1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sending bank statement for verification on: May 14, 2023, 08:02:46 AM
my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

Safe? It depends on the casino that you use. Also a bank statement doesn’t contain important information that will hacked your bank account. If your meaning of safe is about your bank money, the answer is yes. The only danger here is if the casino is shady since your identity is exposed including your statement of account.

the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

Are you aware that the information available on your bank statement is the standard details too that need on KYC? You literally just undergo KYC by sending bank statement. Also you don’t have any choice on this matter since you already made the deposit.

I think if you aren’t comfortable sending bank statement to the casino then simply  report it to your bank as refund since you didn’t get what you transferred. The casino will surely allows it since the funds didn’t arrived on your gambling account. But quicker way is to give the casino what they are asking because unlike crypto, bank transfer doesn’t have blockchain to verify all transactions. It’s a must.
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some points that can make the airdrop hunters safe! on: May 14, 2023, 07:54:10 AM
This tips is new to me and very helpful if I’m an airdrop hunter.

The only issue I’m thinking right now is isn’t the best tips is to avoid shady airdrop at all. The chances of being hack the moment you connect your wallet on scam web3 website is very high because you gave them already permission to access your wallet or whatever code they setup to hack your wallet. Either you disconnect or revoke access then it’s still useless if the hacker already got your seed phrase during your initial wallet connect.

A legit project that launch an airdrop through their engagement usually doesn’t have any hacking issue. I think this guide is suitable when you connect your wallet on legit website that later on got hacked and not against scammy website since there’s a big difference on coding on how they access web3 wallet.

-Additional safety precautions is to use separate airdrop wallet. Move all your assets away from your airdrop wallet once you already do the airdrop requirements. This way, hacker can’t hack anymore your asset even without this revoke.

Still thanks for this tips.
1063  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 14, 2023, 12:21:31 AM

Filling the weekly quota with OK quality post is not bad in my opinion. Correction me on this one if I’m wrong.
You think it's OK to barely get by in life, or would you rather live a good life? Posting on this forum is the same IMO. If you are just an OK poster and never really strive to be a great quality writer/poster, you will likely never be able to command a custom deal for a casino and will always have to worry that you'll be kicked from a campaign. Why would you want to be in fear every week?

The meaning of my OK quality is an acceptable or constructive. I'm describing a scenario which a user post prioritized quality and not not quantity since the pay rate is per post. I might use the OK quality wrong here but that's actually what I'm trying to imply on my post.

A user posting within the range with good quality compared to user that posting bunch of shit post above the max post count. This the case that I'm thinking but I'm not sure if that's the real case on my example.

Anyway, I agree with that campaign participants should do their best every week since they are being paid. This should be customary for every signature campaign participants when they are enrolled on the campaign.
1064  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 13, 2023, 05:18:59 PM
With the current competition for the highest paying campaigns I have seen in the Services section people being removed from the campaigns, having written just the 25 posts of the quota or maybe up to couple more, as an indication of little effort.
You mean people got removed because they wrote only the required amount of posts? Thats strange tbh. Imight be wrong here, but my guess is that they getting removed has to do more with their post quality rather than amount of posts written.

I saw a scenario like this before during the time when a lot of Chipmixer campaign participants was vacant. The existing signature campaign forced to reshuffle and now posting within the requirements is being discouraged by some managers.

The post that I quoted below is from the campaign that have a per post rate. I personally post within the margin because 25 post is not my normal post count when I don’t have any campaigns. Forcing user to make above the requirements while the campaign is on per post rate is bit contradicting to each other.

Quote
There are many users who are barely filling up their weekly signature campaign quota. It's obvious you are chasing your numbers when your total post counts are not more than 25, 26, 27 or even 28. We don't need such users in the campaign. If you are not having fun in making posts,

Filling the weekly quota with OK quality post is not bad in my opinion. Correction me on this one if I’m wrong.
1065  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Ordinal at Paano gumawa ng Bitcoin NFT on: May 13, 2023, 04:44:38 PM

1066  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which of this is plagiarism ? on: May 13, 2023, 04:25:19 PM
I have read about plagiarism in the forum which is a great offense here and anyone who is caught will get banned from the from. If someone wants to copy and paste here,he must provide a link to that which he has copied from.

