241  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: November 18, 2022, 02:28:20 PM
Elon Musk had a little something to say about the Cybertruck today. He said the Cybertruck is something special that comes along once in a long while. I still say people aren’t familiar enough with the advancements in this vehicle that sets it apart. I think when these start hitting the road people are going to freak out. There just isn’t enough education on why it is shaped like it is. Too many people don’t get it yet.
The only thing with the design of it, it's quite possible that it doesn't pass safety regulations in many of the countries. Seems like the US will be fine, but it was pulled from the UK for a reason, and I imagine it's to do with the design of it. Protection is all well, and good for the driver/passengers, but colliding with one of these is going to devastate any other car.

So, unless they come up with another version for the EU to pass safety regulations, I doubt this is going to be a reality in the UK.

I don't think it was ever confirmed why the pre-order was pulled from the UK but the reasons why was always just internet chatter and rumour. At the current state it probably shouldn't be up for any pre-order given that there's no set in stone production date and it could and likely will be vastly different from the prototypes. I think the pre-order thing was more of a publicity stunt and to garner hype rather than a genuine pre-order anyway. I'd bet half of the people who actually put the $100 down probably wouldn't have gone through with the actual purchase given the deposit was refundable as well.

Than how are all the trucks getting passed safety regulations?

Trucks are allowed there's just more stringent safety standards over here. I think it's more to do with things like crumple zones etc and given the car is still essentially a prototype I'm not sure how people know how safe or what standards it will or wont pass etc so it was all just chatter. I thought I read somewhere that bullbars were banned in the UK but after a quick search it seems that's in fact not true, so if they're allowed along with other trucks there are surely some ways to make it work. It still might be ok anyway. Either way I'm sure Elon could come up with a way to make an EU compliant one. He's said the truck will be smaller than the original designs and that was probably one of the biggest issues for Europe as the roads are just too small over here.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: November 18, 2022, 02:05:40 PM
Good to see the discussion thread. Any outright prediction of who will be the Champion? I understand everyone will favour their home team or at least favourite team but who deserves the trophy? I do not watch international football and it's hard for me to make good calls LOL

Never easy to predict. Brazil are probably the best team on paper and are certainly the bookies favourites. I'd really like to see Portugal v Argentina (or Messi v Ronaldo as the media will paint it) in the final and it can happen but both teams will have to get through some tough opposition like Brazil and Germany for Argentina. Portugal look to have the easiest route to the final assuming they finish top of their group but they will probably have to get past France who were obviously the previous winners.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 18, 2022, 01:56:10 PM
I said even before the start of the season he would have left if he could have got a contract sorted out in time before the transfer window closed and it looked like both him and Man U would have preferred that but it just didn't happen as there's few clubs who can afford his wages. I'm sure he'll go in the next window though. He's kind of forced their hand now so they'll probably let him go at a cut rate or even a loss especially if they would just be benching him otherwise. I think the window opens on the first of Jan so with the World Cup happening in a few days I'm sure his agent will be busy behind the scenes trying to get a deal done.

I'm even thinking of a mutually terminated contract ? That could work too, probably the best case scenario imho, since he's bound to leave freely next summer right ? I guess that could be the best option for Man United, because I'm sure any team willing to get Ronaldo now would try not pay any type of transfer fee given his enormous wages and the circumstances surrounding both parties, and benching Ronaldo all season long would affect both parties too, because Ronaldo would have to get paid regardless, but himself not playing any competitive game for more than 6 months would it's adverse effect on him too.

Yeah, I guess so but Ronaldo would probably come out on top with that deal as he will likely just move on to the same wages or maybe take a little pay cut and United will be out untold millions if they let him go for free, though maybe they'll agree to terminate his contract but the club he leaves for has to either buy him or compensate them.

