2541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 12, 2022, 01:54:25 PM
Here comes with the age issue again, why is it that you're so certain that age is an important factor? I'm not a fan of Donaire but I disagree about it, age will only become a factor if the fighter or boxer isn't active for years or not getting a fight for two years or more.

In the case of Donaire, he already fought twice last year and ended it with a KO and now he's fighting against the Japan's monster Inoue with just 6 months of rest period.

Those people who treat age as a factor for Nonito Donaire are not doing their respective homework and just relying everything on the "name impact" and "age". They are not aware that Donaire even much older compared to Inoue, still has that speed, quickness, and Knock Out power.

The reason is, that Donaire is always active doing his routine operation and always has a match, therefore, training is almost part of his entire life and never stopped. That results in his body not adopting the aging effect.

If Donaire will lose for the 2nd time, it's 100% not because of his age but for other reasons.
What other reasons? Can you elaborate on what would be the other reasons?

Age would really make some toll and its a major factor that could effect overall performance of a fight/athlete which is something inevitable. Its not really a shame if he would really be accepting that reality but as long his

passion and interest on fighting on his career doesnt goes off then lets just respect and its true that he do still have that good punching power, stamina and other aspects.
Its bit exciting that we are closer day by day for this upcoming rematch fight.

Donaire did said that age is just a number after beating then WBC champion Oubaali. But it is a fact that age is a factor. No matter how much you train yourself, you cannot stop the effects of aging when it comes to reflexes, speed, stamina and strength. They slowly start to diminish at 30s. One can simply watch his previous fights since winning his first world title against Vic Darchinyan at flyweight and then later terrorizing divisions up to featherweight. The thing that keeps Donaire a champion is his power, something the bantamweights cannot take.

We seldom see late 30s becoming world champions. And most of them are technical boxers like Floyd Mayweather and BHop. Brawlers, they rely most on strength like Miguel Cotto and Iron Mike will have difficulty when it comes to career longevity.
I somewhat agree with you, specially fighters that has a very quick hand speed, has somewhat will see a downturn when they hit age like 36-40 plus, classic example Roy Jones or Manny Pacquiao. Donaire doesn't have a fast hands, but he rely on his reflexes to counter and maybe as you aged, this might affect you as well.

He has a good reason to stay at bantamweight and continue to win because of his power, however, he can't bring it to the next division. So Donaire knows to protect himself and become the fighter that he is even at his age.
2542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 12, 2022, 01:06:25 PM
Well! that's just how it is if the management doesn't like the result of your hard work and you failed to give them the championship they wanted to further expand their profits from the Lakers merchandise and other stuff. The question is, who will gonna replace Frank after this season? I'm sure it will be a huge challenge for whoever it will be because they will gonna overhaul the entire roosters and they gonna trade Westbrook
Just hours being fired and this article suddenly came out.
https://www.nba.com/news/lakers-part-ways-with-coach-frank-vogel
Quote
Lakers coaching candidates: 25 possible options -- from the obvious to ridiculous -- to replace Frank Vogel
Mike D'Antoni, Quin Snyder, Juwan Howard, Doc Rivers and many more show up on this list
I am a bit sad and relieved about the news. Coach Vogel had been making bad decisions on his rotations especially when their opponents are literally weak teams that should have been an easy win even with his bench players.
There are a lot of rumors going around now. Juwan Howard paired with Rajon Rondo as the coaching Staff and even Nick Nurse's name floated.
If they like run and gun style it surely is Mike D'Antoni and the opposite of him is Quin Snyder but they already tried a defensive coach which is Vogel so I doubt they will do that again.
On the contrary though, coach Vogel tried to be a Mike D'Antoni on Lakers and I don't see him a defensive coach. But good riddance though for Vogel, for sure he will find a new coaching job maybe somewhere else.

