Isak > Wilson decision is arguably the biggest swing i've seen in a long time, 34 points.  If he had scored that last 1v1 against Steele, i could see several Wilson non-owners deleting their FPL accounts. I could've been one of those folks if Raya and Estu hadn't come through for me.  Cheesy  If things don't go your way, FPL can be a cruel game at times. I'm glad this thing is over soon, it's exhausting, as someone mentioned earlier.

Now let's leave Wilson captainers enjoy their ultra, mega, giga, tera haul. A well-deserved win for them!

It is always like that in fantasy. I paid a lot for decision to start the season with Kane instead of Haaland and double Liverpool defense.

After the world cup I made mostly good decisions and climbed from 2M to top 400k but you can never completely erase few bad calls and I lost top spots in all the leagues during first 5 game weeks.

One of the bad decisions lately was to take Steele instead of Estupinan. I did it on purpose to navigate benching in blank game weeks easier but it costed me a lot.

My own biggest was first after the few week I was still sticking with Salah as my captain, while barely having top scorer like Toney and Mitrovic as I wasn't until after the world cup having him for a couple times, and never liking Bruno Fernandes and Guardiola Roulette to was also a damning decision, and now this little rally I've got now seems rather too late, but I've learnt some great lessons, so you all might need to up your game, if we're doing next season, because I'm coming for your heads  Tongue

Jamal Murray is another player as soon as April starts and its not his first year when he goes in beast month after April and during April. Coincidence ? maybe or maybe not but last night Denver really played way better than Lakers and I'm afraid this series is already over. I also saw a tired Lebron that had low energy in  2nd half and also missed some important points.

What do you think guys ? Can Lakers tie this series at 2-2 ? or Denver will make it 3-0

If the Phoenix Suns can even up a 2-0 deficit against Denver Nuggets, I have no absolute reason to believe that the Lakers can't do the same, but the for Denver Nuggets, it's gotta be case of once beaten twice shy, now they need to get one win on the road, then this series would be likely done and over with from there.

Now that the series is headed back to Los Angeles, the major thing the Denver Nuggets needs to avoid is allowing the Lakers get to the free throw with relative ease, Lakers have more free throw attempt in the first two but the differences weren't so significant, but it's likely going to be a whole new different affair in LA, the Nuggets must ensure they attack the rim and get the at least the around the same number of free throws unlike the Warriors taking bad shots and sending the Lakers to line at almost every possession.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2023, 12:38:55 AM
but I am taking the Over 225.5 bet for this game
The public is all on the over as well, but i'm leaning on the under because both teams are hitting most of their shots (almost 55% from the last game). It can still hit, but it's rare for both teams to maintain these percentages.

so for this game my pick is the Denver Nuggets,
I also took the Nuggets moneyline hoping for Stake's promo to bail me out in case it gets dicey like the last game. The spread is tempting, but they're shaky in holding their lead, and it reminded me of their game 2 against the Suns.

I also like the Over 225.5 pick to be honest, but I think we could get a little more defensive approach today, the -5.5 points spread for Denver Nuggets looks like the realest bet to instead, and that's how I'll be riding tonight.

Good Luck!

Brighton's just pulled a goal back -- could we still end up with a Newcastle loss I'm hoping for?

**Sigh**

Its looking like Thursday night football in the arse end of Europe for next season, bro. I guess its what we deserve for checking out for most of the season. Losing to Leeds, Bmouth, Brighton, Wolves, Forest, Brentford has been a real kick in the teeth, we dont deserve to be in the CL.

Sucks but it is what it is. Ill be happy to play the kids & fringe players in the EL and just concentrate on the PL & domestic cups.

Newcastle only need one win now and they play Leicester next Sad
Maybe Ten Hag will choke but I doubt it.
Lets regroup in the summer, buy some midfielders and go again.

