factor in a coin's fortunes I think - to survive the exit from the gate, a pump & dump phase and an awful lot of FUD attack
[2] - the competition didn't survive (and there was a lot of it). That just shows you what a big technical challenge this type of project is
[3] - it occupies prime space in the market. It has a genuinely original offering that is known to be desirable and furthermore that is mutually exclusive with Bitcoin
[4] - it's a 1st generation proof of work coin that supports Bitcoin's commercial interface. The competition in this field is now dwindling because we're into Bitcoin 2.0 type technologies that are more about shares and stuff. So Darkcoin can be considered now to have fully captured the 1st generation, Bitcoin compatible anonymous POW market for the foreseeable future unless it screws up which looks increasingly unlikely as time goes on
Juast sayin - it's an observation, but if you look at the ask liquidity in the markets it's thin as hell. It doesn't look to me like there's many people wanting out of this coin. If it gets another rise like the May one it's going to be big.

So Darkcoin network seems pretty stable and soon we are gonna have 30% payment. Since black is white and white is black in crypto world, what all these good news usually means to the Darkcoin price? I don't care about the price right now, it will rise eventually with the crypto game changer "InstantX". Besides we can all work on getting more coins and/or Masternodes in the meantime.  Any news about istantX implementation? I would love to have InstantX testing, but there are other things being worked on right now to perfect Darksend...let's give Evan a chance to rest a bit after this last coding bender! |

Tx me too again, with my VPN no prob but does not on the phone ! I am still looking for the DRK Promotion video with the little yellow people in it !!! Anybody remembers and knows where that is hiding ? need that for something ! tx  The video requires flash, won't work on any non-flash enabled devices. Fixed in v15 I think it's better to wait till Evan announce next update 16.15 is not on github yetv0.10.16.15 is available! - Fixed dsee timestamp drift (thx UdjinM6) - 90%+ reduction in collateral charges, should happen every 20+ mixes. - Changed ping time to 5m (would have to have 14 bad propagation events to fall off the list) https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin* In the process of compiling it This is why open source is so important. UdjinM6 has been making great contributions by bug hunting and proposing alternative solutions to issues. This coin is amazing! Evan is doing really awesome things but even he needs some help sometimes. There was A LOT of improvements implemented by him in these few days (you can see for yourself - huge commits there https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin ), not surprising he missed few bugs. Needless to say he was in hurry to fix discovered privacy issue as fast as possible. Now let's see if Darksend finally works as it should and move further. Can't wait to test InstantX EDIT: Btw, don't forget to "star" the repo on github (and "watch" if you'd like) This will help us to gain more score https://www.coingecko.com/enBUMP~!
