Please note: this Mac wallet is not perfect just yet. Our testers mainly reported that starting the application is slow (it can take about a minute or so to load). We have not been able to determine yet what's causing this, so there's still some work to be done. But we are releasing this version, simply because it does work, it's only the initial startup time that's not ideal. If anyone experiences any kind of difficulty other than the initial startup time of the application, then please let us know.

OSX 10.9.3 here and I can report it is working fine.  No slow startup - is actually quicker than most other wallets and syncs up fine.  No crashes so far either.

Any thoughts on what this coin will level out at

0 - lol just joking.  It needs time and also some further development to make a solid base.
2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GB Coin: Real Team & Workshops & Financial Goals on: July 01, 2014, 03:58:45 PM

Yes me too. Sometimes you have to refresh and re-login.  I think it's a security measure but it doesn't actually say anything  unless you refresh.

No matter how many times I refreshed, logged out, refreshed, logged back in, cleared cache, refreshed, used Chromium instead of Firefox, (I even tried Windows and IE - aaargh), it usually still didn't work - maybe worked 1 in 10 times.

I contacted swisscex about this and they say there has been a problem but it should be fixed now. It affected people in the UK more than elsewhere apparently. Hopefully it'll stay working now.

Hash rate and difficulty rising as well as GBC up the voting charts like a rocket reasonable fast thing Cheesy

That's weird.  I'm in the UK and haven't had that.

Hi I was wondering if you would be interested in setting up a multipool for Scrypt-N that paid out in GBC.  There would be a bounty for doing this?

I'm voting on all these exchanges as often as I can. Great to see GBC rising up the lists Cool

Keep mining, keep voting

Quite often the swisscex interface doesn't load properly for me - more text than graphic, and I can't vote - do others get the same?

Guys keep voting at all these places every hour:

Swisscex (no. 2 here at the moment: 3 votes/hour): https://www.swisscex.com/voting

Allcoin (currently no. 18, 1 vote/hour): https://www.allcoin.com/vote

Comkort (currently no. 20, 3 votes/hour): https://comkort.com/vote

Mintpal (currently 224, 1 vote/hour): https://www.mintpal.com/voting

Keep tweeting @BittrexExchange on Twitter to add GBC (They respond to twitter pressure and the more original, humorous or interesting the better).

Apology accepted, I understand your concern but this is something you have to trust the devs with.  Also try not to invest more than you can afford to lose. This will erase the emotional attachment to your investment.

But in the meantime, sit back, relax, and watch VOOT go to the moon Grin

Yeah you're probably right - it's just the way things are in crypto at the moment - very easy to get paranoid:)

It's not FUD - it's a concern.

Use private messages for this. This concern you can scare off new investors ...  Wink

Yeah sorry.  You're right.  Will do that in future:)

i think selling on the forums would be great, how about some sell packages at a set price with btc with a few color coins for the upcoming market.

I already sold the needed 700k coin since last week, It's just funny that someone thinks that 700k voot sale kept the price down.

Yeah funny isn't it.  If you are running the show this coin is doomed.

Let me remind you of our achievements so far

1]Nitesend: This only cost 5BTC, Libertycoin had much larger bounty and they cant get it done.
2] bounty pot: I was given 10BTC as a takeover fund, as at current price vootcoin bounty pot is valued at 17 BTC. I can say we are one of the richest community
3]Increased price, volume and voot popularity

Yes that's all excellent but what I'm saying is it's about perception.  Any sale will have any effect on price that can't be avoided but the psychological effects of these sell-offs is what I'm most concerned about.  Just please think about the alternative forum selling route.

700K voot was sold last week, not at once but over a period of 2-3 days i think.  Please stop over-reacting 700k will not hurt voot vol of  7788832.23478840 VOOT

Apologies for calling you stupid but please understand this sort of thing scares people off a coin.  Compared to the total amount of coins 700K is not huge but in terms of the volume available at any one time it can be quite large.  Also a lot in alt-markets (stocks/shares also) is about perception and human psychology.  People don't always react in a logical rational manner, this kind of selling off is bad PR in that sense.  The idea of selling on the forum at the CoinMarketCap rate without discount is a good one.  This way it doesn't affect the price and nobody can say that forum members are getting some sort of advantage.

Guys chill the fuck out.

Selling 700k VOOT is not a problem...

Let MsCollec do what she needs to fund the development. I don't give a flying fuck if its in VOOT, BTC, or monopoly money! The outcome will be the same, we want a services performed and were going to pay whatever they want us to pay them in.

End of story, quit crying.

Good for you but you are a moron then.

I'm sorry but you are the moron if you believe 700k VOOT is going to bring down this market.  You obviously are a peon.

Maybe.  We'll see. Apologies for calling you a moron am just fed up with developers and team members who are clueless but please don't continue this practice it will only scare off investors in the end.

Ok, all the voot will be converted back to btc

That response makes no sense.  Voot being converted to BTC is the problem.  Do you know what you're doing?

patience people!! price is stable. its went from 50 sat to where its at now. use your brains and hold.

The problem isn't people selling.  It's MsCollec or whoever is selling hundreds of thousands of coins to get BTC for development.  It's probably the stupidest strategy you could use.  Also the price is stagnant.  It is half of what it was and despite good news it continues to keep dipping.   This is without a doubt due to this foolish strategy of creating a VOOT fund and selling that to get BTC.  Whoever thought of that strategy needs to be taken out and shot (figuratively).  Any payments to develop VOOT should be made in VOOT.  That way anyone who works on it has a vested interest in the price rising.

Not sure when you got on the train, but the original bounty for Voot Market was 5 BTC which we all knew was no where close to what is needed. So MsCollec did a SMART thing by buying Voot in the 200- 300 SAT range. Sold what was needed to promise the initial 5 BTC. So now we have 5 BTC and 1.2M VOOT how is that not a sound strategy.

This is the best way instead of asking the community to donate for development. Don't worry about the price, once Nitesend wallet is released price will go back to where it needs to be. Buy cheap now.

Really?  This is just ridiculous.  Look at the price of any coin and what happens when you dump a lot of coins.  Yes MsCollec may be making a profit on the coins but selling so many over a short period hurts the coin.  Yes it might recover but that is some time in the future and there are plenty of other things to derail it until then.  Selling large amounts of VOOT to convert into BTC is a retarded strategy and if you think that this is a good thing then you don't understand markets at all.

Won't this selling of large amounts of VOOT to raise BTC be killing the price?  No wonder it's won't go up.  I think this is a flawed way of doing things.
