2541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future? on: May 04, 2017, 05:57:11 PM
I think that bitcoin has a chance for being the future currency of the world because of the price movement and it is more like to go up even farther and if the price reach at least 5,000 then countries will try to use it and bitcoin will become the future currency of the world.
2542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: May 04, 2017, 04:39:37 PM
I don't think there is a lot of difference between bitcoin and real money because bitcoin is just volatile to its price and the real money is just like stable and have a fixed face value. We don't need to compare them because they are both kind of money.
2543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Miners or others stealing our bitcoin? on: May 04, 2017, 03:40:02 PM
I sent some Bitcoin to my Payza account and payza said they received the transaction and waiting for it to confirm. It was sitting unconfirmed in my Payza account and in my blockchain dot info address for over 24 hours. I logged in this afternoon and found that the transaciton has totlaly disappeared from my blockchain account and it is is showing this:

https://blockchain.info/tx/50bf070386b69f24812744f0ac333c45666afc65fe6559b44915836b7401a874

The funds are not in my payza as it is still showing pending and nothing is showing in blockchain dot info at all.
It says was rejected and pruned so who has my bitcoin? Where has it gone?

https://blockchain.info/tx/50bf070386b69f24812744f0ac333c45666afc65fe6559b44915836b7401a874
Are pools stealing our money?  Cry
No they don't steal your money, i think if blockchain says it is rejected, it will automatically go back to the wallet that you are using and you can resend your transaction but don't forget to put a fair amount of fees in order to complete the transaction because sometimes the fee is the always concern for the scenarios like that.
2544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: end of ETH mining on 2G cards on: April 22, 2017, 04:41:33 PM
I suspect it will become a real issue in a few months or so - and a lot of lower-end cards will move into ZEC or XMR or something where it's not an issue.

It's weeks, not months.

As I posted that in november, and some of my 2 GB cards were still mining ETH into March, it was months - for those cards.

Other cards turned out to be more like weeks.

TheRider - the "in a rig with more than 2GB card" trick doesn't work any more, the actual DAG file now exceeds 2 GB.
I had another GTX 950 mining eth in a rig with a pair of GTX 1070 (I don't think the 1070 comes in a version other than 8 GB - even the Gigabyte ITX version is an 8 GB card) - and it went "no more" a couple weeks or so back, probably at the same epoch as the triple-9xx rig packed it in on ETH.

Even though you can mine with them, the speed is much slower.
2545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.0 (Windows/Linux) on: March 03, 2017, 07:37:30 AM
OpenCL error -38 - cannot write buffer for DAG GPU0 WATCHDOG: GPU error, you need to restart miner!!! R9 380 1 card . Please help

IF IT IS A 2GB CARD, IT WON'T WORK--

The Ethereum DAG file is now too large for 2GB cards.  You will have to switch to an Ethereum clone-coin that is at a lower epoch if you wish to mine Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm.       --scryptr

380 is good for XMR mining too.
2546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v8.0 (Windows/Linux) on: February 26, 2017, 05:56:35 AM
whats the eth mining speed for 8.0? any improvement so far?

No imporvement. It is already very fast.
2547  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin Costs 2000$ on: February 23, 2017, 07:12:45 AM
I want to believe that 1 Bitcoin will reach $2000 this year.  More probably at the end of 2017.  There are more people who are coming and joining the bitcoin economy.  The ETF will boost this and whether it is approved or not, it is irrelevant because Bitcoin certainly will reach $2000 in due time.

That could be in the third quarter of 2017.
2548  Economy / Speculation / Re: That's time that's sure : we are in a pump on: January 06, 2017, 10:14:04 AM
And down we go. See you at low $800s high $700s.

Really?

It will go low at around 850/800$ and shot up again above ATH for good and never come back to 1000$ ever.

It could go above $1200 in a few months.
2549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: end of ETH mining on 2G cards on: December 22, 2016, 04:21:51 PM
ZEC has basically been a "basket" coin for 2-3 weeks now - profitability close to ETH/ETC/XMR and generally shifts to even it out when any of the profitability parameters change as folks bounce hashpower around chasing the highest profit.

It's enough different from the other coins in the "basket" that you have to check on a card model basis though - my GTX 1070 RX 470 and R9 280x cards are currently quite a bit more profitable on it than on ETH, while the R9 290 cards have been enough of a tossup that I never bothered putting the time in to install Windows on those machines just to mine ZEC on them.

Keep in mind that electric costs can affect profitability, as various combinations of miner card coin and tweaking can give different power draws.
You have to crunch YOUR numbers with YOUR setup(s) not just assume that "one set of numbers fit all".

GPU count in mining I'm quite certain started a large rise when the major ETH price rise turned it seriously profitable - but I suspect that folks are starting to have second thoughts about adding more cards/rigs as the profitability on ALL of the "basket" coins has dropped, between price drops and rising difficulty due to more hashrate being added.

I think the profitability is acutally low than ETH.
2550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: end of ETH mining on 2G cards on: December 19, 2016, 04:51:45 PM
I bought the 2gb cards because back in February who knew it would remain profitable this long. And the 4gb were mostly overpriced.

