2461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Newbie Needs some help :D on: January 31, 2022, 09:22:20 PM

You can achieve a lot of profits from social media such as Facebook, telegram and Twitter, if you can be able to follow their rules and regulations that guide them. As a newbie it will be very easy for you to start earning profit from social media if you have any knowledge about cryptocurrency. Keep watching the way others are using it to make a good income and the strategy they are using both long term and short term investment. Those professional you are seeing around the community experienced what you are experiencing right now before they get to where they are today.
Learning can't be done in just one day or two, that is why if we want to learn more and want to succeed from trading then we have to make it harder and push ourselves sometimes to the limit as the reward could be great after all. It sometimes I do a copy trading, following others works and strategy is somewhat helpful but yeah, not all the time to works and we also think that all the time we got into profit as losses can be possible any time even how much careful we are.
2462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: the comforts of bitcoin on: January 31, 2022, 01:53:39 PM
As a matter of fact, how many among us Bitcoin supporters and owners have closed our bank accounts since we got into Bitcoin?
It's nonsense to me to close my bank accounts just because I have bitcoin or crypto, not unless I'm living a place where bitcoin is fully accepted and almost all stores where my daily needs can get accepts bitcoin, maybe in el salvador, but I'm not and idk how many people on this forum resides there.

That's what I'm saying. The reality is that when it comes to financial services, the banks are still the ones to depend on. The truth of our day-to-day life is that we are not replacing banks with Bitcoin. So there's really no avoiding driving to the bank, decreasing queues in banks, cancelling of bank appointments, and so on because there's Bitcoin.

As a matter of fact, the banks themselves are addressing such concerns. They have made innovations themselves so that their clients won't have to drive to a branch, line up in long queues, have an appointment, and so on. They've made use of technologies and cater banking services to their clients 24/7 and from the comforts of their homes.
New technologies had brought us convenience, not just only Bitcoin. For we are in the internet era and with the use of online transactions, we can do more things that it never happens before. Perhaps, banks offer such online transactions and with that kind of innovation, we have made a lot of changes and easy life. I also think that even without Bitcoin, these huge changes will come. It was just a coincidence that happens and I think we are clear to that.
2463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 31, 2022, 12:52:45 PM
I like the odds on Thurman by KO win. I think Keith will go for a big win here and show the world that he is definitely back. Sort of sending messages to the rest of the welterweight that he is back to reclaim his title (and this is what he is saying when he is being interviewed for this fight).

So it doesn't matter what round will Thurman get the KO, maybe it going to be in late rounds.
But still, it will be a hard fight in the beginning for him, a lot of adjustments and then if the KO is there, he will go for it.

It's somehow expected that Thurman will go berserk mode in either the middle rounds or late rounds because in the first few rounds he'll probably overcome the ringrust effect first before he can fight comfortably and confidently. But sure that won't be a problem to him as he's a former world champion. Both fighters are so dedicated and determined to win this match, they have their own reasons why and we probably know that already, anyway we will see it soon.

Not only that, but Thurman is a slow starter, just like in the Manny fight. He started very slow and then get's how in the mid rounds but it was not enough as Manny has build a good lead in the fight.

So we will see if he will change this (but I highly doubt it), and we all know that ring rust will play a big factor for him in this fight. So probably he will just coast early trying to shake his ring rust and then if he found openings in the middle rounds then he can go and start for there.

Not all the fight he is a slow starter I guess, it's just normal that he starts slowly with Pacman as he knows his power, and maybe he was hesitant to attack as he might be in trouble. This is a different fight, a different level of fighter and not even on the level of Pacman and other champions, so I expect Thurman to be aggressive from the start to the end.
2464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 31, 2022, 12:29:34 PM
Let's just look forward and hope that there would be no suspensions again and that the games will continue until the season ends.
I think what we should look for now is if the PBA would really resume on the date they announce, and that is on February 11, 2022. We are still in a pandemic, and anytime the cases of the omicron virus will rise again, it's like we are going back and forth of the restrictions in a never-ending problem.