When does his contract expire? I'd say that's the most likely option out of all the options, run down his contract, and he finds a new team after that fact. I do feel for the fans, and Ronaldo. He's been hushed out, but the fans have basically lost a legend. They basically idolized him, and I'm not sure if that'll be the case after this since he didn't just come after the owners, he seemed to come after some previous team mates too, which I found a little odd.

It was probably on a per season basis, but I don't think either parties want to be where they are now and both will want to be out of the door. You can't really disrespect a club like that and expect to keep your place. What he's done is pretty much unprecedented, and if they allow it it sets a very bad precedent for the future so they kind of need to get rid of him. Ronaldo doesn't want to be there and United don't want him or can't really keep him now so he probably needs to go. I'm sure both the club and his agent are going to be using this month plus break to get a deal done.

I can't really see him as a manger either and I don't think he'd make a good pundit  Grin.
Great players rarely make good managers; he may end up as a pundit on Sky Sports, which is full with controversial ex-players.

He's not really a good talker though so I can't see him as a pundit. The money isn't good either. Maybe he will do one off things but being a pundit almost certainly isn't where he will end up.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 17, 2022, 09:12:28 PM
You simply can't talk such things when you're still part of club, it's just not professional. And what he said about Garry Neville and especially Rooney just because they criticize him looked so bad. They can't criticize you just because they were your teammates?
I don't believe that MU can terminate contract after this interview. I read that Ronaldo may get £1 million penalty from club, it's something like 2 weeks wage for him.
And I'm sure that there is still plenty of clubs who still would like to have Ronaldo, they just don't have that much money. What isn't allowed for other players is OK for Ronaldo.

Terminating him would cost Manchester United a fortune, but the two weeks' salary penalty (the FA's maximum punishment for a player) plus him sitting on the bench until he finds a new club would suffice. No serious club would want him in their dressing room after what has happened with him, his performance has diminished, he would only be valuable to clubs who want him for business interests.

A lot of clubs will still gladly take him but I'm sure his recent behaviour will make some clubs hesitant or make them think twice now. I think he has to be careful with his attitude because at the tail end of his career it might force him to retire early if he can't get the big clubs and at his age I think he's going to go downhill fast and a lot of teams won't want the risk along with the high price tag. I really can't ever see Ronaldo playing for some shitter like a lot of greats past their prime end up doing so if he can't play for a prestigious club he will probably have to retire unless he goes back to Portugal to his boyhood team. I'm not sure what he'd do after football. I can't really see him as a manger either and I don't think he'd make a good pundit  Grin.

I don't think there is any way back for both parties from this outburst, I think Ronaldo knew exactly what he was doing and waited for the World Cup Break before having the interview and going against all those that have at some point rated him as the best player in the history of football simply because he won't bring himself to admit that there's been a decline in his performance and age is eventually catching up with him, I believe these are those times when you just need to keep quite and try to up your game and prove them wrong, everyone have been at the stage at one point or the other and Ronaldo ego makes him believe he is immune to critics, and his antics even when on the pitch shows all he's about is just his goals and not the team at large, so he's fine with calling people out and referring to his personal accolades but wouldn't accept he's no longer that person.

Guys, while we are waiting for World Cup and there won't be EPL action until Christmas, what do you think about Ronaldo interview? It's shocking that ppayer talk such things about club when he is still part of it. IMO, player can't be bigger than club and it's no matter who he is. Even Ronaldo. What he does expect, to play 38 games from start until final whistle? And it doesn't matter how he is playing.
Though, he said some right things, like that MU is a mess. It will be interesting to see full version of interview. Main question now - where he will go this winter?
It is not the way to do it but it is what it is. What baffles me most is that he wanted to go away during summer transfer window, why the hell didn't United get rid of him? I don't think anybody is that naive to think Ronaldo will sit on bench and be grateful for opportunity to play last 15 minutes. You know what you get with him, a world class striker a bit of his prime and enormous ego. Either use him or get rid of him, there isn't anything option for compromise here.

