The concept of course is completely bs. I will not call names but some "Hero" posters here (especially in this thread) are a joke.

Sheesh, it's only an automatically assigned title based on number of posts. If it was renamed to "OAP Member" to be more in fitting with the previous titles (Jr, Sr) would that make you feel better? Get over it Tongue

OAP? obscense average posts? *smirk*

how about "member needs a life?"

Comprehend this Cheesy

ok, who spiked my mt. dew?
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 19, 2013, 12:46:26 PM
a better, but also more complicated solution would be one that takes into account (1) changes in the graph (i.e. if nearly no change, don't post) and (2) number of human posts in the thread since last bot post (i.e. don't spam the thread)... probably too much to ask for to program this, especially (2), but one can dream:)

The problem with 2 is the unintended consequence. If there have been no posts for 8 hours, do you compress all 8 hours into one graph? Post 8 charts?

Maybe I should just make chartbuddy invokable. Call him and he'll post Smiley

Or how about if there are any major wall changes in the past hour? That would be a little more tricky to write but not overly so.

only if it's some esoteric and complex ritual. Cheesy

1645  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: WeExchange on: May 19, 2013, 03:06:22 AM
Are signups not working at WeExchange? Registered twice, verified my mail, did several password resets with different types of passwords but everytime I want to login it says "Login incorrect".

Use your user name instead of email address to login. Wink

QG

and remember: case sensitive. that bit caught me in a "login incorrect" loop too.

Why is the price of a share on Havelock 0.2 BTC when on other sites it's 2 BTC ?  Huh

i believe havelock sell's thickastheives microshare pt, which is 1/100 of a full share. also, isn't it .02?

edit: dammit john!
1647  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 18, 2013, 12:36:08 AM

Very cool indeed.  Do we know when it ships?  Are you provided a tracking number (obviously not to share with us, but at least we can get updates on where the package is and what it's doing)?

Oh Em Gee I'm so excited.

i haven't been told anything, but i assume i'll get a tracking number, yea. and of course, i'll be glued to it like ...uh... glue... on... uh... stuff.

1651  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: May 17, 2013, 05:02:45 PM
The 7970 card will still be worth a couple hundred dollars in a year; these USB sticks won't be worth anything.

sentimental value? Cheesy
1652  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 17, 2013, 04:56:13 PM
I wonder if friedcat can start another version of ASICminer in a different geography (right now in Shenzen?) and IPO it separately...I want the chance to get in early on a friedcat operation.

buy a time machine on ebay Smiley

turn it on and lets.... wait, what?

Welcome back Graet!
I'm the bloke from Sydney that spoke to you on the phone once.

Regarding WeExchange, is that still operational for withdrawals within Australia Graham?

As for the rest of us, I had a query.
I noticed that the pools GH/s was droping on and off (halving every now and then).  That got me spooked a bit, so I quickly looked around an logged into BTCGuild which I never connect to, as it has the largest pool that I know of.  It's pool number seemed stable, but I noticed that their fees were higher (3.5% for PPLNS compared to Grahams/Ozcoins 3% (or 2% if you have it dropped).  Even the PPS was 7 compared to Ozcoin at 5 when it was up and running, and I couldn't figure out why there are so many other pools with higher fees yet with more miners.  Does any body else have a theory or is it just pure laziness?

Seeya all around.

before the recent troubles, we were at about 8.5 thash, which was more then 10% the network. also keep in mind that the majority of what you see on btc guild is ALL ASICMINER, which controls something in the neighborhood of 20thash right now.

personally i love ozcoin. though i will admit that that logo of the roo with the bitcoin makes me hungry... i had a roo steak while in adelaide back in 2006. was great.

1657  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 17, 2013, 03:49:00 AM
though i am feeling better!

Happy to hear it!  Plus, I didn't want you getting snot on my shipment.  Wink

ahhh... ahhh... CHOOO! just for you, gordon.

oh, and friedcat updated the main ASICMINER thread - the mass production of the USB miners should be done today, allowing them to begin testing and packaging. YAY!

i saw a DHL truck drive by earlier - near had a heart attack thinking it was coming for me. (dhl is VERY uncommon here.)
1658  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 16, 2013, 07:24:32 PM
Awful quiet. Any news?

It's only been a day.  Wink

We should have some additional info in the next few days I'd think.

yea, i'm just waiting and watching the other threads for friedcat's posts. nothing to report on my end. Sad

though i am feeling better!
1659  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bitfunder] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough on: May 16, 2013, 11:03:59 AM
I release more shares constantly, I try to keep them at or above the average market value, but sometimes I sell lower in order to complete other deals.

Generally you can expect all the passthroughs to fluctuate to form an average price. Sometimes mine are cheapest, sometimes mine are the most expensive; there are many factors at play.

I have no way to predict how many shares will enter the PT market, but I can tell you I will keep accumulating shares for as long as it is profitable for me to do so. My first goal is to reach 5000 whole-shares, in order to get a board seat with ASICMINER.

first goal, he says. oi... Cheesy

used my dividends this week to buy some more. up to 28 microshares now. Cheesy

Thank you, just got to work, but I will verify tonight when I get home that the funds are in my wallet, and then let Arklan know to switch some shipping addresses around.

Thanks for a smooth trade!

Arklan, I can confirm that payment has come through for 6 out of my 7 units.  If Mdude77 wants to PM you his address that will be fine to change the shipping of 6 units to him.  As of now, he wants the 7th unit and plans to pay for it by next week, when that time comes I will go ahead and transfer shipping of the 7th unit to him.

Thanks

understood.
