Warriors is tanking faster as I expected. They don't just lose but they got completely destroyed. First New York and now Brooklyn put ridiculously high numbers on their basket. Nets made almost 30 points gap in first quarter. That first half 91 points was the franchise record for Nets. In third period Nets slow down for obvious reasons and Warriors made the gap to just 21 points but it went up again after Patty Mills came in. Morris also scored with high percentage. Durant and other starters rested for last quarter.

Knicks' 8 game winning streak end tonight but Nets have 7 game streak now. Let's see if they can pass this. It might be close for them as well as they will play with Bucks and Cavs back to back. It's hard to recover from that fixture.
It's because Curry has injured himself and team is not the same anymore, at least their second unit, and some of them are playing way below expectations. And then are facing a good team from the East, that's why they are going blown away.

Let's wait till Curry gets back, maybe before the All Star break and turn the team around. Or at least make the play in or play off, otherwise they will be out this season. And then think about it again, just like a couple of season ago wherein they didn't make it to the play off but did became a champion after that.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: December 22, 2022, 02:38:53 PM
Also, I'm just confused with Tank's statement lately because he suddenly throws an issue with no proof that his future foe, Ryan Garcia is taking PEDs.

What's his intention with his statement? I think it boost my confidence in Garcia that he could beat Tank if they will fight. This kind of statement are from fighters who are already making excuses because they believe that they have a chance to lose in the fight, so if in case Davis losses, we already know what's his excuse.

Nothing, it's just hearsay, just like when Manny was accused of taking PEDS as well when he was destroying everyone in his path. There are no proof of it, whether VADA or USADA testing on Ryan. So probably this is just Davis, trying to make Ryan uncomfortable with this kind of attacks because he knows that Ryan has history of mental issues so he is attacking him personally. And maybe he thinks that Ryan will be affected in their fight, lost his motivation with his unbiased accusations.
And on the contrary, it could backfire on Davis himself, because he has no proof except a picture of Ryan in which Garcia was too big. Definitely, it's the off season and boxers too gain some weight when they are not fighting.

What I mean is that if could backfire if Ryan will take this attack and used this as his motivation to beat Tank now.

Yes, it's a mental game and his team should know about this kind of insults will come.
1563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cycles, this is the cyclical minimum on: December 21, 2022, 09:52:05 PM
But we might touch the lowest line at $10k before it's all happen , can you agree with that as well? A great spike required a hard dump and people getting panic with the current sentiment that the bitcoin price by the end of the year to early new year going down to $10k even below that price target. Keep an eye to this situation , we never know.
I agree with you on that, as the final downside leg of BTC is yet to take place IMHO and it might make it fall even below $10k because the bottom has not yet been created, else we'd have seen a strong bounce back from $15500 itself. I strongly believe that a big move will take place during the last week of December or till mid January, be it a shot down or a straight big green candle. Be prepared for the volatility and trade safe.
I do not agree that it could be 10k, that is way too low and there is absolutely nothing realistic about the current bottom as well, it looks like it's already shaky grounds and will probably go higher, which means that lower is even more unlikely. Not many people could see this about bitcoin but it is not naturally growing lower, it is something that makes money only when it goes up, and shorting it is the only way to make money when it goes down, which is limited.

This means that people are aiming at making it go higher if they can, sometimes they can't but that's the goal of more people than keeping it low and that is why it naturally tends to grow bigger overtime, maybe few years but it always reaches higher.
That's pure speculation at this point, probably the legdown could be $13k, $10k? it's going to be the final capitulation if we eventually reach that price.

Nevertheless, it's hard to predict where the price will be $15k is already low for this bear market, but who can forget $3,200 around the initial scare during March 2020 that put the market to it's knees? So who knows, maybe history will repeat itself again and see the market going down hard this bear market.

But in exchange, the market will thrive in the next bull run, $100k could be just the tip and it could go very high for a next ATH.

The user decided to change #USDT worth $2,932,345 to #USDC on the Changelly service.

Read the story and see how it ends. She hasn't finished yet.
If you need to change tokens, then use decentralized services and do not send large amounts at a time.I used Changelly but my maximum amount was no more than $1,000.
Haven't read the story yet, but as per my experienced, yeah I don't do one big amount, I just try to test small amounts only because there could be problems that could arise with that huge amount and who knows, maybe the 3rd party will hold off your crypto (and I"m assuming that this might be the case on that user).

