241  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology and work ethics on: March 17, 2024, 10:28:09 AM
I think it’s okay. They are using resources from the company so I believe
that the company has the rights to monitor and see what they are doing.

I think it can also create a sense of transparency that would be able to build
trust among employees and the employers. As long as it is not for other weird purposes, then I think it’s only okay.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: March 17, 2024, 08:05:53 AM
I find this unusual and weird I live in a country where gambling is legal there are lotto outletss in every corner, there are horse racing betting outlet and there are online betting station that originates in our country and yet there is a pending bill that if you're going to post or talk about gambling you'll likely going to get fine of 500k pesos or $90k and you will also land in jail.

So if you post that you won in horse racing or you post the winning bets in daily lottery you will likely get charged and penalize, so what do you think of this law, is this right?

Quote
"In this regard, this representation proposes the prohibition of online publication of materials that instruct or demonstrate gambling, commentaries, and advertisements that promote awareness of gambling activities,"

Quote
Any person who will be found publishing gambling-related content may face six months to one year imprisonment or a fine ranging from P300,000 to P500,000.
Senate bill seeks ban on pro-gambling online content
Maybe because of the rampant gambling advertising happening in gambling world now , almost every area of internet now has Gambling post that is now even very young kids are being a target of these advertisers so I think that made the lawmaker to have this in their target bills.

imagine you are allowing your kids having their facebook that you limit their friends and communications but here it is , those gambling ads popping everywhere? sorry but in this part I agree with the law makers .,
243  Economy / Gambling / Re: Overtime Markets - No KYC - Fully decentralized - Token incentives - Onchain on: March 17, 2024, 06:54:15 AM
While others are talking about the graphics ,it is also best for you to Buy a copper membership
so you might post clear and better looking thread here to present your site , because it will add attractions
to your target audience in which you are competing with long time sites here.

I see room for improvement in both the graphics and the presentation here on the forum. The world of cryptocurrency casinos is highly competitive and although many are successful, which shows that there is room for many competitors, to stand out and get market share I think he would have to improve on both.
But the way OP is showing now? i think they are not interested in serious marketing here and this sounds like those shill account that only posting their thread but never come back to update or at least answer those posts in your own thread.
Hey everyone,

Thanks a ton for the amazing replies, what an awesome community! We'll make sure to get the Copper subscription as recommended. Furthermore we have our design team working on a solid image showcasing Overtime Markets!

Stay tuned, and again the feedback is much appreciated Cheesy
yeah, you should purchase copper member and also that design team should act sooner.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is GRIN still a thing? on: March 17, 2024, 04:42:33 AM
It has unique tech features but unfortunately it just couldn’t catch up
with all the hype.
It also had lots of competition back then hence why after
a few years, its value decreased. It never improved and was blocked by a lot
of other newer and better coins.

Seeing as not a lot of people are still interested, I think it’s not gonna be able
to recover anymore or anytime soon.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Making people more profitable than Alts on: March 17, 2024, 03:44:00 AM
To be honest there was a time where I would also have said that memecoins
Were basically useless and a waste of time. But we are seeing coins like doge
and shiba inu doing well and I also think they are profitable coins to invest in.

Memecoins have now changed their strategy but they are still altcoins and altcoins
are still risky and volatile. The key is to choose the best possible coins and make the best possible decisions.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does BTC mean to you? on: March 17, 2024, 03:08:27 AM
To me BTC is everything.
Infact it's either Bitcoin or nothing.
It is a narrow road to financial freedom.
With Bitcoin the future is brighter.

I share this sentiment with you. I also think that bitcoin can give me the financial
freedom that otherwise would have taken me so long to achieve with rather
the traditional means of earning money. Bitcoin is the key to our future and I feel
very grateful to have known and invested in bitcoin already
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blackrock control BTC? on: March 17, 2024, 02:31:54 AM
No one can control bitcoin no matter how much coins they have. I think rather
than companies, we need to start thinking of the governments. I also don’t think
they have the ability to control bitcoin as a whole but they can definitely implement
rules and regulations that would force their citizens to obey.

