Thanks Fortune. I have enjoyed being a part of you campaign for the last few months, but am going to head in a different direction now.
My gambling has been going so badly recently that I am quitting, so I would struggle to post 15 times a week in the Gambling section.

I wish you all the best though.

With man city falling to bits, Chelsea have to concentrate on the champions league, the league will probably be gifted to them unless they start playing dreadfully or liverpool win every game left..
1583  Economy / Gambling / Re: From 650 Bitcoins to one: Why you should never gamble on: March 04, 2015, 10:06:10 AM
This isn't really why you should Never gamble, this is why you shouldn't gamble if you have a gambling problem...
1584  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: March 02, 2015, 08:37:51 PM
A few weeks ago, the home of a user named vnnkl was searched by authorities as a result of a purchase he made on Purse 6 months ago. Through an internal investigation, we discovered that the counterparty’s activity originated from a hacked computer of another German resident. To vnnkl, we are truly apologetic and have offered to compensate lawyer fees and any other expenses related to the incident.

I had dealings on purse that I fear will lead to this sort of this thing happening to me, but so far purse don't seem hugely keen to prevent things getting to the authorities, rather they just say that as I am not at fault, I shouldn't worry... Except I'm very worried about the situation, especially as I am also in Germany. I get the impression I will have to bite the bullet and double pay. I'd rather be slightly out of pocket than in court but covered by purse...
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US national "debt" an illusion? on: March 02, 2015, 07:01:37 PM
Money is debt, every country that wants to be rich also needs to have debt, it's just a part of our dreadful system..

In a statement, the Digital Currency Group said, “Although we have been assigned a ticker symbol, no assurances can be given as to when or if such trading will commence, or that an active public secondary market for BIT shares will develop or be maintained.”

Curious to see how this will unfold.

This seems to suggest we are not quite there yet

At last, now let's see how many people actually get involved in the etf and if it affects the price!
$500 would be lovely though!
1587  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in Bitcoin Casinos: What you should know. on: March 02, 2015, 06:54:13 PM

Why should you invest in a Bitcoin casino? Well, because gambling is an incredibly lucrative industry and Bitcoin gambling is a rapidly-growing trade. With over $1 million US dollars being wagered every single day across investor-friendly Bitcoin casinos, investors are making an average of $10,000 profit a day. That's $70,000 a week, or $3,650,000 a year. The better question is why shouldn't you invest, and yeah, there are sadly plenty of reasons not to.

https://thebitcoinstrip.com/blog/investing-in-bitcoin-casinos.html
Why shouldn't you invest? They are largely unregulated and the owner can walk away with your money at will.
If you fully trust a site, then there is little reason not to invest though, as long as the site is sufficiently buffered from big losses from whales.

1589  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Sportsbooks that Offer MLB Spring Training Betting? on: March 02, 2015, 06:48:22 PM
Even though spring training is just about to start up I still don't see any books that offer bets on spring training games, anyone know if there's a site offering them?

Responses welcomed by both gamblers and sportsbooks alike.
Training or Spring League? I think the Training won't be available. But the spring leagues should have the televised games to be on.

1591  Economy / Gambling / Re: $50 to $5000 in 489 winning matches - Journey on: February 27, 2015, 03:12:14 PM
Its not much Just $8 profit....
Profit is profit!  That is 16%, if he keeps getting +16% every week for about 30 weeks he'll reach his target!
1592  Economy / Auctions / Re: Full Member Account - Black Positive Trust - Cheap on: February 27, 2015, 01:51:46 PM
I thought the reason for selling accounts (the given reason anyway) was to join sig campaigns and earn a little every week, making the purchase worthwhile.
As far as I know, sig campaigns don't offer more for people with positive trust, so why do people pay more for positive trust accounts? It sounds a lot like they want to buy it and immediately scam people using their positive trust...

I can't beleive people pay 0.25 for a full member account, how much does a hero account go for?!
1593  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about statistics on: February 27, 2015, 10:57:49 AM
Well lets say i go to a dice site that has no house edge and i start betting on 50%

Now the chances of loosing once are 50% and the chances of loosing twice are 25% and so on. So im betting 1 satoshi per bet and i lose 10 times in a row does that mean that the next bet has more chances of winning than the first bet that i made before the 10th loss?

No, the next bet chances are still 50%. You will either win or loss that bet. I've heard some crazy losing streak on dice site like Primedice, so even though the chances of loss streak are 1 in a trillion, it might still happen.

You say the next bet chances are 50% but then you say they are 1 in a trillion

I mean in a single bet. Even though you have 10 losses before, the chances for the next bet is still 50%.

How can you calculate the chances of 30 lost bets then? If they are always 50%

230 gives you the chances of 30 consecutive losses. So it is 1073741824:1 about a billion to one against.

So it is better to wait to lose 10 times and bet after or it doesnt matter
It absolutely does not matter - the chances of 10 losses in a row are 1024, the chances of 11 losses are 2048.  The chance difference for each roll, in advance of the first roll, is ever increasing, but after the 10th consecutive losing roll the chance of the next is still 21. i.e. 50:50

No but human nature will keep you betting until you win.  That's why casinos show the results of the last spins on Roulette, even though they are utterly pointless.
You have to think logically about it, what about the last spin/roll would affect the next spin/roll... nothing
1597  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Fed delay raising rates as oil collapses towards $20? on: February 27, 2015, 10:43:45 AM
Oil isn't going to $20 (you can quote me on that).  America will keep pumping the old wells but investment has fallen so much already that production is already bound to fall.
People talk abut efficiency savings, that is marginal and overcome by a growth in population.

I expect $100 oil within the next 2 years, it might not stay that high, but I think it will reach that high.
1598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Least volatile week in a year? on: February 27, 2015, 10:33:07 AM
I think this is the least volatile period since the last bubble. Anyone agree?
Then bang! a near 10% move!  I think I prefer volatility in a upward trend to lack of volatility at a crazily low price as it was/is.
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: what just happened .. and why now ? on: February 27, 2015, 10:31:47 AM
A flat market doesn't make anyone any money, the whales want it to move one way or another so they can cash in, this is probably just another example.
At least it is in our direction this time Smiley

Amla, Duplesis, Devilliers , they will make the game untouchable tomorrow... be carefull with the pitch report, and who win toss have the advantage...
They better not do like they did with India. They will have to be carefull with the runouts. They lost their last match because of those runouts.
There is aggressive running, which is good, and stupidity.  I think they push it a bit far sometimes myself.
