US Government Lab Looks to Blockchain for P2P Energyhttps://www.coindesk.com/us-government-lab-blockcypher-tap-blockchain-for-p2p-energy-transactions/Blockchain startup BlockCypher has partnered with a U.S. Department of Energy lab to develop solutions allowing energy transactions to be settled across multiple blockchains.
The energy agency's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and BlockCypher first plan to demonstrate peer-to-peer energy transactions involving distributed energy resources (DER) over the dash cryptocurrency network between two test homes in the NREL's energy facility, said Dylan Cutler, senior engineer for the initiative at NREL. Another major newly emerging peer to peer market is most likely healthcare, which Dash also has plans for through its partnership with BlockCypher.

Hi,
In this precise moment we have an Arctic Coin masternode that costed us about 200 €. We used it as a test before taking more expensive masternodes like Innova or bigger ones. The question is that I don't understand one particular thing...
More coins or more masternodes? Let's say that a masternode of a particular cryptocurrency requires 1000 coins. Now let's suppose that I already own 5000 coins. Should I run 5 masternodes each one with 1000 coins or a single masternode with 5000 coins? Which of the two gives more profit? Is it the same?
Thank you!
Depends if the masternode rewards are per masternode. If it is indeed per masternode (as i suspect), you want to setup up as many masternodes as possible as each additional masternode adds to your total masternode rewards. With Dash you earn like 8,2% annual per masternode, which means you earn 41% annual with 5 masternodes. Setup only one masternode and you only receive 8,2% annual. Also with Dash each masternode needs exactly 1000 Dash, not more and not less .. this could also be the case with the masternode system you have in mind.

For today, Dash is practically the only top-end crypto currency, which is at a good level and does not reduce the price in relation to bitcoin. Perhaps the dash in 2018 will keep its popularity and everything will be one of the best ways to transfer money. Bitcoin has long been unable to cope with this task. Ethereum also became long and with a large commission.
How fast does dash transfer money? How long does it take until a transaction is fully confirmed? The OP says it supports instant transactions, but are all transactions instant, or do you have to pay more to get them confirmed instantly? You can choose, instant is not very cheap but confirms in second (s) and regular is very cheap and confirms a lot faster and easy than bitcoin ever did How many dollars is instant likely to cost at today's dash prices? see : https://www.dashforcenews.com/dash-12-2-update-doubles-block-size-lowers-fees-bitcoins-segwit2x-fails/Regular transaction Fee : 0.00001 Dash InstantSend Fee : 0.0001 Dash Current price of Dash : $760,00 If you send 1 Dash over the network you pay : Regular transaction cost : $0,0076 InstantSend cost : $0,076 This is only if you use the official core wallet, third party wallets may charge different fees. Could someone please verify if all of the above is correct and correct me if necessary. Regular tx fee is per KB and regular txes are usually 0.5 KB IS fee is per input and normally txes have 1-2 inputs. Thank you UdjinM6

Poor iCEBREAKER, three years of trolling this Dash ANN forum and he still sucks at it. Dont worry Icey, we get that it is not the quality of your trolling that counts for you .. its the quantity.
For those interested to see what a legendary troll account exactly looks like, i suggest taking a look at iCEBREAKERS posting history.
Troll accounts like iCEBREAKER are really a very good way of quickly losing any credibility and believeability. In a way it taints that forum account for the rest of that accounts life. Luckily for Icey he has more forum accounts with Dash, a lot more.

hi all. i'm new in Dash ecosystem. Can some one explain me if dash run over an anonymous blockchain??? if i send dash from exchange to another address... all the address will be tracked? thank you.
Dash has optional privacy, which you pay a fee for. This means you can select to use privacy on your transaction by flagging the PrivateSend box option. It does require that you mix some of your funds first with other people, once that is done it will be added to your PrivateSend balance and you can PrivateSend your transaction. The more rounds you mix with other people, the more difficult it will be to trace that transaction. Rounds are from 1-8, i recommend to mix at least 5 rounds. If i remember correctly the PrivateSend fee consists of 0.01 Dash.

Looks like Dash will be the first from the top 15 cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap to bounce back from Bitcoin's crash : Now we just have to see if Bitcoin can keep its price above the $10.000, if it drops below $10.000 it most likely have an impact on the price of altcoins (again) ... depending how much it drops.

