241  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currencies on: October 22, 2019, 03:39:46 PM
Some say that dollar is weak and getting weaker.

But dollar is still strongest currency.

Look at the stable coins like : pax, usdc, usdt true usd and more...  They are pegged with usd.
But how many stable coins are for euro or other currencies?

As people spreading rumours that dollar will  collapse and losing dominance, i see different.

My main question is what makes usd so dominant?

And why the euro value is higher then usd but USA dollar is still dominant, do you think that usd will be replaced by euro?

What's Ur take on that?
Yes agree with you that dollar is the strongest currency but it has some reasons like dollar being the most used currency in international trade and to settle claims around the world. Moreover most of the countries maintain reserves with them in respect to dollar and oil barrels are sold in market with dollar prices. So it remains at top in all currencies.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 22, 2019, 03:26:02 PM
In my experience its seems that

[1] some people seem to just "get" btc almost as soon as they are introduced to it,

[2]  others simply don't or

[3] become hostile without understanding BTC tech.

[4] Become hostile and do understand the tech.

The demarcation lines seem to me quite stark. Any theories as to why this is?

(I understand [5] those who just don't get it or are not interested, )

If the person is really interested in knowing the working of crypto coins then surely he will get its working and technology behind it but some people have negative viewpoint about it due to rumours about its volatility and scams like btc being bubble.Others just want to get rich by btc without knowing that it is coin used for payments not mode of getting rich. You can invest in it and wait for long term and get returns in future. But slowly people will start getting its importance and adopt it.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 22, 2019, 03:07:34 PM

Hackers can't reach offline wallets so they are safe but your freind might have been attacked when he was onliine on messenger and they stole the access to private keys at that time.So never store them in online way.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Litecoin dips really low in price, I am buying a LOT! on: October 21, 2019, 01:13:27 PM
Over the years, Litecoin has been reliable for surging when BTC price pops.  Last winter I bought 15 LTC at $30 each, along with many other alt coins.  However, I foolishly didn't sell it at $140 a few months later and the price has retreated.

So I'll be ready for the next price cycle.  Buy low sell high!  When I feel the price has bottomed, I will buy hundreds of LTC.

I didn't sell my LTC for $140 in June because I thought BTC was beginning its next huge price swing, and it didn't last.  Like me in my wife, it shot its load too soon.   Shocked
It was quite a good time when LTC hit $140 in the previous years but now its down due to dump situation in the market but yes its good time to buy litecoin as its cheap now and when btc will surge its also going to hit $140 or even higher again so i am going to hodl it until that time to gain much higher profits.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ETHEREUM KEEPS DISAPPOINTING on: October 21, 2019, 01:00:58 PM
In the course of this year, ethereum has mostly not been promising due to the many disappointing times we have experienced. Sometimes, it even become very difficult to know when to hold or sell out some ethereum. All the same, many people who trust in altcoins have kept some great faith in ethereum and that is an amazing motivation that ethereum can really bounce back and be the strong force most hodlers wish for.
Its not the case only with ETH but almost every coin is witnessing bloodbath from last 2 years but now there are some positive signs in the form of price growth so you don't feel disappointed in this phase because ETH will soon cross $300 mark as it trading roughly between $220 at this time. You need to be patient if you want returns.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we looking at Bitcoin down to $5K? on: October 21, 2019, 11:49:25 AM
Two weeks ago everything seemed like we were on a bullish trend towards a 12K mark. Now we're all fearing a 5K resistance level. Thoughts?

https://cryptotradernews.com/crypto-trader-pro/will-bitcoin-fall-to-5k-by-end-of-2019/

^^^ good insights on why btc could go up and down.

