Actually, Ethereum will reach 10k with time. So far Bitcoin is still out there and keep getting stronger. I don't even stress my self that much again. I just pair the two with Bitget smart portfolio to balance them while holding some in my non custodial wallet. So,the best time to buy some Ethereum is now because I don't see any reason for a big correction to come unless there is another china FUD on Bitcoin which will definitely affect all cryptocurrencies.
I think that if you want to invest in eth for a few years or even five years, then probably buying now will bring you a profit in the future. But if you are thinking about the upcoming bull market after halving, then maybe it's better to invest in another coin? It's always a good time to buy and if you bought it every day or week or month before now you would already be getting such good prices  Lesson here is don't worry about timing, just keep buying. Today eve, halving even, after halving even. When $100k happens, it all will be good buys. If the price is 100k, that's about 2.7x the current price. I agree with you, we know that Girona is quite easy to beat by teams that are much stronger than them. Failing economies could just adopt the US dollar if they think it will boost them in some way. Stablecoins could be useful if they were more widely accepted. Currently, their greatest benefit is as a store of value. The US dollar is still susceptible to manipulation and inflation but it will not depreciate as fast as a currency suffering hyperinflation.
I still have to rethink how stable crypto coin would hwlp a falling economy. Many of these stable coins are owned by individuals that are not attributed to the government. The government can decide to create it own digital coin just like China had done and that would help people to run transactions using the coin online especially for swapping and payment of services. Digital coin am be implemented by a country but that does not determine the growth of the actually economy. You're thinking right. Stablecoin is always counted as a dollar, but it is just a surrogate om the dollar. So the government can make it illegal at any time. They'd prefer to loose out on a huge sum as they've calculated the expected outcome and have decided to sacrifice whatever it is that they have committed to betting on that particualr game. I will call it risk rather than greed.
Probably it is both risk and greed, because a person takes risks trying to earn money. Greed is the amount of money a person is willing to risk.
