I got Sousa +3.5 over against Ivashka at 1.90 and Sousa win in straight sets.

While Gasquet destroys Majchrzak also in 2 sets but i didn't bet on the handicap, but Gasquet easily covered it.

So it will be Ruud vs Opelka on semis and Sousa vs Gasquet on the other side. Not yet put my bet here, will mostly go with the handicap again, but we will see.

Yes Opelka v Ruud would have been a great final match up between two top seeds 4 and
2 respectively. Its impressive in its own right that Ruud carried his form through from
Rome so I'll bet on him again.

it was still Ruud over Opelka in just two sets. I thought that this will end up in three, but Ruud got the break in the second set and it didn't go in the tiebreak as compare to the the first set.

Its quite remarkable to see Gasquet performing so well right before his home tournament!

Yeah, but against Sousa, he play that bad, score 6-2,6-2. Sousa was playing high level tennis in tournament so I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled an upset.
2502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaches maximum, target $80K BTC on: May 20, 2022, 09:27:11 AM
with world economic conditions that are currently not good I think Bitcoin will find it difficult to increase the price to reach the target you mentioned is too high, Bitcoin must wait for the next 3 years to start making price increases because usually the price of bitcoin goes up every 4 years.

Yeah, that is one thing that we can still rely though, after the block halving, Bitcoin price will suddenly swell and a massive growth in expected.

Just like last year, even though we are still in the pandemic, the market rebounded in 2021 hitting a new milestone for us. So perhaps in two years from now, 2024-2025 will be a good gauge for the next eventual bull run and maybe we can surpassed $80,000 as predicted in this thread.
2503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day 2022 on: May 20, 2022, 08:57:51 AM
Yeah, probably order some Pizza or go out with my family (if the weather is good), just to celebrate and it will be the right time to tell my kids about BTC + pizza history.

But obviously, I can't used by Bitcoin though, as no one is accepting it at my place, although there are a lot of crypto enthusiast in my country, they are not ready to have Bitcoin as a payment options.
2504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 20, 2022, 08:21:18 AM
The truth is that if I would like to see a rematch of these two, Bivol should accept the rematch,

Dmitry Bivol is always ready and prepared for a rematch but Canelo's advisors or even boxing analyst says that it's not a good idea to have a rematch with Bivol. We can't even see Canelo having a talk about this then it means he might understand the risks once he goes against Bivol again. I'm with the idea that Canelo's next match won't be either a rematch with Bivol or a trilogy with Canelo.

The way Canelo performed against Bivol, the result will just be repeated. We didn't see the fierce Canelo in that match because Bivol did a great job destroying the rhythm of Canelo. With that Bivol's strategy, Canelo become disappointed and didn't able to focus seriously on the fight. GGG might not be interested anymore with Canelo and will pick another good match before retiring.

Absolutely, that was such a huge loss for Canelo. We can even see on his face and his demeanor during the fight he's upset and frustrated all the time coz his movements became limited because of Bivol's defensive and offensive strategy plus the size. So, yeah I think a rematch will only have the same outcome.
Now, GGG might also not going to pursue their trilogy after this huge loss.

Well I'm thinking otherwise, take out GGG first and then later chase Bivol if he wanted to avenge his lost.

Fans are still waiting for the trilogy with GGG despite Canelo being defeated by Bivol. I mean the table is still there in the table and I believed it is still very big that Canelo can't refused it. Was just a bad stylistic match up for him fighting the bigger champion in Light Heavy weight.
2505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 20, 2022, 08:01:05 AM
Can’t see the odds yes but I go for Magsayo here, he looks sharp and focused which is a good sign for me.

As a bettor, if Magsayo is the underdog here then good for us bettors who want to place a bet. It's good that we will be able to place a bet for good odds while supporting and looking forward to him winning the match.

And this is the best thing for us who support Magsayo, he will be the underdog, then obviously he will be given a good us, and if he wins then we can say that they are all wrong putting him as the underdog in his fight with Vargas.