It's just the everything was a disaster from the very beginning for the Lakers, compounding by Lebron getting injured and Davis. Hopefully they will have a new team next season and forget about the debacle of Vogel + Westbrook + Carmelo pairing.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 12, 2022, 12:20:21 PM
^^ There will definitely a shift as far as gambling bets on this fight.

So we are not sure if Haney will remain the favorite or Kambosos fans will put huge amount of him to change the odds. Remain to be seen. What's important that this fight will live up to the billing and I can't wait till we see an official face-off because we wanted to see the two talk smack against each other, gonna be fun.
2544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: April 11, 2022, 11:50:24 PM
Bitcoin touched the crucial support of $39200. From that it have bounced reaching close to $40k. Right now it looks like the time to make profit out of scalping. It looks like the market can move downwards/upwards. If downwards below $38k then we can expect the worst scenario of touching $30k and if upwards then we can expect it to reach $50k at the earliest.

For now it looks like $40k to be the major resistance barrier to decide whether the market is on the bullish move or on the bear trend.
The support becomes the resistance now, we thought that $40k is a strong support but it did crumble to the selling pressures.

Hopefully we can go back to the $40k line again, otherwise, if the market didn't hold obviously we might see another downward shift to mid $30k and this is going to be scary and critical again. We've seen lowest low as early as January-February, we might see it again this Apr-May.

I tried to visit the site from your screenshot ape-nft.io but it seems like that address is wrong.
At any point of time you can just dig in to the smart contract to find out which nft is genuine and which is fake.
Just verify and compare it to the original smart contract and you will find out if it's fake or not.

Yes, this is obvious a fake website and the good thing is that you can check if in the smart contract to see if this is fake or not.

Everything here should be taken with a grain of salt, and everyone has the responsibility to verify, verify and verify. I can't stressed that anymore, and if by chance you feel to this scammers, then its your fault for not doing your due diligence.
2546  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Little Surprised! on: April 11, 2022, 10:36:35 PM
And just like that, the support around $40k is broken right now. So we are in the danger zone again and might be back to the lowest low of the year or even dip lower again.

So much for the good news, the selling pressure is now at full swing, everyone wants to get out or at least hedge their bitcoin again so that they won't lose any money during this current down turn that we are experiencing.
2547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 11, 2022, 10:13:36 PM

Dallas (-10.5), and Clippers (-10.5).

Won on the Clippers game but lose to the Dallas game, just 0.5. Sad
So that's the last game of the series, we have 1 day rest then we will proceed to the play-in tournament.

Early betting lines.

Nets -8 against Cavaliers
Clippers +2.5 against Wolves.

That's fine, these last few games were really unpredictable because we cannot be sure if their star players will play or not. But that's so close! Let's try our luck again on the 1st day of the play-in tournament as for sure teams will try hard to compete to have a spot in the playoffs.

I'll follow you on those bets, Nets -8.5 and LA Clippers +3 .. GL!
Seems everyone is really on the Nets to win against the Cavs so I'm also tailing this one. For sure though this is going to be a battle, but the Nets have the home court and then Durant and Irving so the -8.5 is still doable and maybe they can win in double digits.

The odds still very attractive at 1.89. Goodluck to everyone. I might skip the Clippers vs Minnesota game though.
2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 11, 2022, 09:52:43 PM
Finally the match began. It brought lots of excitement to the boxing fan. Now finally up card is over. But GGG did not cease to impress me, I was betting on GGG as well. What a strength  at this age Keep Rocking!
He won, but do you think he can win against a prime Canelo? I doubt it, his win against Murata is not the impressive to me, he was slow, maybe Murata has a good chin, but he didn't knock him out in the early round.

But we will see how he can stand up against Canelo. He will have to win against Bivol first. As I have said, Canelo is still in his prime years and it is going to be difficult to beat him.
2549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 11, 2022, 12:09:18 PM
Now that the regular season is over, I actually got quite excited about the play-in games, especially Nets v Cavs. Nets had big issues and big ups and downs but at the end, they still have two superstars and it can be their time to shine more than ever. Especially Kevin Durant, who is an excellent player and hugely motivated superstar, can do marvellous things in the playoffs. On the other hand, Cavs were much better during the first half of the season. But by the end of the season, they are having serious problems. Even though I personally like the Cavs, I have my doubts about their performances in the play-ins.

