1441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 05, 2023, 07:59:16 PM
There are perfect timing to hodl and that time is when bitcoin is doing some bad movement since bear market hit so bad, maybe by this time its better time to decide on when to take you positions then use this one for long term holding.
Buying right now is pretty good as Bitcoin's decline from the last ATH has been around -70% and this is certainly a pretty deep drop. If you're still not sure, then wait for the next decline (if the market doesn't show signs of being bullish).

Bad timing to hold is doing it when bullish season is at the peak because you want more or think that there will be more pump to come since this one will make you a bag holder or even a huge loser since for sure correction times will happen anytime at that situation.
When the bullish time occurs and the candle has shown the needle up, never buy because of FOMO, it will only make your losses increase and hold it long enough to recover from the previous price. but currently, there are no bullish signs yet. the market tends to stagnate and will probably experience a recovery in 2023. let's wait for what will happen next.
The current price is indeed not a bad spot for you to buyback or make out some accumulation because in making up some comparison into those previous bear markets then it is really that significant
percentage drop which we could assume out that we might be already at the bottom or near on it which means that it isnt a bad spot for us to make such move.Although, there are
really just people who do decide to wait up further just because they are really that believing that there is still more drops to come, its not something that we could know ahead
but its up to someone whether they would take up the risk or not.
1442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 04, 2023, 11:52:36 PM
Nah, I won't trust an AI to pick on sports betting. If it were that easy. The majority should be making money now from sportsbetting which can lead to the bankruptcy of casinos, but it is not. That is enough to prove that you can not depend your bet in AI. I'd rather do my research and used my own instinct which is always a better thing to do.
Casino or Sports book businesses would really be shutting that AI if ever it would really be that effective on making it use on the games that they are offering. Its just common sense that it doesnt really work.
If ever someone do make use of it and turns out to be a win then its just on pure chance and cant solidify nor able to prove out that it does work.Just the rest been saying  that if you are really that curious
on how it looks or on how it would result. It would be better if you do rely with your own knowledge when it comes to betting and it would be finding more enjoyable and entertaining.
1443  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: January 04, 2023, 10:50:27 PM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?

Unfortunately 2022 was a year of great upheaval, just as it looked like the world was getting out from the shadow of Covid and on the path to recovery, Russia decided to create the first war in Europe since WW2. This seriously impacted on peoples ability to save, especially those on the lowest wages who were getting squeezed from all sides - fuel costs, housing costs, food costs, etc. In stable times the breakdown you gave might work, but in great inflationary times it can often be hard for salaries to keep up with all the external cost pressures. Hopefully Putin is overthrown and peace can once again be brought back, which fosters creativity instead of destruction for old men.
Even if War would be over it couldnt still able to resolved out about these inflation and other economic problems but somehow at least it is really that being lessen and make things a bit lighter but it doesnt
meant that it would be already solved out and this problem would still exist. Its true that if you are that someone who do solely rely on income or salary on a day job which those amounts are already
sufficient for your daily living then saving up some money is close to impossible or something that cant really be done.It might not be hard on some people to save up but in most people then its
a challenging one.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: January 04, 2023, 10:13:03 PM
I am a bit confused here. I thought that Manny Pacquiao retired from professional sports after his loss to Yordenis Ugás. He announced his retirement on 29th September 2021. After that he has been involved in exhibition matches, but has refrained from professional fights. So the new contract with RIZIN means that he will return to professional sports? Isn't he a bit too old for that? And also, RIZIN mostly concentrates on MMA, but so far Pacquiao has given no indication that he will try his luck with that particular sport. It's really confusing.

