241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase on the defensive about these bitcoin ordinal centralized meme coins on: December 12, 2023, 11:02:59 AM
So bitcoin developers are up in arms against how the bitcoin blockchain has been used by ordinals and see it as digital graffiti which needs to be wiped clean from anything to be done with bitcoin and its usage going forward.

Here is an article which describes what a hinderance these inscriptions can be to the future of the blockchain:

Will ORDI Price Go to Zero If Bitcoin Ordinals Are Censored by bitcoin developers
https://beincrypto.com/bitcoin-ordinals-inscriptions-ordi-price
Without the proposal to censor Ordinals, Inscriptions on Bitcoin blockchain to reduce congestion in Bitcoin mempools, those BRC20 tokens and NFTs will fall to zero with time.

They will not have different endings than NFTs from Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain blockchains. Art NFT was sold in a half of million dollar, it's insane and in my opinion, there is no such value for those NFTs that were created as hooks to steal money from greedy people.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and patience on: December 12, 2023, 02:53:28 AM
Patience can lead anyone through the process of achieving success and greed will make someone experience big problems in investing. Bitcoin provides a solution for anyone and bitcoin can also bring financial freedom if invested correctly. But you also have to think that Bitcoin will not provide quick wealth because there is a balance of capital and profits from the investment process and vice versa for long-term holders.
Bitcoin is here, the market is here and available for everyone to participate in and find their chances to get rich, enrich their wealth but the market is always a zero-sum game.

Money will flow from losers to winners in the market and who are greed but don't have patience to wait for profit, will buy at top, sell at bottom and have loss. Their money will flow into wallets of winners in the market who are keen on patiently holding and investment. They don't need to trade, just buy and hold, wait for good prices to take profit.

The market is always spinning, up and down, with its own cycle from price to psychology.

he Psychology of market cycles.

What needs to be understood is that investing is a very simple job and not difficult to do for anyone who has the capital, knowledge and time to carry it out. Because every person who has these three aspects can easily carry them out and can also be quite relaxed without having to panic and act uneasy when they see bad things that are not necessarily true. Investing only requires a little strategy so you don't need to worry too much about panic when you're already running it, so this is a job that can be done more comfortably and relaxed.
Investing is so hard for people who are not patient enough and are not disciplined enough. They will buy and sell emotionally that will cause buying at top, selling at bottom and they will say Investing is hard.

By doing bad action in the market, it is right with them to say Investing is hard but if they can learn and change themselves, make better and wiser actions in the market, they can become successful investors.

That thread must be updated.

There is no longer a user Ratimov. All threads of that user, now is Symmetrick, were wiped out and all were in Archival with blank content status.

Use this thread is better because it has more guides.

246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade in market rate when trading on: December 09, 2023, 09:05:38 AM
Your LOL is too careless because it doesn't always monitor the price of new coins that are hype and FOMO.
When you have no control and have to leave the application, then do nothing, do it manually.
The fluctuation of newly listed tokens is tremendous.
With a new coin listed on exchanges, even it is listed on a big one like Binance, don't touch it after a like 7 days or 14 days. Because you simply can not know where it will go in early days.

Wait like 2 weeks or 1 month to see it settles down and find your opportunities with its crash. You can get profit with its bounce but don't hold those new coins because they are very risky.

Check their token unlock schedule too.

Trading as a beginner or as an experience traders might gives us different results like the possible outcome of your trade base on your vast knowledge about the craft, but we should not forget that the work we put in even when we are blowing different account defines us
The most difficulty for newbies are
- Avoid trading Bitcoin.
- Avoid touching altcoins.

If they can have bitcoin but avoid trading bitcoin, they will be Bitcoin holders and will easily get profit by holding bitcoin.