They just newly acquire some good players in their team so I guess they struggle on their chemistry but I believe if they can work this things together for sure they can still be dangerous since they have full talents on their rooster. Their coaching staffs should find ways on which of this guys would be a perfect fit on their stars since I guess this will be good for them especially they are placed on crucial situation.
The Cavs was one of the biggest surprises early, and just like the Bulls in the West, they struggled after the All-Star break because of some injuries on their key players. But the Cavs still have a chance though, but it will be a tough one as they will have to go against the Nets. So I wouldn't be surprise if the Nets with their game against the Cavs, because of KD and Irving.
2550  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Little Surprised! on: April 09, 2022, 05:54:12 AM
As much as we think that the war will bring good to the market, because it did initially, I think this is one of the factors why the price continue to do down despite the many positive news that we had right now.

To much uncertainty going around us, investors might be hesitant to invest because of the situation and then we still have the Covid-19 and recently there is a discovery of a new variant.
2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 09, 2022, 05:20:52 AM

That's already a fair cut because the distance between Crawford and Spence is not that big, he should already accept that deal if he was offered by Crawford's team. But it seems to me and probably for others that Spence is still not interested about it because he really looks like that he was avoiding Crawford for some reasons that he himself only knows or was he just trying to hype the fight.

I'm afraid that he will regret this decisions sooner or later because if Ugas will upset Spence, then that idea would become into ash as Ugas will be the one who will fight Crawford now. But if the opposite happens, I bet that Spence will recommend that he needs to get the 60% cut of the purse just for the fight to happen.

If Spence wins and demand or ask for that cut if Crawford's camp is very much willing to fight Spence it won't be a problem, they can accept that just to proceed with the talks, aside from this cut there are still many ways to earn from this possible fight, sponsors and other things behind this sport will be happy to engage.

It's more about what will happen from this upcoming fight. Everything will be discussed again after for now. Let's continue in our opinion

between Ugas and Spence and how we see the fight will end up. Roll Eyes Cool

Well I hope that Crawford's camp will just agree that they will be having just 40% cut from the purse just to make the fight happen in reality, but I still doubt that they will just agree about it easily even if there's still some other ways that they can earn. You know, 10% is already a big money.

I agree, that discussion will come soon if indeed Spence happens to be the winner in this fight. For now, let's talk about Ugas and Spence as this is also an anticipated and interesting fight to see.
Money wise, it's already huge a 10% cut in the purse could mean millions for this boxers. But if Crawford really wanted to see who is the best, then maybe he will go down and accept that split so that they can dance together. And if he believes in his talent then if he wins then definitely he will be now the A-side if Spence wanted a rematch.

But we will have to see Spence performance against Ugas first and definitely he needs to win it. Before we can speculate the possibility of a Spence vs Crawford unification and super fight.
2552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sent coin on wrong blockchain? on: April 08, 2022, 07:02:15 AM
If you sent some coin to Binance exchange with wrong network you can contact Binance costumer service team, they will guide you how to get back your fund but usually you have to pay for Binance team to get back your money, ever I sent wrong coin network from Metamask to Hotbit but I have pay more than $250 to get my coins back but not process it because have lower value from my coins than fee have to pay.

Yes, there are exchanges that are willing to help, but as far as I can remember, way back in 2019, I was also in the same predicament. I contacted the exchange and they said that they are willing as long as the value or the amount is amounting to 1 BTC. So I didn't proceed because obviously the value is less than that amount. So for $500, I don't think that Binance is going to extend their hands here.
2553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 08, 2022, 06:31:45 AM
The Quarter Finals of Houston are set and playing later today are:

Opelka v Brouwer
Mmoh v Kyrgios
Garin v Fritz
Tiafoe v Isner

As I mentioned earlier Kyrgios has a great chance to get to the final, if he wins
his match against Mmoh who I've never heard of he will play either Opelka or
Brouwer. what do you think?

