241  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO refuses withdrawals on: March 15, 2024, 02:55:57 AM
I've also encountered similar complaints outside of this forum for the past days. Over Reddit, there are also complaints of not being able to withdraw funds and the lack of immediate response from their support.

Just like here, CEX.io's official representative there also replies, but the answers given, just like here, don't seem to be assuring. They mentioned about the recent surge in the market and how it affects their response time as inquiries have also risen in volume.

I guess you just have to reach out to them through all of their official channels and wait for the reply. I guess there's not much you can do here. Also, avoid spamming them. It won't help.
242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the needful this period and save yourself stress and heartbreak on: March 15, 2024, 01:54:37 AM
As a matter of fact, newbies should have already known these basic dangers in cryptocurrency even before they started buying Bitcoin. It would be dangerous or perhaps even too late in certain cases if it's the other way around. I think being aware of these is a prerequisite.

For example, before a newbie actually invests money in Bitcoin, he/she should have already known that exchanges aren't a place to store his/her coins. Or a newbie isn't ripe yet for investing if he/she is still easily swayed by the enticing yet fake promotions of shitcoins such as their promised growth.

And, if I may add, these fraud and scams are active all the time, not just during bullish seasons.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws? on: March 15, 2024, 01:24:23 AM
I guess it's not really a complex issue because the laws in these countries prohibit gambling in general, if I'm not mistaken. They aren't categorizing different forms of gambling while declaring some to be legal and others to be illegal. It's gambling itself that is illegal.

This must have something to do with their religious beliefs, that gambling is haram, meaning forbidden by Islamic laws. So whether it's online or offline or via fiat or via crypto doesn't matter. All of them are gambling.
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming Legal tender on: March 15, 2024, 12:52:14 AM
For me, it is enough for Bitcoin to be legally accepted as a payment method. It doesn't have to be a legal tender to perform its function. If countries recognize Bitcoin as a currency, that would already be enough.

For Bitcoin to become a legal tender is a long shot, and could even just be considered as an extra mile. Bitcoin doesn't have to be a legal tender for businesses and customers to accept it as payment. I think it is enough catalyst for Bitcoin's adoption rate for a government to declare it as an acceptable currency.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc new oil for USA on: March 15, 2024, 12:27:25 AM
Although the US government holds billions worth of Bitcoin, they aren't really investing in it. These coins are proceeds from their seizures of coins believed to be involved in illegal activities. Until now, the US government doesn't recognize that Bitcoin is a great investment choice.

Forget about BlackRock; it isn't the US government. And BlackRock doesn't own the Bitcoin that it has. These are funds of BlackRock clients. BlackRock doesn't have the authority over these funds. Furthermore, BlackRock's clients are from all over the world. They aren't exclusively US investors.
246  Economy / Economics / Re: Boycott of Chinese products and economic relations - when ? on: March 15, 2024, 12:06:03 AM
I don't think this will happen soon. And I don't think it is easy to avoid trades or products from China. As a joke would have it, god created the world and everything else is made in China.

I am a citizen of a country that is also at the receiving end of the red country's bullying. There are certain calls for boycotting of products imported from China, but as much as I wanted to participate in it, it simply isn't possible. You only have to look around in your house to realize that everything came from that country. Even inside your fridge, fruits and fish and other food are from China.

The top trading partner of Saudi Arabia is China. US only comes second and it only supplies half of what China is providing to the top Arab country. Further, the entire 21 MENA (Middle East and North Africa) countries have China as their top trading partner.
247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I’m new :) Welcome Me on: March 14, 2024, 03:14:52 AM
Hey, welcome to the forum!

You must have explored the forum one way or another within those 4 years of hanging around the edges, so you're not a total stranger of what's happening here.