When holding, they must hold their bitcoin safely and not store it on centralized exchanges.
Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 09, 2023, 07:27:56 AM
Bitcoin has touched its highest price this year, a few hours ago Bitcoin was close to $45K this is a green signal for the Bitcoin market. First target was $35K Bitcoin market will go to $40K he achieved that target quickly Now Bitcoin target is to touch $50K and I believe it will happen very soon. Currently the Bitcoin market is pumping more than it is dumping which is why we are optimistic that the price of Bitcoin can touch $50K this year itself. If the price of Bitcoin touches $50K this year it will be a new milestone for Bitcoin this year. As a Bitcoin investor we expect Bitcoin to touch the highest price.
The reasonable target is in six number. When Bitcoin will get its price like $100,000 and higher?

I will hold my bitcoin till it get six number for its price because I know it will achieve those high prices. Future supply will decrease, become smaller with each Bitcoin halving and adoption for Bitcoin will be bigger. Price must be higher and from $69,000 for 2021 all time high to $100,000, it is about less than 40% increase.

40% increase is not an impossible growth for Bitcoin and I am really sure it will be there in 2024 and 2025. After that, bear market will come but it is for a next bull market with a new all time high. Soon we will see price under $100,000 is a past, a regret like now it is impossible to see Bitcoin falls to $1,000 like in 2017.
249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Binance charge me $2K more than the current BTC price? on: December 09, 2023, 04:21:48 AM
I can not understand your issue. From two screenshots, difference between two prices are 20k, not 2k like you described in OP.

Two screenshots are like from the same pair, same trading page as I see you can enter the amount of money and see a conversion to amount of BTC you can get with that money if you initiate the buy order. None of screenshots is from their landing page.

Even at their landing page, price is real-time updated like the above user said.

Could you give us more details about your issue, please?

Meanwhile you can log in, log out your account and see will the issue be solved?

I want to make an investment with just $50 as a beginner i don't know which coin am i to start with but i heard been hearing a lot of people both physically and on social networks saying incredible things about (BTC), that is the best. please i need your assistance ??
You joined a right forum, Bitcointalk.
Your best choice for your investment is choosing Bitcoin and using your money to buy it.

Don't look for other coins (altcoins) because you will have to take massive higher risk with altcoins. They can show you so attractive ROIs but altcois can be dead. Bitcoin won't die.

Prioritizing to protect your capital, avoid loss for your capital, you will have a best choice, Bitcoin.

251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 02:14:56 PM
Bitcoin Halving is definitely coming next year and we are precise about it, this is a period where the market goes more profitable because it's highly volatile after the incident of the halving has taken place, when we hold, we are part of those positioned to experience the same opportunity that comes with bitcoin Investment to this period, we are likely to see it coming within the first half of the year 2024 and am not sure if the specific date is yet announced where it will took place precisely.
This halving seems to be very interesting with rumor that Bitcoin Spot ETF applications from companies in the USA. will be approved in bulk. The matter is will SEC. approves those applications and rumor is if SEC make approval, it will not be for a single application, one by one, but will be in bulk to give fair competition for those companies that submit their applications to SEC.

I believe without Bitcoin Spot ETFs in the USA. Bitcoin will have its bull run with effects from halving. Bitcoin Spot ETFs will only be catalyst for the bull run but it is not most important contributor for it. I like others, want to see Bitcoin Spot ETF approvals.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 12:15:56 PM
The historical trend suggests a potential surge in prices. While it's an exciting time for the market, it's equally important to approach it cautiously. Only invest what you can afford to lose, as market directions can be unpredictable. Tracking the halving countdown and related activities is a wise move.
All time highs, highest price each year show prices when people are most FOMOing and corrections after that show panic around the market.

To see the price growth of Bitcoin, see how it sustainably grows with time, people must be enlightened and see a picture with lowest price for each year, each cycle. Lowest prices show us a reality that when the market is most boring and most of people are panic, it still shows a steady growth trend.

Yearly candles can help you to see the steady trend with Yearly lowest price (bottom of each yearly candle)
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I see many users talk about trading but does anyone here actually trading? on: December 08, 2023, 11:11:38 AM
I see many threads about how hard trading is here, but i don't think it's so hard to that you want to make it look like. I wonder is anyone here actually trading or have tried to trading, or is it just to fill the sign-campaign requirement?

