I fear for ETH future, almost all smart contract projects are using the PoS staking algorithm but only ETH PoW stands alone, this makes ETH different and one of a kind smart contract project, I think vitalik buterin will regret is decision after ETH goes PoS.
They wont be staying on 2nd ranking coin in the entire market for nothing even though they are in PoW but doesnt mean that its shit.The only thing i do see for it to be shit is on the fee issues. We've been suffering from high Gas for a long time already which im not surprised that most projects are using other blockchains and not staying with erc20 which i could not blame them off. Its because they see it as an investment and they believe that if they will hold some of it, it will yield them some profits. Its kinda disappointing that Bitcoin sees by most of the investors as an investment rather than a currency but there is nothing we can do since its pretty obvious that Bitcoin is going upwards all throughout the whole 13 years of its existence. Bitcoin right now is more of a store of value rather than a currency (main purpose). Not many stores are accepting Bitcoin too that is why holders tend to just hold it maybe to give profit to them or to be used in the future to buy something. Well it does matter if everyone wants to hold or use it in a transaction, as long as bitcoin has gained mass adoption, the value could be increased and surely will get the benefit. This is because the investors want to hold for a value and to have profit, there are so many bitcoin hoarders who are waiting at the right time when they will have a profit. However, we have a right to whatever we do on our bitcoin, either you will choose to spend or to store value and it is up to you. But the chances of accumulating while it is cheap will perhaps you will be misled. Some would really be minding about circulation but majority would really be minding about long term recognition or adoption which some are really focused on. One thing that kind of drives me crazy is I don't remember exactly when or how I discovered bitcoin. I know that it was either late 2013 or early 2014, but I can't specifically remember when or how. I have a few email records from late 2014 which prove that I knew of bitcoin from back then, but they do not provide any clues as to how I discovered it.
So how about you, when and how did you discover bitcoin? What were your initial thoughts? Did you think negatively of it at first discovery and change your mind, or did you always think it was a great idea?