If it’s about price, well there’s a lot of whales in the market and they are
careful enough to use different strategies as to not disturb the entire market
when they are buying or selling.
248  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What if we had only one language? on: March 17, 2024, 02:14:06 AM

What's even the scientific explanation to the different languages we have in the world?

It’s because we formed different little groups that shared experiences and ideologies.
Since we had no contact back then with one another, those who are in the same
group usually just had the same mannerisms or way of life which is a lot
different from those other groups from different parts of the world. I think at this point
it’s quite impossible to create one language that is universally accepted and spoken
by everyone.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top altcoins are in trouble?? on: March 16, 2024, 03:14:34 PM
I wouldn’t be too worried…. The bull run isn’t in its full glory yet. There are still
plenty of time for them to rise. I believe that bitcoin will pump more before
which will prompt altcoins’ price increasing and then would undergo yet another
pump after halving. I still think it really depends on the specific coin rather than on bitcoin alone but it serves well for a basis of speculation.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm curious about your thoughts on when Bitcoin might hit $1,000,000 on: March 16, 2024, 03:00:10 PM
It’s not gonna be in the next 5 years, I am quite sure.

There is always that possibility of bitcoin going beyond and while $1M sounds huge,
I am optimistic that bitcoin will reach that but I don’t think it’s gonna be that fast.
I’m confident with saying at least 15 years more until we’ll get to see some signs
pointing to that direction.

There are many things that could happen that could drastically change bitcoin like adaptation from the government is one.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 16, 2024, 07:20:12 AM
From the perspective of healthcare workers, this is ridiculous conspiracy. Nothing
I hate the most than people who claim that covid is fake and was only invented for
some reason when in reality not only crypto was affected but the entire world. Economies crashed and people were dying. People sold their bitcoin because situation in their country was starting to get bad.

Even rich people were affected by covid. Just accept covid for what it was: a pandemic and move on.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Offs on: March 16, 2024, 04:35:02 AM
So while we are on the discussion and topic of gambling, I wonder if there has every been a scratch off ticket thread?

I was at the gas station today and I said screw it lets get two $1 scratch of tix because why not.

The first one was a flop, but the second one was a winner! I won one lol Just $1. Whoopty doo lol

So I used that winner ticket to go and buy another ticket, and guess what!? The same thing happened again and I won one lol.

I am going to go back tomorrow and get another one and see what happens and keep you guys posted!
Why not try 10 instead of one  Grin maybe your luck is not limited to few tickets ,or maybe you will get more than that so Good Luck mate.
Quote
Here is a fun question: What is the most you have ever won off of a scratch off ticket? What brand ticket was it?
I am f@cked in tickets , never that I won from day 1 this is the reason I stopped buying ticket instead i try lottery ticket and same thing , Never that I won hahaha.
253  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: March 16, 2024, 03:24:04 AM
You didn't clarify what sports or games your talking about but I think its football from the points you gave out, I think everyone checks out club performance before they make predictions but strategies sometimes can fail and you can lose.

Building strategies are good but doesn't guarantee winnings, but I can help you create a pattern that cam help you make better decisions in gambling.
Yes, in football game, points are very important in terms of prediction because the team that is the best and the team that can win the most matches is definitely considered as a strong team. And those teams are more likely to win the next matches as well. But still no one can guarantee their win. So no one can win every match using his strategy.  Because of this everyone has to accept that gambling is risky.  And everyone has to take risks and gamble
isn't in all sports POINTS is the most important? is there any sports that does not focus in point system? because if does then what would be the result?
strategy is one of the best thing we must have in gambling or in a game cause once we have that then we have the advantages to become the winner. And also in gambling not all the time we will win so we need to analyze and make a good strategy. Also we must hope that we have our luck in our side so that we won't loss cause if we don't have our luck then all we can say is that we can't win. Anyways it's up to us gamblers if what we gonna do ij the gamble that we want to play with.
and skills mate specially in sports betting that we need to have a deep understanding of the game and the team, same as the homecourt advantage.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Web3-phones trend: are you ready to participate? on: March 16, 2024, 02:17:34 AM
I have always thought of having two separate phones. One for personal uses and
one for crypto. I think this way it is not only safer but also less confusing
With too many apps in the phone, you might confuse one for the other so I believe
crypto phones are a great idea.