Easier said than done. I'm sure both Ronaldo and United wanted him gone but you can't just quickly offload one of the worlds most expensive players on a whim especially when pretty much all of the clubs that can afford him will have already blown their budgets on other players. It looked like they were trying to sort out a transfer right up until the season started but United wouldn't have let him go for free and likely wouldn't have wanted to lose much money on him either so that will have complicated things. Most clubs can't even afford to pay his wages either. Ronaldo also isn't going to go to another team unless it's a top club so I don't think there was many if any options. I'm sure his main criteria was the team had to be in the Champions League so that narrows it down even more. It's going to be interesting seeing what happens to him now. Can United really keep him after what he's said? Will they fully bench him for the rest of the season or could they even just terminate his contract? This situation is pretty much unprecedented. How will this effect his World Cup? If he plays shit I'm sure a lot of clubs won't be interested in signing him and after this debacle are they going to want to take on such a risk with all the drama that comes along with it? What happens if he has a great world cup or Portugal even win it? Will teams be clamouring to sign him or will he manage to make amends with United during the tournament? I think this incident is certainly going to overshadow the event.

I think we can stop calling them Chelski now as the mad Russian has gone and sold the club.  Sad

They will always be Chelski  Cheesy. Funny how all it took was one war to change things. How long it is before people turn their attention to Saudi ownership and go after them? I wonder how long it will be if ever that fan ownership starts to become a thing and they buy their clubs back from the owners and the fans become the shareholders. It won't happen with the big teams as they will be too expensive but it could happen with the smaller ones and would be an interesting experiment.

Yes, why won't it ever be Chelski, right? Not going to let the stains of one event ever wipe that memory out ha. Yeah, apart from Newcastle fans having a jibe (and then getting told off) with Sheikh costumes, seems all that's gone into the background again.

Liverpool many years ago during the Hicks/Gilett cluster, I remember distinctly looked for signatures to try a Barcelona-esque supporter share system but I'm not sure that even really works (looking at where Barca are these days debt wise).

FC United of Manchester just won the Fenix trophy, for an evolving use case of clubs owned by disenfranchised fans.

I'm not fully sure how the Barca model works but I don't think they're really fan-owned but more that the members of the fan club vote for who they elect for the board etc. It's probably like any other election with the illusion of democracy. You get the choice to vote for the idiot in charge but you don't get a say in the decisions they make until the next election when you can vote them out and some other corrupt idiot gets a chance. I'm not sure how Barca could get themselves into so much debt if they were truly fan owned unless their fans are constantly voting to take out stupid loans to buy players that saddle them with unpayable debt forever. There needs to be a shake-up of the entire system but I doubt that will ever come and the damage has already been done now so you can't really undo it all.
247  Other / Meta / Re: Could This Help To Reduce Spam? on: November 11, 2022, 12:05:48 PM
This would be useless and doesn't tackle the root of the problem. People would just lock the thread and then create a new one once it has hit the 1k pages and lost the signature. It would also be counter-productive on valuable threads that have only lost their signature because of some arbitrary limit. If a thread is useless of spammy then it should be locked or trashed or more importantly if people are being paid en masse to make low quality posts then those campaigns should be punished. I've been saying for years signature campaigns could actually help the quality of discussion if they only paid for good posts but if they're paying for any old shite then of course people will abuse it. Unless you tackle the root of the problem then you're just trying to plug holes on a sinking ship and people will just find a way around some restriction you put upon them.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 08, 2022, 12:17:25 PM
Honestly, this season just feels so discombobulated. The World Cup hasn't even started yet. I've been away for a few weeks, which is obviously contributing to that feeling, but honestly I thought it was a complete mess before then. It just seems no team right now, can keep their form. Arsenal, and City probably being the only exceptions there.

It just feels like everyone else is all over the place in terms of form. Liverpool obviously being the most obvious. I didn't see the game, but beating City, and then losing against probably the worst side in the Premier League? It doesn't really make all that much sense.

Seems a lot of teams are struggling with injuries too. I don't know, very difficult season to actually predict anything in my opinion.

