Miners just started beeping, that's not good. What just happened? Planned reboot?
My miners are back online but web page showing 0 GHs.
Edit: Miners now showing up on web page. GH's going back up.
Quite a few unplanned restarts lately The "bug that rears its ugly head occasionally" sure has been active this past week, inversely so to the pool finding blocks. Correlation only, I'm sure, not causation.

Reset or restart?
Restart miner, fixed post above.

Are you using mobile miner as the app or the cryptoglance app. What Nwolls explained was that there could be to many api calls loading up the miners. That was in my case S3+ and S5 also and they both use Cgminer. I am cgminer 4.9 and have not seen the problem lately.
No, I'm not using mobile miner, just the CG app. I check in on them all day long, it's only when I " reset restart miner" that cgminer on the desktop stops responding to the keyboard.

Even but 100% was that my s3 was raning.
What do i ? That i will get 0.004btc ?
Sit back and let it mine for a month, then see what your average is. You don't need to do anything different than you are. If you try switching pools you'll end up chasing your tail and not earn your full potential.

We'll see what information we can get back from the cgminer devs. CryptoGlance isn't doing very much with cgminer, just a few API calls. It's very unlikely we're doing anything to cause it to hang.
Yea, it seems odd, but it is repeatable on my client anyway. Also, I'm running 2.1.0.4-beta, but I don't see change notes for that version, more bug fixes?

Hey all.
First off, I would like to thank you all for helping a n00b with these issues.. I am sure they are simple but not for me.
I am having an issue with my Antminer S3... for the past two days it seems to be hashing along just fine then it will go completely silent. the green light on the front will be off and it seems the miner shuts down. Any suggestions?
Also, I am using wifi with the miner at the moment. I am wanting to use ethernet rather than wifi.. how do I safely switch it to the ethernet from wifi? (The Antminer page is foreign to me)
Thank you all in advance!

You need to log into the miner and see what's it's doing when it "shuts down". Is is still mining? Is it overheating? I have noticed that the fan is running at a higher rate when it shuts down... I was thinking it was getting too hot. I cannot seem to figure out how to change the clock speed... I havent tampered with the clock speed but when I got it i bought it used... So whoever was using it before it is still set at that clock speed.
What frequency is it at right now? There's a drop down menu in miner config to set the frequency.

thanks.
this eligius how many bitcoin will get me if connect s3 (420GHS) and i have runing 24 hourse ?
antpool i got me 0.002 this is very low
Dude, I see your posts all over, you drive me crazy. Like what do you expect? To make 1,000,000 BTC with one S3 miner? To get rich and retire with 400gh/s? Be realistic.

Well...I D/Led cgywin and started reading up on how to use it....sheesh! Guess I'll look for putty and see if that's any easier.
I'll track down the info I have put together, it's really very simple once you know what to do (yea, isn't everything? lol). Learning to use the vi editor is way more confusing, just wait...

Experienced a glitch tonight and not sure if it was cryptoGlance that caused it, but here's what happened.
I checked in on my miners with the android app from work this afternoon and notice that "one" miner (more than one device, it's a laptop with 5 USB miners: 4x nanofury sticks and a U3) had over 200 of the little grayed out devices. For some reason the 4 nanofury sticks kept reseting and creating new devices, so I went to manage and restarted the miner to see if that would fix it. It did not, so I called home and had my wife unplug the usb hub that the 4 sticks were in. When I got home the cgminer on the laptop that controls these miners would not respond to any command, it didn't respond to any key strokes. It was running fine, the U3 chugging along, but I had to force the command line closed. Then I power cycled my usb miners and restarted everything just fine.
I'm curious if the remote miner restart would have caused cgminer to become non-responsive? It's possible whatever was causing the sticks to reset over and over was actually what made cgminer unresponsive, but just thought I'd toss this out there in case.
That's odd... I've ran into a simular issue in the past, ironically it was with HexFury USB miners. I believe this is a cgminer issue or driver issue. CryptoGlance only uses API calls, they do not effect USB devices and their connectivity The USB connectivity wasn't the glitch I was trying to highlight, it was the unresponsive cgminer after the restart. I tried it again and it seems the "restart miner" command issued remotely from the app will cause cgminer to become non-responsive to keyboard commands. I haven't tried if I restart miner from the desktop application, but I have to imagine it will have the same results.

I have upgraded rank to Member and changed my sig, please update me in the campaign, thank you!

I make more on antpool and f2pool than that crap site to many HW errors for me.
Isn't a hardware error just that? How is a hardware error pool related?

I would make them shorter, except that when it happens, I leave it for a few minutes to see if it recovers or to get more information about the cause. I've added more stats logging and other network logging also to try and see if we can find out where the problem is.
Thanks for all the hard work you and Ck put into these projects!

It's been mining for 2 years. It includes the box (minus the upc code) and all original cables. It is pretty clean. If a picture determines whether or not you buy it, I can take one. It looks identical to the one in the link.
Sale complete, unit received today just as described. I dusted it out, plugged it in, and it works like a champ. It is actually 5% more efficient (as measured by Kill-a-Watt at the wall) than the Corsair I had been using on my S1, this psu is the first step into trading up to an S5. Thanks again!

Heres my problem.....I don't know squat about 'putty'. I read the thread on how to enter the other freqs into cgMiner (I have 4.6.1 after the updates). I am clueless. Didn't get how to get into the program...nothing. I don't know code, Linux, etc. Strictly a Windows guy, or old DOS4.x (yup...I'm old). Heck...actually had a machine with DOS2.something. I was pretty good at DOS 5, Linux baffles me!! I am in your same boat and learned how to use Cygwin to ssh in my S1 and S3+, it's really quite simple, just do a little googling about cygwin and ssh. If I was at home I could share my links...

Minera is only for Linux if I'm not mistaken, and I'm not a Linux user (yet).

I wonder if they've seen and pick up in business since starting this campaign last month? Must have had some positive results if they did it for a second month. Hope to see it continue, it's one of the few twitter campaigns that doesn't require +1000 followers.

S3 in mining status what is gh\s (avg) ? What is avg ?
S3+ should see about 450 gh/s at factory freq/volt. S3 is slightly lower.
