1541  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you felt the impact of inflation so far? on: October 13, 2022, 10:41:10 PM
After the Covid-19 crisis, now this inflation strikes again making everyone suffer the huge price increase. I felt how hard it was when you are a breadwinner of your family and it was hard to budget from a small salary. At this time, we need to budget wisely, even some of our necessities are needed to be cut off just to fit the budgeted amount.

I'd see this will not be over too fast, we still probably feel this inflation until the end of this year, and sadly make many poor people suffer the most.
I was very concerned about those jobless people, I'm not sure of they can survive if this situation will take so long or might commit crimes.
1542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading profitable? on: October 13, 2022, 09:49:31 PM
I never tried copy trading but I've heard that it's profitable but depends on who you want to follow, and they said if you want to enter in it must rely which has more followers because it's legitimate and surely you will become profitable afterwards. . It very common last year tbh, and alot of newbies searching and sharing some good experience about it, i don't if still the same until now..
It was profitable depending on what strategy you have been following. Most newbies are doing this just for the sake of having an experience but of course, not all it works so well and fast adoption that even it was profitable, losses are still there. But I think the idea to keep doing this is not good as it encourages to make our own strategy because the market behavior has changed and we need also to adapt to the condition of the market making these old strategies may not work well.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 13, 2022, 02:53:26 PM
I guess both parties have to agree, however, if I would to choose, I will just go for the split as 0.05 is already a decent amount, and since it's just coming from a giveaway, I am already be thankful winning that amount since I didn't risk anything.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 13, 2022, 02:19:06 PM
Breaking news about Jason Castro, he signed a three-year contract extension for TNT.
He deserves it and probably he's seeing himself retiring for TNT and hopefully TNT will give him another opportunity after that, if ever he decides to retire.

He deserved this contract extension and I think this is the management's way of thanking him for leading the TNT franchise to countless battles and also giving them championships. It is also good to know that they didn't trade him for younger players like what SMB did to Cabagnot and Santos.

I thought that PBA doesn't have a scheduled game tomorrow as no odds are listed in my favorites bookies for PBA games but as I checked the PBA website, there are two games scheduled tomorrow, Blackwater vs Terrafirma and Ginebra vs Phoenix.

The amount is not stated I believe, it's not as transparent as the NBA but for sure it's still a good amount for a veteran and still the leader of the team. Castro approach in playing now is still very effective, he does not play plenty of time, they just save him for fourth quarter big run to win.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2022, 10:09:47 AM
Well, the said article is just created last year and we've been bullish without Elon Musk. I appreciate his participation in growing Bitcoin but not literally I will going to believe that he has the power to manipulate. Could be odd but 2021 is obviously a bullish season and even without EM the market will pump including Bitcoin. It was just a pure imagination that Bitcoin rely on him as it was not, that was the reality. Maybe if he can move it now during ths bear season, then that was the time I will praise him and going to admit that I was wrong.
1546  Economy / Gambling / Re: To what extent do you chase anonymity while gambling? on: October 10, 2022, 01:44:16 PM
Anonymity in gambling is somewhat close to its end as most gambling sites now are requiring KYC. But never say it was a problem unless it was not a trusted site which most people are worried about. Whether we like it or not, a time will come KYC is mandatory, and puts no excuse for us not to do this if we want to gamble. As long as we are using trusted gambling sites, we believe that our personal identities are safe.
Some people say they are afraid about their identities sold in the market, that might happen if we handed our KYC to strangers and scam sites.
1547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 10, 2022, 01:11:44 PM
A great win for Fernando Martinez. Congratulations to him and to all those who placed their bets on him. He's the man. He dominated the fight. He was able to dictate the pace and was the aggressor. Ancajas was there to just follow the drums of Martinez. Ancajas didn't improve. He lacked aggressiveness. There were even rounds when Ancajas was like a tree standing in the middle of the ring while Martinez attacked him from all angles, maximizing the space around him.

Like I said in my previous post, Martinez has Ancajas' numbers and the former was just too good for him and that only shows that the first win was not a fluke at all. This is boxing, styles make a fight and it's just that Martinez is the kryptonite of Ancajas, even if they meet 10 times, 10 times also that Ancajas could lose to Martinez.

Congrats to all the bettors who bet for Martinez (if there were any  Smiley), the odds for a decision win for Martinez were not too attractive but if you are a fan of him that 1,8x was good enough.

Going to lock the thread in a few hours from now and as usual. thanks for all of your comments here that make this thread lively with your thoughts on this fight as usual.

It was very obvious in their first fight but we think it's because of the weight issue of Ancajas, we believe his excuse but when we saw it on this rematch, it was proven that Martinez was really the better fighter, in fact, he dominated Ancajas twice in a row, so he deserved to be a champion.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 10, 2022, 12:31:34 PM
Congratulations to the Ginebra Gin Kings, that wasn't the game that we are expecting, the absence of Myles Powell was really huge for the team, and hopefully they will learn that Ginebra is not an easy team to beat, it's just a happy night for me as I also won my bet on this game.

