241  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: August 30, 2021, 08:45:22 AM
A hacker return stolen crypto

Quote
But was the thief a good samaritan who stole the money to expose a dangerous security flaw

Quote
"I am not very interested in money!” the hacker wrote, adding it was “always the plan” to return the funds.

How can that happen that a hacker does that I return the stolen crypto and say he is not interested in money. This is funny K can say that. What do you think about this story.
In my opinion 600 million dollars is a huge amount and it is very difficult to launder into legal money , There is no reason for a good hacker to not be greedy , All problems like I said above are 600 million Dollars are a huge amount of money . All life around us is controlled by laws and banks , if he suddenly becomes rich and has a huge amount of money in the bank card he/she will be immediately suspected money laundering through cryptocurrencies. It is also possible that this is a type of hacker who just mistakenly aims to find the company's vulnerabilities to see their mistakes and help them fix those mistakes.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: August 30, 2021, 08:32:28 AM
I'm not that much fan of continuous learning especially to secure funds and to make sure that I am transacting efficiently, but literally, we people mostly are contented from what we have especially the way how we transact using traditional methods such as transacting with fiats, and bank transfers. I have met allot of people and some of them are already old (60 above), and for them, there's no room for improvements in terms of transactions as even bank transfer is hard for them to execute that they need someone to support them while doing so.

Question arises if they are in situation like this, how can we teach them with new methods of transaction such as bitcoin or to somehow take them out of their comfort zone when in fact, their aren't really comfortable with it in a sense that they need assistance of younger generations. Perhaps, there's nothing wrong to still try and make them accept in bitcoin if we know how we can properly explain it to them. Or to use the concept of "Abstraction" which I learned from Object Oriented Programming.

The easiest way is to make sure you're not going right away into technical terms such as Encryptions, Hash Rates, Blockchain, etc. And to take it slowly by using smart analogy to correlate it while explaining because believe me, old people behaves unpredictably. Make it easy and start your conversation by offering a good meal, share some stories as you transition to tell him a new version of Gold (As I believe it can be a good example of physical bitcoin) which is virtual and anonymously created by someone up until now is not known.

Story goes explaining that they need an internet access in order to buy this virtual currency that they can use for e-commerce, or transacting with other people and it is like sending messages but instead of strings of characters, they can only send numbers in which are called Bitcoins. Another is that bitcoin is like Fungus.
Quote
“Fungi don’t have a central ‘brain,”
what is there is a decentralized networks that shares the same information, the same with fungus having a characteristics of
Quote
"resource management, reproduction, and defense strategy.”
Fungi are also undying as after the five mass extinction, they still remain on earth. That's how powerful bitcoin network is.

I'm sure there comes a portion of the conversation when they will ask how to secure their money will be or how to access it. This is when we will try to simplify things out by explaining public keys and private keys in a way that they usually know how it works such as comparing it with username and password on their facebook, twitter or Instagram accounts. Moreover, try to use analogy as your conversation goes deeper and deeper in a sense that they will understand each terms without you giving them bunch of knowledge in which they don't understand.

Of course everyone will not be interested if we are just sharing things like these without giving them something more valuable than what they normally use. Here we might want to state some features of bitcoin such as semi-anonymous transactions, peer to peer, low transaction fees for international payments, accessibility, and one of my favorite, an investment.