I'm not surprised though, his camp already said that DK Yoo will be their test subject on whether or not Pacquiao needs to continue his boxing career. However, Rizin being mostly MMA promotion, I think Manny will use this to have more exhibition matches against MMA fighters. It could not only mean that his back on professional boxing matches. But who knows, let's see what his next moves are.
I do have in mind that once a boxer do make out some retirement then they wont really be able to come back but i was wrong.LOL
https://www.essentiallysports.com/boxing-news-who-are-the-boxers-who-came-back-to-fight-again-after-retirement/

So there are actually boxers who had retired and made out some come back but as expected the results arent really that goes to plan.
So there are probabilities that Pacquiao would be going back too?
1445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: January 04, 2023, 09:49:11 PM
To be fair, centralized exchanges are still very important to us. Without them, we would have actual difficulty trading as well as converting between crypto assets and converting to fiat would be very difficult. I agree that the collapse of FTX is a stain and brings a lot of bad reputation to CEX, but we need to recognize that FTX collapse does not mean Binance or Huobi will collapse, they have been in the market for a long and before FTX.
Yes, not all centralized exchanges are trash, we shouldn't lump them together.
That's what I mean, everybody can't put all the centralized exchanges together because it's just one of the many tarnished centralized exchanges in the last year. Moreover, in terms of the interests of each person, a centralized exchange must still be considered important because it has several features that can benefit many people so this should not be confused with FTX which only gives bad value to the exchange and tarnishes itself in the eyes of many people.
It is true that not every exchange is FTX and not every CEO is SBF, but make no mistake every single exchange is a potential point of failure, especially in a market that was supposed to be decentralized and that is now the house of many centralized institutions and coins, and this is because those centralized institutions if pressured will sacrifice the ideals behind this market, something we have already watch them do many times before.
You cant really blame out people not to make out some generalization because this is the main platforms on which we do mainly trusting up with our coins since we would be making out some trades and making up some
conversions and there are some people do make it as their main wallet (totally a foolish thing to do).Somehow with the recent events we do really make ourselves that do become that aware on what
are the probabilities and possibilities for these things to happen. This is why trying out to adjust and make yourself that free flowing on whatever things that would encounter along the way.
Speaking about holiday season then its not always on every year we do significant movement and this current one is no different.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Factors that contribute to form addictive gambling. on: January 04, 2023, 08:48:21 PM
Casinos are setup as mazes to try and keep you in them. They also have women dressed scantily clad and a lack of clocks. These things all contribute to people spending more time in casinos than they might have otherwise. It’s the name of the game… I’m not sure places can be held accountable for these sorts of practices though. It’s pretty commonly known these sorts of things are in play.
Yes. These are just part of the game
As a business then you would really be finding ways for you to make more money and there's no such thing about being held accountable just because the place doesnt have a clock nor having free alcoholic drinks.
Once you do step your foot into the building then it is clear that you had really decided to go in the place and dealing up on things that you would really be able to encounter. In a casino then it would
really be just normal that they would really be trying to keep a player as long as possible and spending tons or lots of money on their bets is on what they do trying to target
out which its not something new.
1447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 03, 2023, 11:54:57 PM
Those who've seen previous bear markets, survived several winters, please share some hope and courage.
This is not the end, right? Smiley

Don't rush into the market, the market can dip further instead invest in stages through Dollar cost averaging. We're in a bear market so everything can lead to a negative effect because the whole sentiment of the market is that it'll dump. News that should naturally pump a coin mightn't have any effect on the price of the tokens or it gets dumps as people try to take profits as they sell the news (which is very common in the industry).

Go get a job outside cryptocurency if you make most of your money from  the industry either through trading or investing. Go get a job that can help put food on the table so you don't panic and sell your investment to take care of urgent needs. Or better still, keep fiats that can be used if you aren't okay with working for others.
DCA is what we do all trying to advise on but to mind that not all does have the money for us to do so or from time to time and we know that bottom price isnt something known or could be predicted which means
even if you do buy on gradual basis on way down and we do know that we cant really be having that infinite amounts. If you've done already your step on DCA'ing and the market still crashes
then you would really be having those doubts and fear but once you have done this step and consideration then i could say that you are someone who do
really make out such good steps at least.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $128,000 and it's been a week waiting for game provider verification on: January 03, 2023, 10:55:19 PM

On a completely different note, the number of replies here that were completely ridiculous and rude is unbelievable. How the hell could I be trying to scam anyone by sharing a story, not to mention one where I am sharing the fact that I wasn't paid out a win!? Um, okay!
So have you accepted that offer? if yes then best to close this thread now because there are nothing to furthermore this topic and issue.

but if Not ? then what is the update for the case you provided? but if I were you, accepting that 5k offered would be much better than nothing .

