I solo mine with an S1, a U3, and 4 nanofuries. {"hashrate1m": "291G", "hashrate5m": "255G", "hashrate1hr": "256G", "hashrate1d": "257G", "hashrate7d": "240G", "lastupdate": 1430326431, "workers": 3, "bestshare": 5226248.1194786159} I have an S3+ that mines for me at a loss because I like minting my own coin. Some day it will be relegated to soloing as well.

ok, im gonna try and start a a new quote string here, for our scrolling sake. Im gonna try the original firmware this morning and the only ones on there site I havent tried yet..... What in the world would I look at if None of these want to work? heres my config page w no password... although i was under the impression it dident really matter if that got out.... im using http://stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 http://postimg.org/image/lnwx875mf/thank you If you look at the first line, it has http://stratum+tcp://xxxxx it's wrong. You use either http:// or stratum+tcp:// not both. Likewise, pool 2 is missing either http:// or stratum+tcp://.

Members that I've talked to for years have either vaporized or post very infrequently.
That's the way most online forums are. Rarely do you see users who maintain a high level of involvement year after year after year; either they tire of the forum or of whatever hobby that forum is supporting. This is hardly the fault of signature campaigns. I would say my opinion is biased as well, since I participate in a sig campaign, but it's no more biased that those who don't participate and don't like it. I actually see more spammy posts/posts that make no sense/bad google translation posts from people without ad signatures than those with. Support the little guy, both advertiser and avertisee, keep paid signature campaigns around.

Great, hopefully this version will fix the problem where my Core closes randomly with no error and nothing shown in the logs.
Nah it probably won't. You were right, had 0.10.1 close itself silently on me today.

That makes for 5 blocks; same number of blocks as ads2003uk. One more and you beat the record* 727miner!
*except for the farm that mined here in the beginning of the pool
Nooooooooooo. Lol Payday is not coming quick enough, I will regain my title if it goes - i'll only let you have the glory for a while ha ha. What was the hashrate this time? Hashrate was ~200Th; I looked it up right after the block was found. He's probably doing what he said he was doing and that is renting 200 - 250 TH with 1 BTC a day. I don't understand how this can happen. Even 200TH 24/7 it's long odds to solve one block. This is magic, or more proof we all live in a big computer simulation. Holy freaking mother loving gods on a stick!!! Another block goes to 727miner. Whoever it was earlier (think it was mikestang) who said the Pattern weaves around him was surely not mistaken. Yes, he is ta'veren for sure. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

what does it mean if you get a share accepted message on your miners? ive chucked 20 block erupters and a U2 at the pool to see if the odds are better than lotto ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Sorry, but really? You're a hero member and don't know what that means? It basically means your miners found a share above the target set by the pool. It's a way for the pool to keep record of shares submitted by miners. The target set varies by the amount of hashrate you point at the pool so the more hash the higher the target is set. This is basically done to avoid the pool having to handle a shitload of diff1 shares. Note that for this solo pool it doesn't matter! The only thing that matters here is finding a share above the network difficulty. Your miners would report that as 'found block'. Yup and i was hoping that i meant something different with this pool ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) bit of a preemptive post as after about 10min of nothing showing up - i got a 1 share accepted message. its now started with a whole load of share accepted messages as usual ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I'm pretty sure the pool starts you off with a difficulty of 1042. Once you hit that difficulty, it adjusts according to your perceived hash rate, so you then start to see accepted shares as you typically would. In cgminer you can use --suggest-diff # and start out with whatever is suitable for your miner.

Very possible you have a faulty unit then. If you're not overclocking you can leave the --au3 commands out, it will run at factory settings without them. My basic command line: cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u USER.name -p password With overclocking: cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u USER.name -p password --au3-volt 785 --au3-freq 243.75 Do you have another computer you can try it on? Do you have another power supply to try? I have 3 U3s and have had all sorts of problems with them. One of them decided one day that it didn't want to be recognized by any computer, just out of the blue. I sent it to a fellow who repaired it, but not sure what the exact problem was with that one...

Ah ha, well yes, 0755 makes much more sense. Hopefully someone who knows the details of these chips will chime in.

I only have about 750gh/s, but you can bet as soon as I find a block I'll be upgrading, too! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

The one that is nearly always off should be nearly always on when you're hashing properly. Sorry, I missed the zadig reference. Did you download and install the latest CP2102 driver? http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspxYou should not need to compile your own cgminer, but you would is you wanted to use bmsc. If you use bmsc, then you do not Zadig. What is your command line to launch cgminer with the U3? Keep trying to zadig, unplug and replug (be sure to plug in power first, then usb, and unplug in reverse order). It's possible you have a defective unit, you can contact Bitmain Warranty for support if that is the case.

CGMiner never detect de ASIC properly... The CGMiner standar fork from ck NEVER detect my U3. I can only work with it if i use the CGMiner fork from Bitmain... And Bitmain CGMiner ONLY detects the U3 if i unplugged it and plug it again with CGMiner running. This trick do not work with ck CGMiner. Tried CGMiner 4.9.1, 4.9.0 from ck. The Bitman CGMiner is last version from their web page. Always "not devices found" if I not unplug-replug...
...
Also, my U3 has at least 2 small red leds... (not the big one which indicates USB power). I suppose they are for ASIC chips monitoring... Well, my U3 only shows one red light usually on, and another one which ligths very few times, blinking... ¿The U3 must have 4 red leds when working at 60 GH/s? Maybe my U3 has two chips dead?.
...
Cgminer 4.9.1 will not recognize the U3, but 4.9.0 will AFTER you Zadig it (you didn't mention using Zadig). There's 1 red led when you plug in the USB, and 1 more when it's hashing.

Well the U3 voltage is adjustable in 0.005 increments through it's range, but I do not know if the chips on the S3+ support the same.

|

Sweet, we hit it while I was on a train, wondered why I didn't hear my notice on my phone.

My S3+ happens to love a freq of 250 and volt of 0752.
I did not think voltage was adjustable in 0.001 increments. ... I looked up the datasheet for the BM1382 chip that is used in the S3+ ... 1. The typical hash rate and power table ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs12.postimg.org%2Fnk7gea0a5%2FBM1382_Hash_Rate_Voltage.png&t=663&c=3YooNhVBUcLQlg) ...

I'm starting to think this might be the API response. Next time this happens, can you Reset Stats instead?
Reset stats didn't seem to fix it on one machine today, had to reboot it and re-log into cryptoGlance.

Good morning campers!
Last week's tweet counts are in and the spreadsheet (see link in the OP) has been updated.
As usual, payouts will be sent by midnight tonight, eastern standard time.
Cheers!
Cynthia
Payment received, thank you!

Thank you for sharing your experience!
For Bitcoin Mining, Please Please Invest GOOD $ in a GOOD STRONG PSU such as 80 Plus Gold or above. You will not regret it.
Very good advice. I went from a 550w Bronze psu to an 850w Gold psu on the same miner and watts measured at the wall decreased 5%. Not only do they provide power better, they do so more efficiently.

Another prompt payment, thanks!

Does the bitcoin address have to be the one in the bitcoin node, or can it be any bitcoin address? Does the url= have to be a web service running on our node (port 80), or is it just the URL of your miner (reachable with 8333)?
Thanks
The btc address has match the static public web page containing the same Bitcoin address. The url for that webpage must be the same IP address as the bitcoin node. Miners have nothing to do with this.
