241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: March 19, 2024, 03:55:00 PM
This has got me to ask, after the bull run and hopefully you hodles your Bitcoin til the ATH and then you have made enough money, are you going to go out there and let those who were in doubt about the profitable potentials of Bitcoin to let them know about your investment in the Bitcoin and how so well you are doing in the industry?

I don't see any reason for me to do that because at the end of the day, it is my investment and my finances and others don't need to know about them at all. I find this foolish if a person keeps telling everyone about where they have invested money, how much they have invested, and how much profit they have managed to get from their investment, I mean, why do you need to let them know? What do you want them to do about it?
I know that some people do this because they want others to appreciate them and feel that they are having the best life and they are great with finances and stuff but honestly, there is no need for that, and it is better to keep such things private in my opinion.

This is true realistically and logically speaking but we have different attitude when it comes to our achievements especially on profit. Some people can’t stop themselves to flaunt their profit just to impress everyone while other people who will see this will have different opinion too because some will praise him and some will be jealous.

In the end, We all have different attitudes and nature on how we deal things. We really have nothing to earn by sharing our profit in terms of financial gain but some people get some sort of accomplishment by letting others knew their profit due to their wise investment. It’s up to the reader on how they will react.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Big instutions and Banks have invested too much in Europe on: March 19, 2024, 03:46:36 PM

it's not up to Putin to stop the war. one of the parties has to surrender for the war to be over or simply just peace talk and accept the condition of Putin since he has the leverage to give the condition. Ukraine also will not accept the condition of Putin since it's going to appear NATO to be weak for they are the ones backing the country. there's the reason for war to continue.

blackrock does have a plan to rebuild Ukraine which they bid an enormous amount of money but if Putin controls the country that money won't be going to Ukraine.

Your opinion is contradicting itself. You mention that it’s not up to Putin to stop the war yet the condition for stopping the war is accept the condition given by Putin itself which means if Putin doesn’t demand to Ukraine then this war is already over because it’s still up to Putin(Russia) decision on when they will stop the war because they are the only one invading Ukraine while the other country is just on defensive position.

This war is all about Putin(Russia) goal, which will not happened if they just agree to a proper settlement between 2 party.

Does anyone here know about the movie '21'? It's about using math to beat the blackjack game. Lol, I wish I knew some tricks to play in a casino like that.

Yes! I believe this movie is based on real story since there’s a real life event of group of student beat a casino by just playing blackjack. This is really possible back then when casino is still not using multiple decks and frequent shuffle method to make counting impossible but right now there’s no working trick to beat the current version of blackjack.

Using the basic matrix table for blackjack will help you play with minimal house edge but still not enough to win the game consistently like what the movie did.

@LoyceV, do you create that colored post manually? I’m always curious on how do you guys do that (if not manually typing and attaching bbcode color).    Undecided

LoyceV is a bot. Bots don't do anything manually!

By the way, have you read his colored text?

Or go full crazy and use https://www.stuffbydavid.com/textcolorizer

I obviously read his colored post and this is the main reason for my curiosity for my question. It’s mind blowing to think that he will manually type all this bbcode color code since it’s not available as default in the forum. I hope this is already not Off topic on this thread considering that this is all about text color discussion. Sorry @jackpotracer for slightly hijacking your thread.

Wow!! I didn't  know we could use hex format , on sight I had to quote to check how it's been done, it was so cool .

Afaik Signature code frequently use hex format if you look at the bbcode of all the signature design in the forum.

I’m not against it if you are just using neutral color to make it calming in the eyes. The forum plain white background is already straining to the eyes during night even with the default black text. Adding color just like what you are using “blue” will make your post very annoying to ready particularly that most of your post is just a negative attack against a certain casino.

You are purposely using color to your post just to attract attention through annoying them. Using it regularly is I strongly disagree because it should be use only on post that need to attract attention such as ANN thread and not a regular post for discussion purposes. Everyone read your post regardless of the color, user just ignore some of your post because you don’t want to discuss if user doesn’t agree with you.

247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Offs on: March 17, 2024, 10:02:46 AM
Everyone always expect everyday to be one of the Christmas days full of celebrations for them especially the gambler and the lottery winners but it is just impossible to maintain that posture.

That’s the real fun of scratch cards or any form of gambling that involves jackpot prize for small bet. You are expecting to win big that’s why you keep scratching cards despite the chance of winning it small. You will surely not enjoy it if you think how hard to win on this game rather than beating the odds of winning this game despite the difficulty. It’s like finishing a game on a hard mode. It’s painful but worth it when you finish

I have not got on a scratch offs before and don't think I would even get to have a purchase just to try such luck.

