841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can gambling and crypto trading be considered as skills with $10k gain a month? on: July 09, 2023, 05:16:25 PM
-

The skills you are comparing are different since they different usecase. The first skill set example is for a job which gives income without any investment or risk involved while gambling/trading is a tool to get profit by exposing your investment on risk.

Consistency is debatable topci in both gambling and trading no matter how good you are since both involved some level of risk compared to the normal jobs that promised fixed on income per work done. You can gain 10K$ on gambling/trading but I don’t consider it as skills since it’s betting agains people to earn profit.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 09, 2023, 02:52:00 PM
I have been thinking about trading in Bitcoin for quite some time now. I have been involved with Bitcoin for a long time but am still thinking about investing here. I used to run DPS in bank for 30 dollars per month for 5 years, this DPS will complete 5 years this month. I'll get roughly $1800, I don't think it's much of a savings to keep that money in the bank. Bangladesh is suffering from severe dollar crisis due to which many banks are likely to go bankrupt. The names of those banks have not yet been published by any mass media. Because of the economic condition of Bangladesh, I want to invest my money in Bitcoin. I still don't understand if my decision is right, please let me know your opinion

First of all do you need this money on other necessity or you live normally without using it because this money of yours is savings while Bitcoin investment requires a lot of time to make a decent profit from holding. Investing on Bitcoin is useless if the money that you will use for investment is needed on other necessity things.

Invest only what you can afford to lose. Bitcoin investment is indeed far better investment rather than put your money in the bank. But there’s a lot of risk involved in terms of price volatility. Evaluate yourself on how you can handle risk for your investment then decide aftwerwards.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: July 09, 2023, 01:28:28 PM
There’s still a lot of lands available on other country while highly urbanized country can always import agricultural goods from other country that focus on this as main source of product. Vertical is indeed very popular on highly urbanized area but most of them is just using the goods for their own consumption and not for market distribution.

Maybe in the future this will become popular and a must but right now there’s still a lot of country especially 3rd world country that farming crops for export purposes. Rich country can pay for the export fees since they are getting huge income from taxes of people job on highly urbanized areas. It’s a give and take.
If it includes a broader, it is certainly not good if you meet the needs of your country by only holding on to other countries, utamanaya the third state, it is a narrow thought in my opinion, because if you are too dependent on other countries in this case, your country will is under the influence of other countries and it is not good for the sovereignty of the state because it can be disturbed, over time the exact price of organic food commodities will increase because the narrower production land and demand more, the owner of the goods will ask for more payment, and your country will be very beaten if a significant price increase is implemented.

Like European Union that relies on nickel from Indonesia, then Indonesia is louder to manage it itself, and carry out an export stop policy that makes nickel prices rise, and the European Union can only report and report to the WTO.

This is the price being paid of the countries that focus on urbanization/modernization over agriculture. Also it’s ok for them to rely on 3rd world country goods because they are getting it on cheap price while they can produce this raw products to a valuable item in the market that gives them more profit than the raw goods supplier.

I think problem will only arise if 3rd world country decided to stop their supply but this will not gonna happened since it’s their main source of income.
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 01:22:17 PM
Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.

It’s more on a passion or hobby instead of addiction is the right term on this case since addiction is always incorporate with compulsive gambling while passion is being good on what you are doing which is on this case is gambling. You can’t win on gambling if you are addicted since you will never stop playing. All successful gambler usually know when to stop and play to control their bankroll.

It’s very hard to be on profit in gambling while playing continuosly due to house edge. Most of the successful is focus on the quality of their bets for a better accuracy than placing multiple bets with less analysis.
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 08, 2023, 05:00:26 PM
I think everyone will agree here that most of us is attracted on gambling due to the possibility to have profit quickly. I’m initially just a crypto trading that attracted to gambling after the market becomes side ways for a long time and continuos dip. I lose huge amount of money on trading while I saw some post about gambling that users winning huge amount of money by playing slots.

I start playing slot and try my luck but luck didn’t come to me on slot that makes me discover other form of gambling like bacarrat and roulette that offers quick game result for a faster recovery. After playing gambling for a year after discovering it, I lose more money than to recover my losses for trading. I’m now gambling just for the sake of bonuses and not for chasing profit. Cheesy
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 08, 2023, 03:56:16 PM

I don’t understang how a rich person and rich mindset can affect the outcome of the lottery players to win the lottery. I doubt having that kind of mindset will help you successful on gambling. The broke mindset and broke person is really true because people that keep gambling without considering saving money for their own will always be broke because they are relying on luck to change their financial status instead of hardworking through jobs.