Eveyone is excited for the return of the PBA, so if they start and later it will be suspended, that would make the fans disappointed and that's what I don't want to see.
2465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is valuable? on: January 31, 2022, 12:02:39 PM
Bitcoin is most popular and valuable coin coin market. Bitcoin already proved their valuable and huge supply. Bitcoin price always pump and dumps because decentralization will be never stable. People interested in bitcoin investment day by day.I hope bitcoin development will be more increase in future and more valuable.
Only a few people had joined the community and knows Bitcoin in the early days until such time that Bitcoin price surging high and it gets attention to the public. And the only thing that makes this valuable is its underlying price hike that helps people become profitable. And if not will be going to happen, no doubts that people still ignore Bitcoin.
As we valued Bitcoin now and in the future, the more we can see such a huge development and to expect that the demand will still getting high.
2466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Choosing the right exchange on: January 31, 2022, 10:57:30 AM
KuCoin and Gate.io are good exchanges so I think you can use both exchanges to trade. But if you want to search which exchange will have the lowest bid, I think that will depend on the coin itself because sometimes coin A in KuCoin will have the lowest price and vice versa.

I guess you want to use both exchanges for arbitrage trading or I could be wrong because you compare both exchanges to find the lowest price. Whether which exchanges you will select, you should check everything before buying or selling and make sure you analyze to find the price.
They are good and trusted anyway but traders will look for exchanges where they can save some cost of withdrawal expenses. This really matters a lot for now and that is sometimes even exchanges will ask KYC they will still choose them for that matter. Of course, we don't have to forget the reputation of an exchange, we need also to be sure that we are safe and we can withdraw our funds anytime. And not only that, choosing the best and know exchanges we can easily make a trade, we don't wait too long to get filled our buy/sell option, unlike the others.
2467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best strategy for crypto trading on: January 30, 2022, 10:09:55 PM
This leads to daily trading I rarely do this because I'm busy and can't monitor market developments every day so of course I use common basic techniques with others but to do this strategy I certainly choose TradingView analysis to try trend lines and break outs but there are Many of the other techniques depend on the particular coin and can be seen from trends or pumps.

But if I didn't have the best strategy guide in the article on the trading board, I forgot to save it even though it's quite complete in the guide.
I hope it's Quick Trading Pattern Guide for Newbie traders you mean but that's what has been helping me for over a year since this thread was created by noormcs5. Honestly, this guide for a beginner will be very easy and very helpful in understanding some basic introductions. Especially as a day trader. Since the OP is not a beginner I'm quite hesitant to provide this guide.
I believe that thread is still very important even if you are not a newbie anymore. As learning can't just happen when you are about to start trading, it can happen all the time as long as you are in trading. But of course, it doesn't make sense if we just only read, it needs applications and so live trading is going to happen just to know if that is working or not.
It has also to know that there is no such perfect strategy to follow as it all depends on us individually as sometimes some strategy never works for all of us.
2468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: January 30, 2022, 09:05:50 PM
Metaverse technology was suppose to create some hype for 2022 and spike another bull run, but it seems it's not yet fully developed to the extend of creating the needed adoption. Buying and selling lands in the metaverse still seems like a Greek to me. I am still learning though.
Well, there has been the hype that has started last year. I think that's it and likely about to be over but for some Metaverse projects, they're going to be still popular but the hype and value of their token losses a lot. The positive on that part is that they'll stay in the market with the popularity they've gained last year. I think that's the good thing that has happened to them and even in a bear market, they already have the loyalty of their players that are for the NFT game that's enjoyable and not only to the token's value.
They are not yet too popular compared to NFT but their names have been already on the whitelist. Well, think about hypes and bubbles, it hasn't looked by now but just like many projects once it was done with that trend can be possible the next move will be the dump, burst. Considering that situation that is how I just consider them for a short-term investment, not ideal for long-term as to speculate that it is hard for them to recover once they reach on the ground.
2469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello I am novice on: January 30, 2022, 02:43:16 PM
Reading is a window to the world, by reading will increase the benefits in you and can also make you understand what has been incomprehensible.