I don't know if someone wants to use a picture on the internet without providing a link to that picture, if that user will be banned for his action or I must also provide the link to that picture which I used. Is using someone else picture without providing the link also plagiarism.

First of all you should learn what’s the real definition of plagiarism to easily grasp your confusion. Plagiarism is using someone content in a way that owning it without the source.

Posting a random picture from the internet for the sake of discussion will not gonna plagiarized you unless you are claiming the ownership of it. An image of data on the other should be backed up by source to verify the validity of your content.

Using AI generated post, which I know that is not encouraged in this forum, what will be the penalty for such action,is this the same as plagiarism ?
I need clarification please, so that I can last long here.

It’s not plagiarism since it’s from a tool that collects data on all available information in the internet. ChatGPT just do the lazy job for you to do research. Remember chatGPT is not human and a tool intended to provide info. So copying it’s content is not plagiarism since that it’s purpose.

FYI, is very strict on plagiarism if you are blatantly owning someone content without giving credits. You can use any resources that you want but make sure to provide source.
1067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding the Basics of Trading in the Cryptocurrency Market on: May 13, 2023, 12:55:36 PM

-
It is better to have your asset stored on a custodial wallet so you have access to the private keys so that you can recover the wallet at any time.

i think there may be a misunderstanding here.
 -

In terms of withdrawal fees, it is important to consider the fees charged by exchanges before trading or depositing funds. Some exchanges charge high fees for withdrawals or deposits, which can eat into your profits or reduce the amount of funds you have available to trade. Therefore, it is important to research and compare the fees charged by different exchanges before choosing where to trade.

Based on the way he constructed his statement. It's clearly a typographical error on his side since he mention about having access to you private key which a non-custodial wallet main feature is. I believe all of us know how non custodial and custodial wallet works.

Nope, he means that what if your asset is already deposited on exchange while the fee updates happened. On the case of Binance, Binance change fees from 0.0005BTC to 0.001BTC without giving an opportunity to all users to withdraw since they disable withdrawal that time. You don't have time to compared the fees. This is the reason why he mention exchange has fully control to your coins once you depouon it.

You’re both right with the answer of non-custodial wallet to hold your coins at all time.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 13, 2023, 04:39:36 AM

I really don't know how  people manage to set their budgets online casinos because there were time I had to visit offline  or better still  physical casino and most times I have to carry ong just the amount of money I'm willing to gamble with and at some points, I have to head back hike as soon as the money is finished because most times the games become more interesting  especially  when you already exhausted  the money you came to gamble with.

Most of the physical casino I play before have some ATM and some local players offering loans in exchange for physical things such as jewelry as collateral for the quick loan. This makes physical casino is not different to online casino in regards for having access to instant cash whenever it’s needed.

Having a budget for gambling is at some point  seem impossible  and it actually requires alot of dedication.

It’s possible in online casino if you can set time lock to your funds outside the casino. Staking with fixed date is one example. Lock your funds for 1 day while your gambling funds deposit in the casino. This way you are only relying on your gambling funds and there’s no chance to have an excess gambling expenses if you loss for the day.
1069  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |20% RAKEBACK TO ALL|SLOTS|SPORTS BETTING|70% RAKEBACK RUSH HOUR on: May 12, 2023, 04:07:09 PM
Old complaint, sorry for the misunderstanding. It's just strange that blackjack.fun blocked access to my account right after the KYC request - all I could see was the "KYC blah blah blah" notification, so I couldn't even take a screenshot of my balance. This has never happened to me at any other casino.