"Experts believe that Bitcoin’s performance will improve as the US-China trade war intensifies or a no-deal Brexit comes closer."
Although the market is volatile and price can go down but it seems difficult to me that it will go down once again to low level of $5000 as it has managed to reach $8000 and now we will see bull run soon hitting the market. The investmemts are increasing pumping the prices and increasing the demand so be patient until that time.
247  Economy / Economics / Re: Any ideas of what we lack in crypto world? on: October 21, 2019, 11:32:39 AM
We see that all the time in some countries cryptocurrencies are banned or in the contrary they start to make a special regulation. It shows that everyone want to do something with it but don't really know what, yet. Maybe you guys can guess, as experts from the crypto community, what do we need for normal living in a blockchain world?
In my opinion there are certain limitations which need to be covered in crypto world like
1-Proper knowledge of working behind these coins or technical knowledge and level of skills
2-Higher transaction fees and limit on certain amounts
3-No support from people and governmemts
4-Greed among people which leads to scams.
But all these can be covered if we give our full support to the system and blockchain technology which will provide us a better world.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you share Bitcoin percentage in your portfolio? on: October 21, 2019, 11:17:20 AM
This is not important to discuss, but it's for general curiosity. I hold over 100 coins and tokens but most of them found in airdrops so they have near zero value. I only have 11 including BTC that I invested and really care about. I don't want to name all of them but as of today, nearly 66% percent (based on BTC price, not fiat) of my portfolio fills with Bitcoin.
Can you share your percentage of BTC holding? Kindly, only count coins that have value.
My larger part contribute towards bitcoin which is 55% of my total investment and another 25% is settled in ETH and rest in other altcoins.I am long term hodler so i choose them.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just turned 40 today and want to be part in BTC Community (Beginner) on: October 21, 2019, 11:02:31 AM
You must have joined here a long time ago because at this time the market is not good or say it is disturbed as prices are fluctuating highly but still it is said its never late in this market. So you are welcomed. But your knowledge is not accurate as to you said altcoins = Fiat which is not true as they are volatile but fiat has stable value and can be exchanged for any item. Moreover there is competition among altcoin not between btc as it is king of cryptos and dominates the market. It has potential to rise above lower levels as it is trading at $8500 starting from $3-$4k last year and help boost the price of other coins.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2019, 10:44:01 AM
I don't think so that people are loosing interest in bitcoin or other coins but on the contrary basis i would say that due to social media and news publicity of these coins have increased and more wants to know what actually these digital coins are and how they work. But if you are talking about young investors leaving market due to price dumps then they don't really know it's power and potential to rise in future. The market volume is still high and will keep on growing with more persons joining market.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine wants to legalize crypto (again) on: October 21, 2019, 10:30:25 AM
The governments around the world are recognizing the importance of crypto or say more of the blockchain technology so as to boost the economy of the country.Same is the case with Ukraine as they have submitted the bill to legalize it but still they are way to make it happen but they have exempted earlier to crypto holders to pay taxes and other exemptions. The nations who have a positive attitude towards crypto market knows it importance and its usage so they are going to give give profits to the market in form of price rise.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 20, 2019, 06:00:23 PM
----

Casemiro is always good and as far as I know (a casual Real observer), he never had big patches of bad form like most of the other players in Real. I have recently seen Real Madrid wages contract and was really shocked to see how little he earns compered to some absolute shit players in the club. Mariano Diaz is getting almost 4 times his wages and Luka Jovic is getting almost 10 times. If I was in his place I would seriously consider leaving. That just shows lack of respect for one of crucial players in the team.

Casemiro and Busquets have shown over years how important is defensive midfielder role. Both in creating chances as well as defending, these two outshined last decade. Hands down, Casemiro has been best madrid player alongside Benzema this season.
Jovic made shit move coming to Real that soon. Currently Benzema is first striker of the team, also there are lots of big wingers and forwards in team, Jovic won't get enough minutes to settle in Madrid. He has almost thrown his career in vain.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Investors always turn to reduce or deny bounty hunters their payments on: October 19, 2019, 01:11:03 PM
Some Project owners together with some Bounty managers promise Hunters certain percentage of total tokens to be created.
These promised tokens inturn manipulates hunters to engage in these bounties expecting to be paid.
One main phrase that gets to favor this bounty managers and project owners is "bounty manager and project owners have the rigjt to male changes to the bounty tool at any point in time"
Should the above statement be allowed to continue?
See its the case with many bounty campaigns that they make changes at the time of payment but we cant say anything about it as they have already mentioned that that have rights to make changes in the agreement. Its upto you that you want to participate or not. They make changes to avoid problems like dump situation or any other issue.Make your own decision before joining.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: what do you think is the best rate price for btc? on: October 19, 2019, 12:54:31 PM
Hi guys,

I am curious to know what for you is the best average btc price.