Although the fight is still very far, but I doubt think the odds are going to change. And if Magsayo shows up looking very sharp and focus then Vargas will be in trouble specially if he underestimate his Filipino opponent.

2507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto NFT is illiquid and prone to a big loss on: May 19, 2022, 06:50:42 AM
NFTs are meant to be collected and the price varies over the period of time but the problem here is the constancy of the creators of NFTs where they keep making new ones.

Anyone can make NFT's and then call it an art, sold and hope that in the future it will have a value, but that is not always the case. As in the case of art collections in real life that can appreciate overtime, NFT's are not as far as I' concern.

What if the NFT you bought last year will no longer be popular next year? because the trend inside the NFT industry keeps changing every year. see? this is the problem now, I wonder how they managed to reconcile these two. New NFT and old NFT.

Yeah, that's one scenario, and it means that the NFT industry is just based on pure hype alone.
2508  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 19, 2022, 02:50:37 AM
but it is always depend in which currency we are investing , if we are tend to put our money in shitcoin then there is a big chances that we will be losing towards that 100% , but if we will secure our Funds in like Bitcoin or Binance coin? then there is a zero chance of this losing but we can experience dumping each time as volatility always takes place , no certain time but this coming to change our mind and strategy.
just keep Holding and you will take what you wanted to achieve .

Bitcoin is a high risk asset. And investing in any of the altcoins means that your risk factor gets multiplied by manytimes. I have refrained from investing in alts since 2018 (when most of them lost up to 99% of their value). And I don't see any point in taking this risk, since remaining invested in Bitcoin can easily get you 10x to 20x returns in the next 5 years. For me, ETH, BNB, ADA and BCH are some of the options that can be considered. But any other coin is out of consideration, at least for the short to medium term.

I guess for us who have been in the market for so long, knows and understand how the market work. There are risks involved, but there are ventures that we really shouldn't get our selves into because the risk is not worth it, i.e. having our money on some shitcoins.

So for us, Bitcoin might not give the huge returns that some altcoin can give, but at least it is solid and then chances that the price will be busted is slim to nil as compare.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 19, 2022, 01:56:50 AM
There was going to be a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Don Moore. That was going to be an exhibition fight in UAE, but it was cancelled due to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away.

There were reports that the fight might push through this weekend:

Quote
Floyd Mayweather will proceed with his Dubai adventure.

Confusion as to when Mayweather’s previously postponed rematch with ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore will resurface appears to have been resolved, with the show back in play for this Saturday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event takes place one week after the planned May 14 show was forced to shut down due to the sudden passing of UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who died at the age of 73 last Friday.

https://www.boxingscene.com/floyd-mayweather-don-moore-back-play-21-dubai--166324

Anyhow, this is obvious money grab for Floyd as he chooses a no name opponent and then fighting in a rich nation like UAE. Perhaps there's some rich Arab behind this fight and more money is being offered to Floyd that's why he chooses to have this kind of exhibition fights.
2510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 19, 2022, 01:10:14 AM
As the saying goes "it takes two to tango", so both is to blame here.

But I heard similar stories in the past though, know the guy personally and then he pulled the same act, scamming his family so that he can continue with his gambling addiction (horse racing and other card games). Nevertheless, he was forgiven by his family and change his attitude for the good. Lesson here is that there is still time to mend things specially our gambling addiction and stop.

Yea well that was dissapointing by Khachanov....onwards to tomorrows quarters I'm
going with two bets on Norrie to beat Baez and de Minaur to reach the semi's beating Watanuki.

I too wand to keep some "powder dry" so to speak for RG.