If you're after Bitcoin knowledge, obviously you explore the section dedicated to it: the Bitcoin section. The section is further divided into separate boards and child boards for specific discussions and topics. So depending on which specific areas of Bitcoin you're interested in, you could focus exploring on boards dedicated to, say, mining or technical development or wallets or others.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might reach $100k before halviing. What is your exit strategy? on: March 14, 2024, 02:20:38 AM
My exit strategy is not to exit. Anyone else following this strategy? Huh

How I wish I could fully adopt this strategy as well, but I simply can't afford, at least for now. So, at most, I can only do this partly, then gradually until I can do it fully. For now, I have to have a semi-exit strategy. I have to convert some if the price goes 6 digits and beyond. I need to start businesses and when I have different sources of stable income, I can fully commit to a non-stop hodling of my Bitcoin.

But I won't ever make a full exit. I won't be draining my wallets of everything. I will only be spending what I need. The rest stays. I guess this is my exit strategy.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 years ago, WHO announced the pandemic, whole markets crashed on: March 14, 2024, 01:45:37 AM
That's not even the interesting point. If we look back, Bitcoin was actually somehow insulated from the effects of the pandemic.

We don't have to look forward 4 years later to see Bitcoin recovering from the pandemic and making new records. After the announcement of the outbreak, the price went down, yeah, but not too low. It wasn't even continuous. There was an immediate reaction, from the shock. That's understandable as the entire global economy was affected by it. But things were already starting to look better after just a couple of days, not 4 years later.

The recovery started immediately. And within that year alone, the previous ATH was already broken. From that point onwards, new ATHs were registered until reaching its peak in November of 2021. The new ATH was more than x3 of the previous ATH. And it was recorded just around a year and a half from the announcement of the pandemic.
250  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CryptoVortex (ENG) — Exchange your crypto fast and without fees. on: March 14, 2024, 01:21:22 AM
We are on BestChange!

CryptoVortex — your reliable partner for crypto exchanges can now be found on one of the most popular exchange monitoring services, BestChange.

We invite you to share your feedback: bestchange.ru/cryptovortex-exchanger.html

Well, congratulations for making it to BestChange, but so far your status remains unavailable. Data such as reserves, rates, and others are all blank.

Also, you might want to start being active here. This is your thread but you don't even care to respond to some legitimate concerns of users here.

"Without fees" and "We do not apply any additional fees." are contradictory lines. And to say that AML is "necessary only for fiat transactions" but it also applies to "assets that did not pass AML check" is also contradictory.

You have misleading statements.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: March 14, 2024, 12:26:46 AM
I keep betting on Mobile Legends matches, but I never played it. I understand the game a little because I used to play DOTA II and there are a lot of similarities, but I really don't understand the specific rules, skills, characters, strategies, and so on.

But since it is a popular game here and I love betting, I ended up betting on it. I make bets on both big Mobile Legends tournaments and local matches in the neighborhood. As a matter of fact, just the other day I lost my bet when my friends challenged players from another village.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 14, 2024, 12:06:07 AM
So how is your post made years ago right? Yeah, the price of Bitcoin right now is above $73,000, but did your post in any way predict this? Despite the rise in the price of Bitcoin since then, your post remains wrong. Everyone laughed at you back then, when the price of Bitcoin was around $5,000, because of your tinfoil hat. And if you insist that your post proved to be right in the end, everyone would still be laughing at you. By the way, did you buy at $5,000 in 2020?
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is BSC (bep20) chain? on: March 13, 2024, 03:22:17 AM
Thanks for all the answers!
Then which chain should I use to store USDT?

In Bitcoin, you should own real coins, and real coins are only those coins that are in the Bitcoin blockchain. Bitcoin in KuCoin and other centralized exchanges aren't real coins. Bitcoin in other blockchains aren't real coins as well.

As regards USDT, it is issued on several chains. There's USDT issued on Ethereum, Tron, EOS, and so on. But the question isn't really relevant when it comes to USDT. The reason why you should own real Bitcoin is that it is the only way for you to truly own and control it. Nobody can take it from you.

This doesn't apply to USDT, however. Whether you have USDT issued on Ethereum or Algorand, whether you're keeping USDT in centralized exchange or hardware wallet doesn't really matter much because you can never have full ownership and control over it. USDT is centralized. USDT can freeze your tokens anytime.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 13, 2024, 02:46:48 AM
In the first place, what can you invest if you don't save? The main problem with a lot of people is not that they're saving more than they're investing; it's that they're spending all of their money without saving. I think everything starts from saving. Your investment comes from it.