YNWA

If there was any game that one would have expected Newcastle to drop points, It should have been against Brighton, but now it's look like they're not going to give up that position, the most would be to expect a flop from Man United, but how probable is that ?, Let's just hope Leicester City can muster up some energy or momentum to get themselves something possible from the game.

with the match freiburg vs. wolfsburg tomorrow already the penultimate matchday of the season starts and so slowly our pool round ends. so that furthermore all participants have the possibility to hand in all their picks in time here now follows the weekly reminder to the following users:
What happened with thread title? It looks rally strange on my end like some strange characters instead of those small graphics. Maybe it is better for you to remove them than leave it like this. I am assuming here that it is general problem and not something that just affect me. All other threads are working fine though so really strange.

I really don't understand the why, I guess he probably edited the thread title...

How fast time flies, but then look at me dropping drastically on the leaderboard after several weeks maintaining the 1st position, I'm probably Arsenal 2.0!

Picking a side now is really so tough!

I wont mind if Brighton get something against Newcastle tonight Wink

Good luck to everybody fighting for the big prizes in the pool.

Damn buddy!

I hate to be the guy that had to do you that way, but then it is what it is right ?

I'm sure you'll be leaving the second division unscathed next season GL man!

I can't believe Real was so humiliated last night.

It was right damn about time that good football should humiliate extreme luck!

This should have played out a number of times over the past few seasons honestly, everyone that's lover of good football over those that'd rather support football with any means of win could attest that Guardiola and Liverpool have teams should have these kinds of games with distinct conviction that good football pays, but the only attribute to their loses is nothing but just a case of being unlucky, and it's played out on several occasion this most recent one would be the case of Real Madrid's victory over Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool, I'm sure quite a few of us here would agree the path to those victories was more of luck paying over good footballing decisions.

So my final statement on that game would be that when you make the best logical decisions in football, it won't guarantee you result every time or most times, but then people will always know good football when they see one, and as the saying goes; "you can't be unlucky forever."

Playoffs Jimmy Butler was at it again, and today it was against the Boston Celtics, the team that eliminated the Heat last, in the finals, so taking game one at the TD Garden is quite very advantageous to the Heat, If the Heat can defend their home court and get the 2 wins they'll play on home court, then that be theirs first step towards the regardless of what happens in the conference final, I definitely they'd stand more than a decent chance against either of them, if they can see off the Boston Celtics, but it's rather just too early to make any form of concrete assertions.

Congratulations, CLS63- You have won this round! That was fast, I don't see this record being beaten in a long time, I was wrong to have gone with Real Madrid it was a massive gamble for me but I had to because I had already gone with Man City 2-1 in the Betnomi CL pool, I wanted to spread my legs to at least get one result. (At least i wont be checking spreadsheet after tonight.)

And big up to me for surviving relegation after a very difficult start to the season, Todd Boehly will be proud.

congratulations everyone I will use this 1-2 weeks break to relax, drink and gamble more Grin Grin

When it comes to Real Madrid you can never be sure until the end of the match. Don't forget about how they eliminated Manchester City in the previous season please. Smiley When we are against each other next season let's make a small bet. I'm really curious about the next match against each other after this many common answers.

That means there is no getting anywhere more than the current 4th position I'm ranked at simply because I needed CLS63 to drop points and myself get a win to stand that chance, and me winning this round against my opponent @LFC_Bitcoin is already a done deal because I have answered all 3 questions so far correctly while he's not got any while, we only have 2 questions from the remaining 8 with different answers, so me getting both wrong wouldn't have any effect on the our result too.

Wow now Djokovic is out too, that tennis question was harder then expected.  Grin Grin Grin
Djokovic so unreliable these days and I knew this would happen but chose to play it safe as everyone was most likely going to be backing the Serbian...Besides if not the Joker who was the best choice nobody Roll Eyes

Anyway better luck next time, and I see a RunX ( Rund or Rune)winning here...

Nah, Djoković  will start winning biggest tournaments very soon. He is just missing proper match fitness due to all the tournaments he missed because of covid regulations.
Thought he had trouble with the Aussies when you talk about  covid, but for this competition he was the defending champion and should have played like it..anyway just have to accept that he won't win every time..

