2441  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-07-14] Nic Carter vs. The Bitcoin Maximalists on: August 19, 2022, 12:35:23 AM
@johhnyUA. It could collapse, however, another currency will take over as the international currency of choice for international trade. However, if we do not move away from reality, we cannot be quite as certain as the maximalists that the next currency adopted for international trade would be bitcoin. But the maximalists will not tell you this. They will only continue the circle jerk and tell you everything will go to 0 and there is nothing else but bitcoin.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly ignored coaches after getting his big contract on: August 18, 2022, 04:49:35 AM
Interesting stores about Jimmy G.  I however don’t think that it will have any effect on his trade market. They will of course keep him as one of their players on the 53 man roster, as sooner or later someone is going to need his services and they will get a sold pay day in return (maybe a few picks, not sure they’ll get more than a 2/3rd rounder).

& thank you, that time from will work for me. Two drafts back to back, I dig it.

Seattle would be a real good fit for him, Lock and Geno are both garbage.

Agreed. I know there are fans of the 49ers in this thread that do not want Jimmy G to be traded to another team which is also in the NFC west division, however, for an exciting season it would certainly be a good trade because of the reason you mentioned hehe.
2443  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: August 18, 2022, 04:08:19 AM
@Falconer. However, it would be very head shaking if someone thinks that he can continue gambling anonymously anywhere if he gambles with more than $10k regularly hehehe. Sportsbooks and gambling sites will begin asking for your identification when your deposits and withrawals become larger because gambling sites also need to be compliant with the regulators.
2444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: August 18, 2022, 03:12:57 AM
Bitcoin brought me into world of cryptos and it's earning opportunities which helps me make a living.

(^ this is how spammers comment, but I swear it's true)
Can you explain more how bitcoin has earnings opportunities, since as far as I can see it, you can only make money with investing so far and thats kind of hard in the last month Grin

Bitcoin made me come across whole world of crypto which has earning opportunities.

This is a complete honest answer. Bitcoin is giving all of the users access to loans for small collateral that we can use for investment and trading across the cryptospace. This is in the form of leveraged trading. There are some people in bitcointalk.org that have declared it as gambling, however, on 2020 I am quite certain many of you wished you can borrow money to invest in the beginning of the bull market. This is where trading with leverage can become helpful. Leverage is a loan guarantee from the exchange.
2445  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-16] Mark Cuban Sued for Allegedly Promoting a Massive Crypto Ponzi on: August 18, 2022, 02:27:57 AM
Is the source of the news from Roger Ver's cryptonews media site? It is okay, you do not have to be ashamed to post this hehehehe.

https://news.bitcoin.com/billionaire-mark-cuban-sued-for-allegedly-promoting-a-massive-crypto-ponzi-scheme/

In any case, if Voyager is judged a ponzi scheme, I reckon 95% of the whole cryptospace can also be judge as a giant ponzi scheme including much of the ICO coins and tokens. However, the skeptical me thinks that the plaintiffs only want a case to later settle and get money from Mark Cuban.
2446  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: August 17, 2022, 05:37:03 AM
~

It is the same complaint made everywhere by many users of most of the gambling sites. I am not quite certain why much of the users do not expect being asked for KYC if their withdrawals become larger. They should have their identification cards ready and other required documents if the gambling site asks for them.
The user already submitted selfie for the KYC but it looks like the casino isn't convinced and wants more.

Brandon must have pissed off Cloudbet by trying to game their sportsbetting system and that's why they are also asking ridiculous methods to further verify his location and identity. It could also be a case of using and submitting fake identity/docs.