If the prize is 125k accepting 5k is just too little. Better than nothing, ok, but still unfair.

Would be great to have an update from the OP so we can understand better what happened afterwards and if the situation was solved or not

No reason to be rude as well
OP didnt logged in since Nov 20 on last years which we could presume that he might already get that payment or had just simply moved on and never come back to make out some updates
which is really that very common on this forum. Speaking about getting 5k out of 128k is not really justfiable but if ever you had been offered something like this then its better to get
something rather than on getting nothing at all.It would really be a truly disaster if ever happens to someone on winning huge but cant able to withdraw and this is why
its important that you should deal up with legit casinos.
1449  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: January 03, 2023, 09:49:00 PM
Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?
The annual interest in banks are too low, it's like you're letting your money sleep without gaining anything. Well, it's good to have savings but that's huge to just entrust to bank, they're the only one benefiting to your money by giving loans to their borrowers. Anyway, if i'm in such situation having $100k savings, I will invest the money in Bitcoin and gold and leave 10% in bank for emergency. Investing is always the wise decision but remember to only invest in things you have knowledge with and you're aware of the function.
I would rather invest my money too than to let the bank alone benefit from my hard-earned money. Maybe I will leave 20% in the bank so that in times I run out of cash for my allowance or for emergency funds, I can easily withdraw some amount. And then the remaining 80% will be used to invest in bitcoin, gold, and establish a local business that will also get high demand from its consumers. But the higher allocation is for bitcoin, as it’s the most profitable one yet the most risky to take. With patience and resilience, success will never be too hard to achieve.
If you are that someone whose afraid to take up some risk when it comes to investment then most likely you would really be storing up your cash in banks but its true that instead on letting it park or idle
then it would really be ideal if you would really be that make it work or move via those investments to make more income and make more savings. You would really be finding yourself to be
on having no hardship or challenges when it comes to money if you do have other sources of income rather than on making yourself reliant on one source.
If you do like on that way then so be it but its not something that recommendable.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 03, 2023, 08:50:31 PM
Which of these categories do you belong to and why?
Could neither be on the two but most of the time i would be considering myself to be a lone bettor and doesnt really mind about on things which other bettors been saying about their analysis and stuffs.
Just like on what most people been saying here that it would be more better if you are the ones who do make out such analysis and betting it basing on that which it wont really be that something
bad and incase you do lost that certain bet then you wont really be having that feeling of regret since you have lost on your own way and methods.Unlike when you do make out some
bets basing up on others analysis would really be giving out that vibe or feeling of regret.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE RIGHT TIME TO MOVE IN on: January 02, 2023, 10:19:53 PM
Another Bitcoin halving is expected to come in 2024. As it has been in the last two Bitcoin halving, the bull run follows. As we anticipate another Bitcoin halving, when is the right to buy in and stock up Bitcoin in order not to be left behind in the next bull market?
Yes, everyone is really rooting for that next halving on which people do believe about having those bull runs but we shouldnt really make ourselves that too much optimistic or hopeful because we might not be able to
see those bull runs or might be too soon, but no one really knows right? Speaking about moving in or accumulation then its up to your own choice because no one really knows on what the future looks like,
whether it would really be having that huge price pump or bull run. Some are really that too negative but cant really blame them considering that we are sitting on a bearish market for
soo long and this is why it does affect their own perspective and impressions.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: January 02, 2023, 08:59:31 PM
I only see in land casinos cash gambling looks ancient and online gambling has become a trend nowadays
Well, still both are on trend.

No matter what happens to the new trend, cash will still be there and won't be removed. The land/physical casinos have to consider the demand of their customers, if they want to accept and withdraw through cash, they have to keep that method.

The best thing is to have all types of payment methods. Just like the crypto casinos these days, they've got most options for deposits and withdrawals, fiats and cryptos.
the trend in my country because our government prohibits gambling and land casinos so that online casinos are a better trend than land casinos, therefore I say land casinos are more ancient because they use cash, everyone needs convenience and a shady place to play gambling as long as they are connected on the internet, maybe in a free country both have the same trend
In free country, all of the options are there.