Thank you so much everyone who will answer me.  Grin
If you are looking to invest in bitcoin then i would suggest that anytime is best when you choose to invest your funds in bitcoin because if you are long term holder then prices will rise in future and you will get profits.See if the prices rise even to $20000 by 2020 then you can buy even at this prices also. But don't be too late to be part of the race.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price fluctuations - Opportunity or despair? on: October 19, 2019, 12:44:58 PM
How do we term this phase of crypto currency wherein all the altcoins are bleeding including the mighty Ethereum but Bitcoin is trending strange wherein when we expect no recovery it's pumping up (short-lived) and then we witness falls and these falls are not quick they fall gradually and then raise gradually as well which has led to frequent price fluctuations. are these price fluctuations a boon for us to make use of it and trade in order to achieve profits or else it's a despair situation wherein we are clueless and don't know what to do ?
If you have proper knowledge and skill to implement in this highly volatile market then you can generate profits in any case even in up or downstream.Traders get oppurtunity when prices fluctuates to move their investment and benefited from it.Manipulations are always in every stream and whales manipulate prices in crypto market. So its just your decision that which time suits you.
256  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Money Losing Worth, Bitcoin and Gold Getting Important on: October 19, 2019, 12:26:57 PM
Financial crisis have been always a problem for developing nations due to incorrect monetary policies of the government and yes it can be solved with the help of gold reserves or btc as we have seen Venezuela arising out of crisis with crypto involvement. So it might be helpful for world economies but fiat will always have fixed value and cannot loose its value in case of inflationary measures also. But we don't need to think of another economic crisis due to trade wars as they have been part of political system of countries.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption rising in NGO sector: Report on: October 19, 2019, 12:13:21 PM
Its really good to see NGO's adopting digital currencies like bitcoin and contribute to the innovation of blockchain technology. We are aware of the fact that now most of the institutions like UN is also accepting btc as deposits feom the investors and others are also on the way. They might not have reserves for such currencies and exchange them in fiat immediately or later but its good they are helping others in any form of money they get.We can't argue on this topic.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 19, 2019, 11:54:33 AM
I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?
See this is the main problem with most of us that if see prices tends not to rise we simply imagine that crypto market will be ending soon and such things but this is not true in actual sense.Although you have traded from this year prices are down from 2017 last qaurter. But with increased adoption and investment btc will again gain dominance and prices will rise so stick to your investment and hodl it until price rise. And if you are interested in altcoins invest in only those who have developmental plans or objective in long run which can give you profits otherwise don't invest in others.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legality effect on: October 19, 2019, 11:36:30 AM
my mind always asks, if one day bitcoin gets legal regulation, and is recognized all over the world. will fiat currencies continue to work? which country will be saved by the economy? and which countries are negatively affected? Or not effect in country. because in my opinion. when the legality of bitcoin is recognized throughout the world. There will be no currency difference. all values are the same. or will become commodity items such as gold etc. Give me your opinion
The governments might legalize bitcoin and it can be used as legal tender or legal currency but it cannot be replaced by local currency of the country as fiat is physical store of value which can be exchanged for anything without the use of any internet transaction. There will be many people who would adopt btc but still people will prefer to hold fiat with them as its easy to use and without any complications. And there can be negative and positive effect like boosting of depressed economies or increasing illicit use of funds.Anything can happen who knows.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wait, who owns the market? on: October 19, 2019, 11:23:21 AM
Understand who controls the market you are investing or trading in, and you’ll have an advantage. Bitcoin is a free and open source market. Nobody owns it.

But does anyone control it?

Ask yourself this—

How are Bitcoins created?

Who is incentivised to create Bitcoin?

Between 2013 and the beginning of 2017, big money had been slowly moving in on Bitcoin. They saw its potential as a relatively rare asset and also the mechanism that made it work. Bitcoin is seen as having a value greater than the sum of its parts.
Actually the crypto market or btc is a decentralized coin which cannnot be controlled by anoyone but the prices can be easily manipulated by the whales to gain profits by creating pump and dump situation as there is no regulated body to act upon.It is coin held by many investors and prices will rise with increased demand and supply becoming low.So we can say it is free market and nobody owns it.
