I am wondering why not a single share holder sued, despite the fact that it was written in their TOS I don't think it is legal.
Probably because they were trading unregulated securities on an unlicensed exchange. Maybe a bit like suing your drug dealer for ripping you off More like reporting your drug dealer for murdering your neighbor. More like reporting your drug dealer for taking out a unofficial life insurance policy from the mob on your neighbor (also his wife) upon hearing the cartel will be murdering her. -Except there's an unlicensed exchange/betting market on her life expectancy, and you bet she would not die for a while, but at a higher price than the going rate prior to her murder, and made a good profit on it, but not as much as your drug dealer due to insider trading. ETA: Run-on sentence fragments ftw!

July? They've been delayed longer than that, almost like the seizure of US bank accounts may've had something to do with it. Just a shot in the dark, here - but maybe US banks don't want to deal with an exchange which's had funds seized, practically declared unlawful in operation, and still not properly licensed/bonded. Non-USD wires don't seem to be affected, though there've been some complaints about delays there, too (unsure if more than usual, though -- I don't pay that much attention).
Don't worry about it, though. I've been assured that Mark's simply had a change of heart, realizing he was previously being greedy with exchange market share to the long-term detriment of Bitcoin. He has set to intentionally sabotage Mt Gox, trying to blame noble lack of regard toward fiduciary duty on incompetency.
Mark recognized exchanges are just as critical to Bitcoin's infrastructure as mining itself. He has thus been trying to decentralize the market, but has since succumbed to alcoholism, realizing all the other exchange operators are as incompetent as himself while self-destructing.
Once the brand is destroyed and a proper exchange oligopoly is established, USD wires will start going out. Set your sights on 2020!
(fun fact: roughly half the subforum's front few pages are threads on the same topic)

Nice can i donate without registering with the site? I watch KA on youtube and I'm not a big fan of signing up with every site i come across. I was surprised by that, too. If you don't have to register, it's not very clear on how to donate without.

Hoorah! I was thinking the joint would lit by the dollar, not that the dollar would be rolled to make the joint. That'd probably taste gross. OTOH, if they're arm-in-arm, Snowden would need to be lighting, with honey badger holding the joint, which might look weird... LS picking the design up?

Awesome! I've been working KA into daughter's homeschool lesson plans for the past couple weeks!
KA content's always very well-explained. Very thorough and time-efficient. Excited there may be even more content added before she starts. Donated!

Yes, of course, no problem with anything related with illustration... but I'd need a description of the image with a more standard lenguage because I'm not a native english talker and it's a bit difficult for me to understand some words and Google translate does not help me with that + with honey badger's arm around Snowden like this: smoking this: with the joint lit like this: Hope that helps!

but this time i don't understand to what is related this growth
Making a move on news just helps non-traders think it's organic. "News," for the most part, is inconsequential, and there's so much news, if you really want an "explanation," you could find just about anything and point to it. The movement itself is the real news, and it doesn't really matter whether or not it was triggered by one guy making a big bet, because now everyone's diverting their attention to Bitcoin trading. Unconfirmed reports of two men spitting fire on Ben Yehuda St. O look, it's a sign from God! It's the apocalypse! Unconfirmed reports of Thailand Central Bank declaring Bitcoin outlawed. O look, it's a sign from Gox! It's the apocalypse!

All-in long on this one. Go yellow!

I think we can connect the second one with a certain social point existing in certain countries. I think it's actually a spoof on a semi-popular piece depicting an octopus or squid (don't remember) in almost exactly the same position, in almost the same style. I'll look it up later when back home. You can bet on that. ETA: I know what I'm thinking of, and sure it exists, but I've gone through a lot of octopus and squid porn, unable to find it. Soz. You seem to be a pretty normal person Nothing wrong with appreciating fine art.

According to the personality test, I'm not supposed to be a libertarian . Maybe I should read some Karl Marx... Then again, Ron Paul ≠ libertarian...Also, for religion, what about Shintoism? If there are a bunch of "Other" responses, I'll modify the list. I generally look for options with a low number of responses, and merge that option with others (or "Other") to make room for responses which are most common in comments, but don't have an option representing them. Won't be until 2014, though... but this is something I have no problem doing for years. It'd be interesting to be able to see cross-sectional data (for instance, occupation and education by personality type), but I'd have to point people to an external survey service, and figure there'd probably be many less responses, where there probably wouldn't even be enough responses to get any kind of confidence in cross-sectional data even without adding that hassle. Ramble, ramble ramble... I'm curious -- which type did it spit out at you?

I thought it was only a few $100k?
Right. A few BTC100k.

Education & Occupation polls now added. Last time you see all the [Demographics Polling] threads popping up all at once for at least a year. ETA: Aside hub, all threads now locked. Voting still permitted, ofc.

Self-Employed(?)
Shit. At one point, I accidentally deleted what I wrote in the thread, and tried to do it again by memory. I'm interested in the sector. I had "artisan" on there, but took it off. I'll add it back in. If "artisan" doesn't fit in, "other." I'll add in an option to change vote for the next day. ETA: Guess I can't add in the ability to re-vote if I've already taken it out. Pff.

Oh, man... small plane pilots are going to be shitting themselves if they have to fly over.

German?
Only went with the top-8 spoken languages (by # of speakers). This left out French, too. If there are enough in the "Other" category, I'll add it in for the 2014-2015 poll.

Keep in mind, results are for BTCTalk.org, not Bitcoiners at large. Please do not misconstrue. Topic hub with all polls -- Please discuss in the hub thread, not on this thread! No comparison graph available for this one. Issue: I work in X sector as an unskilled laborer. Do I mark "X" or unskilled laborer? *Mark "Unskilled labor." Issue: What is the criteria for being "skilled"? *"Skilled" implies the job requires relevant experience for consideration and/or a college/vocational degree. If your job required, say, a commercial driving license - you would be considered skilled. Issue: I am a food artist. *Assuming not sandwich artist, please mark "Food" if food is intended for consumption. If intended as a decoration, please mark "Artisan/crafts." Issue: I am a floor manager for a cold call sales force. *Mark "Retail." Issue: I am a psychologist, certified personal trainer, dietitian, psychiatrist, etc. *Mark "Health." Issue: "Artisan." Explain. *Woodworking, metalcrafting, crocheting, etc. Issue: What the fuck is "Technology?" *Oof. I've written and rewritten this four times. Just use your best judgment, and ask if unsure. Issue: Data-entry or data-processing. Explain. *This includes clerical jobs -- book-keeping, accounting (excl. tax compliance specialists such as CPAs, who go in "Legal"), secretaries (except legal and medical secretaries) Issue: "Vocational" labor. Explain. *Anyone required to be licensed by state, or who had to complete some type of formal training/education to work, but does not need college experience. This includes plumbers, electricians, and some other skilled contractors. Issue: I am Charlie Shrem or someone else with a lot of overlap between categories. *Hmmm.... Use your best judgment. What do you spend the majority of your time doing at work? I can see this one becoming contentious. Lemme know what all's wrong with this. Unless there's an extreme oversight or error, I won't be correcting mistakes until the next poll cycle in 2014.