I also used changelly before, but If I'm not mistaken, there are a lot of complains as well before, that's why I stop using their services. Plus I have found ways to easily change my crypto to my local fiat actually. Anyhow, this is another lessons to be learned again in this market. Having that huge amount will definitely attract attention.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: December 21, 2022, 09:01:25 PM
^^ I speculate that they could have been a rivalry between the two, Usyk is just one weight class above Beterviev and possible that they could be talks for them to fight. But we all know that Usyk when as high as HW win the belts against AJ and the rest is history.

And I think Usyk though can still drop to CW and then Beterview can go as high as that weight so maybe a superfight is also possible in the future between the two.

I don't think that a fight between Beterbiev and Usyk will happen because of money issue, i mean the big money fights is at the heavyweight division which Usyk is now comfortably fighting and a champion on that division. Beterbiev vs Usyk will only happen if there is someone who will promote/sponsor the fight and sell it as a resemblance of a war between Ukraine and Russia but i don't think that many fight fans would but to that idea.
And who do you think that Usyk will fight in the heavyweight next after Tyson? That is the only money fight for him in the heavyweight. Yeah, it could be Deontay Wilder or Andy Ruiz but I do agree that they could sell even bigger when they used the Ukraine vs Russia storyboard for him, so let's see.

I recently check my favorite sportsbookies and we are right all along, Yarde is 5:1 underdog in this fight.

Everyone expects that Beterviev will ran over him and score another great knockout.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 21, 2022, 02:26:40 PM
Dallas Mavericks, for instance, I don't think they won't be able to play in the playoffs.

We can have a better preview of what teams might enter the playoffs once the All-Star break commences. It's roughly about over a month and a half to go and team standings might show big changes, especially in the Western Conference where the competition is really tough.

Referring to the Dallas Mavericks specifically, there are games where I am really upset about their performance but still, I believed they will able to enter the playoffs. Although I'm expecting them to compete in a play-in tournament.
I thought that the acquisition of Christian Wood will make the Mavericks better than last season, but I guess I was wrong.

The Mavericks are better last season because their offense was distributed. They have more options to score. Now, most of the points are coming from Luka. I watched a video on Youtube yesterday and it shows that when Luka is off the court, they are -12 on points. Just look at how much points Luka is putting per game. 32 PPG and this just shows that he is doing most of the offense. Wood and Dinwiddie who are we expecting to help him only averages at around 16 and 17PPG.

Without an all-star beside Luka, he will never win a title. That's how NBA is right now. In order for a team to win, you need to have at least 2 all star player on the team. You expect them to be in the play-in tournament. I believe they might make a roster change or make some trades this season, and maybe that might change the tempo of the team. I expect them to be at the 5-8th spot. Slightly higher than your prediction.

Same here. I also thought bringing Christian Wood would fill the much-needed points by the Mavs. Wood showed potential in Houston and many fans are also expecting him to become the new Porzingis. Although I am still not giving up on him.

Personally, I do not like Kemba Walker as well. The guy is a veteran but the Mavs need someone that experienced in important games like the playoffs. The Mavs should make an aggressive move before the trade deadline. The Utah Jazz for example has good players available since the team is just busy collecting top first-round drafts and is also eyeing on the Wembanyama lottery.
Kemba Walker is already past his prime, or not the same player prior to him being traded to the Celtics. Because after he moved to the Celtics, he also got injured and become a liability.

Not sure what happen to Christian Wood as a Maverick, when he was in Houston, I would say that he was the first offense for them and we wonder why he was traded.

Maybe this is what the Houston team see in Wood, I mean he is good but not good enough to be an elite player, just saying.

I guess just like the rest of us who criticized the ETH moved from POW->POS.

It means that integrity of the network could be controlled by few, hence it's going to be centralized. And we don't like this and probably what the CEO of Paxful as well for delisting ETH.

Or it could that the CEO of Paxful has issues with CZ that we don't know of, so even if there is revenue as he said, it doesn't matter for him.

Some people who are part of Bitcoin still don't believe in the four year cycle, foolish for them.

I think it has been a good model but really..  Careful now.  The '4 year cycle' will keep on working until it doesn't.  Don't use it as a crutch and be ready to adapt at any possible moment.