I think this is the third wooden spoon I've got this season. I went for a lot of draws this week and narrowly missed out on a few of them with a couple late goals ruining them.

I think we can stop calling them Chelski now as the mad Russian has gone and sold the club.  Sad

Anyway Arsenal!  I'm starting to see some comments online saying Arteta as something like a football tactical genius.  But is he?  I'm kinda back and forth about it.  He's a decent manager at the very least and the thing is Guardiola saw something in him when he made Arteta his assistant at City, grooming him to be his replacement at the time.

I guess the biggest test of the season for Arteta is going against his mentor.  :/

They will always be Chelski  Cheesy. Funny how all it took was one war to change things. How long it is before people turn their attention to Saudi ownership and go after them? 249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: October 31, 2022, 10:06:45 AM
Weird first round from Silva. Looked like he wasn't even arsed and he only threw two punches or something, but then comes out like a different animal in the second round. Jake didn't look troubled too much but he has got a decent chin on him as he took a couple of big hits from Silva but wasn't fazed.

This looked like two journeymen fighting. Paul is still not even remotely close to being a legitimate contender. He called out Canelo. Maybe he is delusional enough to think that he can beat him but the only possible outcome will be a vicious and devastating knockout where he is on the losing end.

That's all talk for now. If he was going to be fighting Canelo it would likely be at the end of his career when he's past his best. He's just throwing names out their for headlines.

I think Silva should consider turning pro and fighting fighters that are on the top standing, he can't be doing this forever since he is improving might as well take a shot at fighting real boxers in top standing, I'm sure he can still attract viewers.

This was Silva's third pro fight. He's not going to be challenging for titles at his age. He will just do one off money fights like this one when the price is right.

~
I read that he drops Silva in the last round and he won in the judges scorecard, good for him.

Maybe he will go for another retired MMA fighter next.
It was a good fight and Jake Paul was able to knockdown Anderson Silva in the last round with a counter and i wished it was a 12 round bout and Jake Paul improved a lot and now i would like to fight against legit boxers even though majority of the boxers are ducking him. In the post fight interview he called out Nate Diaz and that is the route it will be going as Nate Diaz also showed interesting in boxing.

It's a shame it wasn't 12 rounds. Jake would have likely finished him off for sure but maybe it was for the best at 8. Jake gets the knock down and win and  Silva doesn't take too much damage. It was nice to see the respect shown at the end as it looked like it was getting a bit spicy in the ring a few times.

Nate Diaz was already planned long before Silva and Paul's fight was finalized.  Him calling Nate, is just like announcing who he'd be fighting next.

Nate wouldn't be a bad fight for him. He's tough but not unbeatable and I think that fight puts him one step closer to a McGregor fight. I'd still like to see Jake against Tommy Fury so I'm hoping that will happen at some point as as least he's a current pro boxer his age so that should shut a lot of people up.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2022, 08:12:37 PM

But yeah..  This round of matches looks like it's easier to predict than the last couple match days.  Good luck to everybody.

Famous last words. The match-ups this week did seem easier to pick for me but I've thought that before and done terribly.

So you guys think Leicester can get a goal in vs City or is there some value in City win to nil at 2.32?

They could for sure and I've picked them to get one seeing as they've managed to get two decent results on the bounce but City are a different animal. Home advantage will be a plus but I don't think I'd put money on them to score.

I'm wondering if Liverpool will slaughter Leeds? Could be messy at Anfield but they're coming off that shocking loss to Forest. Does that mean they'll be bouncing back with a bang or are they going to struggle to score?

Oh, make sure to look out for the World Cup pool in Games and Rounds soon. Should be active over the weekend.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: October 28, 2022, 08:03:36 PM
Anderson Silva had to walk back comments he made today in an interview when he said his sparring partner had knocked him out twice in last Friday’s sparring session. He now says that he misspoke because English is not his native language. Apparently there were some concerned individuals that were considering having Silva pull out of the fight. True or not, it sounds like Silva has been getting his ass kicked by his sparring partner. Good news for Jake Paul fans I guess. I just hope when all is said and done that Silva is happy and healthy.