I think the key on withdrawing profit in gambling is to set a target profit before gambling so that your mind will be programmed to withdraw at that profit level. It's very hard to stop on gambling if you are continuosly winning without any goal because you will keep chasing profit.
847  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 08, 2023, 03:46:59 PM
Luxury watches at the top end of the market can be considered as an alternative form of investment. While I don't possess extensive knowledge about watches, my understanding from available information suggests that reselling them can yield a substantial profit. The return on investment for luxury watches tends to be quite satisfactory. Prominent examples of such watches include Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Audemars Piguet, some of which have a waitlist spanning two years. Most of these watches tend to appreciate in value.

Not all luxury watches appreciate value over time. It depends on the rarity of that watch and the demand for that watch. It’s very hard to find a perfect buyer for this kind of investment and it takes a lot of time and money just to maintain this kind of watches running in good condition for a long time until you will find the rightful buyer.

Bitcoin is much investment because you just need to store it on hardware wallet and just hold until the value grows. You can easily take profit too since there’s an instant liquidity available compared to luxury items. I don’t consider luxury items as investment because their future value is only defined by the interest of collectors.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Have Any Bitcoin Stories from a Decade Ago? on: July 08, 2023, 01:25:54 PM
I believe the Story of Taihuttu Family is most iconic story for me because this happened when I'm new in the Bitcointalk forum and many believe that time that he is crazy because he sold everything for Bitcoin and let his family live on a very simple environment. Their sacrifice that time is already worth it now since they do that crazy investment gamble when Bitcoin is 900$. I think they are so rich now since they still hold their asset the last time they made interview last 2021.

Source: https://www.thenationalnews.com/business/money/2021/08/17/this-family-sold-everything-they-owned-to-invest-in-bitcoin-when-it-was-900/

Also remember the story I'm already here when the news about them came out. I think he knew exactly what he is doing and most probably he trusted someone who he took advice from. Getting all in BTC though is very risky but they did it and live in a bus after it. Not sure how things are after every bear market, I only hear some news about the family every bull run.

Hope they stay safe all the time. They are popular and if someone with intentions to rob them, it could be impossible to be vigilant all the time.

The bad thing about this story is he was completely doxxed including his family since his story was published on popular news outlet before. Even if they are not holding their crypto holdings, They can always be in danger of losing it all once they are threatened by potential robber worst kidnapper. I just hope that they start using their crypto now so that they can enjoy their life changing investment and at the same time to have a better security.

850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game Winner Result Changed After 24 hours (Defaulted) on: July 07, 2023, 06:49:55 PM
Wow, this is not very common to happen, I particularly never experienced this situation.
I was very curious and looked to see if there is something in the rules that details this situation, and I found it, at least on the platform I use:

Quote
➔ In the case where there is an overruling of a match result by the organizer due to unforeseen circumstances -
such as cheating - all bets on that match will be voided.
Source: Duelbits

So, the bets will be voided, but I don't what happens if the users already did a withdraw for example, pretty hard to deal with this situation, since the campanies and the users are not guilty in this case

With this kind of terms, I believe casino will have a hard time dealing with this specific match result since the rule overturned after 24hours which makes every user potentially withdrawn or lose all their bankroll from the profit in that specific bet.

The match of Betboom against Tundra is clearly a win for Betboom. In my opinion, Duelbits might stand on the initial result since the reason for overturning the result is just a very silly livestream that doesn’t affect the gameplay.
851  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Pulsechain Phishing scam website on: July 07, 2023, 02:46:57 PM
How would it be if I gathered them in a single thread? Is't it a better idea? Or shouldn't I create any threads at all? When someone creates a thread about how to spot scams or phishing, it will be buried somewhere in the old topics unless it's a sticky thread. So, what is your suggestion?

This will work as long as you will categorized them properly to distinguished what is the official website they are impersonating. Scam accusation board typically use for a potential scam report against official service and discussion of new type of scam available online. Phishing attempt is available in almost all popular website since it’s being used by many people that typically browse in the internet.

Creating each phishing site will make this board flooded by same kind of scam tactic. People that doesn’t even know how to determine phishing website to official will have no time to browse on this kind of warning thread since they are too lazy for being a phishing victim.
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game Winner Result Changed After 24 hours (Defaulted) on: July 07, 2023, 02:34:26 PM
I am curious about what will happen to the users who already withdraw some funds from their accounts.
Or the user's balance is not already enough to pay back the winnings of the defaulted game?

I saw on some gambling sites that this 1 user shared a screenshot of his gambling platform balance, it's already negative because I think he already withdrawn all of his winnings before they defaulted the game.