It's good to see them adopt both things because it's a matter of what's in demand and what's not. There's also a chance that they may adopt other payment methods if they just want to test it out.

But for countries where gambling is prohibited, well, no need to address the thing because the government isn't allowing so.
WE are talking about countries does have allowed for these type of businesses to run on certain vicinity which it would be understandable that they would really be needing to get along with the rules and guidelines.
and taxation is one, if ever they would really be strictly imposing about those cashless gambling then there's nothing they can do but to integrate it or else they wont really be able to operate.
Of course they would really be minding about taxing not only on casinos but also in other businesses as well.It just turns out that there are lots of ways for it to be bypassed
for these platforms not to pay up taxes and this is why they do have end up with this idea.
1453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 02, 2023, 07:55:51 PM
Believe in revenge trading as you say it will make the losses even bigger. Why? because they are trying to recover losses as long as they are losing in trading, and that means they are still controlled by high emotions because of the disappointment of what has happened to their money when trading before. I say this because revenge is a negative context, as I said above.
I think everyone wants to get their money back after losing money, but there is a strategy to be followed. Remain calm and do it slowly, because if we do it in a hurry, it will not be the profit that we get, but the losses that will be even greater.
When you are on the conditions on which you are already making use of your emotion in towards your decision then it would really be resulting into that desperation and you wont
really be already following those analysis that you have made out just because you are already tolerating your emotion and the ones who would be in control which is something not really that recommended
for you to do so. Losses are inevitable since market is unpredictable but doesnt mean that you should really make yourself that impulsive because it could really stir
up your mind for whatever decisions you had made out earlier this is why its needing up that self control when it comes to this instance.

1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 30, 2022, 11:56:24 PM

So what do you think about this cashless gambling, is this another breakthrough of the gambling industry or just a way of the government to track their citizen and earn from the gambling establishment.
They are just taking another step just for them to filter out thoroughly for these establishments wont be able to bypass or skip out on paying taxes or simply those obligation.I would rather say that this would really be a

desperate move if ever they would be implementing out that cashless gambling or simply trying out to link up all of your bank accounts and credit cards with this.Of course we do know that everything could be checked and could be seen. There's no way you could really hid yourself on this kind of system and this is where crypto gambling would really be more relevant or would be in demand because
not all gamblers would really be that accepting this kind of terms.
This is really an appreciable move from the government to increase its revenue. Same time it is good in another way, as it is possible to see good number of people moving towards the usage of cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms for their gambling needs. This gives the users the best experience as well as there is no need of fearing the government's plan to make money.
If we do just look on the good side of things then we can say that getting more revenue or tax will really be something that brings up positive for economic aspects. Its true that if this one would be strictly be imposed
then pretty sure that people would really be switching up on crypto gambling which there's no way that you would be needing up to link your cards or banks or making yourself that identity to be exposed.
Its true that not all would really be t hat confident on exposing their identity or someone who do really value their anonymity or privacy simply.
1456  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 30, 2022, 10:19:12 PM
In this scenario, i think any one that call it's self investors supposed to know that it's supposed to buy and store now that Bitcoin is having challenges in the market, so i believe that should sometimes we will consider that Long term investment is the thing that gives profit in cryptocurrency investment, but some people doesn't know that such is in existence. Holding a coin for long time is matter of endurance and patience, and many people has become a billionaire because of the risk taking to hold coins with patients in long term

If we are into playing safe, Holding is the best thing to do especially during the bear season. But we can't say it was the most profitable strategy as we also consider what coin we are holding. Maybe if that is Bitcoin and ETH it is definitely not impossible but if are just holding shitcoins and hype coins, we can never expect from them.
As we are here in crypto, I think we need to learn how to extend our patience because not all the time the market is good. Sometimes we got under pressure but we need to stay focused and do what is best.

