Anyone has an educated guess on todays divident?

I'm thinking less than last weeks... Or did we sell more devices?

more have been sold, yes. though how many i don't know. i personally can account for 511 of the USB sticks, and i know i've seen people get tracking info for the blades.
1602  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 22, 2013, 11:45:26 AM
There are lots of tutorials, for example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=121253.0

i should have clarified: i'm on windows.

i'm quite nervous about all this cause i'm getting the first of these, besides the units the devs and such got, and i've never touched cgminer or such with any success. i've used guiminer for my amd/nvidia cards. (i know, nvidia bad.) i kinda feel like i'm wading into uncharted waters.

any clue about the software that can be used for mining? Preferably on linux.
BFGMiner from git will work.

and... how will it work? as in, settings, menu options? tiny hint?

" Our latest superconducting 512-qubit processor chip is housed inside a cryogenics system within a 10 square meter shielded room. "

christ that's a big computer.

What time it is when they tell the devidend of the week? And does it always happen here first?

one of the shareholders usually spots it and mentions it in this thread first, yea.

also, the timing varies a bit, but it should be within about 6 hours at the most.
1606  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 22, 2013, 10:44:33 AM
i actually got three of those amazon mediafire 6 inch extenders, at about 5 a pop.

then i found out the hub i bought won't power a full load anyway... sigh.

Want to sell one of them then?

we'll see when the units arrive what happens.
1607  Economy / Speculation / Re: The "Vladimir Club" on: May 22, 2013, 07:52:32 AM
Can there be a club if you have over 210?

I don't know if the str4wm4n club (or would that be strawman club?) would sound quite as cool. Although seeing as how it's a bit less exclusive maybe that's OK.

Can the club for people with 21+ be 'Le Happy Merchant' club?

More like "Fruity Loops Club".

oh oh! i'm in this one!

for the moment.
1608  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 22, 2013, 03:45:08 AM
we're past customs in hong kong. it'll probably be on a plane next. Cheesy

may not have another significant update until it reaches US soil, sometime tomorrow.

If we look at conventional Mutual Funds, a 5% management fee would be killer. In fact 2% is really a lot, and 1% or less is really desirable for assets that are held long.

a conventional mutual fund manages billions are dollars worth of assets. If TAT gets to 5000 shares, he has 100-200k worth of assets. He also has way more risk than a conventional mutual fund. I think 5% is completely reasonable, but if you don't start your own fund.

the point is, he set up the PT with the fee, and we (anyone who bought it - i have 28 shares of his) accepted the arrangement. anything else is pointless to discuss, because it's already happened.

This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGQWL2/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Anker makes good stuff so I trust them when they say this will support 4A, so it should run up to 8 units per.

hmm. tempting.

i'm also looking at this: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/eecf/?srp=4

also says 4 amps, and i wasn't sure on the math... so i guess that too would be 8 units. oi...

anybody know if this thing could actually power 28 (heck, even 20) of these miners at once? 4 amp power supply, i think.
1614  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 22, 2013, 01:25:08 AM
Monoprice.com is significantly cheaper.

You just bought a $230 device and you are worried about saving a few bucks on a cable?  Smiley

Well Amazon's cheapest non-add-on cable I saw was $5.49, and the cheapest add-on was $3.89, which works to either $109.80 or $77.80.  I wouldn't say I was 'worried about saving a few bucks', but at the same time I don't see a good reason to throw away $50 on the same order at the same shipping speed.  Call me crazy!  Actually that's probably not a bad assumption, given the fact that I'm part of a group buy that has no reasonable expectation of ROI this year. Tongue

i actually got three of those amazon mediafire 6 inch extenders, at about 5 a pop.

then i found out the hub i bought won't power a full load anyway... sigh.

So, arklan, when groupbuy #2 starting?   Grin

when i finish shipping these, if there's actually demand.
1617  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB Ready to Hash Everywhere in the World on: May 21, 2013, 10:33:44 PM
I wish I could buy one of these Sad
why? they can't make roi ever, they are useless...

Not being an ass but can you elaborate?

it's the expected onlining of all the other aisc stuff. avalon, but their own units and the chips, the 100th mine, bfl, etc. difficulty is expected by most to launch like a saturn 5 rocket and leave the moon in it's wake.

if that actually happens, ROI with these will go from the current 4 or 5 months (or whatever it is) to longer and longer, until eventually the electrical cost of running one, plus the host pc, exceeds what it earns.
1618  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 21, 2013, 10:31:16 PM
Do we know for certain that ours will have the fancy heatsink/case ?

well, we know we're the first shipment of the sapphire production batch, and we know that first shipment is 200 units, and we know that the fancy cases have been shipped out in a batch of 200. i'd be shocked if we didn't get them.
1619  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB Ready to Hash Everywhere in the World on: May 21, 2013, 09:10:45 PM
