go through each device on zadig ensuring its on winusb

did that. they are. also followed the steps here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220450.0

everything has a comport. after following those steps (including a reboot) bfgminer's working again, but cgminer remains with the same error.

check your mhs, they dont always display all devices right now

i THINK the drivers were replaced sucessfully, but cgminer's still throwing the same message.

and now bfgminer doesn't work either - which makes me think two things: oh god i broke it, or yea, the driver is installed.

except bfgminer DOES recognize one of them... which makes no sense to me...

cgminer isn't displaying ANY devices, and the green LED on the sticks isn't doing the usual blinky-when-found-a-share thing. it's just solid green.

call me an idiot, but i still can't get this working. i downloaded the latest cgminer, used zadig to change to winusb... but for the life of me i can't figure out how to remove the ftdi driver.

getting these messages:
[2013-05-31 08:16:34] USB init, open device failed, err -12, you need to install a Windows USB driver for - AMU device 2:11
[2013-05-31 08:16:34] Icarus detect (2:11) failed to initialise (incorrect device?)

384 seems about correct for the number of users and workers.

It seems bizarre to me that the last Ozcoin round went for 54 HOURS, and the current round has been going for 34 HOURS so far .... yet in the same period Eclipse solved 20 blocks - yes 20 blocks. I realise there is LUCK involved, no doubt - and people/groups have good and bad runs - but Ozcoin is currently sitting at 78 hours and has only solved 1 block in that time (one would hope that the next one is imminent - but with a pool size of 384Gh who knows?).

I am not trying to knock Graham nor Ozcoin down, but rather want to make sure I am understanding this properly. I know I am a noob, but would like to think I have my head wrapped around it correctly.

ever since the hack/theft a bit ago, it's been going poorly here. Sad

Love pics of the new usb rigs.  So nice looking.

Are those the emerald or Saphpire Units?

If Sapphire I thought the circuitry in back was not exposed.

they are sapphire - and nope - thats technically the circuitry in front! there's only a heatsink/covering on the side opposite the chips.
1467  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 31, 2013, 12:55:16 PM
As of this post I have not received a tracking number although my order was marked shipped several days ago

hmm. two possibilities: i never shipped it, and that's the extra five i mentioned. or, since i can't find the tracking info from last saturday or tuesday, it was in there - i remember seeing the package with your forum name written on it - i swear... i suggest we wait a few days and see if it arrives, if that's alright with you.
1468  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2Th]Ozcoin Pooled Mining |DGM 1%|PoT 2%|Stratum+VarDiff port 80 on: May 31, 2013, 12:48:19 PM
Due to the extremely slow rounds/income on Ozcoin I thought I would try a different pool to see if there is any difference. Eclipse is a similar size pool (about 2.5-3Th), yet they solve 7 blocks some days (obviously very occasionally they take 15-24 hours to solve a block, but more often than not they solve 4-7 blocks pr day) - on average they are doing significantly better than Ozcoin (with a basic 1.2Ghash setup I am earning around 0.06Btc per day on EMC - yet on Ozcoin I was often not even earning 0.2Btc per day with the same machine hosting 2 x 7950s).

Is there any reason for this? I want to support the Aussie pool/guy and all, but money is money, and power here costs a bloody fortune. Even earning 0.06Btc a day I am only JUST covering power costs.

I notice the Ozcoin pool is currently only 384.77Ghash and the current round has been 1 day 10 hours so far - has everybody else had the same thoughts and jumped off?

i've noticed it too - but me and my ten gigs are here.

First: Arklan - you did an awesome job. My expectation for level of service is basically measured against what I would get in a Target store or Wallmart. You are waaaaaay better than that.

Second: My order of 5 miners took a one day side-trip to the beach (thanks to USPS), and should now be arriving tomorrow (wrong zip code on the package - Arklan, no worries... I like my miners "well traveled" anyway Wink

For those few of you that think Arklan did anything but exceptionally well... you are very small minded.

*cough* they... wanted a tan?

the entire group order i placed (which xian got 20 from) was received by me and mailed out already. the last of the packages going out today.

the hub he's using is http://www.amazon.com/computers-accessories/dp/B007ZWFKX8

i've got three of them myself, doing the same as he - different fans though.

I swear if these things were a little bigger you could cook an egg on them they get so hot!

think of them as hand warmers during winter. Cheesy
1472  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 31, 2013, 07:01:47 AM
appreciate that guys. regardless of what happens, the vote of confidence is gratifying.
1473  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 31, 2013, 06:47:50 AM
got tracking number.

F5-raping of fedex tracking page begins...
Fedex will be the one doing the raping.  Wink

yea, of ME.

i forgot to mention: i told fedex to charge ME for the customs and duties and such. i also declared them as a value of 100 USD each.

as i said previously, if any thing goes wrong in the shipping, it's on me. thus, if you gotta pay something to take delivry, let me know.

1477  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 31, 2013, 06:26:01 AM
ok, everyone except torusJKL is done, and he i don't have an address for. ...oops on him?

i'll get the tracking out to those who remain now.

What is wrong with all the people here?  I can't get 1 courteous answer on these USB sticks?  How much does one cost and where can I buy one or several?  It's my 3rd time asking and nothing but selfish people on this board.

they're 1.99 btc, and there's group orders all over the custom hardware section of the forum.
1478  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 31, 2013, 06:09:52 AM
Ah, bugger. Amazon won't ship the Anker USB hubs to Australia. Would someone be willing to act as a go-between for me between USA and Australia?

sure. pm me and we'll work it out.

also, xian - ...i'm confused. i only sent you 20!

and yes, those hubs (i have 3) are godly.

bare in mind that the ones i shipped today have all been fedex, (some fedex ground...) but as such i suspect they will likely arrive well ahead of the ones i mailed yesterday.