Anyway good thing cryptofrka backed  Djokovic  too Grin

I don't agree that Djokovic is so unreliable because if you've not been playing at any competitive level consistently for a while, you can't expect anymore than this from him honestly, he looked really rusted especially in the first set, but it's just matter of time, if he should get to play a couple of tournament more consecutively, in no time he'd be back to his very best imo.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: May 17, 2023, 06:13:59 PM
I went for them to win in regular time and for Haaland to get a goal and am really looking forward to the game tonight.
Definitely a final before the final.

That's where Rudiger comes in.... he did a fantastic job in the first leg, putting Halaand in his pocket, and the only way Halaand will be free is if Pep plays Alvarez behind him to give him enough freedom to attack in-between space.

Rudiger could be a world class for all we know, but then it will be practically impossible for Rudiger to stop him, Guardiola chose to go with a very conservative approach in the first leg and Haaland wasn't playing those forwards to spread the field for other players to operate, he was more efficient with defensive duties, and helping the defensive line too during every set piece.

It is going to be a very different approach tonight, Real Madrid might get a goal or two but Man City would advance in regular time, and went with neither Haaland nor Benzema to score, but I'd hate either team getting a penalty as that'd be the easiest way for either player.

@Igebotz, yup! 14 hours and our tie was done, fastest loss for me, you're welcome for me saving your ass from relegation. Easiest tennis tip for these H2Hs... just look at the Draw schedule on official websites. All the paths are shown, with whoever's still in play. Just pick yr favourites from the right side of the path.

I'm about to set another one tomorrow cause I'm so convinced that Real Madrid will finish the job tomorrow , I can already imagine Vini and Ben putting on another show of magnificence. Vini and Ben will both score three goals.

I'm not entirely optimistic that Real Madrid be enough to eliminate Man City today, Man City are in very great shape and they also have an incredible run of form, and it's been long they lost any game at the Etihad stadium.

Real Madrid too can never be underrated, based of one their history, so it's going to be a hard and interest game for sure, that which we all already know too, I believe.

I know most of you are still waiting to analyze your picks, but considering the importance of the round I'm tagging the ones that still haven't submitted their answers in case they forgot.
Some of the names on the list are our new members that can play for fun if they want.

I'm about to do mine, good luck to all of us!

I did submitted mine too already, I had to wait for a couple for couple of of tennis match, I already had a some of my decision of players to pick already but it will be outright dumb to just pick when I could wait for my top 5 picks to play already and see the outcome before making a final decision, but I had all my answers ready within 30 minutes of the post coming live.

Good luck to every one!

Leicester is playing for survival, win over Liverpool would give them easier last round against Newcastle

I would say the chances of Arsenal to win the league title now stiill is more plausible than Leicester City get 3 points tonight, at least that's how I feel about it, ngl... Liverpool might not be an entirely convincing team but, this should be an easy one to win for the them.

hopefully you got it right, and Leicester will lose tonight, although everything except their win is acceptable (would like to see them losing, I prefer Liverpool to Newcastle in CL)
it is a rough fight for survival in EPL, Forest improved their position a lot in last two rounds, and Everton, Leeds and Leicester will sort two positions as it now looks

Leicester has one win in last 13 EPL matches, hoping to stay on that until the season end

Yes, that's what happened. Liverpool managed to score two beautiful goals in the first half of the match by Stoner and Salah, but VAR intervened and denied Stoner his second goal. I think the match is open to more goals in the second half. Liverpool needs to win the remaining matches to secure a spot in the Champions League. Newcastle faces a tough challenge against Chelsea and Brighton.
Was hoping for more goals as they only had 1 goal in the second half with Salah missing an open shot late in the match.
They are looking in good form but so late into the season all they can hope to accomplish is to secure UEFA champions league now.
Chelsea received a new manager with Mauricio Pochettino joining the club announced earlier yesterday.
They have both the Manchester sides and Newcastle as you had mentioned in their remaining matches to close out the season.
And it has been a very disappointing one for The Blue Lions. I don't see them receiving even a point in those three.

