2461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CIA "paying spooks" with bitcoin on: January 30, 2012, 10:35:54 PM

I have to disagree,  right off the bat it circles directly to this forum regarding Gavin heading to the CIA....  then it again alludes to why Satoshi never made "himself" public after inventing the technology.

I'll go with the most logical explanation: Satoshi has never been seen or heard from because he does not exist.

So one person with the smarts to make bitcoin could not 'disappear'?  He has indeed done a great job of not making tracks in the first place.  But I can not say it would be impossible to go online anonymously for the time he did.  Even mybitcoin.com did it, and basically left no firm tracks and people have a financial reason to look for him.

Satoshi has not committed any crimes nor has he wronged anyone.  This makes it a lot easier to 'disappear'.

No one interested in these yet?

A bunch of interest, no payment yet.  These cards still do not arrive for two days.  Most of the interest is international, which makes sense as these cards are hard/expensive to get in some countries.

I am thinking 50/50 I will be mining with them, though may sell off my weakest cards to make room.  I have a nice box with a 900w supply running just two 5830's.  I can pull them out, sell those and drop these new ones in.

Can you design an australian version with a kangaroo holding bitcoins in its pouch ?
If someone does a good one and lets me use it, I will get them made!

Now in stock!  We take BTC (only) and have a 99 cent US shipping fee.  Add as many items as you want for 99 cent US shipping!  We ship internationally as well, just ask!

Will you check if everything's fine with the cards (bitcoin & gaming) once you get them before you ship them?
If the buyer wishes that it is possible.  Others might want them sealed and untouched as they are warranted.  I have never had to return a NEW card that I had purchased.  The only cards that ever came in 'funny' are the ones from bensoutlet, but they were refurbs.
2467  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 30, 2012, 01:47:00 AM
Were these RMA's? Is that why they have nothing and you aren't getting them until Tuesday?
Brand new OEMS's just as stated above.
2468  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 30, 2012, 12:23:00 AM
What payment methods are you accepting I might be interested in one of these cards?
Only BTC.
2469  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 29, 2012, 06:54:27 PM
I can put both cards in a large flat rate international box.  I may not be able to include (fit) the original boxes but they can be packed well.   The total would be $880 but that does NOT include your customs.   I have no idea what your customs will charge you.

The price of $880 international shipped applies to almost every country other then the USA where it is $820 for both.  So if you are almost anywhere else I can do it at that price without the original boxes.
2470  Economy / Goods / Re: Microsoft Windows XP Pro & Home: Real OEM Software with COA and Disc on: January 29, 2012, 03:50:27 AM
I regualrly sell these on Ebay for $70+.

Ebay closes these auctions as they find them as a VERO violations.
2471  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 29, 2012, 03:15:39 AM
I will buy both for 395 each including shipping to edmonton, canada
Sorry, I was serious about mining with em.  They pay off pretty quick for me.  $410 is the tipping point where I would sell them and take a (smaller) profit up front.  Mining they should pay off (cards only) in about five months or a whole system in closer to seven months at current pricing.
2472  Economy / Goods / Re: Awesome T-shirts from Babbletees.com on: January 29, 2012, 01:47:17 AM
The only payment they seem to accept is paypal.
2473  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] 2x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA each or + shipping international on: January 29, 2012, 12:34:56 AM
bump!
2474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All The Fees on: January 28, 2012, 05:12:53 AM
I think the fees are too high. I buy everything with cash, a debit card (fee is around 25 cents in the US I think), or a check.

How do you use cash online?  I would stick it in the CD drive but most computers do not have them now.
2475  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: So with the new 7 series cards coming out.. on: January 28, 2012, 02:52:39 AM
I do think 5970's will drop some but slowly.  It is a great card and mining it can make money.  As long as it makes money it's value will not drop too much.

If the price of bitcoin drops, then all bets are off and the value will certainly fall.
2476  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5970's at newegg for $329 on: January 28, 2012, 01:35:27 AM
Probably just a few that people sent back because there used or broken, and newegg just posts them up as brand new again.
Actually newegg is one of the places that does NOT seem to do this.  They sell the open box ones as separate listings.  Bensoutlet.com sold a bunch of the factory refurbished about a month ago, and those were not so consistent as the new ones I have bought from newegg.
2477  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do China products has poor quality? on: January 27, 2012, 11:19:08 PM
What I have found to be poor quality from China are tools.  I have bought a number of cheap screwdrivers and had them fall apart within a day of use.  Compare that to a Craftsman brand that has lasted most of my lifetime.   I bet there are very good brands of Chinese made tools, but you need to watch out for the cheap stuff.  In many ways I would call them fake tools because they are not hardened properly (or at all!).
2478  Economy / Goods / [sold] 3x Diamond 5970 new oem $410 shipped USA on: January 27, 2012, 10:28:36 PM
I will not have these cards until Tuesday.  Brand new but OEM so they come with nothing but the card.  I will process reasonable RMA's if buyer pays all shipping costs for one year.  I make no warranty myself on these cards, if Diamond refuses then you are screwed.

US shipping will be priority tracked.  I will ship international with a proper customs form (no marking as gift) for actual shipping cost.

No lower offers please, I will just place em in rigs and mine below $410 each.

I picked up the 5970's for $329.  The average ebay selling price on used is around $350, new closer to $420.