Your account is not blocked but temporarily disabled since it's under KYC verification. Although another casino allows you to still use your account when in KYC verification state but still you can do anything inside aside from browsing. This is a standard procedure of the casino for all the players that undergoing KYC verification and not only your case.

btw my total winnings are only about $400, and I was still required to go through KYC Grin

400$ profit is already huge also it's not about the amount but on what you do to get it. Blackjack.fun recently attacked by cheaters that play specific games and manage to win consecutive profits. They are just making sure that their games are not abused just like before. Stirring the issue will not gonna give you more profit are change the outcome of your case. Just trust the team since they are here for a long time with good reputation.

1071  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting into the hands of Web3 users|can we design DEX for sports beting? on: May 11, 2023, 02:50:51 PM
This kind of discussion should be posted on your ANN thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5450576.msg62165818#msg6216581. because the topic is just circulating on your casino use case. Creating a separate thead to promote your casino is not allowed because this can be considered as duplicate topic. You should be cautious on doing this kind of thread or else the moderator might punish you for violating the rules.

If you want to create a discussion on a particular topic. Make sure that it didn't mention your services such as promoting it because doing this will just advertise your casino instead of a discussion. You free to do all of this on your own ANN
thread. Your project is nice btw. Lock this thread or edit your content if you want to continue.
1072  Economy / Reputation / Re: Are they too high quality so easy to rank up? on: May 11, 2023, 06:40:51 AM
But I feel that being able to get merit is very difficult even though there are several threads made for users who want to get merit with terms and conditions that must be obeyed.

Sometimes post of low rank can be easily be ignored for merit because user have higher expectation to merit a post. Also the board you are posting play an important factor on getting merits. Most of merit source hang out on Bitcoin technical discussion or Bitcoin diccusion alone but you need to have a deep learning on how Bitcoin technical aspect in able to join them.

Local is the number one place if you want to start on getting merits since you can easily expressed your thoughts and know what the user preferences since that's your local hangout. You can also use a merit thread like this [Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed by @fillippone or a merit thread on your local board.

There's a lot of active users here that same like you which is eager to earn merits for rank up and possible campaign opportunity. Giving your best effort is must and don’t look on the number of post you made. It's about quality and establishing good/ healthy communication with others that moght potentially gave you a merit.
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: May 11, 2023, 05:46:25 AM
Broadly speaking, it's not just bitcoin or crypto, but it's bad for every financial-related market they get into. I see a lot of people condemning this issue while fiat is where they operate in greater volume ( I also want to mention activities like prostitution and drugs ) . More precisely the bad sides in society will still exist in their own way and the means are made to make it easy, so don't look at one negative side and forget about the other side.
Those who wanted to blame mixers and casinos for laundering are those wanted to bring crypto down , so mostly they are from banks and government ,

because the true essence of gambling is to have fun and if there are someone who abuses this system then that is not the casinos fault though now they give wager requirements and something related to hinder those who wanted to use this abuse.

mixers having the same faith but remember that most of us wanted to be kept anonymous and mixers give them this freedom.

To be fair, Mixers and Gambling is being used for mixer in reality. But those blame doesn't need to point directly to the services because it is not designed to cater money laundering. The real culprit is launderer that using the services for their own good without even considering the effect of their action towards the service.

The government has every right to do what’s necessary since its thir job to catch launderer because it's a crime. Currently, mixers is on gray area on how they continue their services without the presence of launderers abusing their services. Gambling is already have a KYC but this method is directly counter to the mixing purposes.

Mixers shoild develop a system to denied all attempts of mixing from a Bitcoin wallet address that is connected to a flagged account for malicious doing.
1074  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcrypto.cr |No KYC Casino & Sportsbook| 200% welcome bonus + 100% reload bonus on: May 11, 2023, 02:11:24 AM
We are going to be KYC free always we are following Costa Rica gambling law and we are not require to ask for KYC

This is a pain in the ass dealing with abusers because surely there are tons of them if you have a bonus that has a lousy requirement. Since you are only relying on IP address. How can you make sure that you will not mixed those abusers tomreal players that using VPN? There is a lot of issue here that a user using free VPN that accidentally use an IP that previously use by abuser. In the end, he is flagged by multiple account. This issue can only be fixed with KYC to verify the difference of their identity.

