Hard to argue with the S1's being cheaper, I clocked one of my S1's down to 200 which brought speed down to 107 GH/s but also dropped power to equivalent with S2's W/GH. Knowing that it would seem S1's will be viable just as long as S2's. That is unless mod'ing can get us more then 1100 reliably. As far as rack space goes, I have been able to mount 6 antMiners within a 4U case, reversing the fans on "hotside" of cabinet, cut the BLUE wire to fans, and have seen NO meaningful heat differences between "coldside" and "hotside" of the cabinet. To be clear I am running 6 S1's within the same vertical foot print as 1 S2, so even when the time comes to under clock the S1's, the S1's will produce 1200 GH/s for the same 4U's..

I would think the Read/Write speed of the class 10 allows the BB to boot smoothly on the USB 2.0 bus. Hope Bitmaintech is making that change @ the factory, could not be much cost as they can handle bulk purchases of class10 microSD's

@ 23+ days withholding refunds KnC should be MUCH lower grade, they have been waffling, excusing, and BS'ing for the last month should be .5 higher then BFL and no more, IMHO  |

Looking at my reseller figures, I'd hazard a guess that they've just done a shed load of refunds. Anyone care to confirm?
I can confirm they have been HOLDING my refund for 23+ days now. I can confirm they have completely ignored my request, save the "status" change to "Refund ready for process". I can confirm they have had my Swift banking &/OR BTC account for 23+ days. I can confirm that KnC is far and away the shit-eating-est manufacturer, YES even worse then Inaba and BFL (They actual did ship, albeit 11 months late, I am running their equipment). KnC totally Phucked their customers and in a LAST ditch effort to save their A$$E$ are doubling the hash of devices, oh how very Hashfast of them. In conclusion KnC is the BFL of '14, BFL is the Hashfast of '14, and BitMainTech is the ONLY manufacturer that is giving miners(US) a chance @ ROI. |

I LOVE my antMiner Products.I own 12 S1's and an S2 -- ALL run to spec and S2 had minor issues upon arrival due to HOW FAST they ship. 3 DAYS! from China to Mid-west, USA unreal, what a world. BitmainTech does get busy, but their delivery rate and ON TIME performance suggests they are busy working to satisfy ME.. or yews.. BitmainTech is 100% miner friendly,IMHO..  |

Ebay is not that good anymore either. Basically I hope that infrastructure/utilization will increase, increasing fees to miners and that will in the long run == more then just buying and holding. In the present we have soo many manufacturers in "delay" that it is NOT worth pre-order as the "odds" are against it. IMHO this hardware industry is about to fall on it's face and miners(GHS) will become dirt cheap as the greedy phucks realize their dreams will not be and need to pay the bills. I will be waiting to help bail them out @ a 90% discount of course.

Neither miner is profitable @ $450/BTC
antMiner S1 is the only one that comes close to being worth firing up if you intend on converting BTC immediately. IMHO it is best to buy BTC and hold wait for these A$$-Hat manufacturers to get over themselves, then buy GHS for pennies as that is their value without a serious BTC rebound.

KNC said in their recent announcement that they will stand by and support their loyal customers, and I believe them.
At the moment the mistakes are piling up, due to bad management. Logical KnC is doing everything to make it right and save their soul. Sure I believe they will try, but still people are suffering hard due to their lack of profession. Which is not fair at all! Not keeping promises, keeping information behind etc. does not fit within the picture of a trusted and proper corporate governance. Is it rational to be loyal to them? Well maybe it is, when people are blind for it. Corrow, there are as many sides to this issue as there are people involved. If I had skin in this game, which I don't, I'd see KNC as the best bet on the block right now, despite recent problems. No skin in the game?