Similar to what I have said in another thread, there might also be an increase in moneylaundering through gambling sites and maybe also exchanges. There would be no reason why Cloudbet or any other gambling site would try to force their users to do a complete and exhaustive verification process unless it was very needed. It would also be very disadvantageous for Cloudbet if they were caught to have a moneylaundering ring in operation in the site. They could lose their business license.
2447  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Street Selfie? Why all these crazy requirements in the name of KYC verification? on: August 17, 2022, 04:43:45 AM
I was browsing through the gambling board, and then I came across some member complaining about some casino that had requested for KYC verification which is OK but what was weird was the way they wanted the user to verify the account  Grin

Dear User,
We hope this email finds you well.
As part of our ongoing verification review of your account, you are kindly requested to submit further documentation to verify your identity.
1. A street selfie: A photo of your face with your government-issued ID (Passport or Driving Licence) and a newspaper in one hand, taken outside your building or street sign. Take a pen/marker and write Cloudbet and today's date on the newspaper and sign the newspaper below the word Cloudbet.
Please note all details. should be legible, including the building name or street sign.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Seriously, is this going to be the new trend in KYC verification?
Remember, back then, all that most services required were the front and back part of your ID or passport before they started asking for simple selfies.

Why would they need a street sign or building name?

I speculate that moneylaundering through the use of cryptocoins and cryptospace services like gambling sites and exchanges might be growing. These new moneylaunderers might also be using fake identification and other fake documents. However, what these gambling sites and exchanges do not know is much of today's moneylaundering is being done through money mules. They are persons with KYC accounts paid for by the moneylaunderers to launder their money for them.
2448  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: August 17, 2022, 03:08:36 AM
News update.

It appears it was not only Celsius' involvement with Luna and UST that caused the cryptolender's bankruptcy. Their CEO has made himself the head of their cryptocoin trading strategy. I reckon that we should look around the cryptospace and know which other CEOs or company executives are doing something similar hehehhe.

Alex Mashinsky took control of Celsius trading strategy months before bankruptcy

In January, Celsius Network boss Alex Mashinsky gathered his investment team to tell it he would be taking control of the crypto lender’s trading strategy ahead of an upcoming US Federal Reserve meeting.

Prices of popular cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether had fallen from their all-time highs and the former telecoms entrepreneur said Celsius needed to protect itself from further declines. A hawkish outcome, he was convinced, could crash crypto prices.

In the days before the Fed met, Mashinsky personally directed individual trades and overruled executives with decades of finance experience, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.

In one case, Mashinsky ordered the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of bitcoin, refusing to wait to double check Celsius’s often unreliable information on its own holdings. Celsius — which at the time held $22bn of customer crypto assets — bought the bitcoin back a day later at a loss.

2449  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hotbit exchange suspends deposits, withdrawals and trading on: August 17, 2022, 02:30:07 AM
This is why I don't stay holding coins on any shady exchanges I withdraw them right away after I exchange some shitcoin from their exchange.
Never mind this, even not only on shady exchanges that is not good for holding coins, all exchanges generally, they are centralized, the exchangea have the full control, not people having coins on the exchange.

@BitMaxz. If you want only to trade without the risk of holding funds being frozen, it might be better for you to trade using Uniswap, Sushiswap are any type of Defi protocol in Ethereum. Pancakeswap and other Defi protocols in Binance Smartchain also has many shitcoins that pump more than 10x.
Is margin and future trading possible on those smart contract decentralized exchanges?

Yes, there are new Defi trading platforms that offer futures trading with margin of up to 30x leverage. I have not yet tried trading in this platform, however, there are some people in social media that have good testimonials on GMX.

https://gmx.io/

GMX runs on Ethereum's Arbitrum network for faster confirmations and lower fees.

This complaint of yours is quite similar to the one you made against duelbits. anyway, I'm confused as to why you keep creating accounts on gambling sites that states that they could ask you for your KYC along the way.

It is the same complaint made everywhere by many users of most of the gambling sites. I am not quite certain why much of the users do not expect being asked for KYC if their withdrawals become larger. Yes for September 2 and also hopefully we draft on the same time we did during the last season. Also, when will we pay for the league? Will it be next week? I will only be using the coins from my signature campaign and this week's payment was already used for a 10x leveraged trade on Stepn GMT hehehehehehe. Move to earn!
2452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tornado Cash mixing service is now blacklisted in US on: August 16, 2022, 03:48:19 AM
Random piece of news stating the guy was arrested not as a TC developer but because he was actively involved in cash recycling.
Not that this changes much in the situation, but it is only a bit less worrying as he wasn't arrested for only writing code.