It could be just like the rainbow chart.  In case you didn't know, have you guys seen what happened to the rainbow chart?  Yeah, apparently there's another version now because the first one stopped working.  Cheesy
Probably, but you have to still think though that we have the bitcoin block halving that occur every 4 years. And we have seen it as the catalyst for a eventual bull run. So for me the 4 year cycle will not work if we that bitcoin block halving will stop working as well as the start of the push to a new all time high.

And we all know that the block halving is designed by Satoshi to happen every 4 years, just saying.

1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 20, 2022, 05:47:11 PM
I might find that an excuse, uncovering your fighting strategy, is not a good reason, though he might be exposed if he will fight Gesta, but it is
his obligation since he signs the contract.

Since Garcia had signed the contract will the boxing commission sanction Garcia?  I wonder how much money will Garcia need to pay for the penalty if he failed to show in the signed contract fight against Festa.

About the reason of being exposed, I think that is a good reason if he is able to surprise Davis and win the fight.  But if not then it is just a waste.

Still no update about the situation with the upcoming fight between Gesta and Garcia, only the statement of Garcia that spread around
the social channels that he's no longer interested in fighting Gesta.

Gesta's camp is still quiet I wonder what is Gesta's camp thinking right now.  The fight against Ryan Garcia as stated in the earlier reply is one of the biggest fight of Gesta and possible the one that can boost Gesta's career if he happen to win the fight.  I hope the boxing authority will push the fight since it was already signed.

Absolutely sure if that fight will happen Gesta vs Garcia then Gesta will take this as his advantage it because his name will became a popular once that fight will happen and it will boost his career as we all know who is Garcia he is one of the best fighter in boxing so without a doubt Gesta will became very known in many country and more known if he will win against Garcia. But for now maybe gesta and his team still thinking because they are very quite.
Gesta team are quite because they didn't expect that suddenly Garcia is not going to push through with this fight. Gesta has the perfect opportunity again to become popular if he somehow upsets Ryan Garcia here, but not going to happen anymore. And Gesta cannot do anything about Ryan's decision because he don't have control of the fight, as he is not the one who dictate it, he is just a b-side fighter here. Ryan though will have a 8 month break, so it's about him getting active and not let ring rust takes over him when he will fight Davis next year.

....
Can Jordan Poole repeat what he did against the Raptors or will this just be another game to give up without Steph Curry around?
I want to see a new face stepping up his game, maybe Moody, Lamb, or Kuminga. Just to fill the missing piece while their injured players are resting.
Jordan Poole is very talented but Curry is a legend who can do it night in and night out.  It takes years to get to that level.
40+ night in and night out is tough to pull off even with the likes of Curry or any other legends. Jordan Poole is already doing 20 to 30 a night and has been consistent with that range lately.
Quote
It's one thing to be the 3rd option and get your shots in but when teams are game planning for you it's a whole different level which is why you need the superstar guys who can do it when other teams game plan to stop them.
Right but we already know the GSW system doesn't just rely on too many ISO plays. They are pretty good at ball distribution and setting up screens which allows many opportunities for open shots so any defensive plays aimed at stopping just one player like Poole isn't really going to work long-term.

That's right, you're not wrong at all. As long as a player can successfully take responsibility for himself in the absence of Stephen Curry, then I do not think there is a problem so long as he is able to do so successfully. In fact, I am looking forward to seeing the Warriors play their next game. Specifically, I would like to see if Poole can actually perform as well as he did in the last game or if someone else needs to take on that responsibility.
as long as Klay stays healthy they will be fine.  with him in the lineup they can't just key on Poole.   However the Knicks are no longer the win you can just mark off.  I know the Lakers now kicking themselves for letting Julius Randle go he has been a a monster lately.  I actually think had the lakers kept that core group they would have a better record than they do now.
Of course everyone needs to be healthy, but he also has to contribute more since Steph is sideline. And you said rely to Poole only? he needs to put up numbers that he should be putting not just like 18 ppg, he needs to produce more as the second offensive option for the Warriors.

I also disagree that the Lakers are kicking themselves of letting Julius Randle go because at that time they really don't know how he will blossom. Same with Jordan Clarkson and Ball and others that they traded to get Lebron. On the handed, it's a win for them as they were able to win a ring with Lebron.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 19, 2022, 09:15:59 PM
.....
I wish we will see that kind of consistency from Poole, honestly, I didn't expect them to win because of their bad performance in their previous game, but it was so surprising that they not only beat the Raptors, but they also dominated them. Poole is just inconsistent, that's why it's hard to trust the Warriors, it's good to trust them if they are a heavy underdog just like their game against the Raps.
What kind of consistency are you looking for? Like 40+ a game? There's only a handful of players who can do that hehe. He seems the type of player that excels when he's given more chance or time with the ball so it's up to the coach to take advantage of that. Hard to come up with big numbers when he's not the main guy task with most of the scoring.