This fight isn't technically licensed pro boxing is it? I'm assuming that the rules for exhibition stuff like this versus official pro-boxing are different in terms of concussion protocol stuff.  If he really did get knocked out twice by his sparing partner, one, he probably shouldn't be fighting period, and two..that's some scary concussion stuff to have to worry about.  However I guess at the end of the day all these guys know they are taking huge risk for having mush for brains in their latter years.

It's a pro bout. Silva has also recently been fighting as a pro and won both his fights last year, the last being against Tito Ortiz so I don't think you have to worry about Silva. As for getting knocked out in sparring I'm sure that even happens to the best of the best but they probably usually keep quiet about it if so. Not the best of looks to admit to it but maybe he did misspeak or he and his camp are just backtracking.

I would not say that Anderson Silva can be called as old. For example there are plenty of MMA fighters aged 45+ that still are active. For a professional sport Silva is old, that is true, peak form has gone long time ago. But for such a semi professional fight, I would say he is still good. It depends on fighters daily routine. If he trains just for few months and spends rest of the time chilling, then 47 y.o. Silva is old. But as he is active all the time (training and as a coach), than he is not old for me.

What fighters? There's really not that many and I don't think there's any in the UFC that are that age or even near it. Once you're pushing 40 you just can't keep up with the kids no matter how great you are and Silva is nearer 50. MMA is just too taxing on the body to competitively compete at that age, hence why a lot go to boxing at the tail end of their careers.
252  Economy / Reputation / Re: What Happen if bitcointalk member pass away? on: October 26, 2022, 08:14:53 AM
There is sad news in our local forum, a member who has active in long time ago died. ~ pandukelana2712 ~

I do not know exactly him even have read his post and his thread. so what makes me interested is, what happen with his lending, does he still have to pay?, give it up?.

I don't think so, because in my habit, if someone died, usually a lot of people on neighbors give it up,
but another financial company ask for heirs to pay it off.

Thanks alot.

You can't make a dead man pay anything unless there's some sort of contract involved that accounts for these sorts of situations so it will be up the people who he owes money to try track it down but I doubt that will be very fruitful unless he put some safeguards in place or left instructions to his next of kin on what to do. How do you know he actually passed away? Is there any public records of his death or is this info just someone else has passed on. Has anyone thought that this could just be a convenient way of getting out of paying his debts? Of course anyone can die at any time but when most of us are anonymous here it's not that hard to fake your own death or simply just log off the site and pretend so.

The deceased had already entrusted funds to his partner to pay off his debts before he died I think it was the obligation of his colleague to pay them off immediately, and I read that his colleague also said that he would pay off even one of the reasons he created an account on this forum (if I am not mistaken) was to clear this matter, so nothing to be debated.

Did it get paid?
253  Other / Meta / Re: Abolish the Merit system and bounty threads on: October 26, 2022, 07:57:48 AM
The laughable state of this forum, I've been reading this website since at least 2014, most active during 2015-2016 and the website is just unreadable at this point. 99% of the posts are from bounty hunter spammers

Too many Legendary accounts!
There seem to be hundreds of legendary accounts and they have all got there through some sort of merit cartel as far as I can see. just spam enough pointless repetitive posts to get to legendary status? Back when I first started reading, legendary status used to mean something, it meant that poster had something useful to contribute. Now it just means they merited themselves with an alt or they bought sMErits online and they spammed the forum enough times.

The thing that grinds my gears the most is that there are legendary accounts with a join date of less than a year ago, and here's my account which is operated by a normal user, who has contributed to actual discussion about actual real issues since 2015 with a Senior member level LOL!

