first email I received

second email just received

don't buy off this company till confirmed by well known member from this forum
I really think they're cleaning up before Monday and there's not going to be anything to check out.

@CYPHER, I think you're the only one I would trust so far that's offered to check them out.  please consider a visit Monday or too many people are going to be ripped off.
I'm sure good or bad there will be a few tips that should cover your time and fuel.
242  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 25, 2014, 01:08:01 PM
Hi all, I live close-by and shall be paying them a visit on Monday (as I want to be sure the building is physically open).

If I find a team there, and it all seems legit I will be ordering 1-2 units there and then.

As soon as I arrive home I will post up all info/photos/videos of my visit.

See you Monday!

JOINTSTARR

I appreciate you time and effort and look forward to your evidence....
BUT, how are you going to prove we can trust you..?

you've just become member couple weeks ago and have 1 post under your belt.
No, offence but how do we know you're not on the dark side and actually working with them.
243  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Announcing NEW 3TH/s and 5TH/s 20nm Bitcoin Miners on: January 25, 2014, 10:36:33 AM
could you just have waited till someone physically checked them out.

someone who live nearby could you please visit this company and please bring a camera.
or better still start video recording from outside as you walk in asking questions. act like a news reporter.

ps. i'll pay for your fuel in BTC tips

if Neil would insert in his signature...
"if you like my work and like to support development please donate to this address: 1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
you'll find you may get some extra income donations as some people prefer this.
wouldn't hurt.

PS. how is minepeon port for beaglebone going? will it be possible to get it working with KNC miners, or would you need more info from KNC to achieve this reliably?

looks more like a pump and dump before disappearing

246  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: labcoin lawsuit on: January 25, 2014, 07:00:01 AM

The remaining amount 2221.40€ (current bitcoin.de price 592.01€ = 3.7523 BTC), needs to be payed before the lawyer submits the complaint next week.

The exact amount may change a little bit if the price of Bitcoin goes up or down.

3.7523 - 2.3025 = 1.4498 BTC outstanding amount required to complete payment to lawyer

For those that are looking to use it - it's really easy, just insert the API key that Burnside emailed us last night and a CSV file will download itself to your browser:

Your personal portfolio   https://btct.co/csv/portfolio?key=[API key]
Your complete trade history   https://btct.co/csv/trades?key=[API key]
Your complete dividend history   https://btct.co/csv/dividends?key=[API key]
Your complete deposit history   https://btct.co/csv/deposits?key=[API key]
Your complete withdrawal history   https://btct.co/csv/withdrawals?key=[API key]

click on one of the links above and then paste your API key that you received in the email to the end after the "=" and hit enter

a "xxxxxxx.csv" file will download to your computer.
do it with all the links above to download 'portfolio', 'trades', 'dividends', 'deposits' and 'withdrawals'.  Total 5 files to download.

then what I done was subtract any Labcoin withdrawals of dividends and/or selling any Labcoin shares from total trades buying Labcoin shares.

eg. I spent 21.16 BTC buying Lacoin shares but later I withdrew the dividends received of 0.16 BTC leaving total 21.0 BTC value lost.  <-- this part I also outline including the amount of shares currently holding in the email to the lawyer.

If you haven't done already, you'll have to contact 'visualspade' to include you in the lawsuit.  then he will reply with lawyer contact details.

252  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 24, 2014, 03:16:13 PM
Hello, everyone.

I have a problem to solve. Maybe some of you are experiencing this, too:

My OC'd Saturn machine is hashing at a much higher rate than BTCGuild is reporting. I tried resetting the worker to clear stats, but it's still reporting as much lower than the machine itself is reporting.

MORE DETAILS:
----------

I succeeded at least in overclocking on paper and have been running overnight. There are still at least several things I'm unclear on, such as how to get wizkid's cgminer in place, but those will come in a bit, I guess.

Does anyone know why my Saturn is reporting a significantly lower hashrate than at BTC? The Saturn GUI is reporting 326ghs, but poolside BTCGuild hasn't budged above 292. That's quite a difference and not markedly better from my un-OC'd machine.

I tried resetting my worker stats, but that doesn't seem to have done anything either. BTCGuild is reporting 0.13% rejects.

My machine:
October version Saturn
Running 99.1-tuning
OC'd to 231

In SSH as of this moment, the Saturn is showing 329.3G/325.8Gh/s. Still a long way off from 292.

Does anyone know what this issue might be?

you have to minus the percentage of errors and rejected shares from your hash rate to get hash rate that pool should show.

eg.  if your hash rate is 300GH/s and you have 2% errors and 1% rejected then 300-9 = 291GH/s

Yeah, beware, the web site registrant is hidden behind a "privacy" shell company in Australia.

ummm gold coast, did we not have a scam outfit there a couple of months back...

most probably the same mob...

queensland has always been a state where scam artists originate from, even before the internet days.  btw, I'm Australian.

I think we're never going to hear from rebecca again...

she/they should have have known that bitcointalk isn't very good forum for scammers.

I love this forum.
If it wasn't for this forum I would have been scammed many times over.
cheers

Hi Rebecca,

you do realize there are the so called 'ASIC police force' (many guys from this forum that live in the UK, not to mention many that will also travel overseas to confirm working prototype) that will be stalking your factory and/or office till these miners are released

also you are going to get ripped to shreds by this forum, this is normal behavior of this great forum... I hope your up for it, and know what you're getting yourself into.

let the games begin
cheers.

I got receipt (not a reply) from the 'riccardo' email, not the gmail address

receipt needs to be enabled/ticked in option settings of email message before sending, and when he receives email he clicks send receipt.  This is what I received.

If you had just 100 Bitcoins, and the price settled over 10k.....   someday mate....  someday soon  Wink
People will be so glad their machine spits out .005 a day....

maybe at 0.1 or 0.05, but not at 0.005 a day, this will only be $50 at $10,000 per bitcoin, then takeaway power cost it will be even less...

sure you calculated it correctly?

$50 a day is not that bad as long as it covers 50% of your operational costs.

e.g. $50 a day, 50% maintenance costs (energy + space rent + time etc etc) you still got 30*$50*.5=$750 net per month.

And how much will $750 a month buy at 2140 inflation levels? Smiley

Don't be fooled by me translating the 0.005 btc into dollars, it was just for the sake of clarity.

I'm a miner and I never cash-out xtc right away after having mined it. I cash-out very rarely and only if I really need it and only for the amount that I have to spend. Or just because the thing I have to buy is available in btc only.

The real question you need to ask is: what you will be able to buy with 0.005 xtc by 2015 (I don't dare to move time horizon further than that Smiley

I recently received my electric bill for $1700.00 AUD (Australia is 1kw/h@0.30 cents) and it's for same period (3 months) of running 3 jupiters, 1 BFL little single plus air-con running 20% of the time.  BTW, I'm running Jupiter firmware 0.95 with only draws average 580W each

when I add 2 (maybe 3) Neptunes it will probably triple the power cost.
