über was genau freust du dich?
wie bereits gesagt, für die miner bedeutet es nur zusätzliche investionen. für das bitcoinnetzwerk bringt es keine zusätzliche sicherheit - eher im gegenteil.
ich bin der letzte, der fortschritt im weg steht. aber das hier ist nur ein notwendiger, kein wirklich positiver fortschritt.
so wenig wie man wieder von splitterbomben zurückgehen kann zu schwertern, genausowenig kann man irgendeine andere miningtechnologie verwenden als die derzeit bestmögliche.
trotzdem gibts wohl niemanden, der im nachhinein rufen würde "yay! splitterbomben!"

forder bei paypal dein geld zurück. wirst du wohl auch kriegen, irgendwer mit einem gehackten paypal-account hat danach halt 70$ weniger.
10,38€ ist aber auch echt total lächerlich, viel offensichtlicher kann man einen scam kaum bringen.
für das kaufen kleinerer beträge würde ich instawire empfehlen.
informieren musst du dich schon selbst, zumindest soweit, dass du eine sinnvolle frage stellen kannst. viel grundlegendes steht im wiki, wenn nicht im deutschen, dann im englischen.

irgendwann muss mir nochmal jemand schlüssig erklären, wieso mining-spezifische themen überhaupt irgendeinen einfluss auf den kurs haben sollten...
im übrigen ist eigentlich sowieso jedem mit ein bisschen strategischem denkvermögen klar, dass die erfolgreiche entwicklung von asics eigentlich eine lose-lose-situation für miner darstellen würde. insofern sehe ich beim besten willen nicht, welche (realistischen) positiven erwartungen da enttäuscht werden könnten.

I think that the point was not that this particular company is especially significant but that we see this happening pretty much every day. Ever since WordPress hopped on board, the rate of new Bitcoin accepting merchants and organizations accepting Bitcoin donations has increased significantly.

mtgox hat bei der foundation die platinum membership bezahlt, das sind 10.000btc für ein jahr. meinst du, mark kapeles denkt beim wiki auch nur im entferntesten an die ca. einstelligen bitcoinbeträge, die dabei rumkommen mögen?
im übrigen bin gerade bei solchen themen echt der meinung, das moral was für leute ist, die sonst keine probleme haben. dir ist die kohle egal, mtgox ist die kohle egal, 99% aller potentiellen wikischreiber wirds genauso egal sein.
wenn du da wegen den paar cent, die eigentlich doch kein schwein wirklich interessieren, den untergang des abendlandes heraufbeschwörst, kann ich das einfach nicht ernst nehmen.

ich verstehe das problem ehrlich gesagt auch nicht. ihr betreibt da wegen <1euro prinzipienreiterei, anstatt einfach mal das große ganze zu sehen. das große ganze wäre hier: das wiki hatte ein massives spamproblem und das ist vermutlich für immer gelöst. das ist ein ergebnis, das captchas oder ähnliches einfach nicht leisten können. und das alles mit sehr geringem aufwand und dem einzigen nachteil, dass sich ein betrag von insgesamt vielleicht 50euro in die falsche richtung verschiebt.
dass mtgox das wiki hostet, ist schon eher ein problem, weniger wegen dem marginalen geldfluss, sondern eher weil man damit einen single point of failure hat. ich bin foundation mitglied, ich werde da mal anfragen, ob man nicht mal geld für das hosten des wikis lockermachen sollte.

Here are some current examples as of Jan 18th 2013 to be fair, your initial example didnt compare the exact same products and all your new example compare your prices with prices from a 3rd party selling on amazon, not amazon itself. that might not be lying but it leaves enough room for a little of the U and D in FUD. |

sociopath is a very bad term for this because it can either describe full blown anti- or dissocial personality disorder or just people who dont feel empathy. the ladder might be 4% of the population. but even from the former most arent the extremes the article describes. most are either just socially ackward or garden-variety assholes, not master manipulators.

wenn man annimmt, dass die anzahl der transaktionen weiter moderat steigt, ist 12gb am jahresende imho erstmal keine schlechte schätzung.
aber die rechner und internetanbindungen werden ja auch im mittel schneller, das fängt das zum teil ab. zusätzlich gibts bei der software noch etliches optimierungspotential. optimierte datenbank und indexierung kommt in 0.8. das ist der aktuelle flaschenhals und wird eine menge bringen. nächste baustelle wäre das relativ ineffiziente p2p-protokoll, einiges ist evtl. auch noch bei der verifikation rauszuholen.
ich tippe, wenn die blockchain am jahresende in etwa 12gb groß ist, dürfte bitcoin-qt vermutlich genauso lange für den ersten download brauchen wie jetzt.

"Common agreement" infers that people agreed with each other what to use as money. This never happened. It is not "common agreement" but a harmony of "individual preferences" which is almost the opposite of common agreement, and I think this is a very important distinction. Achieving common agreement among disparate people is very difficult, and often leads to squabbling. Markets are amazing in that through the differences in individual opinion, exchange ratios (prices) are arrived at, without anyone having to agree with anyone else beyond the specific individual trades and trading partners they deal with. "Community consensus" is not required, only narrow self-interest between two individuals. The magic of money then is that it might appear as though an entire society has agreed to use it, when nothing of the sort ever occurred. They use the specific money not because they agreed on it, but because their variant, disparate disagreements led to a distillation of bartering objects toward one or two narrow objects which are then called money. Maybe I'm being nitpicky, but I think it's important to see the difference here. imho you are either overly nitpicky or just wrong. the "individual preference" for gold for example, is largely a result of the fact that its universally accepted. for example, i have not much reason to prefer euro over dollar, except that i can pay with euro everywhere but not with dollar. of course, when gold developed from money candidate to money, its qualities were important. i think being shiny added a lot to its perceived value, too. but once you picked a reasonably suitable candidate, its qualities are not the reason for those individual preferences, but the fact that its universally accepted, which, in my opinion, is a community consensus. if the regionally accepted coins are fnurg, spengel and woot you accept fnurg, spengel and woot, because if you dont you cant sell anything. |