A very good description of Trading.

What do you see here?

Trading is hard and it is easier to lose money than to get profit with trading. I think trading is very addictive and many people can not quit trading because they already addict with trading.

Trading is a tough journey like the chart you share and in this volatile market, with news, fud, trading is harder as emotion, psychology can be affected a lot. Investing is not easy too but if comparing to trading, it is more easier to get profit.

The challenge with investment is choosing a good asset. If you choose Bitcoin, you done a hardest part and the rest is holding it to get profit. It will be so smooth if you look at the chart in Log scale.

As the count down to Bitcoin halving continues I feel I should put it up here for all to see and take every necessary and relevant steps to fill their bags as time permits.

https://coinmarketcap.com/

Click on the Bitcoin halving at the front page, there you would see the halving details.
There are many halving count down timers but they are all estimation tools. You can feel curious about when halving will happen but don't worry because around the halving block, you will see many news on big websites like Coindesk, Cointelegraph, Coinbase, social media and even in bitcointalk.
Most Reliable Halving Countdown?

Quote
Hopefully, this forth coming halving would trigger a new all time high as the case maybe and as such the market is still early to enter. While doing this, use funds you can afford to lose as no one can predict the direction of the market.

It would also be nice to keep track of the halving count down and activities and to do that, the link below can help you out by taking you to the coin market cap page where it is visible to see.
Usually Bitcoin will need like 6 to 9 months after a halving to make its all time high. It can make it quicker or slower this time but if you have it in mind, you will be able to take profit around all time high price.

I know investment relates to time and each investor will have different waiting time for investment plan. If you can have your plan for like 2 or 3 halvings, you will get massive profit. If you want to do it, you must not use all money for investment and need to have cash to use as well so that you won't have to sell your bitcoin.
255  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: December 07, 2023, 01:51:03 PM
When I logged into my account today to study some bets for the next round of the Portuguese and Brazilian championships, I came across the button: Luis Suaréz
I thought it was a betting promotion, since Suaréz is playing for Grêmio - Brazil, but no, he's the new ambassador for Duelbits  Grin

The company is still going strong with its campaigns and advertising
Duelbits are actually very big gambling platform and they are very actively with marketing. We see it in Bitcointalk with their signature campaign and many contests. Beyond the forum, they also do many marketing propaganda on their platform and social media like Twitter.

This one is another marketing initiative from Duelbits team to expand their business to more gambler community.

Quote
Was the fact that he was playing in Brazil a determining factor? To further promote Duelbits in the country?
It is easier to think so and what you thought could be a real reason too.

However first and foremost, Luiz Suarez must be a very famous super star player to receive such deal from Duelbits team. So Brazil or wherever he is playing might not be a biggest reason for this deal.

The official reason only can be known if Duelbits team share their opinion on this discussion.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT TAKING THEIR PRIVACY SERIOUSLY. on: December 07, 2023, 10:14:30 AM
Would you sow anyone your bank account transactions just because they want to see? Is it any of their business?

People are not taking their blockchain privacy seriously enough. It wasn't too long ago that FTX users' financials were exposed in a hack!
People are naively enough to think they don't have anything to hide. Especially newbies who can easily be scammed or give up any personal information around the Internet. They don't know that if they post anything on Internet, it is there forever and if it is thing related to privacy, it means their privacy lost forever.

Many senior people even don't mind about privacy but whenever they realize awful mistakes they did in the past, it's too late to gain their privacy back. Because they can not simply summon all posts, documents back. They only can hope that nobody will dig into their past documents and try to make exploitation from what they found.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: December 07, 2023, 10:09:07 AM
Marc-André ter Stegen is injured in Barcelona and he is going to be out for a long time after the surgery he had recently, that's why Barcelona is trying to find an alternative goalkeeper and now it seems Yassine Bounou the goalkeeper of Al Hilal is linked to Barcelona. Usually, we see the Saudis trying to hire players from top European teams but now it seems Barcelona wants to hire an Arab goalkeeper.

