Yeah so disappointing to hear all this DASH news. Such a terrible shame to see all these whitepapers and devs hard at work. So depressing to see my masternodes making coins every day. Meanwhile, what joy to listen to Adam White's incisive commentary. The boy is a legend. Go Adam. Go XMR! Where do people get the idea that things are being "pushed back a year"? Evolution will roll out in stages. I don't know what stage was a year from now, but the DAPI should be in place for testnet by the Miami conference. Yes, this correct. It would be ludicrous to go to the North American Bitcoin Conference two months after the unveiling empty-handed. Trolls just like to over-dramaticize everything. The papers and what's being planned temporarily made me speechless (and for me that's saying a lot).  |

I just watched Evan's presentation. Very well done, and a nice round of applause at the end. The most impressive point he made was how, in just 3 months of DGBB, the Dash blockchain has funded three conference visits (Netherlands, Mexico, and Miami), and the purchase of dash.org. Basically, he was able to get there and present and hand out pamplets etc. because of payouts directly from the Dash blockchain. That's pretty remarkable, but I think it may take a while for 'the markets' to recognize the importance of Dash's DGBB.
Personally, I've worked for two well managed, publicly traded tech companies. When it came to suffering through very depressed stock prices (on several occasions in my career), at both companies the execs were careful to tell employees to be patient, just keep executing on projects on time and on budget, and eventually the accomplishments would be recognized and rewarded by Mr. Market. I have to say they have been right every time. I think Dash will follow the same experience, on steroids.
Well said. They say that patience is a virtue! What is important right now is to build the protocol, build the infrastructure, and grow the community. The current price is meaningless. We are already so far ahead of Bitcoin in experience, but crypto in general is hard for the average user to understand. What Dash is embarking on is closing the gap between crypto nerds and the mainstream population. Once crypto becomes easy for the user though Digital Cash, demand will rise and the price will follow. I wouldn't be surprised if we surpass Bitcoin in market cap fairly easily. It's market cap is still tiny in the global scheme of things. This whole industry is still in it's infancy. Great things are coming for great people... |

Disappointed so far, but still eagerly watching.
I just woke up, I'm disappointed too. Here's my take on what happened last night. Vertoe's account: "Paycoin was a scam, Dash is a scam." iCEBREAKER: "#REKT" Flare: "That's not Vertoe, his account got hacked or sold. I have proof." Vertoe's account (scrambling): "I'm not Vertoe but beware the V1G1LANTE and PMs..." We will continue to be disappointed I'm sure. They may come up with something, but it will be either fake or something trivial which they will try to inflate. Who cares anyway? Evan's presentation is the event of the day! Nothing in Vertoe's DM list has any bearing on the current Dash project and where it's heading. That's what investors care about.

If there was a problem with Dash's implementation of CoinJoin it would have been found by now in the heavily-scrutinized open-source code.
Go to your Bitcoin Dev masters and ask them to produce evidence that it is broken. We will then fix whatever they find, and you will have made us stronger.
You see, your FUD doesn't faze us because we're confident, talented, and have faith in our product. We will overcome any obstacle, because we are relentless.

After the first day at this conference, speaking to real people, to investors, to people involved in the bitcoin, and reading the post of smoothie, make me smile. Poor guys thinking that this forum is enough to go forward to devlop a project. Pathetic.
I can told you that we speak with a lot of people and they show a great interest of how Dash is developing and growing, they love the incentive nodes, the budget and voting system, just to tell people that the book they got in their hands was funded by the Dash blockchain was making them happy.
Now that I speak with Evan, I think I understood better Evolution, and I can tell you it is HUDGE.
Really this day make me more confident of Dash futur.

what DarkCoin does is highly centralized
"masternodes" "does not sound like" something decenteralized, "it sounds like" something that creates a small chokepoint which could be used to deanonymize its users, like a server based CoinJoin but worse since you have to hold a huge pile of coins to run a server.
"Does not sound like" and "it sounds like" do not qualify as scientific observations by any stretch of the imagination. These are the ramblings of an individual who has absolutely no clue how Dash works. And you're seriously using that as an avenue to attack Dash? Come on man, you're better than this! Or so I thought... EDIT: Quick, delete your post and repost it! That'll give it more credibility. |

What's that have to do with anything? I can't think of a better way for the public to conclude that this is an asset they want to invest in. The community is growing, developers joining, people noticing. I think you'll find soon enough that our "slump" is most definitely over. |
