Almost 2 months later and they still have not given any reply regarding my refund for X3 and have not given any updates regarding refunds...
Man I feel for you.

I don't know dude. July 6 is kind of late to be asking for a refund. Most of the problems with the X-1 and X-3 are a result of the incompetence of Blackarrow not Minersource. They promised delivery in February not April but have stalled until July to deliver.
I made a purchase of an X-3 and I make a bad choice. I made a mistake but I am looking at ways to salvage a bad situation. Asking for a refund at this point is next to impossible. Do I want to take them to court to fight it out? Not worth my time or the expense. I could have asked for a refund from Blackarrow in February when they were late but instead I took a chance that they would deliver in March/April. It is now July and still no X-3. We learn from our mistakes and move on.

All I needed to hear months ago to confirm they are scumbags was "hold on to your coins, they will go fast". For those that remember.
Look to Blackarrow if you want to see a scumbag company in action. Refunds that are less that what you paid in fiat if you can get them to refund at all. 5 months late on deliveries of product. Delays and stalling. Oh they can't get their miner to work for months but a guy in Bulgaria can get their chips working on his board in a couple of weeks. At least KNC can deliver what they promise.

I am going to try the waters with converting 4 x-1 units into 3 technobit boards. Wish me luck!
Brother I am with ya. I am swapping 2 x3's as we speak. I had to get a loan for the $13k conversion to 200 chips. But then, I bought 4th/s and they made it 6th/s and now with the chips and additional money, its 25 th/s. This seems good to me.. am I wrong? 200 chips is 20 TH/s, not 25. I hope that doesn't douse your campfire. Actually around 22 - 24 TH/s depends on the luck. From Black Arrow, maybe, but these MartoMiners TM are doing a pretty steady 400 GH/s. I haven't seen one go higher. Can anyone refute this? They go up to 120 per chip but the power consumption is going up I like MartoMiners TM BTW Is there a recommended standoff to use for the boards? Plastic about 2.5 cm to get airflow under the boards.

The calculators say you won't roi but they don't take into consideration if you solo mine. Yes I know the odds but wtf. Go to bitsolo.net and point your old miner there. If you get lucky and hit a block, you just roi and a bit more. Bet your calculator didn't tell you this.

Everyone should accept/decline this deal based on the face value costs, and consider any discount to be bonus for the reasons of planning. Also all those PMing me asking for special things or consideration, sorry but this GB is already going to eat into what little time during the day I have left, and cant be taking 30 minutes per person to make special arrangements.
ok but can you tell us how much we will need to invest?if I have for example x3(100 asics) what are additional costs for me and how much is that so I could have a working miner(if we subtract half of chips for boards of course)? This topic has been covered but just to go over highlights. x-3 converts to 100 chips. To do a chip to board conversion and payment with chips you need 48 chips for 12 boards. Then 48 chips go to Martin for payment with 4 chips leftover. You then need 48 -Intel 1150 heats sinks/fans 100watts cooling min. Average cost is around $25 per heat sink so $1200. You need min 12 -500 watt power supplies. Average cost is around $50 so $600 Add in two open wrt controllers for around $50 . So your cost will be around $1850 not including shipping and what power supplies you get and heat sinks.

I think it was mention on another forum but Technobit might be willing to take chips in exchange for assembly. So maybe two chips for a completed board. That means we can get 15 -4 chip boards with 10 left to cover any bad chips. This would work for me. Less out of pocket and we would get about 6TH of mining power.

We are already organizing this for all our miner source customers.
Is this open to non miner source customers?

I am wondering if there is any interest in a group buy for assembly of a minion based miner. In quantities over 150 technobit will give a 20% discount. Blackarrow has offered 100 minion chips for each x-3 order. Which means per order you can build 25- 4 chip miners. I don't have any experience in a group buy but I wanted to just see if someone in the community was willing to take up this job and if there is interest.

So the surprise that Black Arrow was holding back is the fact that they won't price match their competitors and they can't offer any more compensation? Was this really any surprise or just expected?

If you think KNC is deceitful look at Blackarrow or Hashfast.
So I only committed fraud 10 times, not 100, obviously makes it all better.. At the end of the day when you consider, the BFL's of the BTC world, sometimes fraud 10 times doesn't look too bad.

New idea. Deposit $200,000 into US auction of confiscated SR coins. Get as many as you can and hold for dear life! *or diversify If you pegged the auction coins at 550 a piece, the smallest block of 3K, would cost just over half of his 3M. 550 * 3,000 = 1,650,000 Heck, in that case, with the direction bitcoin price is currently heading he just might be able to purchase two of them. Obviously that would wipe out any sort of diversification of his investment, much riskier but potentially that much more lucrative. The terms of the auction is that you must say the maximum price that you are willing to pay and how many you are willing to buy. If he wanted two then he could say he will buy 2 @ 1.5mm each. If he wanted to be sure to get one he could say he would buy 1 @ $1.65mm (and 1 @ 1.35mm if he wanted a chance to get a 2nd one) For the lazy ones : "This auction is for 9 blocks of 3,000 bitcoins (“Series A Blocks”) and 1 block of 2,656.51306529 bitcoins (“Series B Block”)." "1. The eligible bidder who offers the highest price will be the prevailing bidder; 2. If there are multiple bids at the highest price, the first bid received will prevail; and 3. If fewer than all of the Series A blocks are sold to the highest bidder, the remaining blocks will be sold to the successive highest bidders until all blocks are sold." It closes June 30 but we won't have the winners&price immediately, does someone know if the final auction price will be public? This is correct, but it does not make it any easier for the OP to be able to get 2 3k blocks from the auction He can get a 3k block and the 2.6x block I am sure he could invest more than 3m if needed The OP said he is looking to invest 3m so I doubt he wants to be upselled to be investing more 3m is not enough to invest. I read an article that said most companies that are looking to get into a mining operation or an investment in a bitcoin service need to spend upwards of 20m or more. 3m to 10m is too small.

Are they hashing only for them selves or there is some customer hardware too ? Stupid KNC is selling all off, keeping the BTC price low If KNC is hashing, it is doing it with their equipment.