A lot of what you said is just factually incorrect. Back when you first started reading all the Legendary rank meant was that that person had made at least one post every two weeks for two years. The merit system was introduced to stop people just farming accounts by logging on once a fortnight to make a mere shitpost just to collect the activity. Today, it's very unlikely you would be able to achieve Legendary rank by merely shitposting. You actually have to have a lot of posts that are worthy of meriting to get the 1000 merit needed. It's actually a fairly decent system as it means you don't move up the ranks by merely posting rubbish. Of course, like any system or preventative measure it isn't perfect but it does its job for the most part.

I would agree that there are too many shitposters and legendary accounts though. A higher post-Legendary rank should be implemented that requires a very large amount of merit to really sort the wheat from the chaff.

Since your activity is below Legendary requirement (775), first thing that you would have to change is to post more consistently and you might reach Legendary rank, evenbtually.

Why not just abolish all these ranks entirely and have reputation based on, you know, actual reputation not a "reputation system" which exists just to be gamed by a cartel

What makes you think that also wouldn't be gamed? Anything that can be abused will be. All you will have is people then farming reputation. People already do that by doing deals or taking out loans with the right people they otherwise don't want or need just to repay it and collect a nice green feedback. Rinse and repeat. The merit system is already somewhat reputational based as it means that a decent amount of people have thought your posts were worthy of meriting.

the site admin should abolish all this corrupt nonsense and just have ads, that means its a level playing field and no corruption. You still make money. You think having thousands of beggars making pointless posts will make the forum better? this is now a low quality forum with low quality users.

If there's money involved then there will be corruption involved somewhere down the line. It's also not a level playing field as those with the most money and deeper pockets get to advertise whilst others are potentially priced out. I do agree something should be done about all the shitposters though and there should be repercussions for those people who make low quality posts and for the campaign mangers who don't do their job properly and pay for it. The forum would be a much better place very quickly if poor campaign managers were held accountable.

Jon Jones just tweeted that he's preparing to fight stipe in December: https://twitter.com/JonnyBones/status/1584987131524812801

I'll believe that when I see it. I hope he fights this year though so they can set up a match between him and Ngannou. Both will need tune up fights for that though.

Looks like Khamzat Chimaev v Colby Covington is in the works for UFC 285 as well and the winner gets a title shot. I think that will be a good match up. Colby will give him a good match up but Chimaev is too good right now.

Well I was watching the fight with 3 friends and we all agreed that Sean won that fight because his strikes were on point every time when Petr had only ground control and a few important strikes. Ground control won't win you the fight anymore if  you don't finish the job or put massive pressure on the opponents and Sean was able to survive every time he was on the ground without taking massive hits. It was tight, I won't say that , but Sean had that 0.5% extra percent that won him the fight. Smiley Anyway , Yan really did a good job but not well enough.
Petr was good when the fight turned into wrestling, otherwise O'Malley was better, he had longer arms and he hit Peter's face well. The beginning of the second round could been decisive, the exchange of blows and Petr knocked O'Malley to the floor, here he was supposed to end the fight, but he did not. The second round turned out to be tense, but in fact, Petr could not take advantage of the chances provided. In the third round, O'Malley landed some good shots and Petr's face was covered in blood, in fact Petr again could not do anything in this round. So I think O'Malley deservedly won this fight.

It was a close fight, but as you mentioned, Petr's face was covered in blood and O'Malley seemed to be the one landing the good strikes.  Petr really only hit O'Malley good once, which was enough to leave him looking like he was concussed in the post fight interview.  With a fight that close though, when one fighter's face is covered in blood and the other fighter seems to be landing the big shots and has the momentum, I'm not surprised the way the decision went.  I think if there was another round or 2, O'Malley might have been able to knock him out.  I'm not so sure I agree with everyone saying O'Malley won the first round though.  I think the first and second rounds went to Petr, but it's hard to discount all the major blows and blood landing on Petr...

