as far as profits, mileage may vary. I mined around 20PTS coins over 18 hours... at current exchange rate: 20 * 0.01 = 0.2 BTC or ~ $160 at current exchange rate...
If for $100 credit you mined $160 worth of PTS, why have you stopped!?

Dow will be down, Gold and Silver up a bit, say 25%. Who knows with litecoin but basically will BTC be more than >$1100 next xmas...
Yes.

bitcoin rising to $1000 won't bring down the world system, but hopefully it brings it a bit closer!

PayPal is at 2.9% for us, more for international
Question is whether the btc genie can be fit back into the bottle now, lobbying or not
It hasn't been generally accepted so it could easily be stopped. It can at least be returned to just being used by a small libertarian group again, with a price of around $1.

If there is no rush, then send without any transaction fee. I feel bitcoin wouldn't work for a pay as you read system or alike for online newspapers. The confirmation times are too slow, I want to click and read, it click, wait upto 20minutes them read...

Good work digital, I'd like to offer my services if i can help out with QRK too, though the way the price is moving, I think it might draw people in itself soon enough!

Does sport count as a vice? Otherwise gambling on sport!

Great idea but very difficult to do. I can imagine insurance companies, sports companies and alt coiners all loving it! I thought of something related to a cycling power meter, but it would be easy to fake..

how many people who have bitcoins have so much money that they want to go to space?? Maybe in a few years when 100 bitcoins pays for the whole trip!

few days ago I bought 20 BTC at $800 each, panicked and then sold it around $450.... then realized how stupid that was and bought 20 more at $750
now I can't log in to coinbase
Wow, yes you did goof up! your break even point is going to be pretty high, but fif you learn patience you should be ok with a long buy and hold strategy

why cash out in a psoitive trend? people want to catch the top, or near the top before it falls...

The euro would follow. New currencies based on commodities would be brought in, last for 30 years until someone decides to go fiat, then it starts again!

work it out as a % of your savings

Lets hope so, last time it touched 900 and dived, what will happen this time??

The "non-bitcoin portion of my portfolio" is my ability to earn a living via means that would still exist if Bitcoin goes to zero.
As far as savings goes, I'm only interested in forms that are transportable frictionlessly across international borders. Whatever form I keep my savings in, it should be capable of travelling with me no matter where I choose to live.
People have different subjective valuations for financial security. In my opinion it is entirely astute to have 80% of your net worth in bitcoin, for you it might be 100%. Many find even 5% intolerable. Life brings all kinds of situations where you cannot earn a living and need savings. It is foolhardy to think you are immortal. I agree with this. I guess everyone wishes they had been 100% in BTC this year, but it wasn't without its risks. I prefer 25%, then I won't cry too much if it comes crashing down.

Yeah its seems like interesting times in QRK world! With other CPU miners proving popular, it looks like this one could take off too.