Also, investment and savings are sometimes interchangeable. One can save in Bitcoin instead of fiat, right? Savings doesn't specifically refer to fiat, I believe. Is it possible for somebody to save by way of pieces of land rather than bank accounts?
255  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 0xbc1.io - Innovative crypto exchange service on: March 13, 2024, 02:11:52 AM
I actually do not like it when projects are incomplete in preparation but hasty to announce. If I were to announce a project and having known how here works, I'll definitely have to remain calm until everything is matured before I'll go live.
I like the domain name and if they be serious with the project they can penetrate the industry as fast as possible.

It could have been better if OP made it clear from the beginning that the exchange is currently under development, and everybody is encouraged to make suggestions and recommendations to make sure the product is appealing to the public by the time it launches. But it isn't the case. There's already such line as "0xbc1.io is available anywhere, anytime." It isn't even finished.

Anyway, I don't think the domain name is that relevant. It's the features, the UX, that matter.
256  Economy / Exchanges / Re: need help crypto p2p exchange to rub on: March 13, 2024, 01:39:07 AM
Binance P2P doesn't support the Russian ruble, but RUB is supported by KuCoin P2P, Bybit P2P, and others. If you don't want to undergo KYC, which these exchanges require, you might want to check Hodl Hodl. It also has buy and sell offers in RUB. But it's expected to have low volume. Bisq doesn't have volume on RUB, but you might want to start some activity there. You can also offer trades here, particularly in the Russian local board.
257  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there a place for medical discuss? on: March 13, 2024, 12:51:12 AM
If it's a medical discussion that somehow touches the areas of blockchain or smart contract or anything that might involve technologies associated with cryptocurrencies, then it might fit in other boards. However, if it's strictly a discussion about medicines, illnesses and diseases and their cures, scientific breakthroughs relating to these, and so on, that might just be categorized under Off-topic. But I think it could also be opened under Serious Discussion.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't become a big investor by public opinion. on: March 13, 2024, 12:30:03 AM
Back in 2009 and 2010, I think Bitcoin wasn't yet an investment. The image of Bitcoin right now as a rising asset class has not yet pervaded the public. Those were the years when joining Bitcoin means really understanding Bitcoin. And I think understanding Bitcoin was the main factor why they're into Bitcoin. Some might have been testing it for fun. But I guess they all have technical appreciation of the technology. If they kept Bitcoin, it wasn't mainly because it was an investment but because they were rooting for it.

Right now, people are into Bitcoin merely because of the buzz, the hype. Bitcoin is the talk of the town. Predictions, opinions, analyses, and so on about Bitcoin are all over the internet, television, and others. It's probably the herd mentality that's working right now.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 13, 2024, 12:07:11 AM
I think the last time I saw Munguia fight was when he was an undercard in Canelo's fight. He was a young boxer who seemed innocent yet brutal. He was a rising star. And then I've forgotten about him. I'm now surprised he's now 43-0 and not yet making a huge name. Perhaps because he doesn't have a loud mouth?

But this is his break. He's expectedly an underdog. At +420, it seems he is expected to lose. But I'll be rooting for him this time. I just hope his youth means he's got a lot of stamina to keep Canelo at bay all throughout the fight. We all know Canelo will always be in front of you and won't make you rest. The pressure will be there the entire fight. Munguia should make the most of his height and reach and maintain the distance.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have known Bitcoin and other currencies since 2014 on: March 11, 2024, 03:33:48 AM
There's no point saying you've known Bitcoin ahead of others if you failed to believe in it. Or you probably just heard about Bitcoin but not really know it or understand it, because if you did know and understand Bitcoin back then, you would have bought some.

As others are saying, we all buy Bitcoin at a price we deserve. You can go ahead and buy now. It's not anymore as cheap as it was in 2014 but there's still a lot of room for the price to grow. Personally, I'm convinced that $100,000 will be reached within the year.