A dream of inviting our old citizens to bitcoin will not be possible if we ourselves lacks the fundamental knowledge about it, the best way to properly explain things is to first learn and use it. There's we can formulate various analogy to correlate terms and to lead them in the right path as they engage themselves with bitcoin. I believe that there's no boundary of ages for people to use it, that is why I like to learn and use bitcoin.
BTC is currently a favorite and popular currency in many parts of the world, even I myself love to learn about BTC now BTC is like my life , Ưhen I wake up tomorrow morning I want to see How does BTC price go up and down? . And especially i am learning how to use BTC to buy and sell on e-commerce sites that allow payment in BTC and BTC is my life.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: August 30, 2021, 08:16:33 AM
Today, the tether continues to print 250 million tether, raising the tether's market capitalization to more than $ 2.7 billion to reach the top 10 coinmarketcap. People say that every time a tether is printed, the bitcoin price increases because the tether pumped USDT onto the floor to push the bitcoin price. What do you think about this and keep the USDT safe?
I think this is a stable coin and we have nothing to worry about a lot of daily transactions based on Tether USDT exchange and very high transaction rate anyone wants to sell BTC/USDT ,ETH/USDT or buy and use this coin, it's still very safe for all of us now.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin = 100k by December on: August 29, 2021, 05:44:37 PM
Can Bitcoin Still Make 100k by December?  Huh
When Bitcoin (BTC) reached its all-time high of $65,000 in April, it felt like the $100,000 mark was the next stop for the cryptocurrency. However, the following months brought along a change in market trend and the entire cryptocurrency market took a steep dive.
I read an article on Blockster with different opinions on the topic. Let's discuss, what do you think?
https://blockster.com/blockdesk/1411_can-bitcoin-still-make-100k-by-december-many-think-it-can
We all can't speculate on BTC price and this December and also don't know what the next top will be , Ưhich is a very difficult thing to predict but compared to the current ATH breakdown it's still not enough to jump . To 100k $ but if it is in the range of 50k $ - 70k $ is possible within the next few months.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Say Bitcoin is scam on: August 29, 2021, 05:38:07 PM
Let's just it is scam
How Long from Today we have left until Bitcoin will be done?
Let's say its scam we know today so how long we have time until it collpse?
Just humble speculation Let's play out the worse case scenario hope for the best prepare for the worse!
in 2009 BTC was born and started to develop many people think BTC is a form of ponzi but in fact you look at 2011-2020 BTC has grown tremendously in recent years and never think BTC is a scam if you are longtime market participants and an experienced investor. You are having very negative thoughts and will affect a lot of people on the forum I don't like about this, especially new members to this forum . I am a crypto lover and i believe in it.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Bitcoin skills on: August 28, 2021, 01:48:47 AM
my first post on this forum I decided to make it here since Bitcoin is what I want to concentrate on going forward, I discovered this site through a google search in my quest to get answers to some questions about Bitcoin. And am amazed at how rich in information this forum is I have found almost 50% answers within my short period on this forum all thanks to the members who have been here before me.
I have a very simple question on Bitcoin:
What are the principal technical skills a bitcoin lover needs to have if I want to buy a large amount of Bitcoin and hold it for long-term purposes?
First of all to share the issues you raised in this topic , I would like to welcome you to our forum where we are all equal and working together to make progress. Regarding the basic skills you mentioned , from my many years of experience , I would like to share one thing about this with you:
 About basic skills:
1. The first thing is that you must know how to use the wallet , how to set it up , how to send and create an address , enter the key . Especially Make sure to save and store your wallet key/passphrase/password safely and securely . My advice is that you should write it down on paper and keep it.
2. Learn how to transfer and receive money to your account? . learn how to trade P2P , how to buy and sell on exchanges , how to deposit and withdraw.
3. In addition , you need to know which projects or cryptocurrency platforms are reputable , long-term, shareable on forums and search on gg.
4. Learn how to stay up to date with the latest sophisticated scams on the forums to protect yourself and your property.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake token in wallet on: August 28, 2021, 01:21:01 AM
We can't really remove it from the wallet completely , it's best not to swap or swap the coins as you listed:
* ALPACAFIN.CO ... (ALPACA)
* BestAir.io (AIR)
* BNBW.IO (BNBW)
* BSCTOKEN.IO (BSCTOK ...)
* GoFlux.io (FLUX)
* Minereum BSC (MNEB)
* ShibaDrop.io (SHIB)
* TheEver.io (EVER)
* AirStack.net (AIR)
* TheVera.io (VERA)
  I did it wrong and tried swap resulting in losing everything in my wallet , these are acts of appropriating other people's assets by technology , first we need to share to more people how to avoid and avoid unreasonable loss of money.