I think that we are seeing something that could be easily developed over time
and be used greatly by a lot of investors. They would definitely have to learn how
to build some of apple’s systems because iphones are great defense for hackers and
viruses while androids not so much.

Anyway, I am hoping that they get to improve these phones as I am sure these will be of great hits.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies can't surge great height without speculations. on: March 16, 2024, 01:42:23 AM
While the market depends a lot on the people’s opinion of the coin,
Speculation is not the only thing that runs the market. If all coins ran through
hype, almost all of them would be dead by now. Yes, speculation can increase a
coin’s value but if it stopped there, it’s not gonna last long.

Investors need to see utility and actual value. There will be no speculation of increased
values if the coin is really worthless.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not to lose your Bitcoin ? New encrypted secured KYC Lock Wallet by SN on: March 16, 2024, 01:14:42 AM
Weather proof mean absolutely secure and no hacker can ever hack into your wallet.

Is there any new technology that you have implemented for you to be so sure
that no one can ever hack into your system?

Everything you just said seems theoretical. Where is the actual logic behind all
of it? Tell us the hows and whys of your wallet. You need to work on a website if
you are truly devoted in promoting this wallet of yours
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not the future, it is the present on: March 15, 2024, 10:09:42 PM

And you, what do you think, please share your views:
  • Do you think we have reached the crypto era?
  • You think crypto is the future, or crypto is the present?
  • If crypto is the future, when will that future come?

First, despite a lot of people using bitcoin there is still not really much adaptation
from other people. So I believe as long as there has not been yet any adaptation and implementation by the government we might never say that crypto is what is in now

It is being taught in schools but I’m so scared of the risks it comes with it if everyone knew you participate in crypto

I think we are still far from improving bitcoin beyond so this is why for me it is the future although we do have sneak peak of what is about to come. It’s hard to say when will that future be.
258  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do we deal with verbal violence! on: March 15, 2024, 02:39:18 PM
As kids, we have no control of any external factors but we also have no control
of our own feelings and thoughts yet. When verbally abused, that sticks with the kid
forever.

The kid may grow up feeling inadequate and may manifest this in different
kinds of situations. The kid may grow up shy and quiet or the kid may become a rebel
and verbally abuse others. As a kid, there’s really nothing to do when someone older
or someone with authority abuses you unless someone gets you help.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rate AltCoin value between 2021 past bull run and this 2024 halving season on: March 15, 2024, 01:54:41 PM
Most of the time, altcoins really do not surpass their ath so if you see
an altcoin that has done so, then that altcoin must be doing really well.
This is not to say that altcoins are not a good investment anymore just because
they don’t seem to get pass their ath. It’s exactly why altcoins are good for short-term
investments primarily

I still think most altcoins are doing and will be doing better now than years
before just like how bitcoin’s price is so much higher now than before.
260  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nigeria leaders and corruption on: March 15, 2024, 01:24:38 PM

I'm saddened why Nigerian newbies who perhaps don't have adequate knowledge to start crypto related topics will always come to this board and always be focusing on negative things to say about Nigeria, although we have corrupt politicians, but then which country doesn't have corrupt politicians, it's not like bad leadership is peculiar to Nigeria, alone, we have countries that have worse dictators as leaders, yet their citizens don't make it headlines in this forum. We have a lot of achievements in different areas of our private sectors where individuals are making the country proud, like in the areas of entertainment and entrepreneurship, we have millions of genuine individuals who are very innovative and breaking barriers to achieve excellence and make the country to become greater.

It is true that I have seen many topics regarding Nigeria here in this forum
and every time I click on it I always see something about corruption and fear for
the future. It has made me think how bad could the situation be at Nigeria. It is
always good to not to be afraid to criticize your government. As someone who came
from a country where most people lived thru toxic optimism, I must say that
it’s truly important for the citizens of the country to not sugarcoat anything that
is happening.

But I agree with you. If there’s anything to showcase about my country, I
would also like to highlight that especially if I am posting it in a platform
full of different people from different countries.