Bets is settled based on the initial official result or the game will be void but most of the time the initial result will govern especially if the bet is already settled before the overturning of the new result.

This is still case to case basis but most of the time my explanation above governed because I experience same scenario like this and I still keep my profit despite my bet result was supposed to be lose based on new result.

854  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Blackrock ETF for the win! on: July 06, 2023, 07:08:26 PM

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/13/blackrock-ceo-larry-fink-calls-bitcoin-an-index-of-money-laundering.html

855  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it nomal for BLACKJACK.FUN to investigate for more than 6 months? on: July 06, 2023, 05:40:11 PM
What are they investigating on that is taking up to 6 months, did OP not register the normal way by providing them with the required KYC. Even if it is a third party security that is doing the investigation,it should take this long time and still they haven't come up with conclusions on their investigation. I must say that the casino has a poor method of investigation,if not why is it taking that long or the casino wants to come up with fishery story to withhold OP's funds. OP, I will advice that you shouldn't gamble on this casino anymore and look for a good reputable casino and also make sure you complete their KYC requirements. Your problem should be resolved within one to two weeks and not 6 months.

According to the Blackjack.fun response on the second page of this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458419.msg62510484#msg62510484, The problem is on the betting history of the OP since the investigation is being done by the sportsbook provider and not by Blackjack.fun team themselves. Probably, the provider flagged the OP account for whatever suspicious activity they saw on OP betting history. 6 months is just the standard max length of investigation but it doesn't mean that it will be go that long.

The admin already gave a deadline date for the provider and I think the OP should temporarily lock this thread since he already got an answer.
856  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is It Good For Local Crypto Forum To Include Other Interest To Attract More.. on: July 06, 2023, 05:34:19 PM
Nope, its not bitcointalk anymore if you put local news, celebrity discussion and other more. It became showbiz talk if you add stuff like that.

Bitcointalk should be Bitcoin and crypto topic only. And beside you could just start that discussion on out of topic section regarding on what topic you want to discuss.

The OP is suggesting this off topic on other forum that he is planning to launch on our local. He is not suggesting to add this off topic on our local board in Bitcointalk but some local board already have this off-topic thread and even the global has the off-topic board dedicated for other subject from Bitcoin. Even theymos consider the possibility of accomodating this kid of topic here in the forum to become open for anyone.

@OP, Let me know if you already established your local forum. I think Symbianize is the most popular forum in PH that has a mini crypto board.
Wala ba magiging problema kung irerekta ko yung coins ko from mixer to gcrypto wallet or coins.ph.

As mixer preference, Coinomize dahil my instant mix at mababa ang fee.
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 06, 2023, 01:52:54 PM
      -   Well, of course, for gamblers who only think of it as entertainment, it's easy for them. Because gambling isn't a big deal to them, it's just a pastime.

I’m thinking like this before when I start gambling that I can quit whenever I like since I play just to kill time during my vacation but now I’m still finding to have time just to gamble. I’m not addicted but I want to play gamble even once a week or a month but I can’t totally quit on it. It’s really hard if you really being entertained on the games.

But for gamblers who see this as a source of income, I think they will find it difficult to quit, especially if they often win here, let say once a week they win a good amount here.

And the worst scenario is that if a gambler is still addicted, it is very difficult for sure for those addicted to gambling because there is no self-control in gambling.

Exactly, There’s no way to quit on gambling if you don’t find a way to redirect your attention away from gambling and also if you have a good source of income to sustain bankroll. Gambling is like drugs that you will crave once you get hook on its addictive games and profit possibility.
859  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |20% RAKEBACK TO ALL|SLOTS|SPORTS BETTING|70% RAKEBACK RUSH HOUR on: July 05, 2023, 06:54:52 PM
A few days ago I left a message to support asking where I can find the history of my games. I still haven't received any response, so I'm asking the same question here.

I played exclusively house blackjack all the time and the results are very strange to me, considering that the game has a house edge of only 0.50%, that is, due to the daily rakeback of 20%, the actual house edge is 0.40% (due to rush hour, it is below 0.40% in the long term). I'm quite below the mathematical expectations and I want to check the history of the games or at least have the support give me information on how much I invested in the game in total. I can easily calculate the rest myself

They only display a very limited bet history on your “my bets” tab beside the latest bet tab. I think they doesn't most of our best history since it will consume a lot of storage if they save it all for all the players. Statistics feature is already on the upcoming soon status on website. This feature might probably answer your question.

The representative here is not always active but he will answer once he read your question. i suggest to go on their discord or email them here info@blackjack.fun if you want quicker answer to your question. It's too bad that they already remove their live chat feature.