249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Right now should I wait to buy ? on: August 27, 2021, 02:54:47 AM
Right now, if you have capital and can spare some for future investments, I recommend buying as it is a good price to buy during this downtrend. The drop may not be much lower than current levels, so even if you buy now, you're good to go.

252  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football fan token impact from $PSG $BAR $ATM $JUV on crypto gambling community on: December 21, 2020, 01:39:26 AM
Did a bit more research after posting here. Seems like there's a special category for these tokens as they're getting listed on the Binance innovation zone.
It'll be mined through Binance Launchpool via Staking for BNB / BUSD / CHZ so it is good for hodlers and hedgers. Bottom line is so far the generation and majority distribution seems to be limited to the crypto crowd and not football fans in the stadium. I am really interested to see how these tokens make it to the hands of the average football fan who is not an avid crypto-goer.
253  Economy / Gambling / Re: Football fan token impact from $PSG $BAR $ATM $JUV on crypto gambling community on: December 20, 2020, 11:41:49 PM
So its trending already PSG and JUV getting listed through Binance Launchpool. People on Bitcoinpub are talking about it, I've seen a few threads on the Altcoin discussion tab already but all of them are about the investment prospect and long term viability about the tokens. They aren't talking about what kind of impact would the crypto gambling scene have with the introduction of these coins.

I am not very active on the forum these days, this is just by my research in the past few hours. Correct me if I am wrong, have any pre-established gambling platforms like stake or nitrosports (or whatever's legit these days) posted any announcements of starting to accept these?

Quite interesting stuff if you ask me. Some of these clubs have fans in the millions, larger than the entire population of some very well developed economies!
I wonder if they would create some kind of whitelisting facility down the line that would be required for the holders of these fan tokens so as to prevent the use of these in any shady stuff.

First of all, I must say that I'm in total support for the Ethershift team, as I think this is a really cool idea.
Reading the details on the Ethershift and looking at the timeline, the next in line following the completion of the main sale part 2 is the announcement of the ICO if I'm correct.  What I would like to know if possible is if there is a fixed date already and if so when would the announcement happen?

Hi, I do think that they should start announcing the ICO as this is what the roadmap here: https://ico.ethershift.co/
indicates but I'm not sure of the actual date  Cheesy

Dates of the ICO are shown in the website. Stage is now live. It has started from December 3rd and the end date is December 16th.

My bad, yeah, you're right it is also clearly stated on the ico rating webite Shocked

259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at 4500$-5000$ August-September 2018 !!! on: August 17, 2018, 09:06:29 PM
Think I am crazy when I say that the cue ball will be 4500-5000$ for August-September! Can be! Do not argue! But my opinion is the place to be and here's why.

Dude, your pessimism is very big

1) Institutions do not want to buy a cue ball for a high price.

How do they know the price is high?

2) according to the latest CBOE reports , mega whales are sitting in shorts.

they are not sure about it

4) analysis of the cue ball for 2014. He fell exactly 10 times! Therefore, from the previous highs ($20,000) ,the cue ball should fall to$ 2000 (but this is the Scam). Therefore 4500-5000$ I think it is real!

Do not compare this year with past years, because you may already have realized that there is a great difference of this years with the past years

What do you think about this ?

People are focusing a lot on the price and this because they think that the price should rise to $ 20,000, so as the price is not going up people get frustrated. But what if the $6000 corresponds to the current demand? No one to think about that.

The first point, makes absolute sense, no corporations want to touch BTC but even so the spirit of BTC has always been within the power of its investors and By this September if ETF approves BTC/crypto this value analysis will not hold as the market will rise but  of course, there's a chance it may go the other way  Cry
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: August 14, 2018, 10:45:18 PM
I believe in ETH, as the second largest coin in cryptocurrency, nothing much can happen to it, there is potential Future

I do, and even now when there are many people with their arms up to the dip ETH just got but I think its part of the bear market BTC has been struggling with for quite some time.
