They're just still nothing but a pile of shit, that'd be their second lose in a row, after Dortmund initially equalized, I felt the match would become more opened, but Dortmund were unable to capitalize on their chances, Monchengladbach had just 6 shots on goal but 4 of those were able to find the back of the net. High-pressing and trying to keep Monchengladbach within their own half didn't work well for the visitor, as the home caught them off guard and on the counter attack to put the game beyond their reach. |

thought the same, but it is such an obvious choice now even some AI, that predicted right last three WC winners, provided Argentina as their pick, and Qatar is make them favorites as well so, as I always go with unpopular opinions, I would not go with Argentina, but still undecided between England and Brasil (too long without title for SA) I like Argentina's squad, they look more like a team with a fair distribution across all position, and some new faces too, I believe with the right chemistry the team should go quite far. I really can't say the same for England, there seemed to be a slight sentiment with the team selection with players that a bit of risk and aren't fit yet, but I like their forward selection provided the players I think should be getting more playing especially the likes of Saka and Maddison, but I'm not very convinced with their back line, however it will be dependent of the tactics Gareth Southgate is hoping to deploy, I strongly hope it won't be a typical 4-3-3. |

I was surprised by the odds given to Portland Trail Blazers as an underdog against the New Orleans Pelicans just because Damian Lillard is out. It's a whopping @4 ML odds and the Pelicans @ 1.26. I understand that the Pelicans will be the Favorites but just can't imagine the distance of the odds as Blazers are currently on a hot start this season.
Fans will miss the supposed face-off between Damian Lillard and his former Blazers duo for long, CJ McCollum on their tonight's matchup.
Pelicans -8.5 @ 1.85 should be a good pick. The handicap -6.5 @ 1.57 for them seems not a worthy pick for me.

Real Madrid needed this win after losing points in simple games for them. They were quite effective in the first half and didn't give much chance to Cadiz. But in the second half Cadiz started to have more goal chances. Real Madrid were only 1-0 ahead actually therefore I wonder why Real Madrid started to be complacent this quick. However they still secured a 2-1 win at the end.
It was very difficult for Madrid to win today's match as well. Madrid's performance has deteriorated. They are not playing well. After dropping points in the last two matches, Madrid desperately needed full points in today's match. The Madrid team is stable and strong. But Madrid still has a lot of problems scoring without Benzema. They now need an experienced and regular scorer. Otherwise, Madrid will lose dominance in both the Champions League and La Liga. I doubt most of Real Madrid wins comes out from them dominating the game, at least that might be the case in La Liga, but in the champions league, it's completely the opposite, and even their triumph last season was an absolute testimony to that fact, they were actually completely dominated and all they end up getting is one or a couple of chances that they were able to capitalize on by scoring the goals needed to see them through to next stage, and the final against Liverpool was another instance where they were not in control of the game but some how lifted the trophy, if there is any team that actually plays shit all match long and win games in the end, it's definitely Real Madrid. |

Yeah, that's the irony of the pool, and despite been a relative small pool, no one has one the week twice up till now. I think the point scoring is one of the factors that made the pool a very close one and all that's needed is just one good game week and bang! you're almost at the top of the table. Bayern is taking a winning strike, and title race will soon be over

I have never played fantasy football until now, so where is it better to read about its algorithms and in general what should I do there and what are the criteria for winning?
I will write some columns for Sportsbet on this topic but they will be geared towards players that are already familiar with Premier League Fantasy. I will link or share them here and you just ask if something is not clear to you. I can talk hours about Fantasy so don't hesitate. If you never played Fantasy before just remember if some player is good in real life that does not mean he is good in Fantasy. Read trough the scoring but gist of it is to pick attacking minded defenders like Trent or players that have penalties. Defensive midfielders are usually a big no, so prime Kante is terrible fantasy player even though he is great player in real life. I gotta agree that it's probably the worse fantasy platform or interface I've ever seen so far and I had to download the FIFA+ with the hope it will be somewhat better on mobile, but there is no fantasy section in the app and it only redirects to the website upon clicking on fantasy, but I think I'll get acquainted to it over the next few days after all the teams have been finalized. Oh, and I just realised Firmino is not in Brazil team, it was always going to be tough and I know he's not samba, but I'd have put him in eyes closed for his price/value. I really find it hard to understand why he didn't make the squad, but Richarlison who hasn't been getting much playing time and is probably in a worse match fitness state was able to get a place within the squad. |

Atletico Madrid succumb to yet another defeat, I wonder how long will this go on for before Diego Simeone's job would be at stake ? I don't think he'll finish the season at the club if there are no changes with their performance and most especially the results.
Bear in mind he is also the manager with highest wages in the world. I belive Pep is maybe now making more but he was highest paid for long time. Just to put things into perspective, he is still earning double of what Ancelotti makes in Real Madrid. Makes you really think, especially since even when Atletico did well they played unwatchable football. It's looking worse and worse with every passing game, and not even finally playing Felix is helping the team more than to climb one step up after going back 2 steps down. Oh and yes, Simeone is very very highly paid, but the club and bosses really like him so maybe they're satisfied with continuous Champions League, who knows. Exactly, I understand how well he's been loved by the club and its entire fanbase, but the love came from years of consistency being the third best team after the duopoly of Barcelona and Real Madrid and Atletico more often than have always been up in the title chase too over those period and actually winning the league ahead of those two powerhouses, while also showing that they're a considerable threat to feared in Europe, but with that glory and impression gradually slipping away, it's just a matter of time before the club will consider other alternatives that would appear cheaper, and to think that the club have actually been spending significantly on transfers in recent years. |

It seems that Sevila kept their local derby mindset when starting the game tonight, don't know how else to explain two red cards inside first half. They are already trailing 2:0 against Sociedad and this game is already over. Just a question of how many goals Sociedad will score tonight.