Yes, you are right that mate reading is the best tool we use to build our knowledge here in our community, as we know that all the materials to build are already here, the only thing we do is that searching all the useful threads/topics and study what it is all about and then for sure day by day doing this after few months you will shock and say  I am one of those users who know crypto.

Perhaps we do reading and to understand what has been written. Many people were able to read but unfortunately, they don't understand, they still fall into the wrong direction and convictions.
That is why we need to encourage newbies not to stop learning as this is the only way to enlighten their market views about the crypto and never get easily affected by the news outside but rather to stick to what they have learned. For as long as we are doing the right things and abide by the rules, that is certainly fine.
2470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 30, 2022, 01:40:21 PM
Is there any site to see the odds already? or still waiting since April might not still be the final date?

I don't see a site having the odds yet, maybe it's still too early to ask for the betting odds, they are not as popular as the biggest names in the sports of boxing, so we have to be more patient to wait until the odds are out.

From what I read, Casimero here is the heavy favorites, more like a .

Casimero is a huge betting favorite for this weekend’s bout against Butler with odds ranging from -2000 to -3400. These are the largest his odds have been in at least six years.

2471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 30, 2022, 01:18:57 PM

It's good that they already have a date for the resumption. I think all of the imports who nurses an injury are all well now and those who are in the US will have some time to travel and be there in the re-opening.

If NCR is on alert level 2 then possibly crowd will be allowed soon.

Anybody here knew the status of James Yap on ROS? He was given a contract by ROS and yet i have not seen him played this conference.
It's been adjust for the betterment I guess, thanks for the update and changing alert level will allow the full resumptions of the game and with lowering it to alert 2 means that in any time soon the crowd will also be allowed to watch the games, I more on seeing them inside metro and not in a bubble type setup.

Very familiar venue and players don't need to adjust, practices will also be resumed and they can work everything in a normal way.

Let's hope for the best and enjoy picking our bets..  Roll Eyes Wink

It's great that our country was able to manage the pandemic, the number of cases are dropping so we are back in business again, especially for the PBA. I expect a full resumption that no interruption is going to happen again. Everything should be in place now that PBA will resume in February 11, and the amount of time given for practice is enough for them to fully prepared for the remainder of the conference.
2472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 30, 2022, 12:47:29 PM

This is the kind of fight that we would like to see, champion vs champion or the best vs the best. Ugas used Pacman as his stepping stone to have bigger fights and it's a dream come true for him because after Pacman, he now will face Spence, and who knows it will be Crawford next.

It's a battle that he should take, instead of playing safe and fighting the challengers without a belt, he chooses Spence who is better than him in the eyes of the many. It's about time for him to prove that he deserved to be in the top 3 of the welterweight division and that starts by beating Spence in this fight.
2473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payments decline as other cryptocurrencies grow on: January 29, 2022, 09:38:49 PM
According to the news, it is said that bitcoin payment of users that use BitPay has declined from 92% in 2020 to 65% in 2021.

https://wealthybot.io/bitcoin-payments-decline-as-other-cryptocurrencies-grow/

Quote
According to BitPay, Bitcoin’s (BTC) usage at businesses that use its payment system fell last year to about 65% of processed transactions, down from 92% in 2020. Along with this change, Ether (ETH) represented 15% of all transactions, whereas other currencies such as Litecoin (LTC) and Dash have increased their portion.

Businesses have started using stablecoins more frequently for cross-border payments since November when crypto values had been depreciating.