It should not change anything because he was really being arrested for writing code for protection and enhancement of privacy and they presently are using mainstream media news to make it appear that he is a money launderer and a criminal hehehe. This is head shaking. Cryptospace developers should go back to being anonymous.

@ETFbitcoin. It was cleary a question for the purpose of supporting the argument only hehehehe.

I know, but i wanted to mention it's not impossible.

Also, on the 1990s case, was it in America? Was it also when it was declared that code is speech and also protected by the first amendment?

Yes, it was on America. I don't know the details, but people usually call it crypto wars in 90s.

Is it Bernstein vs. the Department of Justice?

Pancakeswap and other Defi protocols in Binance Smartchain also has many shitcoins that pump more than 10x. I reckon that it does not matter for you what type of coins to trade? You are there just for trading the pumps?
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 15, 2022, 02:46:27 AM
Bitcoin might begin pumping to $30k and I would hate to pay more in dollar terms if we can send open payments starting next week.

Bitcoin has been pumping lately, so yeah I hope it goes to $30k. Grin

The escrow address has been sent via mass-PM to all participants to preserve a modicum of privacy.  I have no objections to posting it in public if that's preferred.  Feel free to send payment whenever you feel like, but let's try to get payment in before the draft.  The next order of business is deciding on a date for the live draft.  I liked waiting until the Friday before the season starts, hopefully that works for everyone.

Did any of you guys watch the 9ers/Green Bay game last night?  It was fun to watch Trey Lance get some significant playing time.  I'm a bit less apprehensive about him starting for us this year after watching him last night.  I have a feeling we're going to be a measurable amount better at the QB position this year.

No we do not like this. We want to start the league with cheaper bitcoin and end the league with 5x higher bitcoin hehehe.

In any case, I also have no objections if it is publicly posted, however, I am also okay if some of you in the league want it in private. I also agree on waiting until the Friday before the season begins, similar to what we have done for NFL 2021-2022.
2455  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 15, 2022, 02:15:26 AM
@boltz. It might be because there are some people who are dumping during the pump the leverage used for the pump is not enough to go more than $25k hehehe. It might also be short sellers closing their postions.

Also, I reckon what you mean is a bull trap. Those trapped traders who bought higher from where the price of bitcoin presently is?
2456  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-09] Iran makes first import order using cryptocurrency on: August 15, 2022, 01:45:33 AM
Well, we all know that Iran are still being sanctioned by the US, as we can see from this article a week ago ==> https://www.thenationalnews.com/world/us-news/2022/08/01/us-slaps-fresh-oil-sanctions-on-iran-as-nuclear-talks-stall/  ....

We also know that countries are using Crypto currencies to evade sanctions and also SWIFT transfers that can be monitored and blocked. So this is nothing new.... they just made this public, to make a political statement that these sanctions will not stop them from trading with other countries.  Roll Eyes

Also, did Iran not legalize bitcoin mining or their government began mining bitcoin for themselves through taking advantage of partnerships with bitcoin miners because of the cheap electricity offer? I read an article about this but I forgot where it was published. It was an opinion by a contributor where it was speculated that those miners in Iran are really mining for the government. It appears those coins mined were useful for them hehehe.
2457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tornado Cash mixing service is now blacklisted in US on: August 15, 2022, 12:28:01 AM
An unfortunate update: A 29-year old man who was suspected to be a developer of Tornado Cash was arrested and detained in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. This followed after the US Treasury Department blacklisted the Ethereum mixer for being used for money laundering.

This is worrisome because the man, assuming he's indeed the developer of Tornado Cash, was just writing codes, codes that are never meant to help criminals. It was for privacy's sake. Privacy is a right. If his open source code was utilized by evil entities for evil purposes, is it his fault? Is he a criminal simply because somebody else took advantage of his neutral codes?