Poole has been pretty decent this month actually.

Poole has certainly carried the Warriors in this match. We thought that the Warriors were going to face a lot of difficulties because they do not have the usual carrier Stephen Curry. But that was not the case. Poole played really well and didn’t let anyone feel the absence of Stephen Curry. He scored 43 very significant points for the Warriors.

Surely, this was going to be a tough road for the Warriors, the road to the playoffs. But if the other players can play like this, there should be no problem for them, even without Stephen Curry.
I still think though that Klay should be the one to carry the team without Steph, but they got lucky on Poole, give them the max contract and now it's paying off has had showed that he can help this team without their number 1 scorer.

Maybe in their next games, it will be Klay and then someone who had a break out game for their young core, like Moody and Kuminga and Wiseman because they are highly touted when they come into the NBA. And will be the next face of Warriors, if they can't proved themselves, then maybe they might find a new team next season.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 19, 2022, 08:29:57 PM
With this upcoming fight of Davis, Garcia will see how prepared Davis is for their fight.
Garcia already ditched his supposedly fight with Gesta this coming month to focus on Davis.
Is it a good decision for Garcia or not? We will see if this will help when he faces with Davis.
He has a long break now from the boxing ring, so hopefully his decision is right.
If Davis will win on his upcoming fight, I believe, Garcia will be the underdog in their fight.

IMO it was a bad decision to cancel his tune-up fight with Mercito Gesta. It could be that the proposed fight schedule with Tank isn't giving Kingry enough time to recover if ever the Gesta fight turns difficult. But Kingry could've easily moved his fight with Tank by a month or 2. Kingry will be nearly a year inactive when he faces Tank. He cannot overtrain either so the focus thing is just bs. He is just lazy and is only looking for the big money, he seems ready to cash out in boxing. His former coach Eddie Reynoso and former stablemate Canelo Alvarez were right, he is slacking and is losing his motivation and dedication to establish his own legacy. His fight with Tank Davis is not even a championship fight.
Probably mate, but his sole focus right now is Tank Davis and maybe he doesn't want to get into this kind of tune up fight, just light training before the last 8-12 of full beast mode training in preparation for Tank.

Definitely, everyone is looking for big money right now, but still they need to go about hard training first before they can get that huge paycheck.

For his own legacy, this could be the make or break for Ryan Garcia's career.

I just like how the OP started this thread before there was a huge FUD on Binance and it's BNB.

Because there have been reports that they don't have funds to back it up, but CZ reassure his clients that they have the money, but the withdrawals has taken place already. And he said that the billions of dollars of withdrawals is not the biggest for them since existence.

So yeah, I think this is just pure FUD but the damage has been done to the market already.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 17, 2022, 07:26:50 AM
Oh good, I do hope that it won't backfire on Ryan because if the fight happens in April-May, he will have like 9 months ++ inactivity while Davis is going to be fresh because he has a fight with another Garcia.

I see some comments though in that twitter post, Lol, so much hate for Ryan saying that Davis fighting Hector Garcia is not a tune up fight because Hector is a tough opponent. Nevertheless why not fight Ryan in February or March instead of giving Hector Garcia a fight?
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 17, 2022, 07:04:18 AM
Rollbit on top of the list, complete casino for me, not just that I promoted it, but I enjoy the game that the listed, plus no problem with withdrawals.

Then from time to time I bet on sports, so Stake and Sportsbet for me. What I like about Stake though is that they have live stream games like NBA. But as far as the odds goes, they are just almost the same. It's that Stake charges for a fee when you withdraw while Sportsbet cover it, just one pros/cons of this two sport betting platform.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: December 17, 2022, 06:50:14 AM
^^ And that is very tricky indeed, if David Benavidez says no, then he will be blame for everything, for the fight not pushing that's for sure. But then again, if they gave in to the demand of Plant, then it's a big psychological win for Team Caleb Plant and will definitely take control of the fight or even the lion share of the purse.

Very difficult now on the part of Benavidez, but I'm thinking that they will make a counter offer as per the article. That's how negotiation should be, other party should compromise as well and not just one side process.