That could be a factor if people are now securing the value of their money and that urge them to use stablecoins instead of Bitcoin. With that 1 year observation, I think it was reliable and that was too convincing that people are just considering Bitcoin as an investment, not a currency anymore. And with the existing downtrend of the price, the more they'll hold and not to sell nor it spends them. Likely, if the situation goes like this, we can't hide the possibility that instead of seeing Bitcoin become a legal tender it will fail.
2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 29, 2022, 12:20:34 PM

But isn't it final already that they will resume next month on the 1st week?

No import, I think it's not exciting, however, I would just accept it as it's better to have that than no PBA at all.
I hope there's no more changes and we will finally see the return of the PBA conference, I think it's almost a month already since it was stopped.

I will echo you from here, whatever the decision will take place as long as the league will go back, it's better than nothing at all, i also don't have any idea with what would be the case for the imports but for sure we will see that once the PBA resume, only a few more days and we will see our favorite team and players to be back in actions.

Though still depends on how the PBA will announce it but so far there are no changes after they inform the public that first week of
Feb they will start the game and resume.

Also, until there's no assurance that they will resume 1st week next month, let us not expect a lot as we might only be discouraged. of course we want to see some action again, but the PBA has been pause for now and all we have to hope is that there will be no more problem that will come in the next few days.

Quote
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial on Monday, January 24, said the board of governors agreed to restart the stalled Governors’ Cup in February with the number of coronavirus cases, particularly in Metro Manila, starting to drop.
Marcial said the league was just waiting for the approval of local government units (LGUs) for the return of scrimmages as the board of governors acknowledged that teams should be given 10 days to practice.
Source: https://www.rappler.com/sports/pba/pba-eyes-february-restart-for-stalled-governors-cup/

As stated from the source, they're still waiting for the LGU's approval to have a green light and to start the 10-day allocated practice before they announce the exact date of when does the games will resume, so I guess 1st week of February isn't final yet. But atleast we know that there's something we can look forward to especially that this games is likely to happen as the covid cases is also slowing down.

That's great, but they seemed to be confident to say that they will resume next week, so most likely we will see the PBA soon. I'm happy with the news, it seems so positive and I really want to start betting on PBA games again as I'm in a good run thus far, hope my momentum will not be ruined though.

Here's another source of the information.
https://pba.ph/news/pba-resumption-without-fans-anew

It's just a projection, it's not final yet but what is final is that when the PBA will resume, there will be no fans, just like a bubble set up.
2475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 29, 2022, 12:00:34 PM

Ugas style may not work against Spence, but I still trust he could deliver a good fight. I feel that this fight is going to be close and though in the end, Spence will win but he will not dominate Ugas here. There are lots of speculation in this fight, but let's just see who's gonna win in this anticipated fight.

It will not work for Spence because Spence will make sure he is healthy and could destroy his defense. Ugas fought Pacman that has a problem with his mobility so he won the fight, if we the fight, Pacman really have a problem with his foot that he cannot use his speed, so Ugas took advantage of that using his good defense and long reach. The strategy was very simple but it gave him a unanimous win.

Style makes fight so we will see who will adjust on their fighting style. But I'm leaning towards Spence to change his stance if necessary to combat Ugas. And I would say that Spence is much faster than Ugas but they may have the same power. But I don't think that Ugas will look for his Pacman performance and do the same because he is facing a different fighter, a taller one with good mobility and can adapt and change stance. So yeah, this could be a close one but maybe Spence can win by a unanimous decision.

Correct, this is going to be a fight of adjustments, if anyone will be the first one to make a move and be aggressive then the other one will adjust. So most likely this will be a 12 round fight an then the decision going to be on Spence somewhat, maybe a 8-4 rounds in favor of Spence. But it will be a good fight no matter what and whoever wins will be one of the best in this division.

