2481  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Any open source bitcoin/currency exchange software? on: April 03, 2013, 02:33:18 PM
A single decentralized p2p market in onionland or i2p..

There is a reason no decentralized p2p market in tor or i2p has been start, that is way too anonymous for a site like this. You want to know who you are sending huge amounts of money too and if something happens someone can fix it.
2482  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTCJam - Bemtje, Paranorman, SynOps *defaults only* on: April 03, 2013, 02:04:13 PM
Disappointing to see no payments from you, Synops.

It is cause he didn't assume any risk on the loan, I think he should get a scammer tag, he is trying to get out of it cause he is blaming a web site for his defaulting LMAO. Some people never think any risk will happen then it happens his pants are down and now he is saying no the website did this LMAO Some people are so dumb when it comes to loans NEVER INVEST WITH A SCAMMER, he was shady from day one and look now.
2483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ATTN: BTCjam Users & Other Crowd Funding User on: April 03, 2013, 01:57:38 PM
(IE. 10 BTC Loan in November was $130...NOW that 10 BTC is worth $800-900ish.)

(BTCjam makes $ on our loans...so shouldn't we get answers whenever we want?!)

LMAO I like how people are trying get out of there loans cause bitcoin went from $13-$120, that is called you didn't assume the risk correctly, you should get a scammer tag. Also if your making money don't you have profits which you could be buying with bitcoins? I mean this is a joke, if everyone else in the bitcoin world can pay back loans and you can't that is called being a defaulter. And I like how your trying to blame a website for you not paying back LMAO no you messed up and now you don't want to think that you never planned on this happening lets blame a website to make it look like I did nothing wrong. Well that may work for others, but for me I saw from the beginning a scammer and now your sitting here as a scammer.
2484  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: April 03, 2013, 01:44:32 PM
Seems like the soaring exchange rate has encouraged many to "forget" to make payments. I'm done with unsecured loans.

Understood - but for some people who borrowed and used the money in real economic endevours, the rates now on repayment exceed loan sharks.  More specifically, when pegged to real currency, the loan violate many jurisdictions usuary laws since given the currency exchange the "interest" is now in excess of 400%.

At the same time I can understand the argument that these are pure BTC loans and no reference to local currency should be made.  I think that ignores the real world of getting BTC to fund real world tasks which often requires the conversion.

I am in this situation. I won't go into detail here though.
I'm also in this situation, and at this point, I am unable to keep the repayment schedule, no matter how I try to do the math it isn't possible... the remainder of the payments on my loan are going to be late... and the more the exchange rate rises, the later they will be.

Nothing else I can do... sucks... I barely stayed on time as it is.

I considered the possibility of BTC rising to 20 USD, or 30 USD on the outside... almost 110 USD? WAY beyond any schedule I can keep.

At the current price, it is 1000% more than what I cashed out the BTC from my loan for, not including the loan interest itself.

-- Smoov

Then you deserve a scammer tag, cause that is bitcoins, you know it could do that, you accepted that risk when you took out a loan. This also takes away from the people that are paying on time, all my loans are coming in no issues.

Instead of using <script> tag to link to those javascript functions, you should include them inside the <script> tag.

2491  Economy / Auctions / Re: Domains for Sale: bitcoingame.com, bitcoingames.com, bitcoingaming.com on: April 01, 2013, 05:02:01 AM
  • This auction has an undisclosed reserve.

Unfortunately the reserve was not met for any of the domains.  I shall try again at a later date.

You should have sha-256 hashed the reserve with the time of the beginning of the date, then at the end revealed it cause you kinda looking shady, cause if the reverse was met no one would have known.

plus

bid:
.75 BTC Bitcoingame.com
1.0 BTC Bitcoingames.com
.5 BTC Bitcoingaming.com

are very good prices, I would have taken that easily for those domains.

2493  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - US-based Exchange w/ Margin Trading on: March 31, 2013, 11:45:04 PM
I clicked a link https://www.kraken.com/signup and keep getting 503 Error, I am sorry but every time I try your site, there is an issue, and I haven't even signed up, so I can't keep my money in a place that doesn't even work when I just trying to sign up.
2494  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Connect to non-local bitcoind? on: March 31, 2013, 09:54:03 PM
Bitcoin wasn't designed with a client-server model in mind and it's causing problems.  A single home or business network shouldn't need to store N*M copies of the blockchain and require N*M external connections to the P2P network where N is the number of users and M is the number of devices each user owns.

Yeah, that seriously needs looking at.

At 7GB (or so) sitting on my machine, it's pretty ridiculous to have to repeat the exact same open-for-everyone-to-see information for each user.

Research P2P architecture, so while you think it is ridiculous it is the proper way.
2495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Web 3.0 on: March 31, 2013, 06:58:22 PM
web 1.0 = passive
web 2.0 = active
web 3.0 = payments???

I don't think web 3.0 is a good word to be used with bitcoin, it really makes no sense.
If you think of Bitcoin as an essential money system for the internet, then it is a marketing vector that might work. Americans are inculcated from birth to label by brands rather than function.

But isn't Bitcoin the brand? I just think that web 3.0 doesn't really make me think Bitcoin, it just doesn't make sense, plus web 3.0 has been branded as mobile I think anyway.
2496  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt 0.8.x MacOS X app menu on: March 31, 2013, 03:50:20 AM
I have been developing myself over the last 20 years on AmigaOS, MS-DOS, Windows NT, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS and Android platforms (in more or less that order...)

Nice!  We need a good Mac OSX developer, do you know C++?  Are you willing to learn Qt?

My main machine is a Mac, but I'm not an expert OSX developer (I spend all my time in a Terminal window in emacs, pretending my Mac is a Unix machine).

No, all you need are a few bitcoins Cool because I have made a coinfunder project for this project: https://www.coinfunder.com/project/view/id/20

I'm a good Mac OSX developer with knowledge of Qt, XCode and C++.  This looks like a very easy task, so head over to the coinfunder project if you want to see this issue fixed.

That is great your going to extort your skills for the greater good of succeeding of bitcoin.

2498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just tried sending coins to bitcoin qt address but they never arrived. on: March 31, 2013, 02:51:12 AM
waited a couple hours.
Qt is up to date with transaction history.
Sent from blockchain.info.....
It was quite a small amount, but i selected frugal/no fee's from blockchain.info
what could i have done wrong?

Do you have the tx id, but yes no fee will take longer, could take up to day to get a confirmation.
2499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are MtGox live feeds down? on: March 31, 2013, 01:42:20 AM
clarkmoody is working again now for me. I hope MtGox is investing in, and upgrading, their servers 24/7. Things could go crazy in the coming week(s) not to mention months. There could easily be 10x the activity soon.

I second this, the greatest shitstorm of our lifes is about to hit.

Look into other exchanges, vote with your wallet. Bitstamp is very good exchange.
