1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers needs to control their emotion! on: June 12, 2019, 07:49:53 PM
Self control is the key to avoid this type of incidents. He became greedy after a big win of $60k and wanted to earn more but he lost the money instead, he tried to gamble again to win what was lost but wasn't successful, even to his death he had not recovered the money he lost. This story should serve as an eye opener to gamblers for them to realize that greed is very difficult if not controlled and if you will let greed take over then it might cost your life.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is blockchain gambling business beneficial? on: June 12, 2019, 05:57:56 PM
Any Gambling business, when done correctly is beneficial whether it is done on Blockchain or not. Is Blockchain changing the gambling industry? that should be your question. Yes, it is earlier gaming results, winnings and payout were intentionally hidden or were partly concealed from the public. The integration of Blockchain into the Gambling industry will resolve these concerns and many other problems that the online gambling community has been facing.

I agree, any business if done and managed correctly will be beneficial and profitable to the owners. Blockchain gambling would be a good business right now since a lot has been adopting cryptocurrency and there's a possibility that it will increase in the future so it would be very beneficial.
1663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Number One Reason NOT to invest in Crypto on: June 12, 2019, 03:34:57 PM
cryptocurrency was developed bcz the current banking system was not preferred by everyone.and before investing your money in crypto's you should learn basic thing about crypto. always protect your private key or seed and keep them in offline sources.digital world is pron to hacking activity thats why always proctect your password or passphrase.

Exactly, yes it is true that digital world is prone to hacking activity but you being the owner of your coins is responsible in safeguarding your keys to make sure no one can get hold of it because if scammers can get hold of your keys then nothing can be done. The current crypto system has its share of flaws because nothing is perfect but it's also being improved so we can expect better in the future.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling vs. "leveraged" trading on: June 12, 2019, 11:33:40 AM
Both gambling and leverage trading can be a good source to get high profits depending to what extent of leverage a trader will put in his trade however, gambling and leverage trading can't be a comparison to each other because they are two different things. Gambling is when you bet on something and it is mostly pure luck because no strategy can be used to guarantee your winning unless if you do sports betting where you can base your bet on facts and the statistics of the team your betting and the chance of winning is high. Leverage trading on the other hand is also called a margin trading wherein a user can leverage his cryptocurrency or dollars by borrowing funds which will enable them to increase the trade amount which in return can result to higher profits if you trade right. However, it can be very risky so a trader should study and analyze the market very carefully to make sure the trade is right because if you trade in the wrong side of it then you can lose everything and you still have to pay the leverage that you have applied to that trade.
1665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A trader's best tool for consistent profits on: June 12, 2019, 11:11:16 AM
Indeed a very good tool a trader can use when trading. Discipline is important in a trader to make sure they are able to control their self not to be greedy and whether they have to hold coins or scalp a portion of it. Accountability is also good for you to be able to revisit your trades to check if there could be some areas that needs to improve and possibly create a strategy that will make you even better in trading. Analysis is I think the most important thing a trader need to have because it will determine whether you lose or make profits, it is a must that a trader knows how to analyze the market better to make reasonable and profitable trades.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Someone won freebitco.in lottery already? on: June 12, 2019, 01:14:45 AM
Chances of you actually winning something with that lottery are pretty damn slim. You should invest your time for the better, learn a skill, start trading, offer services,...

I agree, I think its super slim that you can’t depend on lottery to earn money, it would be better to learn trading instead and acquire the necessary skills to be a good trader, it is more reliable than wasting your time and effort in the lottery where the chances of winning is very low.
1667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 11, 2019, 05:37:47 PM
I don’t think bitcoin was completely banned in China and India, as far as I know, correct me if i’m wrong, in China they banned cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms, in India at first they really don’t want to accept bitcoin as a legal tender and they have been doing everything to eliminate bitcoin but this year someone actually filed a petition for the legality of cryptocurrency in India. Therefore, I conclude that though these countries have decided to not support bitcoin but they are only two and there’s still a lot of countries who have been supporting bitcoin so that means it is unlikely for bitcoin to be junk/trash even though China & India banned them. Who knows in the future they will change their minds and accept bitcoin.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Want to quit? Here's how on: June 11, 2019, 04:31:24 PM
What about seeking professional help? I can guarantee that there are people who've tried all your suggestions, yet they're unable to quit gambling.
Some people really have no other option than go into therapy to quit their addictions, whether it's gambling, drugs or anything else.