Personally I think fights like this they should just give them a draw. I really couldn't pick a winner out of that fight at all. If you put a gun to my head and made me score it on points Yann should probably have won, but like people are saying Sean did more damage, but even he looked shocked when he announced it. Most people seem to be saying Yann was robbed though. I heard Joe Rogan say they should probably have more than three judges; somewhere between 5 and 10. Ten seems a lot but when it's just down to three they seem to get a lot of calls wrong and I'm sure favouritism plays a part in a lot of fights as well.

Congrats to Darbit and LFC_Bitcoin on the yellow cap,we are sharing this prize so pretty happy with the week. Didnt expect in the end three yellow caps but thats how intresting it was. Also too bad Bournemouth didnt score at least one goal they were playing so good in the end of the match but not much chances for them.

It was a terrible week for me in the pool, I was able to rack up just 4 points in total and I dropped by 5 places all the way to 15th, Kudos to all of you guys sharing the yellow cap because It wasn't an easy week and and 10.5 points as the joint best also shows how tough the week was on an average.

I was also rooting for Bournemouth to score a goal, I had BTTS on a bet slip and I also went with 2-1 in the pool, so it could have been a win-win situation had that happened.

It was a terrible week for most. I was one point away from my second wooden spoon of the season. Lots of upsets. Nobody predicted Liverpool losing and only one person backed the Arsenal/Southampton draw. Only one person backed Newcastle to beat Spurs as well. The chubby chipmunk-faced cunt that is Casemiro caused me from losing the exact score in injury time. Anyone who got more than a handful of points from this week did very well.

Will definitely betting on Anderson Silva, a true fighter. Indeed Jake Paul has the size advantage but experience Silva has, is something. Jake have shown improvement despite of his short career but I do really think that this could be an instance wherein things won't go easy for him. Silva is a veteran in this game and is not easy to be beaten even by his fellow fighters.Let us accept that Jake would be performing better over years, meaning, he's not ready for this fight yet. Odds are great as well to Jake which makes it more interesting to bet and win big time. This is exciting.

since it is an exhibition fight, we don't know exactly their fight rules here though it was stated in an article last month that fight rules is the same as under professional rules. however, how about proclaiming the winner? usually, they have prior arrangement how they proclaim the winner in an exhibition fight. if nothing else, those who are rooting for silva has better odds now that he is underdog. i hope silva will give us a good exhibition match.

It is not an exhibition match. It is a pro one. A winner will be announced just like it has in his all his other fights.

~
Yeah and we have been discussing that this fight is not going to be rigged in favor of Jake Paul and so to continue with his career in exhibition match.
FYI this is not an exhibition fight and it is a sanctioned professional bout and this is the 5th professional fight for Jake Paul.
Professional boxers signed the contract and then failed to show up for the fight. So Jake Paul being the promoter himself he needs to look for fights that are guaranteed and may be he took the fight against Anderson Silva because they come to fight and do not back out citing many reasons Wink.

Is there a belt on the line here, if this is not an exhibition match?
It means, it may be worth placing a bet as they should declare a winner for this fight.
Most exhibition matches ended up as a draw or no winner because there were no judges.
Silva at 2.x odds is nice if in case this one will be a professional one.
Jake Paul wants this exposure, chasing professional boxers, so I don't think he will back out for this match.
If in case he will win on this match, this will be a good boost in his boxing career.

For betting, your money, your rules but I don't really recommend to bet on this fight. We can't say for sure if it's rigged or not. Anyway, as I said, your decision mate Grin

Exactly! There are several good matches to put on your money on but not this match. Except for the reason that we don't know whether or not this match is rigged, this match is very unpredictable as well considering that the one is a washed fighter and the other is a YouTuber.
I also recommend to just bet on a professional match with the REAL boxers to it.

A lot of good matches about to go down late in October and early November, that includes Loma, Fury, and Bivol are some of the notable names.

What makes you think any of those fights aren't going to be rigged? The Fury fight might as well be since we all know who's going to win. I'd say Paul V Silva will be more exiting and unpredictable than that match up.

