1601  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 5-6 BTC loan for a period of 40 days on: December 01, 2013, 07:31:54 PM
You have yet to post what type of venture. So I really doubt a secret investor wanted to invest in you just thru what you have posted LMAO. I am an investor and that isn't how it happens, and it doesn't happen in 2 days I assure you that.
1602  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for browser plugin/extension which verifies hyperlinks on: December 01, 2013, 02:08:13 AM

1603  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your pic! on: November 30, 2013, 09:57:19 PM
Jesus christ can we just stop talking about him?

I think we need closure that you are not ron or ron isn't you or ron isn't taking your pics or something like that.

You never did answer what time zone you're in?

What a weird question. Why? I feel like there's something malicious about this.

Maybe to check the EXIF data of your pictures Wink

You do know imgur removes EXIF data Wink So yeah Mr. l33t you do that.
1604  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Program to send eMail's for 0.1 BTC on: November 30, 2013, 07:27:28 PM
Obvious scam, malware.
1605  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to pronounce 'theymos'? on: November 30, 2013, 07:03:39 AM
They most, that is how I say it but I am not great with names LOL
1606  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 30, 2013, 02:07:33 AM
I actually bought two of them- the plastic ones. Stick- would it be possible to 'upgrade' mine to the Metal bodies? Considering the BTC I send is now worth over a $1000? :-)

Unfortunately no. Bitcoins were exchanged to Euro to cover productions costs, not held to speculate on exchange rate.

You claim your device provides security, could you explain how does it provide security comparable to an airgapped computer?
What if malware intercepts wallet sign request and give out a forged request to the device when you legitimately ask it to sign something? The person with the device will have to read the small screen each time to be sure he isn't about to sign away all his bitcoins. How many will do so, especially if the malware is careful and does it only after it detects mass manual transactions when a user is less likely to pay attention for example?

You failed to respond to my earlier post, I wonder why.

These questions have been answered before.

Also malware can't forge a request because it shows you the request and you have to enter a pin to sign that transaction. If someone doesn't read the screen then that is their fault and shouldn't be upset if their coins are stolen.
1607  Other / Meta / Re: Images now proxied on: November 27, 2013, 10:29:41 PM
This was a bad change.
In regards to tracking pixels - if you don't think it's trustworthy, don't click it!

The thing is: YOU DON'T NEED TO CLICK THEM. Just opening the page is enough.

I can offer hosting and bandwidth for an image proxy. Get me the script and I'll install it on one of my servers.

I have a script if you want to use it, it is all in php and probably needs some space to hold some images, but also a mysql server and cron.

I try to put it on github tonight or some time after I test it.
1608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to build my own exchange web? on: November 27, 2013, 07:48:04 PM
If you are asking, then you shouldn't be creating it. Exchanges are very costly, everything is zero critical. Also trading engines shouldn't be in php, they should be in higher language.
1609  Bitcoin / Armory / How can I generate alot of addresses inside armory? on: November 27, 2013, 05:16:51 PM
I would like to generate a lot of addresses using armory since I would only need to back up that code, and be able to restore. How can I do this in the gui? Is it even possible in the gui?
1610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Professional Dominatrix. on: November 25, 2013, 08:54:28 PM
But sadly these people need help, therapy they have issues, these girls are preying on it. Just like drug dealers prey on people with addiction and casinos prey on people with addictive personalities.

Casinos hardly prey on people. They're not forcing people to go into them and gamble. There's also hardly anyone who is ever forced to take drugs. The idea of a 'drug-pusher' is largely a myth propagated by anti-drug scaremongers - the same people who brought you the 'Cannabis is a gateway drug' catchphrase. Do people actually go to buy some weed and their dealer goes "no, but I've got this really good crystal meth though and you really, really should try it" and if they did, you don't have to buy it. Most people will have some vice or addiction, some are just more costlier/damaging/controversial than others, and people will always be there to capitalise on it, whether morally dubious or not.

No one is forcing them but their own mind. Which is why it is called addiction. And you just proved my point with your last sentence. So you agree some people have these addiction of which they can't control.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx: Fee shares on: November 25, 2013, 04:49:43 AM
OpenEx needs to raise some money to cover early costs, specifically for servers.

This will probably get deleted, but if you scale properly you shouldn't need any funds for servers. You should be able to get server's for about $20/month and that should be good enough to run a small exchange. Then using all profits then you should be able to move up to $75/month. Then hopefully cloud hosting.

I also hope you aren't running the wallets on the same server as the front-end. I hope you are using cold storage, this requires a bit more work but you own that to your customers.

Also you should really get your trust feedback worked out.

1614  Other / Archival / Re: Custom Amateur Picture Sets and Panties - Price Negotiable on: November 24, 2013, 02:50:15 AM
You might want to get rid of that CL ad from your sig space. It's useless advertising for it. TF seems to be scamming us and CL funds are frozen.

Good day to you.

The 4ner

No way, didn't he have crazy high rep and had been around since pretty much the advent of this site?

Uhmm this site has been around since ~2010 maybe even earlier and TF came around late 2012. I been here longer than he has.
1615  Bitcoin / Project Development / I am thinking of starting a bitcoin italian american club... on: November 23, 2013, 06:53:28 AM

1616  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: <<WTS>> Pyramining Accounts on: November 23, 2013, 05:59:11 AM
I guess I have to use my bankroll didn't really want to do this, but this rdyoung person is harassing me on my PMs. So any bid by him should be considered invalid, if op agrees to that, then I will be able to bid 4 BTCs.

OP remember who is able to pay good money Wink

1619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Richard Branson + Virgin Galactic Endorses Bitcoin on: November 22, 2013, 07:03:07 PM
O M F G

You are all missing the REAL news here...

From the blog:
"One future astronaut, a female flight attendant from Hawaii, has already purchased her Virgin Galactic ticket using bitcoins"

Smoothie is a woman!!!  Grin

Come on how many early adopters from HI can there be?  Biggest troll on bitcointalk is a female flight attendant...  honestly it makes a strange kind of sense.

I lulzed LMAO
1620  Bitcoin / Press / [2013-11-22] kwikdesk an ephemeral messaging platform mulls introducing bitcoin on: November 22, 2013, 06:05:54 PM

Quote
An interesting idea sprouted up this week called KwikDesk, dubbing itself as a “Snapchat Meets Twitter.”

The service allows anyone to send self-destructing messages into the ether with tags, which can be used to later dig them back up in a search. It’s entirely anonymous, with no senders IP log or record of individual users. Senders can choose to let the message live for 24 hours, 10 days, or 100 days.

Founder Kevin Aboschka tells TechCrunch that the service plans to integrate the transmission of Bitcoin, and has just put a team on it.