This is unfair and illogical. This line of reasoning would have the creators of the internet, browsers, smart phones, and even knives, slippers, pillows, packaging tapes, freezers, and other neutral tools arrested for having their inventions used in crimes.

Source:
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/08/12/dutch-detain-suspected-developer-of-crypto-mixer-tornado-cash.html

We have witnessed the founders of Celsius and Voyager scam their users and they are not arrested. They might have also made much money. Similar situation with other founders like Luna founder Do Kwon or Spell founder Sifu. However, a developer for a dapp that protects privacy is in prison.

@ETFbitcoin. It was cleary a question for the purpose of supporting the argument only hehehehe.

Also, on the 1990s case, was it in America? Was it also when it was declared that code is speech and also protected by the first amendment?
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 14, 2022, 06:12:03 AM

This has got to be to most lifeless fixed fight I have seen. He knows Campa is no match against him but he wants to make it look like Campa is pressuring him in the corner. Teo makes it look like he had fought someone from a top class when in reality Campa is a 4th class fighter. Did any of you ever bet?

Agreed. Everyone has already known many months before what the purpose was for Teofimo Lopez's father when he agreed for Campa to be Teo's opponent for his return in the ring after he lost the championship to Kambosos. This is another ICO pump and dump scam from the promoters of boxing hehehehe.
2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 13, 2022, 07:50:49 AM
I just hope that he have learned the lesson that being overconfident is also dangerous. But yes, despite that he's aware of who can he beat and win.

It's better for him to have that emotion set at the normal setting so that it won't overwhelm him when he's on another match whether it will be from a lower division fighter or of the same.

Who? Donaire? I don't really think that he have that kind of attitude where goes being overconfident to his foe because of his capabilities, we know Donaire's attitude towards Inoue though but none of it shouts that he's overconfident.

Even us didn't really expected that Inoue will evolve that much because we think that they will still have a long 12-round fight where there will be a long blow-by-blow punches all the way to the 12th round. But Inoue finished Donaire in just 2 rounds with a stoppage.
On his match with Inoue, he said that he's going to beat Inoue and that's what I think that he became overconfident on that time. That's just my opinion and if you think guys that it's not a sign that he's overconfident with those words, that's okay.

It is what I've thought of him.

But I want the best for him if he ever will have another match again. We all love to see him back and healthy again with a win.

I disagree. Donaire is a humble man and he never underestimates his opponents. Inoue developed more as a boxer and has only become more superior than Donaire. Donaire is also now too old to be a bantamweight boxer. This is only a good example for the old to give way to the young.

And now he is thinking to go down in weight and chase more challenges and see if he can still fight the best of them.

Who's going down in weight? Donaire? I think that's a bad idea, I believe the best thing to do is to officially retire as he had proven himself already, but if he is still chasing the money, of course, he will use his popularity and will continue fighting.

Yes, there are news already that Donaire wants to go down to 115 lbs and challenge another legend in Roman Gonzalez. And agree that this could be a bad idea for him as he is not getting any younger, but if that is the case then he still wants to continue fighting then all we can do is watch if see if he can be successful at 115 lbs division.

As for Vergil Ortiz, he will be a good contender for either Spence and Crawford in 147 lbs. But I think those guys are still above and elite level of welterweight and I don't think the Vergil will give them a problem or there will be an upset.

This Gonzales in 115 pounds, is he a power puncher? He might knockout Donaire.

Also, it appears no one is talking about Boots Ennis in welterweight. He is the price if Spence and Crawford are the kings of welterweight hehehehe.

My votes are the same as DireWolfM14's votes. Yes, no, yes for 13, 14 and 15.

I request the next to be opened for discussion and voting is when will we begin paying for the league's entry fee? Bitcoin might begin pumping to $30k and I would hate to pay more in dollar terms if we can send open payments starting next week.