I'd be very surprised Mauricio Pochettino last for half season at the Chelsea, it's just gonna be another rinse and repeat era of coach, Mauricio Pochettino last jobs have made it obvious he might be a good coach but then, he's goals and the bars he set aren't Mauricio Pochettino what Chelsea would be impressed with, all Chelsea wants is a coach that can make them compete on all level, and the best advantage for Pochettino would be that the team have not but league and the league cups to play for, so that might buy him a better chances at staying quite longer in the job, since the league is all he should be thinking about but once Chelsea have an idea that he's not going to get them to top for, or play good that we haven't witnessed from the all season long, and at least a place in the Europa League, he's gonna be out.

Yes, this will be written forever in Tatum's resume.  Grin Like they said, stars are born in crucial moments and he just proved it by defeating the 76ers in a blowout game.
I am kind of sad for Embiid and Harden but I don't like what Embiid said during the post-game interview.
Quote
Me and James, we can't win alone. That's why basketball is played 5-on-5. We need everybody to find ways to be better.
https://twitter.com/CBSSports/status/1657898259195604996?s=20
There's some truth about what he said but first of all the stars should be the ones leading the way, just like how Tatum did it. And, Tucker was actually stepping up his game by making 11 points in the first half only. Tobias Harris was also aggressive and so do Tyrese Maxey.
The problem is both Harden and Embiid are ball-hogging, they spent too much time either dribbling or finding a way to get in which will just lead to turnovers. Harden especially, whenever he is in the paint, he stops, and chokes.
I don't understand why Embiid said that, perhaps he is saving himself from the rants of their fans.

I really didn't see the post match interview, but I know how manipulate those journalist can be with their questions, try to force words into your mouth, Tyrese Maxey was absolutely stunning and PJ Tucker defense and entire court awareness was also some A performance in my opinion, James Harden and Embiid himself also had some subpar performance too, Tyrese Maxey stole game 1 for them. So, I really don't think the question or Embiid's response was about criticizing his team mates because he knew they gave it their all and are as disappointed as he his about losing the game, so it's more likely that the question was targeted a Embiid and Harden, so Embiid saying basketball is 5 v 5 a game doesn't really mean ill towards his team mates.

but then it is what it is, now it will all be about the doubts should you have gone for Over 1.5 goals, or either team should win, but it's just ifs and buts, so sorry for your loss!
Arsenal to win or draw seemed to have better value to be honest considering the theoretical strength and position of both teams in the league. I wish I would had over 1.5 goals though LOL

I understand how you feel, to be honest, the safest picks ruining decent parlays and bets.

Almost time for game 7 between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers. Will Embiid finally get a chance to play for the chip or will Tatum make another run at it? Looks like the Celtics are favored to win at home so Harden and Embiid had better bring their A game. Im not betting this one but I will be watching it in just a couple more hours.

I'm fancying a couple of players props for this game though, I wouldn't be going for any spread or ML bet either, but I really the odds for Jaylen Brown Over 23.5 points at 1.80, It seemed very valuable imo, so that'd be all for me, Jayson Tatum would surely need some help to be honest, and the majority of would have to come from Jaylen provided he doesn't get into much of a foul trouble today too.

That was quite a huge statement win from the Boston Celtics, and I really didn't expect it to have gone that easy for the home team, but the TD Garden was crazy and the Boston become an unstoppable force in the 3rd Quarter and limited 76ers to just 10 points in the 3rd, that's supposed to be lowest point from any team in any quarter in the playoffs, right ? Jason Tatum on full beast mode, and Jaylen Brown just hitting my 23.5 Points Over before the white flag was raised by both coaches!

Now we've got some conference finals in our hand, Boston vs Miami Heat just like it was last season..

congratulations from me and your username i immediately forwarded Smiley
in the top Harkorede has dropped 2 places to the third place - nevertheless, it remains exciting
both overviews will follow soon...

That's a crazy round from Betwrong, a completely irony to his choice of username because he got points from every single fixtures of the round, I don't anyone has ever achieve such in this pool prior to this round!

Congratulations mate!

Second guessing myself for those Saturday fixtures is what ruined my week in quite a way because, I had most of the home teams to win, but I went for a couple of draws instead and paid the prize, but it's still all for the fun of it the pool.