I’m not encouraging you to try but buying few tickets will not gonna hurt you because it’s very cheap.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Offs on: March 16, 2024, 02:23:28 PM
Speaking of the scratch. I just purchased a couple of tickets yesterday when I pass by on a local lottery outlet near our marketplace. I purchased 10 cards worth 20 pesos each for a total of 200php.

Most of the card is useless but I still manage to win some even though it’s still not enough to break even. I decided to just save the scratch cards for remembrance instead of claiming it since I don’t really need the money that I use on this purchased.

See the x3 40 and x3 20, that’s a total 60php win or 1$+.   Grin Grin Grin

Lol, but it's the banana mate, I will do some from time to time when I can, in the market, in the mall, in a local lottery near our place. Same with you, will purchase a lot of tickets. And then me and my wife will enjoy "scratching" the ticket and see if we won or not.

If by chance we won big, then it's going to be a big treat, hehehe.

But if it's break even, still good though, at least we still have some money to buy the next day or when we have a chance,  Grin.

What’s your largest win so far on this scratch card. I’m kinda got addicted and try again today but I have no luck with 5 cards. I just knew this to my coworker because he keeps playing this whenever we go to the mall but I never saw him won above 500php while he spending almost 1000php whenever he play during our payday at work.

I want to try too other scratch cards by pcso. I just want to start on the banana because it’s really calling me to scratch him badly. The smell of scratch card is really so addictive.

I will post here once I’ve got a juicy win which I already feel tomorrow. Wink
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 16, 2024, 11:09:42 AM
The easiest mistake to lose everything over is losing self-control. It often happened that I won small amounts of money during the day, and then the moment came when I wanted more, and I made a rash bet and lost everything. You spend a lot of time to earn - and in one moment you lose everything.... Therefore, the ability to control yourself is very important for a gambler

Tilted is the popular world associated on losing self-control these days. I can relate to this comment because I’m always noticing that it’s very easy to lose than win simply because there’s no limit on how much you can win while your margin of error is very small to bust your bankroll that’s why a couple of loss huge bets can easily delete your bankroll including your profit that you acquired by betting small.

This the human error which the casino taking advantage on most of their games that’s why there’s always a max bet or max win on every game so that user with huge bankroll can’t easily recover their losses by increasing their bets especially if the losses is already above the max bet.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: March 16, 2024, 10:58:58 AM
Since even the best strategy cannot guarantee about a victory. Therefore, one should not rely 100% on predictions. Many of the gamblers think that the predictions of those who have good experience online or offline are effective but in reality an experienced predictor has no value if those predictions are not correct.

Wait what??? How can you say someone has good experience in both online and offline prediction if their prediction itself is not correct most of the time. You can’t consider them as good and experienced if their winning percentage is not good because they are just mediocre gambler regardless of their length of experience.

Quote
What gamblers should focus on here is to increase their knowledge. If a prediction can be made by itself then it is effective. But many people are in a bit of conflict with their research, they can make a good prediction for betting by comparing their research with others. But in the case of prediction it should be remembered that one cannot depend on others.

Again, you using an example of wrong analysis. How come it’s not right to use someone prediction if it's already the correct analysis? There’s only one correct answer on prediction and you can always validate them based on the merit of their analysis. It’s not wrong to compared your prediction to others as long as you know what’s the correct basis for determining the right analysis of that specific match. What
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 16, 2024, 09:30:02 AM
It is just like demo trading. Would do it if you were to begin sports betting again or jump right straight into the real thing?

I preferred to learn through my experience on gambling because it’s just a based on luck even if I do some analysis on a game. There’s a lot of unknown variables that affect a game such as star player not performing well, injury and other unforeseen event. I just use small amount whenever I’m still on this learning phase and increase gradually when the result is looking good until I hit a bumps of lose which means I start again from scratch.

I usually watch a lot of matches on a same league before I place a bet and enter to my learning phase of actual betting. Nothing is wrong when playing using paper bet but there’s really no fun if there’s no money involved.

Do you have another ANN here? I think I have seen another one.

Yes they have here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478536.0 but it was posted by different user that they hire for posting ANN thread.

They should request to lock first the old thread before starting this new thread tho.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 15, 2024, 10:10:46 AM
Do I got it right, the idea of this topic is to again compare investment of risk with risk while we gamble. I think we have this discussed numerous times already. Even though final goal is the same - lots of money, gambling allows to achieve that quicker. Also it gives a pinch of fun. I havent seen anyone who is entertained or excited while investing Grin Is it worth spending earned money in gambling or investing? Everyone makes his own decision what to do with his money. But you never know what juice taste if you dont try Cheesy

You’ve got it wrong. The investment subject on this topic is the time and money invest when gambling. The OP is just asking whether the time and money put(invested) on gambling is really worth it since we all know that the common end result is just a loss.

