21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SP10 Ignites!!! on: March 02, 2015, 01:25:40 AM
Now you are just being silly comparing an SP-T miner to an AM. Also use imgur for pics...yours are proxy blocked.

I wish I was, thank GOD I was on site when it went up. There were visible flames as I reached to pull the plug.

Sorry for the technical diff..  had file permissions set wrong, vpn is under repair..
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SP10 Ignites!!! on: March 02, 2015, 12:50:55 AM
there goes buying a SP31

"i'm not buying GEN2 because GEN1 had an issue"

like...

"i'm not eating steak because the chicken is bad"

 Cheesy

LOL Raskul, I am not buying it because they are over priced, which was "excused" because they were a "better" built piece of hardware. I NO longer believe that and in fact I would say these POS are REALLY EXPENSIVE AM Tube dangerous.

So anyone from SP-T see the problem?  This machine was running in a Rack with 29c intake temps, on 220v power.
23  Bitcoin / Hardware / SP10 Ignites!!! SP-T responds with lightning speed! on: March 01, 2015, 10:40:14 PM
I have 2 SP10's, 1 was a slow corner the other a fast corner model. Today I found the fast corner idol, upon reboot I noticed a strange glow coming from the intake. Yep she was a blaze, intake temps are 29c as always so it was not excessive heat, looks like the advertisement as a "professional" piece of equipment was ALL hype. At less then 10 months of operations and she is up in smoke, to date I have 30 antMiner products NOT a single fire yet. SP-T has joined the ranks of "Fire-starters"..  Ugh what a let down, there goes buying a SP31 and now I have to worry about my remaining SP10 and SP20.

Pics to come, have to feed the family before tear down.
24  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Prisma Compensation and Buy-back Plan on: February 03, 2015, 03:11:56 PM

It's a generic buy-back, not a selective one.

FUCK YOU FC!!!!!!

Hello,
Sorry for the so long delayed reply.

Our Buy-back Plan just aims to Prisma, not inlcuding Tube. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Sounds pretty God Damn selective to me.

scum-bag moron

Yes, there seems to be a contrast in statements here.
perhaps AM would like to prove their commitment to the community and issue the refund in a generic manner to whonesta.
i feel this would be beneficial to all parties concerned.  Roll Eyes

ROFLMAO....  good one..

Well NO generic buy back for me. I got 0.6040288 BTC refund (9.7083 purchase price) on 40 boards, 4 of which were turds. I just received a USED/Dirty replacement unit of which 1 board is dead as a door nail. AM, Friedcat, and Phasebird dropped the ball BIG-time on these two products. I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING AM AGAIN! The most unprofessional manufacturer BARE NONE!

Anyone reading these threads needs to BE WARNED they are crawling with AM shareholders and shills. Their ONLY interest is to sell GARBAGE in the hopes they can make a profit off their worthless AM shares.

DO NOT buy from this company!

That is f^cking awesome!
Go Asicminer!!

U R A POS, hang yourself you shill!

Wow!  How could I have missed this post?
Asicminer is one of the best companies in the Bitcoin mining hardware business and I've dealt with many of them.
I get paid nothing for my views and have never been paid anything for my sig.  So I might be a POS but I'm not a shill.  I have a feeling your nature gets in the way of successfully dealing with your RMA.  Why don't you post the e-mails you have written to AM for RMA along with the details of your purchase and I'll try to help you out and direct them to where they should go.

I have dealt with them ALL since 2010, and AM is by far the WORST manufacturer I have dealt with. Oh yeah even BFL,  BFL stood behind their product and PAID FOR RETURNS and had a CLEAR RMA process. AM has gone to SH!T since the Turd(tube), it was a cluster fuck before but this is just dangerous. They need to stay with USB sticks, seems overheating chips is their forte.

Okay well now I am at 4 failed boards so I can NOW "afford" to ship them back. Please advise as to the RMA process so I can get these turds, um boards replaced and this equipment sold out of my mine.

PM'd

You sent it to the wrong address, UGH!

you shipped to 52720...  somewhere in IOWA...

Anyway thanks... MAYBE get it net week.

A second board has "fried" I have not been to DC yet to see what happened but she is out like a light.

Well after disassembling them, reversing the "handles", and adding another fan I have gotten the under performers to step up 10-15%. As for the burned up board, I am NOT going to pay $100+ to ship this card back, that is retarded. These heat mongers will barely ROI as it is to double the price would make that impossible. Here are the shipping quotes below;

Please advise...

Out of 40 boards 10 are severely under performing and I had 1 start on fire today.

Please Advise on how to RMA these defective/dangerous boards?
[NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE]

I ordered on 8/14/2014 to address 1NNRhkL7yWRCZHTGsqbZEwsAezcSK5d7BL for 9.7083 BTC

Any idea "when" they will ship?

I would like to get some info about the noise level ... the specifications says ~20 DB at 25 °C ambient temperature ... is this true and is this at max load @160 GH/s? Is it equipped with some high quality 80mm fan that adjusts speed in accordance with the temperature?