One week to go.

Yet people did not learn from these mistakes, they still bet hoping that this time will be different and there will be a winner that will be announced. It's really hard to see winners and losers from a fight that is participated by two famous fighters, even Jake Paul admitted that he's a fan and respects Anderson Silva ever since Jake's was still a kid. So that's already a sign that these two are only fighting for the money and the fight will result into a draw, I could be wrong, but the chances are not worth the risk.

I really wish people would stop with this nonsense. ALL fighters are just fighting for the money. You do know that a lot of fighters actually respect each other and it's not all actually kill or be killed. Half of the 'beefs' in combat sports are just manufactured or exaggerated to try cause hype and sell the fights anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z-oJTZ1b5Q

It's probably actually quite rare that fighters genuinely have a hatred for each other, and even the ones that do seem to generally dislike each other often hug it out after the fight. Jake has done the right thing here by being genuine about his appreciation of Silva rather than just trying to fake some conflict just for the sake of it. He's said he respects him but he's also going to KO him, and he will try his best to I'm sure. Jake could be fighting his own brother but he would still try to get the KO. Jake is on a roll and is unbeaten and he's going to want to keep adding to the hype train to try get that huge KSI/Connor/Mayweather fight. If he loses or puts in a poor performance his chances of making those fights diminish. If Jake gets another stellar KO then that's another clip for his highlight reel and he inches towards a megabucks fight with one of the aforementioned.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Fury v Chisora 3 3rd of December on: October 21, 2022, 01:05:50 PM

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyson_Fury_vs_Derek_Chisora_III

Is there no thread for this yet? Maybe nobody does actually want to see this  Cheesy.

Obviously just a tune up fight for Fury and looks like he just wants to add another trilogy to his belt (apparently nobody else has had two trilogies before), and also just giving Chisora a big pay day at the tail end of his career. It doesn't look like many people are all too excited for it and Chisora should be easy work for Fury but I guess I'd rather see him fight somebody at least than nobody at all. Chisora's corner threw in the towel late into the last match but I think Fury will get a KO earlier on much like his last fight against Whyte.

Daniel Dubois vs Kevin Lerena is also on the undercard. Maybe they'll try squeeze a Tommy fight on there too but given he's fighting next month it might be a bit too soon, but if not I'm sure there will be one of the other Fury clan members on the card.

What a bore fest in Premier League tonight. Don't remember when was the last time we had so little goals in a match day. Most of the games finishing 1:0 and only United looking like they actually want to score. Could have been even bigger win for them tonight. Spurs looking really bad and they can only than Lloris for being just 2:0 down.

My tickets in shambles of course, as expected when both to score fails as miserably as today.

Yeah, there were surprisingly few goals. I expected Liverpool and Newcastle to win by 2 or 3 and both ended 1-0.

Ronaldo is out from Manchester squad for this weekend, but could be permanent as well, due to Tottenham match behavior and leaving stadium early
it is a shame that they could not keep it together, and it could be seen quotes all over twitter regarding Fergusson biography, where he wrote that no player is bigger than the United

elsewhere, Fulham and Leicester are up 2:0 both

I was wondering why he was benched again after starting last week but I guess he didn't learn his lesson and was being a drama queen behind the scenes. Shame, because this could all affect his World Cup performance as that's less than a month away now. I'll be starting a pool for the World Cup soon so keep an eye out for that over in games and rounds but I'll link it here also when it goes live.

Roll Eyes. I think Elon should just concentrate on making a viable vehicle first without all this pie in the sky nonsense which will only delay the truck. Nobody needs a car that's also a boat but if he wants to waste time on that it's something he can think about as another addition after the actual truck is ready, but it's obviously just a fantasy at this point and he needs to concentrate on making sure the truck isn't one too. All he needs to do is get this thing road legal and in production and it's a mega win for him just as long as the it's not ludicrously priced so much so that nobody actually buys the thing.