I think the dip is great opportunity to buy Bitcoin. I would not sell any alts I have, because all I have now are long term investments. I will buy more Bitcoin, because I don't think the price will fail under 10000$.
In any case, Bitcoin is the best option for investing. You can sell part of Altcoins particle and put this money into Bitcoin. In this way you will have investment both in Altcoin and Bitcoin. Unless you are in an altcoin that gives you profit on top of your current investment (lets say a masternode system), you can then simply save your profits and convert them to FIAT on a later date (when the price of your altcoin is higher). Same goes for serious proof of stake cryptocurrency projects i guess. Anyways, investing in Bitcoin when it is unclear if it reached the bottom yet is not very smart, it could easily fall through the 10K barrier if its market is turning into a longterm bear trend. Worst thing to do at this point is to panic sell, try to have patience and see where the cryptomarkets are moving towards...

Lets not forget to update to v0.12.2.3 Update status for masternodes : Update status for network clients (wallet users, miners etc) :

I still cant believe how we can control icetroll this precisely, we can make him delete his own posts when we want to and we can make him bump our ANN thread when we want to ..... that is real control. Carry on icetroll, go delete and repost your last post again, just remember who is controlling you when you do that

Such a dull icetroll we have in here, only knowing how to delete, copy and paste his own posts.

Definitely not too late. Most exchanges still are not accepting new users, and there is a lot of cash waiting to be deployed on the sidelines. Once the barriers to new accounts are removed, I think we will see a spike like we haven’t seen before.
Why would exchanges be rejecting new customers (more profit on commission fees) for themselves?? :S Because they got overwhelmed in 2017 by new customers, so they put a temporary customer stop on it.

Dash has a circulating supply according coinmarketcap of 7,8 million Dash. From that 7,8 million Dash there is currently 4,6 million Dash in hold status as it is reserved as combined collateral for Dash masternode network.
That is more than half of Dash circulating supply acting as HODLers !! I say some altcoins do have more then enough HODLers, you just have to know them....

Not something else. Dash wants to be a digital currency. A cash system. Monero wants to be a privacy coin. That's a big difference. Dash is not aiming to be a privacy coin. It just offers such a feature as an additon that you can use or not. There is no monero dash fight. That impression comes from the number of people comparing the privacy aspect of both coins creating wrong impression that the two coins play on a same level somehow which they do not. And there are the constant monero trolls resitant we have which like to post monero in dash for eighter their personal relief or for monero advertising. Dash do not care a bit about monero. It is one sided. You should be clear about what you invest in.
Yes I am aware of that, but I am also aware that Dash has effectively a faulty privacy system, yet it's been promoted, at least in the past as a privacy coin. Literally it was named dark-coin in the past. I was pointing out that that is a little bit dishonest, Dash has very weak privacy, and promoting it as a privacy coin is dishonest and misleading potential privacy demanding users. Monero has a central point of failure, which is it's encryption scheme, which might turn out one day to be weak, being deanonymized by QC or a crypto bug. Still, despite that, Monero still has a better privacy, and a lower risk probability. So if you want privacy go to Monero. I just want to make money at this point so I bought both. I think Dash has a great potential to get into the top 5. It will probably be a fight between BCH and DASH. Dash privacy on itself is not weak, nor does it have a faulty system. It does have a somewhat time-consuming process, because it depends on finding people to mix their input amounts with but that does not mean its privacy tech is weak or faulty. This means that Dash had every right to promote itself as a privacy coin in the past and nowadays can promote itself as a platform on which to run several services (including but not limited to : privacy). I suspect your beliefs and your information about Dash privacy tech and how it functions exactly, are somewhat influenced by your Monero invested background. Hell, Monero did not even have a solid and safe privacy tech, untill after their large update somewhere early last year. If any coin should not have been promoting themself as safe and strong privacy coin, its Monero during the first two years. Link : https://www.coindesk.com/monero-link-transactions-debate/

you almost gave me a heart attack qwizzie. ibb.co is a link shortener to http://imgbb.com/I did not know that, thanks. I tried to preview the link in a test reply, but it did not show up as an image for me. That combined with the newbie account status (deleting all your own posts reverts its back to a newbie account apparently) triggered some red flags for me. Good to hear everything is okay with his account and my apologies for my overreacting Edit : also someone in my family clicked on an unsafe link in a received email earlier today and was all in panick about it, so i guess that played a role here for me as well.

newbie account just deleted my old posts. You should know since 2014 Strange, so you delete all your old posts and your very first post today contains a link to a malicious looking website ? If you are indeed Raptor_73, you should know better. What is it that you want Evan to change anyways ? (i'm curious, but not curious enough to click that link)

Do not click on that link !! Newbee account reported to moderator for spreading malicious looking links Edit : there is something weird about that user-account, looks like someone deleted all its posts (joined 2013) and made a 1st post today. Could be a sold / hacked useraccount.