I think Sevilla will probably be proud of themselves for avoiding total humiliation from Real Sociedad by getting back with a goal difference and they were able to keep the defeat marginal. On the one hand, it's cool that we have two super interesting pairs already at the 1/8 stage, on the other hand, this leaves the possibility that there will still be uninteresting games in the 1/4 with a clear favorite. I wouldn't be surprised if City gets the winner of the Brugge-Benfica pair as rivals.
As for Napoli, I agree, but I doubt about Benfica - do you think they are so strong that they can open strong Brugge already in the first game?
I think Benfica has a really easy opponent in this encounter,I say this because Fc Porto which is much weaker than Benfica during this year won 0-4 against them so most probably Benfica can achieve the same without problems. The only problem for Benfica would be if they underestimate them as opponents and if they do it then I am sorry to say but it will be game over for Benfica and not for Club Brugge,it all depends on the clubs mentality,if both clubs gives their 100% then I think Benfica will qualify further. On paper yes, but look at Brugge's results in the group stage - just one defeat and only 4 goals conceded. I can't say that I've seen much of them play, but it seems to me that by playing defensively they can expect at least a draw in both games. And yes, 0-4 is a terrible score, but in the first game Brugge defeated Porto with the same score (it's rather funny that these were home defeats for both teams - they were able to "please" their fans)  What Club Brugge did in the group stage was really mind blowing and unexpected to be honest, but the same can be said of Benfica who was actually paired with both PSG and Juventus, but still didn't lose a single game and even topped the group, I'm not saying it is supposed to be an easy tie for Benfica, as Club Brugge shouldn't be underestimated like @swogerino did, but I would go with Benfica to win the tie, because they've got better players with loads of experience playing in Europe year in year out. |

Big chance for Barca to win today but it will not be easy away from home and I am a bit hesitant to put money on them today.
If you had put some money on the match and watched it as well, it surely would have been a typical game of mixed emotions right from when Barcelona conceded the early and Lewandowski also getting sent off for a second bookable offence, although, I felt it was somewhat harsh, but it rather needless from Lewandowski too especially knowing he was already booked earlier, It was probably Barcelona most impressive win so far this season, coming from a goal down and playing with 10 men for well over an hour against this good Osasuna team. It feels good to know that the team would be heading into the international break at the top of the table and in great spirit. |

If I see a match it will be done with the Home away system. So Barcelona had to make the most of their first game at Cam Nou. They need to be able to make as many goals as possible.
I feel confident that if Barcelona play in Spain, Barcelona will win. Team wise they are better than Man United for now. But the distance of the game is still very far. They will pass the transfer market and the world cup. Maybe there will be a lot of surprises in the transfer market later.

The comparison of the sharpness of the strikers of the two teams also gives Barcelona an advantage, but Xavi must remain wary of Manchester United's strength. Barcelona must use the first leg to score as many goals as possible, Barcelona has also started solid again after the defeat to Real Madrid. Barcelona defense has improved, in fact Ter Stegen has kept 11 clean sheets from 13 games in La Liga. I'm not trying to get complacent with Barcelona so far this season, I understand since the season began there have been some convincing performance from Barcelona while there have also been very abysmal performances as well, but I don't know why feel quite confident ahead of the tie against Man United, I really doubt Barcelona will find it difficult to get past the in the next stage, I would have been more wary of some other underestimated clubs but Barcelona are well aware of the threat Man United would pose, and I don't think it will be very close to what Inter and Bayern Munich displayed. |

Monday night drama if you guys aren't watching, Trejo took a VAR given penalty but Courtois saved to keep the score 2-2 (oh and their manager got sent off too, you know because they like that), but VAR recalled and saw he'd stepped off the line to save it. Retake, scored, and 3-2. All this after I missed first half of 4 goals.
Real are scary. 1 shot on target, 1 goal (1 was a pen). So they really don't need to create chances when playing like shit. Just create goals.
There are going to be more cards than goals in closing 20 minutes...
Rayo Vallecano did Barcelona a solid one there, and I can't argue Real Madrid played well enough to avoid defeat, I often find them to be most luckiest teams in recent because of the numerous comebacks they've record and play utter shit football but still get the win, not tonight though! They had only 2 attempts on goal for the entire game. Despite watching the vast majority of Barcelona's game this season, I haven't particularly been keeping up with the statistic and only got to find out today that Barcelona have only conceded 4 goals from the 13 games played so far, I sure would have argued it was more without having to check. |