I think it would be best to seek professional help if you really want to quit gambling instead of trying to do it on you own because there’s a tendency that you will still go back to your old habits, you got addicted for the reason that you can’t control you greed, emotions or whatever thus it would be very difficult to stop yourself by your own unlike if you ask professional help and undergo rehabilitation then you are obliged to really stop and they have activities that will help divert your attention on different things.

1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: June 11, 2019, 03:53:27 PM
I’m in favor of KYC for online casinos because it will make me feel secure to know that the members/players of that site are verified. Aside from that, with their information on the system if someone will do something that is fraud or against the rule then it is easy to identify unlike if no verification is done it is very hard to trace.

Good point but it is also important to make sure that the site we are dealing with is not a scam or fraud because it’s your information that is at stake. Most exchanges or platforms have KYC nowadays and I think it’s good because it can help lessen fraud transactions and can easily be traced, however, one downside could be that fraudsters can still falsify ids just for them to get verified so it is still a must to be very keen and careful who are we talking or dealing with for the security of our coins and information.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: June 11, 2019, 03:12:59 PM
It's a double purposes, thrill and earning at the same time if won. In playing online games we might find satisfaction on completing the game or winning in it, but nonetheless we know that when there's more reward we can get we can feel more thrilled as aiming to challenged ourselves on playing it. Though it really depends on our characteristics whether the gambling games may it be dice or cards entertained you the way adventure/action games does.

I agree, in online games you will be satisfied if you finished the task but at the end you will think it would be better if you have profits while doing so. Yes, most people would say they wanted to gamble for fun but the truth is, its not purely fun alone they also wanted to earn money from it that’s why they gamble instead of playing online games. Also the thrill that you feel while playing online game and gambling is different.
1671  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Philippine's 5 million users on: June 11, 2019, 12:28:26 PM

1672  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anticipating a spike on: June 11, 2019, 11:39:53 AM
Bitcoin is currently at about $8,500. I just placed sell orders at: $11,000, $13,000, and $16,000.

For some reason, I am waiting for a super-long upper shadow. Any thoughts? Any probability?

If you are not in hurry, I don't see any wrong with your tactics. But if you are one of the day traders, for sure you will do scalping.
But if your not familiar with properly, better to stick with your way mate. Besides, you are willing to wait until bitcoin kicks its value
in the market.
Patience is really the key to success, although we all have very high needs and need money on a daily basis which usually warrant a lot of people to go into day trading, but I think waiting for Bitcoin to really pick up is not really going to backfire, and it will be worth it for the investor in the end.

Long term investment in Bitcoin has never disappointed investors in the past fi we buy at dip and not when the market is high. Trading is also not really a bad thing though, if the holder has the strength, skill and the knowledge to do so, at least he can go for the two to have a full benefits from crypto market.

That's right, if you can still afford to wait until the price will spike up then why not if it is for you to get higher profits. Bitcoin for me is the currency that is worth the wait, we may see bumps along the way but bitcoin sure can turn things around. However, if you can't wait any longer then you can do a little scalping but you might lose in the process so I really think it is better to wait that risk of scalping now and loss a long the way.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: June 11, 2019, 11:13:41 AM
Whether it is true or not He became rich through bitcoin, all I can say is that bitcoin can be a way for us to change our lives and it could help us to become rich or lead us down to poor situation. Because, as far as I know bitcoin was a volatile digital currency were there is no stable in terms of price. But this was just my opinion only.