Khachanov this season is really dissapointing. I was thinking before that he had a lot of potencial and talent to be in top 5 but currently for me he is a top 40 player only and even that barely honestly. Norrie will have a hard time against Baez because he is a clay player but if Norrie does what he does he shouldnt have much problems

True, and that's why I take this bet when I saw what was going on in the first set:

And I agree that Khachanov is like hot and cold in this season, very inconsistent and so it's kinda disappointing if you have bet on him and suddenly seeing his performance against Molcan in the first set.
2512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: May 18, 2022, 03:07:53 AM
To be honest, there is not enough cash inflow in the market and the recent luna disaster wiped out 40B of cash from the entire ecosystem. I am expecting the BTC price to go around 20k or even lower. You will not find any similarities in historical patterns because everyone is analyzing them in different time frames. But one pattern is looking similar and that is after a long bull market, the BTC market stays bearish till the next halving.

Its hard to imagine that we will have long bearish moment until the next halving since for sure if we see dump we also see recovery so maybe the best thing what we can call it is pump and dump scenery. Maybe for now many are scared due to luna incident but I'm sure that they can get over with it and stay intact with other good alternative coins as well with BTC.

Yeah, but we've seen it in the past, 2018 and early part of 2020 was extreme bullish as we have seen the price going down to $3,000 because of covid-19 effect.

And now, the Luna pitfall, so we shouldn't discount the fact that we hasn't seen the bottom price yet for this bearish trend.
2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna Collapse Highlights the Need for An Inflationary Crypto on: May 18, 2022, 01:43:48 AM
And just like what most posters here, we don't need another coin with this nature. For me it's better to protect your assets and wealth in BTC simply as that. And I'm not sure how the coin you are promoting here will solved any problems that was unravel with Luna's debacle.

As for Luna, there could be lots of factors that involves the collapse of this coin. Maybe the people behind are to blame for this.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 18, 2022, 01:10:24 AM
Medvedev was playing Gasquet today and lost in 2 sets, 2-6 and 5-7 in a tie break
at the Geneva Open.

Dissapointing for Medvedev who would have wanted more game time to get up to
speed for Roland Garros next week. It also doesnt bode well for his chances there
especially when Djokovic is in seemingly top form and the threat of Alcaraz and
possibly Tsitsipas. Maybe depending on the draw he can grow into the tournament?

He admitted though after the game that he doesn't feel confident on clay surface. So for sure he will not be one of the favorite come Roland Garros. And he just come from a hernia operation so maybe that's another reason why he is not on top form.

Anyhow, lots of tennis games, maybe will try my luck in ATP Lyon Open. It's already in round of 16 so the game is becoming more interesting to watch.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 18, 2022, 12:31:50 AM
The Bivol - Canelo fight result is something we least expected and we could have it again in this fight, we considered the Bivol Canelo a mismatch but look what happened, Bivol teach Canelo a lesson in boxing, will we see the same scenario here can Romero come out a Bivol like performance I don't rule it out but his team should come out something new for Tank, they all know how Tank works, they should anticipate this.

I'm not sure about the comparison though, Bivol is the champion in the Light Heavy and Canelo is coming up in weight, so I would say that even though he is highly favored in that fight, Bivol should have been given respect as a champion.

But here, Romero hasn't shown us something in the past. I even watch one of his fights and i think he lost that one but the judges gave him the win. So I think Tank will not let someone in Romero's caliber to take that 0 from him.
2516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 17, 2022, 11:13:26 PM
I surely hope so that Donaire have another strategy this time because he should know that getting into a toe-to-toe fight with Inoue is certainly not a good idea at all. I think his only choice is to pull a KO on the early rounds so that his chances to defeat the latter will somehow increase and be smart not to exhaust all stamina and energy he needed in the following rounds of the fight because that is where the monster will go for him just like in the last fight.

Most of us here who followed Donaire already know how lethal that counter left hook of his which I think will still be his weapon of choice, he only needs to land it at the perfect timing and you are right, he needs to watch that gas tank of his so that he still has some left in the championship rounds which is very critical for both fighters as either one of them will go for that knockout.

Right, his left hook will still be his main weapon of choice, in the first fight, he may have landed it and I think this is the punch that cause Inoue's orbital broke to be broken.