Yeah, Benavidez' camp will negotiate and will provide their counter offer, it's also their right to counter whatever Plant's camp thinks
is good for them, since a two-way negotiations.
They will have to negotiate and make counter offer and not allow the camp of Plant to have the control of everything here. Otherwise they will definitely getting the short end of the bargain, not just in terms of money, but the ring and maybe the gloves and it will all point to Caleb having the upper hand.

Both camps need to adjust and accept or meet in the middle to push this fight, otherwise it would be a biased one and for sure
both camps are after with the money.

Both sides need to have a decent and acceptable share before they will sit and sign the contracts.
That's what is it to expected, Benavidez is no push over and for us he has the higher chance of winning this fight. So take everything from the negotiation table to the actual fight itself and show Caleb what Benavidez is capable of.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 17, 2022, 06:34:12 AM
I actually think they will be fine without steph.  Think they will gel as a team and Poole will step up.  Gonna take the Poole over in points props most games.  He is going to get a ton of shots and defenses will focus on klay.

The Golden State Warriors should try to fill Steph Curry's 30 PPG and take note that it's always a consistent performance for him.

It's also worth noting that even though Curry does some monster stats per game, the Warriors sometimes still lose.

Let's see the adjustment of their players, especially those who enjoy and signed a big contract with the team during the off-season. Smiley
They started with a wrong foot, although Poole scored 29 points, but they are facing a solid team with a MVP candidate in Joel Embiid so it's hard to defeat them even if Curry could be present in the lineup just saying.

How about Magic though, they beat the best team in the East, the Boston Celtics at their own homecourt and they are now on a 5 game winning streak?

Bol Bol though scored 4 points, but they have a balance scoring lead by rookie Banchero and Wagner.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 17, 2022, 06:19:23 AM
As reported his next fight will be against his former sparring partner Jaber Zayani and it will be held in Saudi Arabia.

Quote
MANILA, Philippines—Manny Pacquiao is set for another exhibition fight this time, against his former sparring mate Jaber Zayani in Saudi Arabia next year.

https://sports.inquirer.net/477665/manny-pacquiao-set-for-saudi-exhibition-next-year

So whether we like it or not, Manny will continue this kind of match, not sure though if the next fight will be for the charity again or he will get the full money. In any case, he has been helping many of his countryman specially this Christmas when he comes back to the Philippines after his fight with DK.
It's just going to be a few months away. I think there's no charity involved in this but I'm sure with what he said, whether it's said or not that this exhibition match is for charity.
He's always too generous to give a portion of it to his townsmen, he's got a lot of houses built already out of his pocket and he said that he's not going to stop but will continue this that he has started.
So this becomes the trend now, on which retired boxers are making and deal off with exhibition matches? Some might not really be that caring at all because its peoples choice whether they would watch and support

it or would be just totally be saying "meh" into their minds. As for fan of Pacquiao then you would be liking him to see up in the ring but since he's fighting off on something which isnt really in his level
then you could already expect on what would be the result and that what makes these fights arent interesting anymore.

Charitable actions or something like are very common but what i do matter most is that i should really be at least entertained if i do see a fight or match.
Obviously it is right now, not just retired boxers, but MMA/UFC or any other sport want to get their hands on this so called exhibition match for money and get that adrenaline pumping again. So it's a win-win, at least even if they are retired, they can continue to bring money inside. Because maybe there are sports personalities who for unknown reasons didn't save enough when they are still active and may financial problems.

And the pandemic really bring this exhibition matches and up to this day, going to continue.

The Paul Brothers and Floyd are making a killing about this game now.

Bear market is still on but it will soon turn to bull market any moment from now, because the green light is preparing to remain stable in this month of celebration so that investors will have something reasonable to earn to use to celebrate Christmas and new year. Keep holding and watch because anything can still happen to market any moment from this week, for the price of Bitcoin and altcoins to rise higher in a level people will begin to release their coins for sale.
It won't sad to say and sorry to burst the bubble for you. It's not that easy to suddenly flip the switch and then we are in a bull run. Doesn't work in this market, crypto has cycles, every 4 years we see that one bull run that will push the price to all time high.

But we are not there yet, we are still so much in the bear market till next year that we might not see the price going up in the next week or even next year.

We just had some bounce to $18k but it was not sustainable as it goes down again.
