2421  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] First 500Gh/s BFL unit up and running! on: June 19, 2013, 04:40:52 AM
Fellow Bitcoiners,

It has been a long road to get to this point but I am pleased to announce that the first 500Gh/s BFL units have been delivered and are happily hashing away as I type this. This is a huge milestone for BFL and shows their continued efforts to fulfill their promises to customers.

The picture above shows multiple FPGA minirigs along with 1 ASIC minirig.

The rig will be up and down for the evening while conman works to get cgminer fine tuned with the new firmware.

Best,
James

Congrats. Smiley

I suspect its also balancing out long time members that only post when they feel its beneficial to the forum.  Too bad it can't also recover months of lurking before registering.   Wink

I make the effort to read other members previous posts in an attempt to evaluate their community participation.  This helps me avoid those that wish to exploit others for personal gain.
2423  Other / Meta / Re: Posting History... on: June 18, 2013, 08:54:22 PM
It's counting the number of days you've been posting instead of # of posts.

Most people can not tell that some people have just started participating recently and then give them the wrong impression about how trustworthy the account user may be in relation to overall project participation.

This sounds like a fun project.

I will forward this to a few persons.

Great! thanks for your great work

Thanks and feel free to add some suggestions!

Something to consider is that no matter how far out something may be to you (e.g. astrology!) there is an audience out there that might appreciate it and then that gets more eyes on BTC . Networking...

I would also recommend people sit and watch this video.

I do not agree with all aspects of the presentation. However it covers the facts and presents them in a clear and well balanced manner.

However I think it gets good here.

This video covers many important facts about our present world.

The well presented issues in the video may help others realize their place in the present global condition.

One can use this to evaluate the role that Bitcoin plays in helping us manage present world issues.

P.S. In the movie ELYSIUM they have implemented a possible application for the idea that Dr Royal Rife was working on.

Elysium trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=mr5HKrv_y5E#t=28s  this link jumps you 28 seconds into the clip to see it in action.

It is covered in the documentary. The link below jumps you to the section.

"We have been assembling prototypes of Bitcoin miners since 2010, when GPUs used to be the best choice. Going rapidly through some FPGA mining prototypes, we are now selling bitcoin mining devices based on Avalon’s A3256Q48 ASIC mining chip, while in the meantime our Research & Development team is already working on our own, next generation high performance ASIC mining chip."

Bullshits. This deal is similar to TerraHash and BitAxe,hence scam.

I find it incredible how little content is needed for many here to send money out. Looook, they have few PCBs and website, they must be legit!  Cheesy

.... ?

Are you implying that BitAxe.ca is a scam?

ill be going to edmonton within a couple weeks.  i would like to stop by.  PM me and if you are legit i can help you gain trust with the community, cause your current methods are definitely not helping you.

CanadianGuy.

I am not sure you are aware of this however BitAxe has Thermal Images of my defective Avalon Module. They post about a few thermal images of the unit.

It is posted in this thread.

At any rate.

I am looking forward to having my Avalon module repaired.

Thanks for the effort you guys taken to get to the bottom of the problem.
2434  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] HyperX Technologies presents current chip development on: June 04, 2013, 01:01:07 AM

We are not producing it we are just developing the design for it. The manufacturer process will not begin very soon...

So please don't shout here. We are working with the major companies who work with SoC and they are designing it.

Best Regards,
Tomas

Thanks for the heads up keep us posted.
2435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 03, 2013, 11:49:40 AM
did anyone notice the Mars Miner is not on their website?

Seems they are done taking pre-orders.

Also know that the Mars unit was not a normal product offering.

It was only to help with pre-order and confidence on ASIC development success.
2436  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Russia, Bitfury ASIC! on: June 02, 2013, 09:41:58 PM
Well I still don't see anyone linking any reasoning behind why this isn't just a fly-by-night scam, but I guess we can all just hope for the best.

It's not like this is the only opportunity we will get to purchase these asic devices.

Once its confirmed it will be like avalon batch 2 and batch 3 pre-orders.

Hopefully we will know if the Bitfury chips work some time later this week.

If this project does succeed it will be good to further decentralize the network.

I will also be providing cgminer team with access to the unit to get cgminer's code primed for its operation.