Personally I would like to see him win it, it would give him confirmation that he can
still win a tournament as a singles player and maybe it would change his mindset?
Ok, so it's already the QF now, I think Kyrgios might have an easy path because as you have said, we haven't heard about his opponent Mmoh, so chances are high for him.

The battle between Tiafoe v Isner and Garin v Fritz might be difficult to predict though, I will try to look at the odds later and see if there is some interesting odds to bet in those match.
2554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 08, 2022, 05:51:24 AM

I will agree that smart money should be on Inoue in this match. But stop saying that Donaire has no dedication because he did his time in boxing and has been a multiple champion and accomplished a lot. If he losses then no excuses, but it doesn't mean that he didn't put 100% on training, it is that Inoue might be the best boxer in their division, or at what they say, the best fighter win that night.

I am just going by my own analysis of the probable outcomes and what reasons could be driving those probabilities. I am no statistical data scientist so I am probably way off when it comes to the odds. Its just that Donaire has been giving off an air of retirement/tiredness or something similiar. Maybe its just me that is getting that feeling but if there is one thing that is certain is that odds are in Inoue's favor, no matter how you look at it.

Inoue has proven that he is not a force to be trifled with all throughout his fighting history.

I don't mind being surprised by the opposite
I would agree though, specially when he did try to go up in weight but then brutally knock out by Nicholas Walters, we might see some glimpse that he might be slipping away. And then he had this string of victories after that, maybe against some low level fighters, but when he step up the plates again, he losses to Diego Magdaleno and then to Carl Frampton. But then again, he redeem himself by knocking out two young champions, Oubaali and fellow Pinoy Reymart Gaballo. So maybe Donaire has some still in his tank against Inoue in this fight.
2555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 08, 2022, 05:11:19 AM
Looks like the Lakers released Trevor Ariza today.  I'm not sure why they had such high hopes of him making a difference when it was obvious while he was with the Suns that his career in the NBA should be over.
He has been in the Lakers before, when Kobe was at his prime if I'm not mistaken. So it means that Ariza has been in the NBA for many years and we really don't understand why the management get him when he is injured and not even a contributing player this season.

A lot of talk about what the Lakers are going to do with Russell Westbrook has already started.  They're saying the Lakers may release him and take a 15 million dollar hit to their salary cap for the next 3 years, or they are now discussing a trade with Charlotte where Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier end up on the Lakers...  Not sure if that would be any better, but maybe they could trade them easier than Westbrook.  It would be great if LaMelo wanted to be a Laker and get himself in that trade, but I don't think the Hornets are going to let him go for anything.
Maybe the Lakers are going to offload Westbrook as long as other teams are willing to get him and hopefully this time, the Lakers will get some good players in exchange of Russ.
2556  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: April 07, 2022, 08:44:09 PM
In my opinion, it would be great if Russia adopted bitcoin completely because bitcoin could be a great haven for the Russian central bank avoiding the sanctions imposed by the EU and US because there is no censorship on the bitcoin network and cryptocurrency transactions.
Some may use bitcoin in this way but it does not seems as if this is going to become the official policy from the government, as it seems they are focusing their efforts in protecting the ruble and forcing other countries to use it from now on when they deal with Russia, and at least to me this seems to be a decent measure to counter some of the sanctions against Russia due to the war at Ukraine, however depending on how long the war lasts Russia may reconsider their posture once again as I do not think that sanctions will stop coming their way if the war continues.
Yeah, Russia has nothing to lose but everything to gain if they are going to adopt bitcoin for now. We all know what bitcoin can offer, so to protect their rubble or at least the government hedging everything they have to bitcoin, it will somewhat negate the sanctions against them temporarily. And then the Russia people too, can used bitcoin as well. But I don't think it will last, as soon as the war comes to an end, the Russian government will simply dump their bitcoin very quick.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach its all-time high? on: April 07, 2022, 11:04:23 AM
^^ On the contrary, I thought that April seems to be a bad month for us. Last year it was different as we are in a bull run. But throughout bitcoin's history April is the start of a bearish cycle.