But this time, it should land perfectly on the chin and let's see if Inoue's can hold it again. Because I think Donaire has somewhat put a dent already when he injured him just a matter of landing it flush again and maybe we can see him scoring a knock down or even a knock out.
2517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 16, 2022, 12:59:23 AM
Yeah, well. About right that the only bet I've thrown into this Italian tourney is a losing one. All over too quickly, and the Greek gods didn't help Tsitsi, he needed everything against the dominant force in men's now. Oldest man to win Roman, 1001 wins, guy even said he surprised himself haha.

Yeah, Djokovic really got into a great start, Stefanos tries his best in the second set, but Djokovic is too good this day. Well time win for him leading to the Roland Garros.

At least you got the Swiatek expected clean sweep, huh Trofo? 28-win streak but it's all up again with Jabeur as favourite for RG. Ons is at 16/1 though... something in me itching for a bet.

Let's see how this women goes into RG, me thinks as well that Ons might be a good underdog here.  Grin
2518  Economy / Speculation / Re: A crash where Bitcoin wasn't responsible should be treated as such on: May 16, 2022, 12:32:11 AM
The fact that a shitcoin caused a serious crash of Bitcoin price only makes it worse. The narrative is that Bitcoin is a store of value better than gold, a hedge against inflation and declining fiat, but what we see instead is that some scam project managed to wipe 25% of Bitcoin's value. Of course it's temporary and sooner or later Bitcoin will go to the moon again, but the fact that Bitcoin doesn't have stability and resilience is pretty bad.

I agree with the part that this is temporary. Just look at the price today, slowly recovering and seeing $31,000 start of the week. So now we are in a good direction and probably the shitcoin that causes this wipeout can't bounce back again. But Bitcoin? it will, so resilient from this kind of attacks that the effect of the flash crash is for short term only.
2519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you following very basic crypto rules? on: May 15, 2022, 04:29:29 AM
1. Don't invest in crypto if you can't afford the loss.
2. Don't put your eggs in one basket.
Do not invest in pump and dump shit coins

How exactly? Ust was reason for luna's downfall. On its own Luna was/is thriving dapp platform.

Tbh luna was just another pump and dump shitcoin. What unique feature luna had over eth for example? I can't think of any. Then why did it exist in the first place? There are thousands of alts around and only a few of them are unique and decentralized. Monero for example is still the best anonymous coin and every other competitor is just a failure.

I guess no one saw it coming, specially from Luna CEO and founder. But as it fall from grace, now we understand that it is shitcoins anyway and maybe the intention from the very beginning is for pure pump and dump. So no, they can't be compare to ETH and all any other competition right now is just a copy cat version. So we should really be putting money that we can afford to lose as the risk is high for this kind of projects.
2520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fall below $30k on: May 15, 2022, 03:55:36 AM
Seeing the last few days trend, I can say that Bitcoin will struggle in the range of 27-29k USD.
This is just a bearish trend of Bitcoins, soon the resistance will break and again Bitcoins will rise.
...

The Federal Reserve is probably going to do another rate hike in June.
Higher interest rates are bad for crypto - and bad for all other risk assets.

Until the major central banks return to a loose monetary policy we will not see a considerable higher BTC price.
It makes me believe it's really possible for bitcoin to hit 25,000$ and deeper once this happens. On short-medium run the situation looks pretty bad for bitcoin. At same time it's a great opportunity for buying cheaper and to start accumulating some coins, especially for new adopters who were waiting for an affordable price to purchase their first holdings. It's also a good moment for enthusiasts to gift people they want to see adopting bitcoin with some satoshis. Anyway, I don't expect the inflated interest rates policy can last for a long time without harming the economy. Maybe from the next year on bitcoin begins the recovery process without corrections.

Well the FED are doing this to protect their economy,

Possible to hit $25,000 at this point, and the bad thing is that even if we hit that price,  we still don't know if that is the bottom or now. So if it happens that the price still goes down further, it will be really not short short to medium term bearish trend, it might be really for the next two years just like the last bear market we encountered, 2018-2020.