Same here. Now my farm is mostly made up of 2GB cards, I have one rig still hashing ETH and the rest on ZCash. Hopefully it stays profitable for awhile yet... I planned to be upgrading my cards/adding more this spring when people sell off gear after winter is over and when the new AMD cards come out.. Should be plenty of options on hardware, as long as there is a coin to mine at the time.

Is that still profitable now?

You can use the 2GB cards for the ZCash mining. It will be mineable for very long term. You will get ROI.
2552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: October 28, 2016, 11:18:34 AM
I am proud to say that I am one of the investors who booked profit when the price touched $400, and now I am looking forward to make another great profit and patiently waiting for the price to hit like $1,000, if that will not be realize this year, I am very positive it will happen early next year.

I think the price of the bitcoin will touch $1200 this time next year. So it is better to hold the coin for longer term.

That could happen. The price of bitcoin has already rise 4% in the last 5 days. I think the rise will continue.
2553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: October 21, 2016, 12:23:17 PM
i am afraid when btc touched $400 i am not make much profit, but only small-middle amount and i think its enough for me for right now. but i hope in future i will make more profit when the rate is really up to $6500-$700.

At least you made a profit, I left BTC when it touches sub 300, then just came  back recently.  So i don't booked a profit  when btc touched 400usd.  But at this point i can say i am able to get profit from day trading bitcoin and altcoins.  Though i hope  that someday i can book a profit just like the earrly adopters of bitcoin.
Maybe I am too late to buy cheap bitcoin fellas, I bought it over $500 so basically I am already in profit now if I will sell my bitcoins, but I would not do it too early because I believe I can still see a better price than the current before the end of this year. Maybe if it reaches $1,000, I will be tempted to sell.

It is better not to sell the bitcoin at present. The bitcoin price will rise a lot when more people start using it.
If you can still live better waiting for your investment longer then the better because I can see a great opportunity when you are holding your bitcoins in a longer period of time rather selling directly when you see a little price increase, remember that the key to success is always patience.

That is right. If you bought the bitcoin 4 years ago, and hold until now. It has risen over 40 times.

For the bitcoin investment, it is very important to hold the bitcoin tightly. Only sell when there is a big price bubble.

I have booked profit from when it was 400$ but i know people that have made profit from when it was 20$ each!
We missed the golden age where it was easy to make tons of money if you invested some money into bitcoin sadly enough.

The golden age was before 2013. But during that time, the bitcoin was in early stages. There were more risky.
2556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: September 12, 2016, 06:53:43 AM
When i joined bitcoin world the price was nearly 200$ of worth but unfortunately i had no money for buying it nor i knew anything about growing or something but i just wanted to earn with faucets where i almost wasted a lot of my time...
I think it is not that we do not have the money, if we are really interested to buy bitcoin we can find a way to have money and buy bitcoins, we have a similar experience and I really do not believe the price will increase before until now that I have read the necessary information that has convince me that the price will increase.

I also think the bitcoin has some value in it. So I bought some in 2015. And I still hold them to wait for the price rise.
That is a good value already and if you sell it now you will be at more profit, however holding it will give you more opportunity to earn because the price that we are seeing now is not at its peak and we can still see more increase in the future and possibly earn more money if we sell at a good price, right now, do invest and add more to earn more.

I am aiming for much larger profit. I bought some in August last year, the price has risen a lot. But I will not sell that.
2557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: August 26, 2016, 05:16:52 PM
I sold my bitcoins when they were 460$ at that time, so i got even more profit before crash Smiley

I bought some bitcoin at $500 a few weeks ago. I have made some profits. But I will not take the profit. I will hold them for the long term.

I did the same. I keep on buying the bitcoin when there is a price dip in the last two years, it seems it is a good strategy.

The bitcoin price has risen about 20 dollars in the last few days.

So it was quite good to buy a few days ago. It is better to hold them for long.

The price of bitcoin dropped again to $570. I think it will be fluctuating around the current level for some time.
2558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: August 09, 2016, 10:49:36 AM
Bitcoin will never be accepted as a "real" currency if it continues to fluctuate like it has in the past. Nobody wants to buy $600 worth of currency only to have it drop the next day to $480.

In my opinion, there are a select few people making HUGE money manipulating the market. There should be no reason Bitcoin rises and falls $100's (Sometimes over 100%) in such a short time.

That is true. But when the bitcoin is used more, the market cap will be high, it is more difficult to manipulate.
2559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: July 26, 2016, 08:10:03 PM
I think the bitcoin price will stay at the $650 level for two more months. Then it will rise to $800 to 900.

That could happen. I think the bitcoin whales are waiting for new release of the software before pushing the price higher.

I think the bitcoin whales are buying the Ethereum now, especially the ETC. The price has risen a lot today.
2560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: July 12, 2016, 08:12:49 AM
Wow,i got here for the first time,it's strange because this thread is really old.
But back then yes,i actually earn pretty much for me in that time,i had 0,5 btc bought for about 260$ and i forgot about it and it was wow,i just earned 70$!

The price is $630 at the moment, for each bitcoin, you earn 370 dollars. So for the 0.5 bitcoin, you earn 185.

I think it is better to hold the bitcoin for the long term. The price will rise again in the next few months.