Bounou is a good replacement for Stegen because he is a good goalkeeper with ability was verified in Sevilla and Morocco in World Cup 2022. He has a big advantage of having many seasons playing for Sevilla in La Liga. It can be his plus point against other goalkeepers who are under radar of Barcelona.

The challenge for this deal is will Al Hilal easily to let him go even with just a loan transfer for a second half of season?

They are competing with Al Nassr for Saudi Professional League title and Bounou is like one of their important players. He is so helpful for Al Hilal defense system and I actually don't think they will release him to Barcelona with whatever offer from Barcelona.

Al Hilal's efforts with Barcelona make me suspect that there will be an exchange of players, for example Barcelona wants goalkeeper Al Hilal and Barcelona will give players to Al Hilal but this is just my suspicion because we all know that all clubs in Saudi Arabia always bring in players from Europe which is very rare. selling players to European clubs or maybe Barcelona is just looking for players at a cheaper price and doesn't care where the players come from.
If this really happens, it seems like Al Hilal will not let go of Yassine Bounou because this goalkeeper is very reliable at Al Hilal, who performs quite well in every match, so perhaps the news regarding this goalkeeper will just be a rumor.
Al Hilal are not lack of star players so they will choose players are important with them than getting one or two more young or star players without much importance for their squad.

Barcelona will have to give Al Hilal a very good offer to bring Bounou back to La Liga. It's clearly that money is not a main concern of Al Hilal and Barcelona even can not compete with the Saudi Arabia club in aspect of money for player transfer and salary.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon said he would close Bitcoin down if he was in government on: December 07, 2023, 08:07:07 AM
Third, and most importantly, the government cannot shut down Bitcoin. Neither can JPMorgan. Neither can all of these extremely powerful banks all over the world. Neither can the combined powers of both the governments and the banks. Having said this, Jamie Dimon should either shut up because they're all helpless and powerless in the face of Bitcoin or hop on the bandwagon, be cool, make money, be more powerful, and be free.
He does not have that power and likely will not have it in future. He can become a President of a nation but even with that power, what will he do?

Banning Bitcoin?
Killing the Bitcoin network?

He will never be able to do this as a single person or with power of a single nation because Bitcoin network is decentralized globally.

And they insist on continuing to make fools of themselves, we should not pay too much attention to this nonsense from the forum, rather than for entertainment purposes.
Jamie and JP Morgan only focus on money, ROI they can have for their bank. What people especially Bitcoin communities think about Jamie and JP Morgan, is not their main concern.

Around the corner of 2023, we have a funny comedy from Jamie. Enjoy his comedy but he will come back with others in future.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon said he would close Bitcoin down if he was in government on: December 07, 2023, 02:51:45 AM
First, he is not a government staff nor a President of any country.
Second, JP Morgan is a big commercial bank but it is not the only bank globally. It does not have super powerful power to do anything that can harm and shut down Bitcoin.

Jamie Dimon and JP Morgan have ridiculous history against Bitcoin.

JPMorgan's Dimon says bitcoin 'is a fraud'
JPMorgan to give all wealth clients access to crypto funds.

From 2017 to 2021, JP Morgan changed a lot and what changes will they do in next years?

This one is more interesting. Dimon’s many bitcoin moments of regret, in one chart.
260  Economy / Reputation / Re: Most famous person on Bitcointalk? on: December 06, 2023, 09:52:51 AM
Many people who are well known cryptocurrency figures have been active in the forum at some point. Outside of Satoshi, probably the biggest name would be Vitalik Buterin — the creator of Ethereum. There are also controversial personalities like Roger Ver.
A hacker who stole over 50,000 BTC from the Silk Road also had a forum account. He was known as Loaded on BitcoinTalk.