With Blankley not hitting his 3-pointers and the other outside shooters not getting their usual output, they really miss the production of Myles Powell. I think they missed 19 3-pointers at least. Without Powell creating outside or driving inside to draw defenders, they have a hard time getting their output. We can also consider that the Dragons are adjusting to their new import thus resulting in their poor performance. That poor performance was taken advantage of by Ginebra who performed very well.

Congratulations to Ginebra backers. It's payday for them. If they caught the @4 odds, it's quite a big win.

Myles Powell is a huge factor for their success, he is not only in charge of the offense but also creating a play for his teammates. Well, no excuse because they also have an import, but it was his first game so probably the fatigue factor is still their and the lack of familiarity is one reason.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy wisely not because of anybody. on: October 10, 2022, 09:28:34 AM

My advice is, if you want to start invest in cryptocurrency, make sure you learn about Bitcoin and get educated enough. This will make you to understand what is Bitcoin and why you can trust Bitcoin. Choosing other cryptos is wasting of time IMO.
This is what we are supposed to do but people don't even think about learning first as in their minds is to earn profit and make rich instantly. And a reason why most newbies fall into scam projects and make them say that crypto is a scam. Knowledge is very important here, though losing is avoidable due to high volatility but choosing potential coins seems to minimize it and could somewhat assure something in the future like if you are investing in Bitcoin.
1550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 09, 2022, 01:52:49 PM
Well it's clearly one sided fight by Martinez as we see Ancajas is really struggling after Martinez outbox him on 4th round, there's nothing Ancajas can do after that. I don't really think moving to the next weight will make Ancajas journey will be brighter, IMO he will take few match against non champion boxer on his current weight, then he will challenge another champion.

This year is really bad for Philippine because Donaire, Magsayo and Ancajas didn't won in their big matches.

Well! that's just all it takes when you have a stroke of bad luck. and also boxers nowadays are really clever and lots of devastating losses have happened this year for the Pinoy boxers. Anyway, this kind of event always happens because of the nature of their sports. They should need to do better in training and fight boxers that are not really strong in order to make an easy comeback. Making things complicated in their comeback will give them unnecessary pressure that will gonna ruin their momentum and might gonna be their one-way ticket to retirement.

I guess Ancajas will have to take a break now, he looks like an amateur in this fight, he wants to beat the champion but he wasn't aggressive, so the decision of the judges was pretty obvious. Looks like the strategy is just to score, not hurting Martinez, but as we can see, Martinez is really strong and quicker than Ancajas, and he disrespect the power of Ancajas that's why he keeps getting forward.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 09, 2022, 01:09:49 PM
Great game so far, Brownlee is coking again with already 26 points in the first half.

I think we will see that Bay Area Dragons will not anymore be undefeated after tonight.
So far, it's a very entertaining game and I like the starting 5 of Ginebra due to their good defense.

Exciting 2nd half is coming soon.  Grin

3rd quarter is just starting. It depends if they get a good start on this quarter, Ginebra may win this game. They are playing really good specially brownlee. Malonzo is also putting up good work in defense and offense.

I think Myles Powell is a better fit for the Dragons. They have enough big men that can defend and score in the paint. Without Myles Power, their backcourt becomes a little bit weaker. Also, Powell spread the defense because he is an offensive juggernaut. He can drive when the lane is open, and he can score 3s when needed.

Big 3rd quarter run but Bay Area put their big center on the floor, let's see how Ginebra will adjust and still win the 3rd quarter. I'm confident now that Ginebra will win as no one can stop Justin Brownlee, I would not be surprise if he scores 50 points tonight.

Congratulations to the Ginebra Gin Kings, that wasn't the game that we are expecting, the absence of Myles Powell was really huge for the team, and hopefully they will learn that Ginebra is not an easy team to beat, it's just a happy night for me as I also won my bet on this game.
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 09, 2022, 12:51:42 PM
I'd see no perfect time to invest in Bitcoin but I was sure that every drop is an opportunity that most investors are waiting for.
We can't assume that tomorrow will be the bottom as nobody knows about it. That is why if ever see the market is declining, make ourselves to invest and accumulate more. We don't have to wait for the bottom as most likely we even miss the chance. That is why I encourage people to stop thinking this way but rather consider every drop as an accumulating period.
1553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: no deposit bonuses. on: October 09, 2022, 12:15:06 PM
Hi do you know of any exchanges that offer no deposit bonuses.

I have read that many forex platforms offer no deposit bonuses with the idea of enticing you to start trading.
But I don't know of any cryptocurrency exchanges that offer these no deposit bonuses...does anyone know of any?
Bonuses have usually existed in major exchanges in order to encourage traders to use their platforms. People love it and are happy with that and it was part of the competition by now but it looks like it was a big opposite on your side.

