2444  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - Verified rolls, up to 64,000x winning on: June 12, 2012, 04:12:07 PM
from my incredibly limited experience, that was the case for me, particularly when betting on the <32000. the <64000 paid out near instantly.
2445  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart bridge - Realtime Bitcoin charts [v0.5] (MtGox, Intersango, ...) on: June 12, 2012, 03:09:21 PM
that may be the case. we'll see.

got it displaying mtgox usd at least. Cheesy
2446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart bridge - Realtime Bitcoin charts [v0.5] (MtGox, Intersango, ...) on: June 12, 2012, 02:56:20 PM
so i've just got this set up - candlesticks, moving average, volume. love it.

but two things i'm hitting a block on: i'd like it to update in real time, is that possible?

and... it's saying the price is 4.50 currently. obviously, it's not. (5.54, i just checked on bitcoin charts.) any ideas why this is the case? well i figured THIS out - it's watchintg mtgox euro. how the heck did i manage that...

main server, i think - using the guiminer dropdown for mtred. connecting to mine.mtred.com:8337. easily could have been a connection drop on my end. ISP having issues.
2450  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [208 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: June 11, 2012, 06:45:12 PM

2451  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [208 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: June 11, 2012, 03:05:24 PM

2452  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 11, 2012, 09:21:49 AM
I really hate to say it, but I'm not going to give it much longer.

I love being able to make more than my expected daily payout, but when my weekly and monthly amounts still average to less than what I should be making, it's getting to be pointless.

I love the idea behind this project, but it needs to get the details worked out before I can adopt it full time. There isn't really much for me to say. Going back 3 days, we've found 7 blocks, and one was an orphan. To start, 1/7 is way more than 10% orphan rate. Secondly we're at 7 out of at least 12, and that's near 50% of our expected fucking blocks. I've stuck with p2pool through some low times, but it seems like we've been spending much too long in the trough on this sine curve...

i'm also becoming inclined to agree, which is a real shame.
2453  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitForce SC - full custom ASIC on: June 10, 2012, 08:00:38 PM
I bet they don't ship in any reasonable quantity until 2013.  I'm watching and waiting for OpenASIC - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=76351.0 - with it being opensource hardware its more likely to be cheaper and therefore more widely available and used.

I agree on this possibility, and am watching it closely. Knowing the slow to ship history of BFL, if their pricing seems overly expensive, it would seem tempting to wait & see what the openware option provides.

agreement.
2454  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the logic behind this? on: June 10, 2012, 03:59:38 PM
They're probably hoping for another hack. Like with the Mt Gox debacle, every buy order on the books was filled.

That's my guess.

two things: fascinating vid and what's the software and where do i get it?
2455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: June 10, 2012, 03:22:10 PM
Normal weekend dip is normal.  $6 coming soon!   Grin

2457  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 10, 2012, 02:03:43 PM
i just wanna double check everything is working correctly on my end - no blocks found/payments sent from p2pool since 5:03 pm (UTC if i did the conversion right) yesterday, right?