Marto could probably answer you over here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=875392.0

Marto is a known theif and technobit is a scam, regardless of any deals with SP-T Marto is a shit-bagger. While the agreement does alter my view of SP-T, business is business, hope he does not rip them off too..

As for noise I am running at ambient of 35c with basic settings on Turbo (90% fan) and the SP20 is no louder than a S3+ in same condition. The fan noise is however a deeper pitch which does make it more pleasant.

SP-T +100 - POS Marto & Technobit -1000000.

RECEIVED!!

Booted and running @ 1565 + in test lab (35c), OC once I get her to the DC.
32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: December 03, 2014, 06:39:06 PM

Def. improvement over the SP10 process, but still have to wait for USC to decide if they want to inspect. Those guys are good at holding up commerce.

It you can't do this, then you need to find someone who can. Your lack of communication has pretty much destroyed AM's reputation in my opinion.

Well, I think you are right in so far as it did actually hurt AM's track record or reputation. But not nearly as much as other manufacturers or vendors suffered! The mere fact that they roll out this reimbursement plan show that they care about their customers and are in for the long run. They really do care about their honesty, it seems. I think it's a great sign.

SHILL!! ASICMiner is dead in my books, NEVER again. Phuck friedcat for designing this POS and then selling it to morons to man/dis. can you say ignore, just like Marto and Inaba deaf ears hear none of your future lies.

responses by shills not needed, you guys make me sick, scum-bags!!! Yes you Homer & hdpuck, this is anything but awesome this is the LEAST they could do to save their sinking ship full of garbage parts. I will save my judgement on how awesome it is until AFTER my comp is calculated.

Label created, email sent, update once I get response/compensation/return of boards.
38  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Tube Sales Information Thread [Round4, Price at <1btc per TH/s] on: December 03, 2014, 05:48:08 PM
Update on 2014-12-02:

Compensation scheme for previous buyers&customers:

Due to a lot of problems (factory`s faults + bugs of controllers + delivery damages) ,we have received so far a lot of user feedback, focusing on saying that our miners are in unstable working conditions/cannot start hashing at all,or even got burned.

We apologize here again for all inconvenience we possibly brought to you.

We are solving the problems by changing factories, strengthening the tests, debugging our firmware ..etc ,at the moment, things are going well, our new batch of Prisma are under test and working well so far.

The compensation scheme for all previous benefit-lost-buyers caused by quality problems of our Prisma miners is the following:

1. All problem products such as hashing boards, controllers, fans, data wires are changable. Please mail them to this address:

ADD:UNIT 10-11,20/F.,RICKY CENTRE,36 CHONG YIP STREET,KWUN TONG,KOWLOON,HONG KONG.
TEL:00852-35688889
Contacts:MISS  LI

(We will surely cover the shipping fees but please help disassembling the heat sinks, which is the most heavy and expensive part for shipping, and keep them with you.)

2. A sum of compensation fee will be given to all broken miners buyers. Calculation method follows: (Theoretical daily income with your broken boards of Prisma`s hashrate - actual daily income with real hashrate) * Number of days between the date you received your old Prismas to the date you will have received replaced boards again. Each prisma board is calculated as 287W and 350GH/s. The electricity fee is calculated as 0.1$/KWH.

BTW:We will account your compensation fee with a calculater such as this one: http://www.iasicminer.com/index.php/action-channel-name-counteren

We will check the real hashrate of your broken Prisma boards shipped back.

We can only do it after you receiving your new boards because we can not know your receiving day in advance.

You can get your compensation fee by email us to sale@bitquan.com with the following information and format:

* Personal info,shipping address,tel number
* Date of buying our Prisma
* Your previous individual/exclusive btc payment address
* Number of broken Prsima boards (have to be fit well with the number you shipped back)
* Date you received your miners, date of shipping back
* The picture of the shipping label with the shipping price on it
* Your btc receivable address (it will be best to be the one you paid to us before)

If you bought from resellers, please do this with them directly.
If you were our big buyers (100+ sets order) or resellers, and your broken boards are more than 20 boards per 400 boards, please contact us through email directly.‍

I assume they mean TUBES?? what is the comp. for TUBES?

This is less then optimal, but something is better than 800GH/s of useless hardware.
39  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Prisma (>=1.4 T/device, 0.75-0.78 W/G, <1 BTC/T, October Shipping) on: November 17, 2014, 09:06:48 PM

I would be happy if someone from asicminer would just offer me replacement of the bad boards. I've lost downtime but it will be more loss without any hashes. Overall this was more of a test run to see if it was worthy to order in bulk. The ones that do run, run well.

I had a board go out on a tube.
I contacted support and they told me to ship it back and they'd replace it.

My experience with AM support has been pretty amazing.

WOW, I have 4 bad boards I have emailed sales@, PM'd, etc..  NOTHING! Not to mention OH JOY I get to pay $100+ to ship back garbage that should have been bench tested. GR8 sales support right, right, sure, sure.. BS half-a$$ @ best and the hardware is junk.

Has anyone heard from FC or Phasebird? I have 4 dead boards and getting NO response from AM, did they finally collapse under the weight of their GIANT heads? 30PH/a month my A$$, ton of garbage boards shipped.