Maybe, you can still find exchanges who are not offering this one but why not take the offer if there is as long as it can be trusted? People are looking for that thing and for one reason, they make use of this to enjoy their site while still learning. Perhaps, the idea was ven helpful for the beginners and it was been a common practice by the majority.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 08, 2022, 02:15:34 PM
In this bearish market, I have seen many projects launched, some of which failed after some time and the majority of them were bounty projects While some lost their marginal value after launch and recovered, I see them as successful projects because as soon as we come out of the bear market. Along with this, these projects will also fly with the direction of the market.
usually this kind of market is only for development and these coins gonna gains momentum in the future, still it depends in the quality of the project itself whether they truly have utility or not, some projects are outright shitcoin meaning even if they could went through these current trend big chance they just gonna become massive failure in the future.
That is certainly the thing to consider as these shitcoins and useless projects have no chance to succeed but a way to fail. Yes, even if they will survive the current situation but they will still end up dying because of having no support to protect them. I'd consider this bear situation is a way to filter promising projects out from worthless ones. The way to filter new projects and let those projects that have the capabilities survive the dip and eventually grow after.
1555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every signal is a speculation on: October 08, 2022, 12:30:14 PM
I have had experience dealing with crypto experts who provide signals with lots of indicators, strategies and analysis and i came to discover no one is a master of the market. Some analysis can go with the trend some against the trend, Some might profit on a long term, some on a short term while others only project loses.

And it was confusing...
Indeed, many people are self-claimed experts and they are giving signals to those who wanted it. I don't know what is their basis for trusting someone who does this as for me, they are just like us which are also relying on the price chart and of course, the capability to speculate the market. If we are about to spend the market and trying hard to analyze it, I believe we can do even better with these experts.

I believe there are some experts who really exist but it was different in crypto where it is absolutely unpredictable, unlike the others.
1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 08, 2022, 11:44:39 AM

Delaying the fight is not necessary anymore, as if this fight will not be sold out once it is announced. There are big reasons behind, it's probably not because they are not yet convince they can make the target revenue in this fight but most probably the terms on both teams are not yet meet.

Both camps are demanding and very meticulous in the details of the contract, they have already months to settle all the issues, this is what happens if one of the camps does not want the fight to proceed and will make it appear that the other camp that doesn't want the fight to push through.

It's now or never for both camps there are a lot of promising boxers on the rise and one of them is Ennis, they are not getting any younger anymore but up to now both of them don't have what you might be called a legacy fight, this fight is a legacy fight that will define their respective career.

Who will win this possible fight will take home all the belts from this division. It will be a fulfilling legacy for the winner.

Though there is still negotiation and there are no clear updates in terms of confirmations between the two camps
and yes, they are not getting any younger might be possible if, in case they will not proceed, both camps will find
another challenger and make a decent amount of winning profits.

Maybe fulfilling but I'm pretty sure once this fight happens there will be a rematch clause, so whoever wins the fight is not going to enjoy holding the belt for long as the loser might take revenge in the rematch. This would happen especially if the fight is close or will end in a controversial decision by the judges, but as a fan, I would rather see a KO than taking this fight to the hands of the judges.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 08, 2022, 11:11:04 AM
For those who want to place for Ancajas, why not consider betting for him winning by decision @ 6.80?
It's because Ancajas is a KO artist, although this fight would likely end via decision. The odds Martinez win via KO is high too for 4.80x.

The fight will happen this day, I'm excited to see Ancajas can revenge his lose before and achieving a KO result would be insane. If Ancajas would still lose this rematch, his mental could be messed up since it's kind of humiliation for him.

He has a good KO record but I don't call him as a KO artist.

22 KOs from 33 fights, https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/506289.. that's only 67% KO rate, not so high IMO compared to the boxers who are real KO artist.
Being technical is what I expect to see from him in this fight, because I believe that with that strategy, it will give him the best chance of winning.
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 07, 2022, 09:41:01 PM
It was an individual decision and mindset. Those individuals who are satisfied with what they get today will no longer urge themselves to work hard and find another way of living. But those who aim high and wanted to improve their lives, are even more eager and aggressive to find a way out from below down. There are absolute differences between being in a poor mindset and a rich mindset.

We can't blame others because we see no changes in our life but just ourselves because we never take action while we still have the energy to do it.

I heard Mike Tyson is seriously ill, he can't walk and is only in a wheelchair, is this true?

I'm not aware of it though, but if this is true, then this is a sad news.

I'm also not aware on this that's why I made some research, and there it goes.

Suffering From Crippling Illness, Mike Tyson Makes Disturbing ‘Pigeon Coop’ & People Comparison

Quote
Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson often stuns his fans with his out-of-the-blue one-liners. The veteran athlete was recently seen in a wheelchair in a frail condition. He was suffering from sciatica flare-up; a lower-back medical condition. Even though he recovered from his sickness, he went through a period where he had trouble walking and even used a walking stick to move around.

I hope he will be okay, he is one of the legends in the sports of boxing and it's just sad he suffered from this kind of disease.
1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 07, 2022, 02:23:47 PM
^ Yes, same expectation as others, he should be showing us a good performance in this comeback fight. We missed him already when he involved himself to protect his homeland. But it's time that he goes back fighting against like his compatriot in Usyk. So if he wins by knockout or a complete shut out of Ortiz in the judges card, I'm not going to be surprised as this is the Loma that we are familiar since he become a champion.

You don't need to ask that for him because we know Loma, he is a great boxer and he is always an entertaining boxer to watch. In fact, I'm more interested on his next fight as this fight is just probably his warm up before a big fight which could happen this year.
