I don't understand what you're saying. These "investors" gave Sam real money he was supposed to use to grow his company but rather than do that, he squandered it. They were looking for long-term gains - at what point after they gave Sam their money was it ever worth even just the amount they initially "invested"? Are you saying Sam only recently became a fraud and there was a time when their investment was worth more? That's not what I'm reading about this fiasco.

Exchanges are a "necessary evil". I am sure the sugar grower hates the idea of having his prices being dictated by some guy in suit on wall street, but the reality is, it is a global form of price discovery and if there is money to be made, someone will find a way to exploit it!
Some of us wanted to be buying and selling goods and services directly in BTC with the added advantage that when the economy is shit, everyone doesn't run for the exits so they can feed their family and keep the lights on with filthy $ But, yaknow... |

At the moment My cash withdrawals from coinbase are 3 days Late to hit the bank.
Not sure why but if you are sitting on cash with coinbase like I was you may want to know they are slow to pay it in my case.
I will post back tonight to mention if they send it.
Are you doing the free withdrawal? That usually takes a little while to show up, especially at the weekends when banks are closed. |

As an SF fan I have long thought some kind of metaverse will exist, when VR tech is sufficiently advanced (full bodysuit or some kind of direct brain connexion), however I didn't envision that it would be so centered on making money. It has to be sustainable of course and thus cost something, but "buying" plots of virtual land for crazy amounts, "buying" virtual Vuitton bags, what the hell ?
Things go in cycles and the online world needs some decentralization brought back to it. Why would we want one "Metaverse" where you have to bow down before Zuck or risk losing everything you have? |

TL;DR the whole system is made to be incredibly time consuming and overall bizarre. I cannot imagine how people will manage on Nov 8.
One disappointment is that this year there were only a few libertarian candidates. I guess that party is not competitive at all (in my state).