I still don't your bonus terms but since you are promising a KYC free casino at all times. Why not make the bonus requirements more tighten to prevent abusers and fair at the same time for normal players?
1075  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is Poses a Great Challenge for Delayed Gratification on: May 11, 2023, 02:03:22 AM
That is, delayed gratification isn't as rewarding especially during inflation, recession. I agreed with them. Do you?

Regardless of inflation, delaying your gratification just to purchase a depreciating asset which is a car is not worth it all because its value decreases the moment you purchased and use it. It can’t compensate for the time you missed out with your friends and the happy life that you can have just to purchase this car.

I dream having a car but if took you a long time just to purchase then it means that this kind of luxury doesn't suits you because you can’t afford it without sacrificing most of your precious time just to save. What will happened if the car got damages and need repairs? It will cost a lot and give you a hard time on saving once again just for repairs. Is it worth it to save for a long time just to purchase a depreciating asset??

How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ?

What's the benefits of telling your investment to others? A counter question to your inquiry. We have no obligation to share our investment to anyone because that's personal and very sensitive. I done’t one anyone dipping noses on my money because that's my secret. Making it an open book to everyone will just put your life at risk or danger because jealousy and greed of human.

For all those sharing their investment publicly using their real identity. You should stop doing that since your only purpose for doing that is for bragging with a little bit of encouragement. Investment is better to keep private because its not meant to be shown in public because of human greediness.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: with the high transaction fees btc makes me stronger to hold btc. on: May 10, 2023, 02:30:44 PM
2: my goal of investing in btc is for a long term investment so with expensive transaction fees
makes me stronger holding btc, because my goal is to invest in btc for the long term.

This is self contradictory since your goal is to invest long term then why would you consider a high fee as way to hold? You should wish to have a low transaction since you will purchase more if your goal is really long-term. It's useless to view this way because it only means that your real goal is not long-term since you tend to sell your holdings if the transaction the fee is cheap.

My opinion is you should not look on this attack positively because it reflects negatively to the asset that you are currently invested.

The new event is called “Gems Everywhere 💎”. A gem will popup once you completed wager the required 5000$. The reward on the gem is ramdom upon opening and the admin confirm that its max prize is 5000$. You literally get a total refund if you get lucky on hitting max prize when you lose 5000$ while wagering.  Cheesy

Make sure to opt-in before you play to become eligible for the gems. Complete details is available here https://bcsite.io/GEM

I also thought before that being a participant is a difficult thing to be a participant but it turned out to be my guess wrong and being a participant is pretty easy, it's nice to be a predictor at Bitcasino too.  Cheesy
Why did you think that being a participant in these contests is difficult? You just guess without risking any money and observe whether your predictions were right or wrong. Very simple process!

You can also participate in similar contests too(Ex: Sinbad) for better chances of winning a prize.

Exactly, Probably he doesn't want competition pressure even if the contest is just free. There are user that thinks that they will not gonna win even they still doesn't try. I’m of those users that same like him that doesn't place any prediction but because I always messed up on the deadline since I want to maximize the time before I place my prediction for a close time frame prediction.

My mind is always occupied by my job and I always forgot about the prediction once I browse in the forums new topics. If only the forum has a notification and favorites feature, I’m sure that we can always keep an eye on important contest like this since most of us is not full time here in the forum.

See that either on some casino and mostly it happen on newly launch. Although I can't also name the casino to avoid any trouble but we can all agree that Bitcasino really come up with unique ideas and promotion to entertain their users. And adding prediction contest is already spice up the scene since gamblers have an options to have fun and participate on exciting btc prediction which has is always launch every month.
I’m a player of Sportsbet and Bitcasino. Both of them offers a unique contest that suits to their specialty aside from their regular rakeback and cashback bonuses. The management of this casino know well how to give back some of their profit to the community. This the main feature which top casino have in the forum.

Bitcasino starts the Bitcoin predictor contest hosted by a casino while their sister company sportsbet introduced as the free bet through their contest on weekly basis. They convert their signature campaign to a consistent giveaway that is beneficial for everyone.