In any case though, let's hope the price will remain in the range of $40k and it will not be similar to the 2018 downturn that we have experienced.
It's tax month, and usually after everything has been settled and there is a refund, for sure some might be willing to reinvest in on bitcoin, as least this is what others have been speculating that's why the month of April seems to be a good month. So maybe in the 3rd-4th week, we will see some signs of a market bounce back to $48k or even $50k.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin whales on: April 07, 2022, 10:01:32 AM
so the question is who are the whales behind the altcoin market development.
Count Vitalik and CZ.

They're part of the whales club for the altcoins.

CZ for BNB and Vitalik for Ethereum.

Honestly, we don't know who actually are the others, and to give that idea, it's mostly the developers of the biggest projects in the altcoins market. You can count them in as whales since they've been holding a lot of their tokens. And the value of it is a lot which makes them considerably as a whale.
Vitalik and CZ both develop a crypto project for the masses, their cases are different from whales that are 100% investors, they contribute and develop something but what about whales that buy a huge amounts of tokens only?.
Yeah, but who knows, they have the influence and can impact the market with their decision and announcement. For me that is a whale already if he can move the market without using any money, but his influence only.

But as far as the whales buying bulk and chunk of altcoins, not sure if they are going to work with one another to affect the market. In my opinion, they are not colluding, but separate individual who decided for themselves only.
2559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 07, 2022, 08:58:28 AM
Let's hope that it's really what is happening, or best if that case is just a rumor to distract Casimero. There are things really that we don't know happening to their personal life, we know Casimero being a trash talking but we didn't know he has a history of sexually harassing women.
It's more a distraction just like what everyone is saying. Couldn't be from the side of Butler but from other people that just want him to bring down.

But just as the others have been saying by being neutral, it could be true as well. As for his side, he wants to get his whole focus to the match and eventually when it's done and he has won, he'll start to fix and manage this issue and hopefully he can speak for himself about it.

For now, let's say, we give Casimero the benefit of the doubt. There are entities that will try to distract any boxers, it's called psyche war, not just in boxing but in all other sports. Sort of mind games you played with your opponent, if he cracks then you win.

However, Casimero is battle tested already, and he shouldn't be bother by all the noises around him and should just focus on the fight itself.
We will see how Casimero will be affected, I mean he jump ship from MP Probellum and then there are some chances in his corner if I'm not mistaken and then the legal battle he has in the Philippines. True, he is battle tested, but this seems to be another battle, it's a psyche and mental. And we don't know how prepared he is. And the we will see if in the actual fight, if Casimero beats Butler convincingly and with another knock out, then obviously is has no effect on him.
2560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 07, 2022, 07:33:13 AM
The Suns emerged victorious from the Lakers game that LeBron James did not play. With 63 wins in 79 matches the Suns broke the organizational record. The Lakers on the other hand have suffered 48 losses in 79 games this season with poor performance. With this result the LA team did not have a chance to Play-in and said goodbye to the season.

The Lakers are honestly so bad this season, it's not funny.

There is a real chance that LeBron/AD leaves this offseason through a trade of sorts. I'm not sure why any other team would take them but they would potentially offer some upside for championship contenders that have the cap space.

Either way, at least the other L.A. team (Clippers) will be making the play-in tournament. Hopefully they can win a few series.
On the contrary, I think Lebron/AD will stay as long as there will be a bug shuffle on the players and even at the coaching staff because this season was really a disaster for them. In the beginning, they are one of the favorites but badluck, injuries and then chemistry issues.

For the other LA team, for sure with Paul George back, they will have a good chance to make it to the playoff again.