Indeed it is one of the ways that can change our lives most especially if we are smart in handling our bitcoins, it just a matter of properly managing your bitcoins. This boy however has an edge over the other investors because he is from a rich family and he was given thousands of dollars just to buy what he  wants and in this case he bought bitcoins. I'm sorry but I don't envy or i'm not really inspired by his story knowing he didn't get bitcoins from hard work, he was given money to buy it and sell it at the time where bitcoin's price is high, though  I can say he is smart because he was able to sell it at the time where he can get high profits. It would have been better if he started from scratch.
1674  Economy / Economics / Re: Will 2019 take us to Moon or Mars? on: June 11, 2019, 10:36:10 AM
It is still early to say what will really happen because we are just half way through 2019 but I believe bitcoin will be strong enough to recover fast and it is very hard to beat. We have faced a lot of obstacles in the past but Bitcoin was able to stay long until now, we may see fluctuations in the market because of come competition from other companies but I believe bitcoin will not be tamed. Let's just hope for the best for everyone.
1675  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining in the cloud vs simply buying bitcoin on: June 11, 2019, 01:17:39 AM
I think buying bitcoin directly is better than cloud mining because right now it is very hard to mine bitcoins and you need to buy a good software for you to be able to mind effectively and if you also do cloud mining through cloud mining websites it is very risky because a lot has been reported as fraudulent. Also if you own a mining rig maintenance can be very expensive and the value of your mined bitcoins may not be enough to cover the maintenance alone.
1676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto on: June 10, 2019, 04:40:07 PM
No matter who it is, he brings us bitcoin and blockchain technology. For humans, it is a very good technology. Thank you!! Grin

That's right, no matter who Satoshi Nakamoto is we should thankful that he was able to come up with a currency and a technology that helped a lot of people like us. Being said that, I think it is only rightful to let Satoshi enjoy his private life away from controversies so being thankful is enough and as respect for him let's not dig down who he really is.
1677  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I choose on: June 10, 2019, 04:11:26 PM
Investing in cryptocurrency is a good because it can also give big profits but it is very risky at the same time because the market isn’t stable and not all the time the price is rising up. Opening a business on the other hand is also a good option for income depending on the type of business that you’ll be doing. Both are actually a good source of income and both have their good and bad side, its up to you what you really want to do in your life. As for me, I wanted to do both if given the chance and resources.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair dice - real or bulshit ? on: June 10, 2019, 05:58:20 AM
What "fair" refers to, is that you when you win you actually win, and they don't tamper with the odds. Not that they have "fair odds". That's why if you bet at 2x, you have a 49.5% chance of winning, not a 50% chance. That's how they make their money.

Exactly, I think most gamblers misunderstood it to be like that, most of betting sites is provably fair but doesn’t mean they have fair odds, besides they create it to make money this will ensure that the odds is always on their side.
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Royal ramble in the casino on: June 10, 2019, 02:54:44 AM
Gambling can influence anyone and it can also trigger trouble to a greedy player.

I’m quietly playing on the side of the casino when I heard someone was shouting to another player, I’m shock because it happened on casinos so as expected everyone was panicking and most of the players leaves the table. I’m a kind of person that want’s to know every stories, so i ask the other player on that table and he said, the guy was loss everything that’s why he was mad.

Now I conclude that he’s so addict on gambling to become emotional like that, that was my unexpected experience on the casinos. I’m trying to look for a news about this but I think, its not open for the public as casinos are more private as much as possible. Have you experience this one also? Is it normal to have a scene like this?

Scenarios like this can happen to casinos every now and then, gamblers can be as emotional as that some are even worst than that. I haven’t witness any ramble or shouting but I do hear from friends that there was one in the casino who is very mad that he lost everything and started a fight. Well, I don’t think it should be a normal scene in casinos because gamblers are suppose to control their emotions but it can’t be avoided because some will really become mad most especially if they lost almost everything.
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Provably fair slots exist? on: June 10, 2019, 01:19:24 AM
Quote
Just remember one thing though: Even if the site is 'provably fair' that doesn't mean that the odds aren't in the favor of the house. Slots are notorious for having the worst odds that are present in gambling, and you're going to get hammerd by the house edge (which is factored into provably fair, as they do disclose it) I'd recommend playing other games if you want to change the odds a tad. On average, slot machines have a house edge of about 5 to 17 percent

I think most online slots if not all are provably fair is just that most of them the odds are always in favor to the house that’s why sometimes you can feel that it isn’t fair, but that’s how gambling really is whether we like it or not. Owners will always think of getting profits and the bigger profits the better so don’t take it too seriously because it will only stress you out.