Even holding doesnt guarantee 100% safe investment strategy although the risk would really be that minimal compared when you are really making active engagement when it comes to trading.
There are people who cant really just bare up with the risk which is something not that surprising.Even myself do consider on holding because im not really that much interested nor really that
afraid when it comes to certain risk. You cant really just make yourself that too confident on things which you dont actually have no idea on what you would gonna do.
Its up to your choice which path you would gonna take.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 30, 2022, 08:28:19 PM
I follow Duelbits Christmas giveaway since day one and I still can't find the challenge that I know that I can win.

Does completing bonus is still possible and profitable or it's just like chasing the wind?

since you mentioned duelbits and christmas giveaway then in my experience there are several challenges that are not difficult to follow such as betting on a World Cup match with a bet amount of $ 10 with min oods 1.5 to get freespins, also deposit cashback which before changes apply was quite profitable and lucky to be able to get completing these challenges get prizes and also win in slots.
But I rarely chase casino bonuses because the requirements are very high, so in my opinion players have to be careful and take into account all the possibilities that can be achieved, but more than that, they must be prepared to lose.
Actually I never go for gambling bonuses as I never see it necessary as well. Because it’s still another way of making the house more profitable since you can’t play them free without spending the required amount. So it’s like spending money and lose them eventually. However, there might still be lucky winners possible, but we don’t know the amount they lose before they achieved winning from free spins.
If we do already know those wagering requirements or threshold then you would already lost up interest specially if you do have experienced it back in the past.No matter how it would be good looking
or really that generous then it wont really be that much different and it would really be still needing for you to reach up that particular requirement before you could able to make up some withdrawal.
It is really just that hard and if you arent that lucky enough then you wont really be able to make through until you do bust up all of your gambling account balance.
You would surely be not to turn your head into those bonuses if  you do have that unpleasant experience on it.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attributing wins or loses during gambling/betting to Ego or Simply Intuition. on: December 29, 2022, 11:49:43 PM
When i do tend to gamble then it is really surely pertains about my mood whether im into it or simply there are days which i dont really feel on making out some bets.
If im stressed nor really that get bored, there are other things comes up into my mind to distract myself on such situation but if those things arent possible due to some factors which i cant able to do
so then the last option would be doing gambling as this isnt really that my priority and if i do see that i have some funds or money to spare then i would definitely be
playing.Doesnt mind off about ego or intuition because it all matters on my mood and interest on that certain point.
Yes. Our own mood usually determines whether its best to gamble or not. Otherwise, forcing ourselves to gamble even if we know there is something wrong within ourselves will only make the situation worst and will mostly end up our betting into the losing end. So when I gamble, that is the time I’m feeling positivity and lucky and hopeful that I would be in profits and attract more winnings.
Some people do believe on that law of attraction on which if you do find yourself to be that on positive on winning then you do have that luck on winning the game but its not something that we should bare up
in our minds because it would really just bring out that frustration instead. When doing gambling then this would be particularly means about your own mood, if you do gamble just because you are that sad
or stressed from your work and  then you do experience losses then it would really worsen the situation. Some people could able to bare it up and some people doesnt really able to do so but rather becomes even more worst.
1459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 50% Down Move Incoming? on: December 29, 2022, 10:52:32 PM
In 2015 January, we had mt.cox collapse and in 2018 December we had BCH-SV fork and these 2 incidents led 50% down fall in quicker time.
So, in last 2 cycles, 50% fall happened at the end of bearish trend? I am also sure that for the current market sentiment, if any negative news happens right now then we can see a bloodbath easily unlike at the beginning of the same bearish trend. Moreover, I guess it would be easier that any big negative news is capable of dragging bitcoin market up to 50% regardless of beginning or end of bearish trend.

The good thing is, even after a 50% collapse at the end of bearish market, we bounced back; so I agree that we do not need to worry but we can be glad as we are about to sail on green market in real soon.
The best thing is that the price do able to held up that strong and we've been expecting below 10k or lesser which is really that too much imho if we do compare it out on how
far we do able to reach out in speaking about ATH and ATL comparisson.Although not all history or things in the past do significantly that makes on what things could happen in the future.
Yes, we can really make out some patterns but it wont really be that 100% precise for it to be true or something that we could really rely upon.
If you've been making out investment on this market then make yourself that prepared.