12 rounds fight as long as it's not boring is good but it's better if we see a knockout in this fight so we will be entertained more. I'm sure the knockout is not gonna be the courtesy of Ugas because he plays a defensive style, he isn't so aggressive, so I don't expect it will happen.
2476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: January 28, 2022, 11:21:31 PM
Investing in Bitcoin with a little fund is like crawling your way to the top. If you must hold Bitcoin, to and make good returns then you should have massive capital to fund your way up. To curb this issues there are projects that has a promising end so its more wiser to do a portfolio diversification. Now different coins are built on different smart chain network so it's good enough to do enough research and make an investment ignoring if the dip along Bitcoin if it dips also remember most of this projects will also upsurge once the price inflates
Huge capital = huge return but can be of huge losses as well if got mistaken.
Small capital = small returns but can be of small losses as well.

Thus, if you were afraid to lose more then they have to choose to invest only a small amount. In fact, the majority of the investors had to start with small capital until such time that they can afford to lose more. It possibly happens to other people, for the starters. This is not a contest and what is important is we are already equipped with knowledge and skill in trading, not just money.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 28, 2022, 01:39:34 PM
@Jating, no words yet on the real score between MP Promotion and Casimero but as per Sean Gibbons' words that they are open for Casimero to go back to them, then i think Quadro Alas is not with them anymore.

Last news i've read is that Casimero has signed up with Probellum, i just don't know if this is long term or just this fight with Butler.

Yeah, that's the last thing that I've heard as well, and I was really surprised that he dump MP and Sean Gibbons to move to Probellum.

And now that we have this news that it was not totally settled with MP, maybe it will give problems for Casimero in the future. But maybe there is no communication, a simple call to Sean Gibbons might settle everything once and for all and Casimero can move on to Probellum if he wanted.

I hope everything will be fixed, Casimero is still at the peak of his career and he could not afford to lose a good promoter that will handle his future fights. He is a Filipino champion, it's just right that he should work on MP, but if his decision is to look for a better opportunity, hopefully things will not messed up.
It's just weird though, I mean Casimero for all we know has been taken care of Manny with his promotional company. What could be reason for Casimero to switch promotions to Probellum? Is there is sweet offer for him? Things like this might be a a make or break for Casimero as you have said he is on the peak of his career and hoping that Probellum will give him a better opportunity than what MP promotions could offer, money and fight wise.

He does not disclose it, and I am sure he would not say anything bad on MP promotion but still choose to work with another promoter. That's just normal in boxing, this is business, whether it's a boxer or a promoter, they will always put their interest first, and we can only speculate on the reason for this one.
2478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 28, 2022, 01:26:10 PM

Bucks vs Knicks, The Bucks needed a win to snap their losing skid right now and the Knicks might be a perfect victim. And it will be in their homecourt so I guess -9.5 for the Bucks in this game.

The line is really too high considering that the Knicks is a decent team. But I like the line, it tells us to bet on the Knicks but what would happen in this game is that the Bucks will dominate them and win by more than 10 points, I hope my expectation will come into reality.

I'm into this forum since 2017, not that active but today I came back since this pandemic force me to continue my journey in crypto market.

I've been part of many bounty before and participate on bounties last year and guess what, some of them didn't pay at all.

Yeah, I feel how desperate when joining bounties today as many people had made complaints about getting nothing from them unlike before where it was profitable. But just to wonder why many people were still joining bounties if they never get any from them. Well, I think is that you make the mistake of joining with them, you have chosen those bounties that are not reliable or not managed by known BM.

You still have the chance if you will remain active in the discussion.

Are the Celtics giving up the playoffs this year?
Not sure with the Celtics now but hopefully they'll stil make it to the playoffs.
At 25-24 record, that is still doable. https://www.espn.ph/nba/table

They bumped their head now and got back to reality as Robert Williams will be untouchable for trade offers. That's good. But they said they are open for trades so who will they offer now? Schroder maybe?
Do you mean Schroder will be traded? He is not making a good salary, so for whom?

Or did you mean Schroder will get a bigger contract?
