2521  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2100 TH] CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: April 21, 2015, 11:19:37 PM

This is doable, I'll add it to my list Smiley
Perhaps I'll keep the exclamation mark for rate warnings, but change the block found icon to the bitcoin symbol.

Cool, that would be a better idea even.

... and the name? Smiley
Yes, and the name needs to be Kano ckpool...  Cool
2522  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2100 TH] CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: April 21, 2015, 11:18:28 PM
I noticed a restart today a few hours ago.  I've also notice my miner hash steadily declines over the past about a week, but didn't know if that was pool related or not.
2523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER U3 Discussion and Support Thread on: April 21, 2015, 11:16:40 PM
when I compile cgminer I have two options:

--enable-bmsc           Compile support for BitMain Single Chain
--enable-bitmain        Compile support for BitMain Multi Chain

what is the difference between this?
what to use for multiple antminer U3

I believe the U3 is single chain, someone will confirm.

Had a rough day at work.  Angry

I was finally able to upload the update to the Android Play store tonight. You guys should see it rolling out to your devices/play store in a few hours from now.

CKPool Stats

Future Plans:
  • Add "kano" to pool name  Wink
  • Solo CKPool (ck-'s pool?) capabilities.
  • Code optimizations.
  • Other user requests if any.

This app has really helped my addiction of checking http://kano.is every few minutes to see if a block has been found. Now my phone will tell me if a block is found Cheesy

I have a suggestion.  Currently the app has one notification icon for if the pool found a block and/or if your hash rate drops below the threshold you set:

I suggest keeping that icon for when the pool finds a block, but use a ? version for when your hash rate drops.  It's disappointing to get a notification only to find out it's low hash rate (turned my threshold way, way down, basically an on/off toggle, recent restarts were setting it off left and right).

You guys are too early, it's not 300 blocks yet, still about 60 to go.

I just saw i could rent about 125ghs for around $54 for 4 months not a bad lotto ticket.

You could buy a used S1 for about that and have 200ghs for as long as you want.  I'll sell you one + psu if interested.

The power cost is missing  if he rents power is 0.  If he mines power is ?

Power cost is the main reason for renting my electricity rate is .13 in nj

I'm double that in California, but I enjoy the hardware aspect of mining, too.  (obviously I don't mine for profit)
2531  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER U3 Discussion and Support Thread on: April 21, 2015, 02:36:20 AM
Adjust the difficulty for your pool and you won't get the "shares above target" message.
Wrong advice. That share above target only shows up in debug mode which he's enabled

Ahh yes, you are correct, I was thinking of another mining program I use for my stick miners that doesn't allow you to adjust the diff, and it always submits "above target" for a bit until it settles out.

to see if there's anything wrong (which there doesn't appear to be).

Well I got that part right at least.  Tongue

Guys using pool btc calculator http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php

 i entered 4ths and i got this

Your Average 1diff Shares per Minute:    55,879.3545 shares/min

does that means 4ths power has 55,879 in 47,610,564,513 (current difficutly) chances a minute to find a block of bitcoins?

All shares submitted does is shows the pool you are working to solve the block.  The number submitted has to do with the difficulty you are mining to the pool at.  It has nothing to do with the odds of solving a block.

Yes it does mean that. That's the correlation between diff and shares. Each 1 diff share has 1 in 47billion chance of finding a block.

Ok, I see what you did in the explanation: Each 1 diff share has 1 in [network difficulty] chance of finding a block.  I missed the 1 diff part of the post I replied to.  1 difficulty being the key, because depending what your miner difficulty is in the pool results in how many shares (at that diff) you submit.

Correct?

2535  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Defending against 51% attacks on: April 20, 2015, 10:13:49 PM
The hash power that the network currently has it would be impossible for any singular entity to gain control of 51%.  Could have happened in the early days, but I don't think this is a viable threat any more.

Well he's not going to make his $54 back either way, so better off to own your own hardware.