This kind of question is definitely from user that doesn’t understand properly the concept of gambling since they are putting a time and money that should be on other things that is more significant. Gambling should be done during free time and using free money.
255  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF will be listed in Brazil! on: March 15, 2024, 09:41:22 AM
That's probably the reason why it's going to be listed in Brazil, because people don't know that it's not bitcoin and that way, the Brazilian government and Blackrock can benefit more from it because they're literally not selling any bitcoin to the people and that they're only getting richer on paper. I guess the advantage is that you're not really trading bitcoins and if I recall correctly it works like a stock or a bonds so you don't really need to do any trading, you're just hodling on to it and waiting until you can sell or something like that.

Nah, Brazil is known for a country on South America that has a huge number of cryptocurrency investors. There’s a tons of potential investors in there that want to ride on Bitcoin hype without the need to understand the tech behind Bitcoin such as holding it on their wallet.

ETF is not something that scam exchange offer but rather it’s highly regulated compared to CEX on crypto. Holding IBIT shares is much better than buying on CEX and hold it on their exchange wallet since that’s what newbie on crypto typically done. Besides not all investors that buy Bitcoin wants to hold real Bitcoin. Most of them is just investing due to the price growth potential which is similar whether you hold real Bitcoin or an ETF. Most important now is their buying power on ETF is now being reflected on the real price of Bitcoin.
256  Other / Archival / Re: I pay .002 BTC, you buy a $5/month SIM from HelloMobile, keep it active 6 months on: March 15, 2024, 06:38:27 AM
Eternad: to be frank your request to be paid the full .002 BTC upfront raises a red flag to me. I am offering to pay half (.001 BTC) upfront. I stand to lose all that if you scam me. But with my offer, no matter what, you get paid at least .001 BTC. Then if I were to abandon our deal, you would have spent $5 on the SIM for the first month, but then you can cancel it. You'd still be making a profit well over $60. I don't understand your motivation to insist to be paid the full .002 BTC upfront, unless you think $60 isn't enough profit to make it worth your while.

I will not scam you for a 0.002BTC considering the time I invest to my account. I’m considering how volatile the current market right now and also I don’t want to rely solely on trusting a newbie user for half the payment after completing the request.

I’m not forcing you to accept my terms that’s why I post my offer here. I’m using my personal CC to make the payment that’s why I’m not really comfortable on doing a partial payment deal considering how forgetful I am on my monthly subscription. I hope that you can find someone who will accept your deal, honestly your offer is really good if everything will went smooth.

257  Other / Archival / Re: I pay .002 BTC, you buy a $5/month SIM from HelloMobile, keep it active 6 months on: March 15, 2024, 12:37:44 AM
I can do this but I will need payment in full before I purchase the sim. I made a lot of deal in the past that involves buying online with higher amount.

I will send you an email once you accepted my terms above. You can PM me too for further discussion before we move to email conversation to avoid scam.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Create a player list of rights on: March 14, 2024, 04:26:05 PM
Based on this post and the two responses, I realized another opportunity to actually contribute to the community, and not just my buddies.  Wink   A group of players should get together to create a list of "rights" they demand, and issue a certification for those casinos that agree to follow them.   Eventually, hopefully, increased success of those sites displaying the certification would lead to others sites following.

This is really good suggestion and will make a very significant changes once approved. But I really doubt casino will break their own ToS just to give special power to users while the current ToS is already working for them even if it’s one sided for the casino.

There’s a lot of issue in the past that casino not honoring their agreement to one of the forum users. Besides they will imposed the AML policy which is always their reason on why they can seize funds and ask documents because that’s what their license requires to them. If this rights is possible, I believe removing the KYC part is long done since this is the most hated part of gamblers when playing in online casino.

This is really a nice suggestion if implemented successfully.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: March 14, 2024, 03:13:14 PM
Do you have a sports that you keep betting on even though you don’t watch this sports live or you don’t know the full specifications of this game?

I’m always betting on NBA without watching it. I’m just relying on the stats on the team prior to their upcoming matches to have a better understanding on how they can perform against their current opponent. I only watch NBA occasionally since it’s not available on free tv channels in my country so I’m just relying on highlights on the internet to easily catch up to the team performance.

I occasionally bet too on baseball and cricket even though I never watch any of this game before. This is part of having fun when I have extra dollars remaining after placing my main bet.

In addition to what PX-Z.

All the deleted post with merits will record on your merit history as “Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored” instead of the original of the thread when you made the post.

This is the beauty of our merit system, It can’t be remove no matter what happened to the original post.
